Hi everyone,I just wanted to open the audition project I was working on lately but couldn't seem to find the file, I only had all these .pkf files suddenly. When I open audition and see the project I'm looking for in "recently opened" and click it, it says it could not be found... I think i'ts maybe got something to do with my adobe account that "expired" some time ago, but Ifixed it. I really have no idea where all my files are now
I have been running Audition CC 2020 successfully on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.15.6) but now the latest version (13.0.08) just won’t launch. I click on the app and it gives the impression that it’s about to launch (i.e. the branded logo start up box appears) but then nothing – whether I’m trying to open an existing project or trying to start a new one. I’ve uninstalled the app and re-installed v13.0.7 but the same issue persists. I’m not a tech whiz and not sure whether it’s got something to do with any updates within the Creative Cloud suite or any recent Apple updates on my Mac. Would really appreciate any advice on how to resolve. Thanks
I just bought a new laptop and installed Creative Cloud and Audition. I had hoped that when I opened Audition for the first time it would prompt me to import all my stuff (preferences, racks, favorites, custom workspaces, etc.) like it did when I recently added the beta version of Audition on my main computer - but it didn't. I looked through Adobe help to try to find out how to migrate all this stuff but came up empty, so I'm turning to the forum for help: is there an easy way to get all my stuff from my main copy of Audition over to the secondary copy on my new device? Thanks,Brian
The computer is brand new - mac book pro 2020 - operating system Catalina. Processor: 2.6 GHZ - 6 CORE intel Core i7. I'm running the most updated version of Audition. I have also tried disconnecting from the internet and doing a pre-render with the lighting bolt on effects. Any? - I'm loosing my mind. Thanks!

I need to record both mic and desktop audio. I don't have a mixer, there are other DAW's that can do this but i don't want to change my os. Is there a way to do this in audition? If there is would you guide me or link me to a walk through.
Hello there, I have a preexisting audio file that may contain loops. I'd like to know for certain. How can I detect repeating audio across a file? Can I "split" the file at the x-axis to look at the channels separately? (The answer to the question in the picture is most likely "no," since it's just an example. I'd just like to know if Audition can help me finding out in any way, and if so, what I have to do for that.)
Help!! i am trying to make multitrack music, and nothing lines up... I lay down backing tracks, with a metronome...but even those (metronome and track) don't line up on playback...this latency thing is killing me and no one at adobe help has good advice. Is the only option to record and then move the track? microtimings are so specific in a solo... and it am laying down 10-12 tracks... so timing is essential. Is maybe audition not useful for this? I am used to being able to hear the existing tracks and then play in time with them...what am i amissing???. I am using a a roland duo capture for my mics
Hi there! So I have literally watched every YouTube video and Googled this question and cannot find an answer anywhere and I'm SO desperate for help!! Basically, I record covers on YouTube and have been recording instrumentals and vocals at the same time on on the same recording on Adobe audition, but I wanted to try doing some with karaoke tracks and put my own audio on top of that. The problem im having is being able to record my vocals while listening to the backing track through my interface/headphones. I am set up with a mic, and headphones which connect to my interface and the interface connects to my laptop. I can't figure out what my inputs and outputs should be set at because I've tried every way and I can't get it to record while I'm listening to the backing track. And now I can't even get the sound to go through my headphones connected to my interface, it only plays through my computer, which obviously means I can't record because there will be too much background noise
I'm using Audition's multitrack podcast template to produce a podcast. I would like to use two pairs of headphones for the interview, but there is only one headphone port on my MacBook Pro. I bought a splitter hoping that would solve the problem, but I cannot hear out of either headphone with it. I've tried plugging the headphones directly into the mics that are plugged into my computer jacks, but that only allows me to hear out of one mic. Is there a way I can make the splitter work and hear out of both headphones for the podcast conversation? Are there other alternatives? The headphones are not bluetooth, they both have cords. I tried to create an aggregate multi-output device setting, but it's only picking up one external headphone and won't play either way. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!
Frustrated. Adobe forced an upgrade of Audition, and it has come with crippling frustrations (shocker). All I'm trying to do is record/create a simple single-track audio file (not a multitrack session) from a USB recording device. The device continues to function just fine and be recognizable by other applications on my computer, but with this forced Audition update, recording audio with Audition now suddenly doesn't work (there's no audio signal, regardless of hardware settings). Details: Platform: Mac (10.15.6)Audition Version: 13.0.7 and 13.0.8 have been tried so farUSB device: Behringer UCA202 (a USB audio in/out box that doesn't require drivers)Preferences > Hardware > Device Class: Only "CoreAudio" exists.Preferences > Hardware > Default Input: "USB Audio CODEC" selectedPreferences > Hardware > Default Output: "USB Audio CODEC" selectedPreferences > Hardware > Master Clock: I've tried both "In USB Audio CODEC" and "Out USB Audio Codec"Prefer
How do you digitize cassette tapes using Windows 10 and Audition 2020? I haven't been able to find any help in Adobe Audition help or anywhere else. I just need a detailed, step by step instruction for this.
Each time I save files in the Multitrack the files return Offline. The strange thing is I can see the files clearly in the Audition program. The particular files I'm working with come from an external hard drive, but I transferred them to my local drive before starting the project. Also, I noticed that I've only been having this issue after the recent update. Could that be the culprit? Really need help because this is affecting the speed I can get projects done. [Mod note - put into a thread of its own to prevent version confusion]
Hi all. I run a podcast and have been using Audition for 2 years editing this podcast but something happened this week (and listeners have said it's been happening for a while, I just never noticed it until now) where in the mixdown process I'm having portions of the audio silenced for some reason, no idea why. As you can see I have a few filters on the left hand side, and those 5 filters are the only ones in use. If I do a time selection with only that 5s range of where the issue is, it mixdowns just fine without the gap, but if I mixdown the entire podcast there are these gaps in this track. Very strange. Here's the example of what I'm talking about. Any help is greatl apprectiated:https://youtu.be/q-pt03_Yno0 Edit: PC Specs, more than enough to work with Audition.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to shorten the intro of a song specifically in audition remix. I have a song I want to use for video, but the intro of the song before the vocals come in is way too long, is there a way to target certain areas of the song to be cut. Or does audition not give you the option to cut certain parts of the song?
Hello! I've been using Audition to clean up vinyl recordings and it is wonderful. It does a perfect job of fixing pops without making an impact on the sound. I zoom in very far with mouse scroll button with right hand, and use the Auto Heal on a shortcut key with left hand. Sometimes the pop I need to fix is only on one channel, so I need to select only L or only R, before I do the auto heal: This requires me to take my right hand off the mouse, and use the up/down arrow to highlight only L or only R, once before and once after the auto-heal (to get back to stereo). It sounds minor but I fix a million of these in one file, and on my laptop the up/down arrow keys are skinny little buttons I have to stop and look at to find them. There used to be a way in the old Cool Edit application, where using the mouse only, it would highlight only one channel, L or R, depending on how far deep into the one side you were dragging the
I'm just trying to do some simple vocal recording over a music track in Audition 5.5, and as soon as I arm a record track, none of the other tracks playback (I can't hear their audio). As soon as I unarm the record, they will play again. I'm using a Zoom H6 as the input and output via ASIO, but I've tried another audio device and its doing the same thing. All the inputs and outputs on the tracks are set correctly. I know Audition can do this very basic function - what am I doing wrong?
Is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut to "Mix Paste" + "Overwrite" in the dialog? I would prefer not to have to press "Enter" to confirm that I want to Overwrite. I couldn't find a way in the Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts...maybe there's a solution in the operating system?
The singer is out of tune respective to the instruments and everything is already mixed on the same track. No solution, yet? Separating just the vocal frequencies? Any links, sugestions, welcome, please. Thank U.

I am working with Audition 2020. New to me. I am a novice. How can I play the audio in waveform, stop at the beginnng of the section that I want to start to select, then go to the end portion, get the counter time and enter the start and end time in the time ranges window at the bottom right of audition Thanks Harry

I thought I had read that the Tascam 60D Mk II can be used as an interface for recording into Audition, but I cannot find information on how to proceed. It has two 3.5mm Line Out jacks. Could I get clean audio using a 3.5mm audio to USB connection such as this?https://www.amazon.com/RitZ-MarT-3-5mm-Audio-Charge-Adapter/dp/B0787XDXFV Thanks for your time!
Hey all, So something really weird is happening when I am using audition. Basically every time I press a key to do something, press play or whatever a piano note plays? Does anyone know what is going on here? Many thanks Arthur
