Where does Adobe offer a user manual for Audition CC? I did a search on the website and found nothing. I'm looking for a document – like the Reference Guide PDF that came with Audition CS6 – that lets me go directly to the topic I need.

In an effort to reduce clipping from overzealous vocals while recording vocal tracks, I've reduced the gain on my mic.  However, that means I cannot hear the vocals in my ears as the volume for the track I'm recording is much lower than the volume of the music backing track.  How can one increase the output volume of a single track while recording?  Using Mac OS if that makes a difference

This is my second time posting to the forum today so I hope I'm not overdoing it, but I just figured out my last problem only to run into another one that seems impossible to figure out. I'm trying to apply reverb using a VST2 plugin called BREVERB 2 to a bunch of files. It seems as though no matter how I approach it, the reverb will not apply to the file. I've tried:1. Inserting BREVERB 2 as an insert to the waveform and clicking "apply" on the Effects Rack.2. Going to "Effects > VST > BREVERB 2" and then applying it from there3. Putting the waveform into a Multitrack project, inserting BREVERB 2 onto the track, and then exporting that mulitrack session. Every single time the reverb loads and previews just fine, then when i try to export or apply the effect, the resulting waveform doesn't have the reverb on it. Any idea what's going on?

I have a bunch of sounds that I would like to apply a VST reverb to in batch which is totally possible, however the waveforms all cut off right at the end of the sound so there's no space for the reverb tail to trail off. I want to simply extend the duration of all of these waveforms so once I apply the reverb, it will have the appropriate amount of time it needs to hear the reverb tail without getting cut off and then i can add a simple fade to the waveform at the end to ensure any extra reverb is faded away completely. Bringing the sounds into multitrack is a whole extra step and will require me to add the reverb to all of the sounds and export them 1 by 1 instead of just dropping the reverb on all of them and exporting in batch. There's many other instances where this would have come in handy as well, but I simply can't figure out how to extend the duration. Also I've looked online and everyone says to drop it into multicam, but that would just take so much more time. Seems like a p

This is the second time this has happened. I'm working in Audition (on Windows 10), and all of a sudden this box appears asking me if I want to save changes to my clip before closing it. I never said I wanted to close it. But I play along and click on the "Cancel" button (screenshot attached). The box disappears for a split second and then immediately comes back. I can't make it go away. How can I fix this?

Hi all.I maybe looking for the impossible but I will share my problem with you. Before I start I shall add that I asked a similar question to this on here many months ago and somebody suggested I use Match Volume with 'ITU-R BS.1770-2 Loudness'. I tried this and the result was awful and I read this technique was for broadcast purposes? Anyway, this is my dilemma. I want to burn some rock/pop songs onto CDR and want the volumes to be the same throughout. I have used Nero which generally quite good using their 'normalise' feature. What I have found on numerous occasions is when using normalisation a quiet song (maybe with no drumming) the quieter sounds are boosted to sometimes distortion level. Is there a way around this even if every song has to be monitored individually? Many thanks in advance. Paul

I'm using a Soundcraft Notepad-12FX and have 4 Røde NTG2 microphones plugged in. I connect to my laptop through the USB connection from the mixer and I use Audition to record. However, I’m trying to isolate all 4 microphones in the recording (I create 4 separate tracks in the multitrack)- but it always ends up grouping 2 of the mics together. So, for instance, Mic 1 and Mic 2 will be isolated on Tracks 1 & 2 respectively, but Mics 3 & 4 will be together on tracks 3 & 4, even if I’ve selected just Input 3 or Input 4 on the respective track.I'm using a MacBook to record on and everything in the Audio MIDI Setup looks okay.The driver for the mixer is up to date, it’s the latest version of Audition, the mics are placed far enough apart.... I’m sure that I’m missing something obvious...

I have the cuurent version of Adobe Audition on Windows 10. Is there a way for Audtion to capture audio coming from the computer (someone talking on discord, a youtube video, etc)? An older version of AA used to be able to but i'm never been able to get it to work on my current computer.

Steve,Where can I find official instructions on how to remove Audition CS6 from one computer and install it on a new computer? I'm hoping the process is fairly painless. 🙂 Thanks.

Hello.I've recorded dozens of audiobooks with these settings, and this is a first.I create an audio file (in waveform mode), and start recording.All interface and mic settings are the same as always, yet the waveform is limiting at -6 dB.The sound will still clip audibly, if I raise my voice into the mic, but the meter doesn't show it clipping (it maxes out at -6 also), and as you can see in the attached screenshot, the waveform is limited at -6 dB. Any ideas about where to start troubleshooting this? Thanks,George 

All of the audio tracks on my audition programs are offline. I understand why any files I downloaded off the internet might be offline (I deleted the original download), but I don't understand why vocals I recorded myself are offline. 

HiI’ve been learning to use Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 and Adobe Audition 2020 over the last few months.I’ve created a ‘home movie’ of a family holiday in Premiere Pro, which goes for 1 hour and 40 minutes.  I’ve successfully exported it as an MP4 file which works perfectly.I’ve imported the MP4 into a multitrack in Audition and I’m putting audio tracks to match the video.Unfortunately, my MP4 video reference in the multitrack is cut to 45 minutes.Can someone please help me?  I need to lengthen the video reference to the actual length of my MP4 file (1:40:51)? Alan5F8C

I'm working on a podcast that is using alot of audio recorded as voice memos on smartphones.Not only is this audio often tinny and thin by design...sometimes it was recorded in large echoy rooms (please see attached sample).So far, I've has some sucess using the noise reduction effects to remove things like hum or buzz, but I still don't know what to do to help the audio sound "warmer," and not as thin. Can anyone recommend a way to add warmth and resonace to audio that was recorded on really crappy microphones?Many thanks!

I'm using a Behringer UMC404HD audio interface to route four mics for a podcast, through Voicemeeter Potato (to seperate the channels) then into Audition for recording and mixing. The inputs are finally working after some trial and error. The issue I'm having now is, I'm not able to hear an output from Audition for playback. Any suggestions?

I'm having a problem with my audio that is doing my head in and it's only started since I've been using a new computer.When recording audio into Audition using ASIO4ALL v2 so that I can use four microphone inputs, for about 1 in every 10 minutes the audio coming into Audition is distorted. Listening through my interface and there's no distortion at all.I've tried all the different buffer sizes and sample rates but don't know what else to try.And I can't find another drive that allows me to use more than two inputs to record at once, which I need.Please help!

Hi there,I'm using the latest version of Adobe Audition 2019. When I use Low Shelf Gain in the multitrack session and play it back in the multitrack it's fine but as soon as do a mixdown and playback the exported file, the Low Shelf Gain is gone. In the multitrack it's fine, but the mixdown file has no low shelf gain at that specific moment.What am I doing wrong ??? Thanks,Hugo

Hi there, I hope someone can help me!I just started using Audition, and I thought I was getting the hang of it. But after successfully doing a few multitrack sessions, I've started having bizarre problems and I can't find either the cause or the solution to them.First, it stopped letting me drag tracks into the multitrack. It doesn't even want to let me select tracks, either in the waveform display or the multitrack display. It will select one track that I can focus on, and then wild amounts of clicking on the other tracks will sometimes cause them to open, sometimes not.If, by some miracle, I get something selected and then added to the multitrack, the range bar at the beginning will continuously move to the left any time I am pausing to try to work on something. Since I'm usually pausing to do a cut, that means that my cut goes in the absolutely wrong direction. At the current moment, it doesn't want me to be able to select anything besides the multitrack that I'm working on currentl

Greetings all, I am starting the process of editing videos for my choir.  I am able to sync up video and audio to themselves within the same file.  However, when I try and sync with other video/audio, such as accompaniment, the two videos are out of sync.  My only recourse, it seems, is to stretch the audio using Audition.  Once that is done and I have sync'd accompaniment with the voice, I don't know what to do.  I export using Adobe Media Encoder but there is no video showing, just audio.  Either I am choosing a wrong setting or...well, I don't know what else it could be.  Help!

Hello, guys, I'm a new user trying to mix a song.I have a bunch of tracks L and R. For example: guitarL.wav and guitarR.wav. These tracks were recorded in stereo but they came to me split in two mono files. I'm trying to put them in only one stereo track and I can't. How do I do that?
