Hi, Folks -What Windows tablet is recommended for Audition? I'm looking for an inexpensive tablet to take on the road to record voiceover auditions...
Hi, I started with Audition 13 2-3 months ago, thanks to a friend. To keep the audio latency down, I used to adjust the buffer size in "Edit => Preferences => Audio Hardware". Now I can't find it anymore because of the newest version. There is something to adjust the Latency but it doesn't help much, even when I put it into 30 ms. I can't record myself without a big latency that really bugs me. Can somebody help me, please?
I encoundtered a CD burning error with the Audition 14.0 update.I am posting this here to hopefully learn when the issue is correected. With the help of an Adobe agent I installed the prior version and shut off auto-updates. Thank you community! Paul
Does a possibility of using the old codec/filters for m4a-audiofiles do exist, if you do not develope your own mp4 filter (read/write). The mpeg 4-audio format is very good audio format. The sound is very good and the file size incredibly small. I can open m4a-files, because Audition interprets them as m2a or mpeg 2 AAC-audiofiles, if and only if a file have no specifications at all, but I could not write m4a-files. Does a possibility exist to make that possible? Best regards Bernd König
Since last week my Audition has started crashing, mostly at the end of a session where I have the client on zoom but now also just while im recording on my own. I am a voice actor and twice in the last week I finished the session and it froze and I had to force quit. When I reopened and recovered the files the last few seconds off of every take was either silence or weirdly had pulled audio from a completely different file. Today I had a live session and thankfully decided to export a copy at the second to last take. Sure enough at the end of the last take it froze, I was SO grateful I had already exported and saved myself about an hour of additional unnecessary work! Now its freezing while not on zoom... this might be the log data you were referring to... Anyone else having issues with today's so-called "update?" Used the app this morning for several hours. No problem. As soon as Adobe forced this new rev I can't keep the app working for more than a couple of minutes before it crashes. Usually without saving changes. This (or similar issues) seems to happen every single time Audition is "updated." Of course, there's no support to speak of. How much am I paying for this? Unbelievable.
Hi. I'm a new Audition user, so I'm not familiar with many of the features / specific terms. I edited a 20 minute podcast episode in Audition, which worked great. Seemingly randomly as I'm editing, though, specific clips will become distorted and start sounding echoey and odd. They're always clips of narration that have been pitch-shifted down a couple semitones, but it isn't the same clips each time. If I go back and play the distorted clip over again, or if I remove and replace identical the audio (with all the same effects on it), it solves the problem for that clip but then another will spontaneously distort. I thought it was just a rendering problem but it persists when exported as .WAV and .mp3. I can export the audio three times in a row with the same settings and different clips will be affected. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know what to do!
How to cut the sounds which are all below -30db level in a conversation record file?
Frequency analysis was performed with the following Python code. def GetFreq(wav_file_path, start_sec, end_sec, N): overlap_pt = N//2 #50% overlap #read wav file ir, fs = sf.read(wav_file_path) st_sample = int(start_sec*fs) ed_sample = int(end_sec*fs) frame_num = (ed_sample - st_sample) // overlap_pt - 1 #window window = np.blackman(N) acf = 1/(sum(window)/N) FFT_result_dB = np.zeros((0, N//2+1)) for i in range(frame_num): FFT_result_dB = np.append(FFT_result_dB, np.zeros((1, N//2+1)), axis=0) st = st_sample+i*overlap_pt ed = st+N #windowed x_windowed = ir[st:ed]*window #FFT F = np.fft.fft(x_windowed) F = F * (2.0 / N) #Normalization F = F * acf F_abs_amp = np.abs(F) F_abs_amp_dB = 20.0 * np.log10(F_abs_amp + 1.0e-10) FFT_result_dB[i] = F_abs_amp_dB[:N//2+1] #Averaging fft_out = np.average(FFT_result_
I got an update yesterday, and now the Effects > Special > Vocal Enhancer > Female (and Male) are broken. How do I fix it? Also, I will be recording and the pitch will randomly change, as if there was a birtrate mismatch. Sometimes it occurs in a single file, sometimes it happens when I close one file and open another. Rebooting the computer fixes this, but there has to be a better way.
How do I make it so that new files that are created from existing file that I have already named also have the same name with the new file type default name appended to them? For example, I create the file(s) in a multitrack session and when I initiate this process I name it something unique like Recording12345. From this session I have to work with individual tracks or "bounced clips" (not sure what the difference is or what bounce means but that's a minor concern) and in order to do so Audition will create the new file(s) called Track_001.wav, Track_002.wav, Bounce_001.wav, etc. How do I get it to automatically name the files by appending the new file type name to the end of the original file name? So a new file from that session would automatically be named Recording12345_Track_001.wav. Whenever I go back to save the files its very confusing, if I experience a frequent crash its harder to recover files, and if I have more than one session open the files almost b
hello, I just got the shure mv88+ and set it up and it works pretty great on the waveform editor however I tried to use it on the multitrack editor but it's not working.
I have a sketch show I am making. It requires cutting different pieces out of each take and then combining them together on one track to make a continuous performance. The problem I have is when I want to do post effects I'm told I need to do it in the waveform view, but when I go to the waveform it takes me to each individual waveform for each individual track as opposed to a waveform from the combined tracks on the mulitrack view. How do I get the mulitrack channel to become a new separate waveform so I can then edit/add effects without having to mess with all the sperate tracks waveforms?
Hello, since I installed the latest version of Audition, 14.1.0.43, when I go recording diving audios in the same directory, in the Audition Explorer, it is not updated automatically, I have to return back and recharge, before if you did it. ... happens to you?
Hi! This just started (on Audition 13.x, can't find what exactly it was) and I tried to solve by restaring and upgrading Audition to 14.1-- but still have the same issue. When I stop playback, using Spacebar, the playhead stops and then jumps forward about 5-10ms... barely noticeable but of course when you stop you want to stop... is it trying to do me a favour with some fancy setting here, or is it a bug, and how do I stop it? I've been using Audition for as long as I can remember (on this system and my 11-year-old iMac) without noticing this before. Any advice, cheers. I've also tried playing with the Playback settings, it doesn't seem to be related to the "return playhead" issue, which is all that comes up when trying to google this issue. On Macbook 2019 2.6GHz i7 16Gb OS11.2.3 and Audition up to date 14.1.
My multitrack session suddenly stopped playing some of the track in the timeline. If I single them out they all play fine as they had in the past. But now all the tracks will not play together. All the files are on my internal drive. It seems a glitch... I started with shift key down to reset hoping that would do but nothing. Can some one help me? Thank you.
I get the message "Audition encountered a problem trying to perform the operation" when trying to save a multitrack project. My OS is Windows 10
I have Windows 10 voices that do not show in audition voice generator. Example: Australian English. How do I load them?
I have deleted both the computer version and my online account of dropbox, I have also deleted the synced folders and yet Audition does not allow me to save to anything but DropBox. Please help as this has made Audition basically unusable.
Hi all I have Audition CS6. I have put together some CDRs that I burnt containing 70s music. When I played them back I found there was volume inconsistencies from track to track. I realise a perfect volume level within different mixes ranging frm quiet ballads to loud rock isn't really possible but is there something that Audition that can help with my dilemma? Can I also add that if there is something that can help is it doesn't affect the original sound of the song. Thanks.
I am using a Behringer FCA1616 with Audition. For audio hardware, "FCA1616 USB ASIO x64" is selected. On multi-track, I can click the R for recording, but then when I click on the record button the transport does not move. The record button shows it is activated. I can move the transport manually. Thanks

I just upgraded from 3.0 to the current Adobe Audition. In 3.0, when you were opening or saving, you could see recent folders that you accessed by clicking on the drop down menu at the top. Now, it only shows the current folder you are in. Is there anything that can be done so that recent folders show up in the drop down?Thank You!
My Zoom H5 multi track function has stopped working in adobe audition. The input selections dont appear. When I set the ZOOM H5 to stereo, it works fine, but the multi track function doesnt work. I have uninstalled the asio drivers numerous times and update the zoom firmware, but no result.
I have lately been experiencing dropped samples when I do my voice recording. I get the Detected Dropped Samples message in the bottom right corner of my screen. I am by no means a computer genius or an expert at this particular app. All I know is that I need this problem to go away. Can someone help me, and explain how I can fix it?
