Audition

On our backup production computer, we have Adobe Audition CS5.5, which I am not familar with . . . and the volunteer that use it is gone. So I have a question.  After I have edited 5 20 minute lectures, and I want to save them from an mp3 to a wav, I can't find a place to "save all as" or "batch" them.  Is there a function that would allow me to save them all as wavs, instead of having to save them one at a time? Hi. I'm very much an amateur user of Audition. When I edit a file I almost always delete the beginning and end and save the middle. More or less. I always find the spot where I want the file to begin. From there I use Ctrl Shift Home to delete the portion of the file at the beginning that I want to delete. When I find the spot where I want the file to end I use Ctrl Shift End to delete the portion of the file that comes after the part I want. Problem:New laptop does not have a home or end key. Home is on the left arrow and End is on the right arrow. To use these keys as Home and End you have to use the Alt key. But you can't select text using the Ctrl Shift Alt Arrow. Any ideas on a work around? Thanks.

Generally I like to boost my final sound outputs so they play at my right volume for middle volume settings on playbaqck devices.  Usually, I seem to need to hard limit (~-2 db). Then the volume is too low, even with the input boost.  If this was photography, I would just lift the shadows or middle tones.  I'm not finding the way to do that in sound.  The dynamics processor shows a curve, but that has NOT done the job.  I've messed with the other dynamics, to no success.  Anyone?  Is this a job for smart compression techniques?  Have not made that yet work ok either, but I am a rookie.  Working in EDM tracks.Thanks ! 

I'm using ripple delete to clean up a podcast conversation. Voice 1 - track one (Multiple clips)Voice 2 track two (multiple clips)Music - track 3Noise bed - track 4 How do I ripple delete tracks one and two but leave 3 and 4? Another approach would be to lock 3 and 4 for editing but I haven't found that either. If any of you advanced users can suggest some features or workflow tips that's be great.    

After sending a sequence from Premiere Pro 2019 (13.1.5) to Audition (12.1.5), I am able to save the multitrack session, but when I play it, I get no audio playback, and Audition crashes when I click the Multitrack menu, try to select Import/Export, or try to Solo a track. (Strangely enough, I can mute a track without crashing Audition even though I can't Solo a track.) I am on Windows 10 1909 using a Ryzen 7 3700X with 64 GB RAM. I have tried:Sending sequence from Premiere Pro (remove all effects, no video, no pan/volume information)Importing sequence from AuditionSaving Premiere project to a new locationSaving Audition interchange files to a new locationImporting the sequence into a new Premiere Pro project The result has been the same for all of these, leading me to believe there is something in this sequence that is corrupt or problematic. For some reason, Audition won't load wma files anymore. I even get the error "Dynamic Link Media Server has failed to start". Tried it withough Dynamic Link and it says it can't open with available importers. It used to.

I don't know if it's an existing function (I think not).Anyway let's suppose to use Audition to record Long recordings of 1, 2, 3 hours ...As it is currently configured, once REC is pressed, the audio starts recording ... if you accidentally press Backspace on the keyboard, the recording is lost.1. Can you add (if a function does not already exist) the possibility to record audio without interruption? so to stop the recording you must necessarily press the STOP button with the mouse?

In my current project, several pieces of audio have been stuck at 66% in saving, which started automatically after I recorded them. The time keeps counting up, and I can't save the whole project itself (it gets stuck at 0%, I assume because the other clips are still saving). Any help is appreciated, this is for a homework assignment and I hope I can get an extension on the deadline!

Hello, I recently upgraded my version of Audition to the newest version and uninstalled a previous version. However, once I did that, it asks me to keep my old settings. I said no, and it uninstalled. But then... 5 minutes later (and weirdly sometimes when I opened completely unrelated programs), CC pops up on my screen, overtaking whatever I am working on, and asks AGAIN if I want to keep my old settings... for the older version I just uninstalled. So... I did the same thing... and then it begun Uninstalling... again! I'm confused. So I checked my file locations and back end installers, and everything was uninstalled.So I ignored it... and it happened again. This time I decided to KEEP my old settings... SAME. THING. Anybody have any idea what is going on? I am in a time loop of uninstalls... I need an adult...

I'm on a scarlett 18i8 and they all appear in mixcontrol and work fine, but in audition I only see two of them.

Is there any program in the Adobe suite that will allow me to do this. I am using charater animator and want to record youTube speech for a characature. If I cannot achieve this with Adobe software does anyone know any legit software that will allow me to do this?Many thanks in advance.

I recently switched to a UA Apollo x8 interface. When I record, I get clicks and pops. I've been working with UA support and they have been unable to remedy the problem.Note:-These clicks and pops are on the recording only. Playback is fine.-The higher the sample rate of the recording, the more noise.-In Audio Hardware Settings, device class is MNE and I'm unable to switch to ASIO.

I've never had a problem with adding VST plugins to Audition before, but have struck difficulty with Izotope's Ozone Imager V2.  It's not showing up, and I've learned that this plugin is only available in VST as a 64bit version. Does Audition CS6 support 64bit VST plugins as far as we are aware of?  It's been difficult to google-fu the info on this. Andrew

I am using Adobe Audition CC on my MAC.   I am editing podcasts.  I adjusted my settings effects for each track and saved my changes as new presets or updated my personal presets.   But when I reopen the individual project, only CUSTOM appears as the preset. My personal preset is listed on the drop down list. My effects are listed, but even the effects have lost my changes.  Again I save all my changes.  So what is happening and why won't my changes stay?

I have multitrack session. In one track for few seconds it become muted. I tried deleting this section and re-record , it is still muted. I cannot do anything with it.

Hi I have an Mp3 of an audio book and I want to add 1 second to every paragraph pause.  I want to do it globally - so select silence duraction parametres and then add 1 second to all of them at once.  Can I do this in audition and if so how?

I'm ingesting a tape recorded with DBX noise reduction, which is (reportedly) a 2:1 compression.  I'm trying to expand it in Audition with little success. Does anyone have any "cook book" settings to use to expand DBX in Audition, short of running the signal through a DBX box during capture? 

I wonder if anyone can tell me the best processor for batch file processing - things like applying effect plugins, mtch volume, analysing statistics, etc? Currently i have a 2.5 ghz dual core i5 (not sure what generation but it's in a Lenovo x220). I'd love to be able to process files a bit quicker and was wondering if a quad core 2.6 ghz i7 would be significantly faster, or am I better off finding a higher clock speed regardless of the number of cores? Thanks.

hello everyone,i have a question about exporting audio from audition. i am kind of new to this, so i hope i can explain proberly what i mean:)i have a file that consists of 2 tracks. on one track, one can hear people talking, on the second track one hears noise. both should be played at the same time but channel one only on left side of the speaker, the other channel only on the right side.  i want to use this file for an installation, where a visitor sits between the two speakers and hears both channels at the same time. any export that i am doing, i end up with a file that sends the output to both channels. what can i do about this? can anyone help me out? thank you so much in advance, tanja
