Audition

Not sure why, but suddenly, I can no longer drag audio files into Audition on Mac OS Sierra. The only way is to go the file, import route instead. Was working previously. Any adice would be greatfully received - thanks! 

Not only does audition crash all the dang time but it also won't let me save sessions until I quit. I edit a session, which creates a little asterisk next to the session listed in the file panel. I hit save, nothing. When I quit it asks me to save but also crashes half the time.  Audition hasn't been stable since 2019. Incredibly frustrating.

Hallo,ich habe zusammen mit Freunden bei einem Casting Filmaufnahmen gemacht. Leider ist uns hierbei ein kleiner Fehler unterlaufen und wir haben die Kamera auf Mic und nicht auf Line für den Toneingang gestellt.Der Fehler ist uns allerdings erst am Abend aufgefallen und wir können die Aufnahen nicht wiederholen. Jetzt zu meinem eigentlichen Problem. Wenn ich die Audiodatei in Audition öffne und den DeClipper nach geclippten stellen suchen lasse, dann findet dieser keine geclippten stellen, obwohl man das Clipping deutlich hört. Hat vielleicht jemand eine Idee wie ich die Audio möglichst gut retten kann? Mir ist bewusst, dass die Audio niemals mehr perfekt werden kann es geht auch nur darum noch das bestmöglichste rauszuholen. Ich habe mal einen Ausschnitt unten beigefügt (Minute 1-2) und einen Screenshot aus Auditon. Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe schoneinmal im Vorraus GrüßeJonas

So, it used to be that in Multitrack Editor, when you crossfaded two clips, it would be Asymmetrical by default: I loved that. That's usually what you (or at least I) want. Now (as of the latest update, I think), it's always Symmetrical and I have to switch it back every single time. Is there a way to set the default back to Asymmetrical? If so, I cannot find it!

I have a multi-track session that I use as a template for my podcast.  I created this session years ago.  When I produce a new episode, I pull up this template which has my intro and outro music saved on it.  I then record my episode in this session.  The problem I have is that the recording date listen in the MetaData will always default to when I first created the session years ago.  If I erase and type in the date and save it, it switches it back before it saves.  I did confirm that if I create a new session, the Recording Date populates correctly.  If I hover over the Recording Date field, it says (xmp:CreateDate) so I believe this field will populate with the date the file was originally created regardless of when you actually record in it.  So, if I create a new multi-track session today, do nothing with it for a week, record audio, and then save it, the Recording Date will show a week ago because that field is populated with when the file

I am looking for a key command or a button to hit once that will take me back to the beginning of a track. Can you change the Move Playhead to Previous button to Move Playhead to Beginning? Right now I am having to drag the timeline cursor manually back and there has to be a better way.

I am looking to zoom in and out of tracks like you can with Photoshop and Illustrator. I think this would be a more efficient way of navigating than the zoom bar at top offers.

I was recording a wedding ceremony and I was short of breath, from some scrambling I had to to get in the right position, during the ceremony my shotgun mic caught some of my breathing and now its under the ministers voice, does anyone know of a way to centralize his voice and eliminate my background breathing?

can someone please tell me how to raise my RMS by .4 db. Thanks 

Recording a conversation — my side locally into Audition (on Yeti mic), my partner's locally through Zoom.  I use my track of the Zoom recording only to find where to line up and sync with my local recording, and then use the local track for the actual mix.   Crazy part is — and this didn't use to happen — the track is lined up in one place and then becomes unaligned immediately, sometimes early, sometimes late.  It's exactly the same length but it's as if the pauses are stretched in certain places, or the conversation is stretched half a percent, or... I have no idea.  It's making me question the nature of time.  Image attached shows how the (local) track is synced to start, early at the cursor, late at the playhead.  What's going on???

And then there is an audio-loop if I don't putt the faders of the mixer down. But I need these faders open when I want to here the playback of the audio in Audition. I've lost so much time because I forget to put these faders down.Can I somewhere in Audiotion put the direct output out when I record in WAVE-mode, but when I'm in playmode (in WAVE-mode) automaticaly the output is on?

Buenas,Estaba editando un proyecto en Audition y me dio error. Se cerró inesperadamente y perdí todo el trabajo que había hecho hoy. Pero eso no es lo peor. Lo peor es que tenía todos mis ajustes de aplicación guardados y ya preestablecidos, es decir, tenía mis efectos favoritos ya definidos, mi espacio de trabajo, TODO. Es muy importante para mi poder recuperar los ajustes de mi "perfil" de Audition, por decirlo de alguna manera. Una solución que encontré es que debía darle a Archivo/ Importar/ Ajustes de Aplicación... Me ilusioné a penas vi la dirección a la que me llevaba, pues había un archivo que decía "favorites.xml", pero al intentar importarlo me salió el siguiente error "No se ha podido importar el archivo Favorites.xml como ajustes de la aplicación debido a un error desconocido." Ya no sé qué hacer. ¡Es mi tesis la que está en juego! Espero alguien pueda ayudarme a reparar el programa, no sé cómo hacerlo, no sé si hay manera...

I used Adobe yesterday to record an audition with no issues. Today when I recorded, I noticed a great deal of noise inside the vocal file?I powered my system down and back up as sometimes this clears issues. Same noise again. I switched to another DAW (Twisted Wave). No noise there. Clear vocals. Therefore not my mic or interface. I uninstalled and reinstalled Audition. Problem with noise still exist?  I'm using Audition 2020. My Apple MacBook is not compatible with the latest update  but it worked great without the update before? Help! I chatted with support this am but found them to be less than helpful. For example, even after explaining that it worked fine with Twisted Wave they asked if I could try another Mic?? 

Hi,Recenly upgraded all our office suites to 2020 intel iMacs and have run into an odd problem: Audition't UI is blurry. I've attached a screenshot below. Retina display is currently set to the default, but the blurriness persists at other settings too. Most recent version of Audition. Has anyone else run into this issue?

SO I accedentally closed my project and I am searching to get it back. I have had Auto Save on and now I am trying to get the project back. However there is no path or something like that. I have had the Option "In Folder Session" but even dont know what this is. Can anybody help me to get my project back with "In Folder Session"? I urgely need it.

Hi  I have managed to X out the Mixer window in my workspace. Now I can't for the life of me figure out how i can get it back. I have a two screen set up, with timeline and media browser on one screen and mixer on the other. Please help!

I have a wav file which I accedentally have overwriten in adobe audition. Now I have closed the same project. Is there any way to save my file?

When I select a small portion of audio (a minute or two)  for audition to detect silences. It works.When I select the whole audio file (an hour long) and tell it to detect silent parts. It's results are durastically different.What is going on?First image is it detecting silence well.The second image has highlighted audio that audition is thinking is silence when it clearly isn't

Out of the blue its saying you have a trail version and need to register it in 30 days. I've had this purchased software (with product code) since 2012. Adobe won't do anything since its not supported anymore. Any idea's and or suggestions to make this run again, thanks..

I have installed Cool Edif 2000 on Windows 10 pro, It's OK, it's the trial version. It's the normal way.I click on "buy now" to enter my ID, but in this window "enter serial number" is grayed.What am I doing wrong?
