Audition

Hey Guys.  So I'm running into an issue.  I need my phantom power for my new condensor mic but I cant get access to channels 5 and 6 on my interface through audition.  When in preferences - audio channel mabbing - It only has inputs for Right and left as the 2 options.  I don't understand how to add inputs as available options.    I've seen online where people have an aray of input options to choose from when arming a track but I can't figure out how to get audition to recognize the other 6 input tracks on my ZOOM R16.  For examply if I wanted to arm 8 tracks to record 8 separate mics at one time to capture drums in audition I'm stumped on how to make all of these channels available as an option to select for each track. I know it can be done but I haven't found the answer on how to do it online so I've come here.    Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.   Thanks,  Will~ 

I'm trying to write automation in Audition. I have a session that I have been working on, but now all my automation selections are in red and won't let me do any automation besides read. Does anyone know why this is happing or how to fix it?

Hi, I deleted all clip+ Track effects for in the effects rack.Delete all clip+ Track effects of the master track as well.Still hear reverb on my audio track.All the other tracks of the song are fine.Am I missing something?Thanks

When I'm processing an audio file, I'll pull it into Audition and run a series of effects. I have several effects set up as a script under the "Favorites" menu. But I'm running into a problem. I'll select the portion of the waveform I want to modify and click the script I want to run. The first few effects will be applied just fine, but then the selected area will change on its own, and the rest of the effects will be applied to the smaller selection only. I don't know if it matters, but it seems that when it gets to the "denoise" effect, the selected area changes. I'm currently using version 13.0.12.45, but I had the exact same issue with version 12 as well. Anyone have a clue what's going on?   System info: Windows 10 Pro x64-based PC Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2623 v3 @ 3.00GHz (x2) 64 GB RAM    

I'm trying to figure out why my audition keeps crashing? The minute I input the audio hardware, it crashes. Any help?

Hi. Recently I have a problem with Adobe Audition on Win 10 pc that puzzles me.As soon as I launch the program and click anywhere or try to move the application window it freezes for like 20 seconds ( say "not responding" in the window bar and goes milky white )and then unfreezes and do what I wanted to do like click or move window. Sometimes the entire application window starts to flash very rapidly. The icon in the Win 10 activity bar also flashes and inside the win 10 activity monitor it also comes on and off. This flashing goes on for some 10-15 seconds.The app never crash totally, it always comes back, but after 1-2-3 cicks it freezes again.No other apps are affected when this happens. Windows and everything else work as normal during the freeze timeThe only unusual behaviour I have spotted is that during launch it halts a couple of seconds on "Initializing auUI" but that could be normal, I dont know.This has started only the last 2-3 weeks. I have tried for hours to find a drum plugin that works with CC Audition....no luck. Any help would be very appreciated. 

Apple recent update OSX released, big sur  Is Adobe audition cc 2020  compatible with this big update 12.18 GB How can i be assured audition will work any news or advice please appreciate it

Hi there. This is my first post -- sorry if this is super basic or obvious.  I just installed my own copy of Audition (no longer have access to my work one that I'd been using for years and had IT support for and was jigged to my needs). I'm using a Surface Pro with decent memory and RAM.  I'm having an issue in multitrack editor when I use the automatic crossfade function. When I remove a chunk of silence between two bits of speech [alt backspace, whatever that is called] and drag the righ clip to overlap and crossfade withthe left, it seems to be generating a click or pop quite often. I have been using AAu years and never had this. It's as if I'm just cutting with no fade at all.  At first I thought it was a playback issue, but when i bounce to a new track, the pop/click is there. The pop/click is not present on either clip before doign the crossfade. Is this an issue with memory allocation? Or some standard setting that needs adjusting? I am cluele

I have a laptop with it's own speakers and a USB Blue Yeti microphone connected to it. I configured the hardware this way:  Now, the weird thing is this. When I press play in Audition to listen what I just recorded I can only hear it if in Windows I select Blue Yeti as my audio output:  If I select my speakers as outout, nothing comes out of them, if I select my microphone as outout, sound comes out of my speakers. What's going on? The second problem is this. Even though I'm almost reaching red on my recording signal, when I play back it's quite quiet. Changing the volume of my laptop has no effect, the volume of playback doesn't change (other than if I lower it all the way to 0, the playback gets properly muted). Any ideas what's going on here? Is there a way to have this work sensibly? I tried using WASAPI as the interface and the result was horrible mess of crackling noise.

I have a problem , I have downloaded a song at normal speed now I want to speed it up to 2x (double) then I want to post it on youtube and view the song there at 0.5x (half speed) so in effect , the song should play the same as normal speed . But this is not happening , the singer's voice is becoming rough. Hi allI'm assuming I'm making a simple settings error. When connecting my Zoom H2n to Audition and recording in a single audio track, it is playing back at an altered, higher pitch. Any ideas as to where I'm going wrong? 

Greetings!  I have used Audition 1.5 for over 15 years without a problem -- until now. I can record with no issues. But when I play a file, it only plays for about two seconds and then stops. I have closed and re-launched the program. I have re-booted my computer. Nothing has fixed the problem. Help!

I cannot access audio OneDrive Professional files on my hard drive. They are not shown! Why is this? I can see them in Windows Explorer but since I cannot access them, then I can't work wirh them of course. Also, when started twice, Audition says that it cannot load my default input/output devices and that my microphone and speaker are disabled but they work fine. After loading the devices or whatever it's called, fianlly the message no longer ocurrs. I am using version 13.0.12.45.

Hello, I'm embarrased to say how long I have been trying to isolate and remove the sound of a Windows notification from a clip. I can't see anything distinguishable in the waveform, so I'm not able to successfully capture any noise print, or apply the Sound Remover. If anyone could give me some guidance I would be grateful. Eric

Is there anything that can be done for a corrupted file that has a large file size but when it opens in Audition it won't play and has no waveform? Usually it happens when I created the file in Audition as a multitrack mixdown recording but when I go to reopen the session file it can't locate the track file or the track file opens but there is nothing to play. I'm using a Macbook Pro 2020 and latest Audition version. What confuses me is that the file size of the file I'm trying to open is quite large and/or exactly the correct size it should be but it seems as if Audition still doesn't think there's any usable audio there. Is there anything that can be done to fix this or prevent it from happening? It usually happens when Audition crashes or my laptop battery dies but its hard to avoid those things from time to time. 

When adjusting track EQ, is there a way to reset all the parameters? For example, after I tweak a bunch of parameters, how do I get it back to the way I started.  I have a similar question in the convolution reverb effect settings. After I tweak settings, how do I reset it? Also, If I add a bunch of keyframes on my clip to adjust the volume, how do I reset the clip's keyframes and reset the clip back to normal volume? On a normal knob or slider you can alt + click to reset it. What is the reset button for EQ, track keyframes, or effect settings (like convolution reverb)? I want to get the first picture (changed settings) to look like the second picture (original settings).  

For long voice recordings, I would like to use keyboard shortcuts to quickly finish my edits. However, after I set my in and out points, I cannot use the shortcut for Ripple Delete (alt + backspace) until I click on the area between the in and out points with my mouse to select it. Is there anyway to select the area between the in and out points without clicking on it with my mouse? I tried searching for this shortcut and also looking into the Keyboard Shortcuts but cannot seem to figure it out. If anyone knows I would appreciate learning this feature. Thank you!

So, I'm using a Virtual Audio Cable so that I could record my microphone in Audition and send all of the input towards that Virtual Cable. Using this method I can enhance my voice live. But unfortunately, when I try to test it while recording myself on the webcam, I can see that my lips and voice coming out of them are out of sync. I tried deselecting Smart Monitoring, but I still can hear and see the delay.I have the latency set to 100 and when I put it to 50, there is a small difference, but still enough to notice that the input and output are out of sync. I want to make sure that there is literally 0 latency/delay between them!Does anyone know how I can make it so, as it really bothers me?!Thanks for the help in advance!

hello there... I am new to the community and haveing problems with my adobe audition 3... it is not letting me access my projects anymore, says there is an error in the required application  library, please reinstall the  application, ,... I see from other post that are old 2016-18  etc about Looking to activate Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, or Macromedia products? but cannot seem to get anything but the  instruction downloads pdf files... is it true now that adobe audition is just dead now ??? my old system  will never work again ??? I have win 7 and reciently cloned my HD to a new one, but I dont thnk AU was working before that, last time I used it was about 5 months ago... I am an older user and cannot figure out WHAT is going on, or how to get my system up and running again... some how I need a step by step way to resolve this issue... thanks in advance, gittargary@gmail.com

Please help as this was a very time-sensitive project due yesterday... I used to be able to easily tighten up my audios by deleting all the silent pauses and dropouts, but now the Delete All button doesn't work after I did the update.  What is going on?  The Scan worked for the long silent pauses- just the Delete button doesn't work (it just does nothing when I click Delete), and now even when I scan for short digital dropouts, nothing comes up there either when usually I would see multiple. What can I do??  

why can't I organize files into folders in Adobe Audition? I think it would be a great option.

I have created a keyboard shortcuts for 'fade in normal' & 'fade out normal' and linked them to the 3rd and 4th buttons on my trackball. (Would be great if I could map both to one button click. Is there a way to do this with some kind of action or macro?) The fades by default are set to cover the full length of the clip. How do I adjust their default length to something like 5ms to apply to clip edits?
