Hello,My audio sounds normal when I play it outside of Audition and in Audacity, but when I import any of my MP3s into Audition it sounds really muffled and distorted. I am brand new to Audition and sound editing, so I have no idea what is happening or how to fix the issue. I'm assuming it's a setting somewhere, but I don't know where to look. I can't fix anything if the audio doesn't sound correct in the first place. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hello, I've been having some trouble with my new all-in-one PC and Adobe Audition. Using a Rodecaster Pro along with Rode's Pod Mic. My main issue, which has never occured until now, is when I record it is extremely loud, which I'm assuming is the gain is turned up too much. However, the levels are normal on the mixer and if I play it on the mixer it sounds right, good levels... so it must be either my computer or Audition itself. How can I fix this?
Hi, I have been usinh Adobe audition to record multitrack directly from the mixer. But recently, I am seeing distortion in wav files while recording. I record 16 channels for about 4 hours, and all channels have this, making my work go in vain. Does anyone know how to fix it.
HelloIn this lecture talk I am wanting to improve the voice. So far I have normalized. Is this effect on the speech from Tex's microphone being to close to his mouth? Is there a simple method to adjust the vocal a bit?Thanks!https://youtu.be/5gYw6uS-v1k
My co-worker recently upgraded their Mac OSX version of Adobe Audition from CC 2017 10.0.2 to CC 2018 11.1.0. The install went fine and there were no issues until trying to open a flac file, and get this message:We thought it was a bad flac so we tried another, same result. Opened up CC 2017, and all the flacs loaded just fine. Aifs, wavs, and all other formats open no problem. Tried Google searching "General import failure", but there was nothing. This is what the Audition log kept saying:Ticks = 11461 <140735104978944> <AmioPlugin> <5> An unknown exception was caught (Code 4).Ticks = 11461 <140735104978944> <AmioPlugin> <5> Caught Amio Plug-In Exception when calling command: 5Ticks = 62844 <140735104978944> <AmioPlugin> <5> An unknown exception was caught (Code 4).Ticks = 62844 <140735104978944> <AmioPlug
Hi, I'm in the process of editing a podcast between myself and another editor. We've been making edits then uploading the session and all files to a cloud. In the latest session, it's saying that two audio files are missing, and when I go to link media to the original files, it's not in sync with the edit. I.e, the first clip on multi track is now playing the start of the original recording file, not the proper segment. I'm relatively new to Audition so would appreciate any help.
Hi I tried to close out one file and unexpectedly closed out everything. I closed the file and was wondering if there was anyway to recover the files that closed. Also when I do pull up one file the work i did for the last couple weeks doesn't show up please help.
how can i fix that when i record my voice i can't use any tool except the time selection tool i want to edut it and record moreand i want to cut some parts of it and if i did this i can't put another sound in its place wut should i do
I wonder if anyone can tell what options there are (if any) for getting timecode in and out of Audition CC?It seems that Audition 2.0 and 3.0 used to have SMPTE capabilty but that's long gone.Does auditon CC read any data from control surfaces regarding timecode position? And what about Audition's internal timecode data.. is it stored anywhere that might be accessible by an external program?Seems a strange omission in such an advanced piece of software
I have all new hardware and softward - a Windows 10 laptop PC with Adobe Audition CC - all deployed this year. When recording - admittedly with multiple windows open on Google Chrome and in Word - my recordings occasionally skip. More accurately, and when I have the Adobe window open but not on display, the recording inexplicably pauses for a split second. When I go back to listen, the sentence "Mary had a little lamb" may sound like "Mary h/tle lamb." There is a brief instance of an audio spike at, what shall we call it, the stutter. This happens maybe 20 percent of the time I record, particularly in long form for my podcast recording. I typically use a sample rate of 44.1k (I have been unable to change the 48k default setting) in mono at a bit depth of 16. I also clean my PC regularly with CCleaner and Revo Uninstaller. Any ideas on how to cure this?
Hello, I've had this issue for a few projects now.About half the time whenever I modify an audio clip using the razor tool or pan it, a odd "bumpy" noise occurs over the original audio. It almost sounds like a distant helicoper. Is this simply me being me and doing it incorrectly or is this a bug I need to work around? Thanks.
In Multitrack, I hit play and it plays fine for about 15 seconds then it randomly mutes several tracks. The trakcs themselves are not muted in the session, and when they stop playing, are still not shown as muted. They just stop playing randomly at 15 seconds in. It's a big session with alot of tracks. Any help is appreciated as I'm mixing a Christmas song. And need to finish mixing tonight. Thanks
Hello all,Does anyone know of a way to organize different kinds of files within the main file window in Audition? For instance, I can have a multi-track session open with upwardds of 100 individual files at a time. It would be really handy if there was some way to group all of the music files together in a folder, or separate list, so I could toggle between narration files and music files without having to do so much scrolling. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.Best,Adam
Hi there, I'm working in Audition, in multitrack, and I'm hoping to be able to highlight a clip, then drop it down to the next track as a unique file. Currently I can highlight the clip, hold down option, and drop the file down — but then if other changes are made to the file above, they can affect that clip too, because it didn't make a unique copy. Is there a quick way to do this, rather than highlighting, going into waveform view, choosing save selection, then putting that clip into multitrack?I swear I was able to do this with an older version... Any help would be hugely appreciated! It would make my job so much easier if I could just drop down unique clips in the multitrack view. Thank you! Jen
Hello,I prepare interviews on behalf of my company, the latter provided me with the Hind...g application but I just passed the budget to switch to Adobe Audition which seems to me much more professional to do all the work of postprod. Following the Covid crisis, I am forced to continue my work by doing my interviews via Discord. With my old Hind...g app in a few seconds I managed to assign Discord to one track (Other program) but in Audition I struggle to find the solution to have what I hear (Discord) on one track and my microphone on another track. Can you help me, please ? This is my configuration : W10 / Soundcard Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 USB / micro 55SH Shure Thanks for all
Hello. I figured I would share my ignorance in the hopes that it brings someone joy at being able to solve somethng easily. I am running Audition CC, current build. I have an M32r connectd via USB to my desktop. I have installed the ASIO driver (TEKNIK DN32). I can SEE that the inputs are working (levels are going all up and down and stuff) and I can RECORD and then playback by switching to MME. However, I cannot listen through ASIO. There is no option, as far as I can tell, for sending an output to headphones. Please help a beknighted soul.
good nightI would like help because we have an Allen & Heath QU-32 where we send via USB audio to the PC, we do the separate mix for live transmission. But to make the mix separated by channel, Audition only sends the audio to the table itself. We would like to send the audio to a card and then to the pc that does the transmissiongetting the way down.QU-32> audition> audio card> pc for transmission
When I drag or import the Audio file onto the Track, the initial part of the audio gets cut off, while the rest functions perfectly.Any reason why this is happening and how can it be corrected?
I'm wondering if there's a way to set Audition to record in voice-activated mode. Or if there's a way to do it in any other desktop app that the community knows about. When I'm working on a project, I'd like to talk about the process and record it, but sometimes there'd be long delays before I speak. The best way to avoid those long silences would be to use voice activation. Thanks for any help you can provide. BTW, I just discovered that we have to use one of the topic titles as keywords IN our post, in order to be able to choose a topic. If there are no words in your post that also occur in the topics list, you won't be able to post. Might have been nice of Adobe to point that out. It would save some frustration.
Do you have to use words in your topic title that occur in the topics list? No, you don't! All you have to do is select a topic at random...
I know I have next to no chance of fixing this, but I was editing the last episode of a podcast series, and the session crashed. When I tried to reopen it, all edits have disappeared. Like, even renaming tracks, everything. I tried opening backups, earlier versions ... every single one is now an empty multitrack session. Many hours of work gone. Couldn't be more puzzled ... or upset.
hello i want too extend my trial for audition please help
The livestream of my wedding went disasterously wrong! We ended up with two audio inputs into the stream, so it came out with the second audio track delayed by half a second, as the clip shows. Is there any way to fix this as its our main record of the day!
Hi Guys, I am new to audition. I have an audio file and i need to check some measurements of Loudness/Peak. The required level is, Integrated: -12.0 LUFSShort Term: -9.3 LUFSPeak: 0.0 dBTP Where to find this options in adobe audition. Regards,Vasanth
I've read dozens of posts of people having the same issues I have but I don't really understand how they fixed their issue. Everything was working just fine but any time I open up the file and try to do anything with it audition crashes. I reinstalled it, I updated my drivers. I just don't know what to do or how to fix this and it's frustrating that this happens the day I'm supposed to turn this project in and it's not even close to done. Help, please.
