Audition

First the limiters stop working in premeir pro and now this. Adobe does not want me to edit audio.  CPU - Ryzen 9 5950xGPU - EVGA Nvidia RTX 3070 8GBGPU driver (PC) - Nvidia Studio Driver Version: 572.16RAM - 32gb DDR4 3200Mhz (x2 8gb + x1 16gb) Operating system - Windows 10 pro 22H2 19045.5487Program version -  Audition 25.0   Premier pro 25.1Hard Drive - 2tb Lexar SSD (internal sata) Video format - Fragmented MP4 (.mp4) and/or H264 mp4, Proxies are Pro res Quicktime Proxy  Workflow details: Project has 2 audio tracks, one for voice and one for game audio, recorded in OBS. this exact set up used to work and ive been using it for almost a year now. Steps to reproduce 1.create project in Premier pro 2.import clip  3. highlight clips and unlink (still happens without doing this). 4.right click on audio clip and select "edit clip in adobe audition Expected result  - Clip shou

Is there a way to select all of the clips on a multitrack sequence where the playhead is? I have a 4 track project and it would save a lot of time. I can razor all 4 tracks at once but I have to manually highlight all 4 clips in order to ripple delete them.

I am having an issue i can no longer today export my entire mixdown as  mp3.When i try the option entire session is greyed out. Note i am in multitrackAppreciate if someone has  a solution

I often use the Frequency analysis view for comparing several averaged spectrums with each other. Sometimes you want to use one spectrum as a reference and see the spectral deviation of other recordings compared to the reference. This can be handy when you want to analyse spectral changes in different setups.  Let's say that you want to analyse the attenuation of a physical door. You set up a loudspeaker and a microphone on each side of a door opening. First you record white noise with open door, then you close the door and record white noise through the closed door.  Spectrum1 - spectrum2 will give the spectral attenuation. Is there a way to do this in Adobe Audition? The best solution would be if Spectrum1 could be used as reference for every new spectrum that is calculated. Then you will get the true attenuation spectrum for each test case.  Any advise on this? Please contact me on [personal email address redacted - Adobe policy] if you like.

Hi, We recently upgraded one of our end users laptop and installed Adobe Audition. When they are trying to open files from Audition which are saved on One Drive and the shortcut is in File Explorer we get the following download box. I asked the end user to close down the software and re-open and open the same file and the 2nd time no download box appears. As the end user is not very IT literate I have best explained why this is happening but they are wondering if there is any way to avoid seeing the download box We are running Windows 11 Pro on a Lenovo E15 laptop. 

I'm working in Audition for years, but never had this before... The sound quality when I play something in Audition is very low... as if it was super low bitrate.. Any tips where the problem could be ?

Hello! I just installed Audition 2024 on my macOS Sonoma 14.5 today. When I tried to import a WAV file, I got the following error message: Error: AmioLSF plug-in could not open the file. Code: 1. Unrecognized Format. I'm not familiar with the message and the latest forum post I found about it was from 2017. Help? 

I just did a Windows 10 install on 2 workstations that were running 7 and updated to the latest versions of Premiere and Audition. Everything went perfect except I have a problem with the "edit in Audition" feature. I am getting - "the file is in use by another application and cannot be overwritten". Both computers are doing the same thing so I am assuming something the 10 install caused it. I tried several clips and its stuck. It will let me do a "save as" to the drive with a different name and I can manually replace it but that takes extra time. . I reloaded the software on one of the workstations just in case the but the problem stays. I used the stations last week before the update and must have used the feature at least 10 times from the timeline so it always worked. I double checked the cache settings and everything seems in order. Any suggestions were to start. I've been doing sound editing of a film project on Audition with multitracks with video reference. Now, I want to export everything as a video file with audio, but for whatever reason, the "Export with Adobe Media Encoder" option in the Export drop menu is greyed-out (but funnily enough, the "Export to Adobe Premiere Pro" is not). Does someone has a clue as to how to "ungrey" it, so that I can export my video and audio tracks together with Encoder?Note: The project was created from scratch in Adobe Audition, it's not coming from Premiere Pro through Dynamic Link.Thanks!

Hi,when I use rendered mode für stretching the audio level is clipping constantly afterwards. It's not hearable but the level indicator is showing clipping almost all the time. This only happens in rendered mode, not in real-time mode. I would like to use rendered mode as it is supposed to be higher quality.Does anyone have the same problem or an explanation? Thanks from Germany,Christian

Is there a way to completely remove vocals from a song?

Hi....I am editing a daily podcast from a 1970's radio show. The audio has a quiet slilght echo of the actual speech about 1-2 seconds before the person actual speaks the words...it is noticable when the speaker is quiet...there is an audio clip posted below... on the clip....the person says "And God is the mighty Creator" and you can hear the quiet echo of that phrase BEFORE they actually speak it...is there something I can do to remove that echo on the entire audio file all at once? thanks currently I am using "adobe podcast enhancer" then some noise reduction then "scrubbing" the audio...I don't think the audio is overprocessed....but I could be wrong...also I hear this all the time on audio for old vhs tapes too if anyone has a cure that would be great...thanks

I have old audio tapes that were originally recorded near a road and often there are trucks driving and shifting gears in the background as the voice recordings were made...Adaptive noise reduction reduces this to an occasional low hum maybe around maybe 50-100 hz (?) that occurs in 2-10 second sections around 2-3 times in each 20 minute tape...adaptive noise reduction removes 80% of the truck noise but there is a noticable hum left over this occurs underneath words I haven't been able to remove it. I tried dehummer but it takes out way too much of the vocal lows, sound remover does work either because the truck noise is often to close to the vocal to capture just the truck noise...I attached an audio file...thanks any help would be GREATLY appreciated...take care. 

Hey everyone,I’m trying to edit a podcast and am new to all of this. I’ve edited all of my audio files in the waveform view and have “applied” any and all effects to my audio. When I right click on the audio file and export it to a track in the multitrack it doesn’t sound like it does in the waveform?  The waveform sounds so much better. It’s driving me nuts because all I want to do is launch my podcast with the best audio and things like this keep slowing me down. i hope you can help!  Thanks!

My apologies for asking such a stupid question, but I am new to Audition and have never seen such a cumbersome interface in my life.  I have used Logic, Audacity, and ProTools and things like setting In and Out points, and trimming to a selected region is all extremely intuitive and straightforward.  But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do any of that in Audition. If I select a region of a track, the "Trim to Selection" is grayed out.  The closest thing I can find to In and Out markers are "cues", but I have no way of knowing whether that is the same thing. I have watched and read some of the introductory tutorials and even searched for "Trim to Selection" in the search bar, but I have yet to find anywhere that describes how to do this most basic editing function. I feel like an Olympic runner who is asking someone to help him tie his shoes by asking such a dumb question, but if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. 

I felt like adobe enhance speech just ridiculous , can make a bad audio turns to good... i wondered how i can make my own quality match like enhance speech from adobe using adobe premiere pro or audition, so let me know guys if you have some advice or settings, just drop in the comments, Thanks

I'm been using Audition to open Premiere projects to be able to view the exact timecode my cursor is on. This method has been working perfectly, however recently I've been having an issue with the right channel being muted on a stereo track, and no way to click it back. This only happens in the waveform view, multitrack view plays stereo fine.Adobe Audition 25.0.0.47Macbook Pro, M1 Pro, Sequoia 15.3 Update: this issue is happening in the most recent beta version of Audition as well.

I have a long list of single words separated by silence that I want to auto-split into sound files.It appears that at some point, Audition could do this, using Auto-Cue, but that the functionality might have been removed as far back as 2012 and has never returned: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1109366Am I wrong?  Hi, I hoping someone can suggest a way to use Audition to salvage the audio on a few recordings I made of a solo music performance this weekend.  Somehow, the audio for each of the five short videos I recorded ended up with the narration from the Audible audio book I'm currently listening to embedded on top of the music and vocals.     Is there any way that I can use any of the noise reduction/restoration effects, or any other Audition tools, to isolate and remove the audio book track?    Obviously, I can access the audio book narration itself (from Stephen King's '11/22/63...') to create any noise prints or samples needed.   Thanks in advance for any advice ! These are sort of irreplacible tracks. 

I have a problem you guys may or may not be able to help with.I bought a 2024 Mustang that had the B&O sound system in it and while it sounded okay it did not sound as good as the aftermarket system I had in my Lincoln LS.As a result, I had the system replaced with new amps and speakers and went top of the line. I am a 66 year old Doctor so it isn’t necessary for me to say how much the upgrade cost but it was all Focal Speakers and top of the line amplifiers. Here is the problem.I bought the Mustang before I sold the LS and there was no comparison between the LS system and the Mustang Factory B&O system.Before I sold my LS I put one of the Service people at the Dealership into each car playing the same song and asked why the LS sounded so much better than the Mustang B&O system. He told me Ford deliberately had the Mustang stereo roll off the Bass because they didn’t want to be replacing speakers under warranty constantly with people blowing them out playing Rap M

Hello, thank you in advance for reading this. I am new to using Adobe Audition for recording voiceover. I recorded two sessions using the waveform editor and they sound great. My third session I recorded in the multitrack editor as I wanted to test the function of listening to playback while recording (although I didn't end up using it), and as far as I can remember the audio sounded equally great as my other recordings when I played it back. Now as I'm sitting down to edit the files, the recording sounds quiet, hollow, and tinny -- of a different quality than the other audios that I recorded. The only thing that I did differently was record in multitrack as opposed to waveform so I imagine that is the source of the problem. Everything else was the same (studio recording setup, microphone, mic technique, etc.). (It's not just a playback issue either, as I've exported the audio in wav and mp3, and when played in other software the sound is equally poor. I am trying to figure out how I can change the media & disk cache settings for all users on Mac to the same folder where they can all access the same session template. The problem I am facing is that the media & disk cache settings for each users are defaulting to their individual adobe document instead of a share network adobe folder. How do I change the media & disk cache settings for all Mac users to default to a shared folder instead of their individual documents?

Hello, Sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find ANYTHING. I cannot get Audition to simply record my audio- not even from built-in input. I've made sure my sample rate is the same throughout, I made sure everything is connected, and I made sure the computer itself recognized the audio. Any idea on why I can't even get the meter input signal to show anything? Thanks, Nick
