Is it possible to put an effect like reverb on an input and hear it in realtime like in ProTools?

Is it possible to downgrade effects presets (or sessions) created in a recent version of Audition for use in Audition 3.0?Thanks,JG

I have a problem with an audio file of a speaking presentation which is very distorted, I can't recorder again. I would like to know if possible to eliminate/reduce the distortion ThanksAndrea

I use Audition to produce radio shows.  I have created a session for each show that I do, and have given them a name (name of the show plus a new number each week to reflect the show number).  Each week, I take the previous show's session, open it up, remove the previous segments, and then replace them with the new segments.  The show open, bumps, commercials, etc never change, so it's just the segments that change every week.  Once the final mixdown is created, I save the entire session with a new number, to correspond with the new show number (SHOWNAME SHOW 1, gets renamed to SHOWNAME SHOW 2 next week, and so on).  This process creates a folder titled "IMPORTED FILES" each week.  Inside of the that folder are all of the elements.  These elements are also individually in the multi track session where they should be.  So, this "Imported Files" folder is just making unnecessary copies of files, and taking up space.  Is there a way to make Aud

After updating to V13.0.2.35, I've lost the ability to Show Envelopes for third-party effects.  I can normally select any single attribute from Izotope Nectar 2 (like reverb-wet mix) and show that envelope to keyframe it.  The option to select anything from Izotope Nectar 2 is no longer available. I tried adding the native "Studio Reverb" effect; and that is available in the Show Envelopes menu. So this new bug seems to appear on 3rd party effects. 

 Does anyone know if it is possible to do a nonlinear speed adjustment in audition? The issue is that I have an old analog recording that is at the wrong speed, but it is a different wrong speed at the beginning then it is at the end, and the recording is about 15 minutes long. It is a very gradual change from beginning to end. I never thought that a 60Hz hum would be useful, but when you plot the spectrogram of the entire recording, you can see that a narrow-band of energy near 60Hz (correspoinding to the hum) linearly changes from beginning to end, so this means that while the recording is accelerating, it is a constant acceleration. Therefore, it should be possible to place two key points, one at the beginning, and one at the end, saying how much speed adjustment should be done and then the speed adjustment should linearly change going from start to end. with a music library, I like to populate both my wav and mp3 files with meta data.Audition file info has the following first few meta titles:Display TitleOriginal Artist (for standard RIFF) or  Song TitleArtist (for MP3 ID3 tag) These seem pretty self explanatory, But Windows 10 seems to have its own idea of  field namesI can figure out that Windows' "contributing artist" equates to the "original artist" or "artist" in Audition, but I can't figure out what Windows 10 column heading matches up to "title" or "song title"There should be a one-for-one correspondence, and I just can't find title or songtitle to display it with Windows Explorer (or whatever it is called in Windows 10) Can someone help me? 

(Summary:  The problem in my case turned out to be a simple dependency on user account folder locations.  The path to the Documents folder changed, and Audition freaked out.  Why Windows saw fit to blame it on MSVCR120.dll, I'm not sure.  For the full story, read the whole post.)I'm posting this here, in case anyone else encounters this same issue.  I'm also hoping this information makes its way to the appropriate people in tech support, so that they can better understand how to deal with the problem.  If my experience is any indication, TSR's are painfully under-informed on this problem.  As soon as the one I spoke with saw in the Event Viewer that MSVCR120.dll was involved, he told me the only solution would be complete, clean reinstall of my OS.  My exact reply was "WHAT???!!!"  There was no way I was about to do anything that drastic, just because one single dll file was throwing a tantrum. I'm sure there's something obvious I'm doing wrong, but I lose the HUD when switching from waveform to multitrack. I'm certain that "Show HUD" is selected in the View menu, and I've tried toggling it on and off to see if I can find where it might be hiding--with no luck. Thanks for any help you can offer. --Paul

What's a good way to add realistic texture to an otherwise smooth voice?

Hi, I have a podcast and have been using audition for months, only recently a glitch started in the audio throughout the recording. I've searched for help to no avail for this - but its a small problem that causes big headache. When using audition, if I click import or open, the search bar within windows explorer is completely inactive. If I type in a file or folder name to search, the window has no reaction. Does anyone have fix for this small but mighty problem?Using windows 10, latest audition CC if that's pertinent!Thanks in advance, community.-Jake

Yeah i am using old version so my pre-amp crashed which lead to the Adobe audition crashing.When i restarted the PC , all tracks on multi-track are empty even though the track numbers are there.Also the files are also there on .wav outside folder , however they are not on the multi-track.There were 3 options , Contuine later , which shows empty sessionContiune now , which recovers 10% of the session .and cancle .Now all options are gone and am left with empty session and track numbers (100 track and 5 buses with filters) Need your help , i've spent 10 hours on this 😞 

Hey folks! I can't for the life of me figure this one out. I recently switched my preamp and interface to the DBX286S and the Focusrite Solo 3rd Gen. Everything works fine in the free software Audacity, but I get no recording levels whatsoever in Audition. I have attached some photos to show you what my hardware settings are like. Ive been using audition since it was Cool Edit, and I'm stumped. It looks like it's all set up correctly.    Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! Dave.

I am using a Windows 10 PC with an external headphone with microphone to make outgoing Google Voice calls (which is perfectly legal in my state of residence). Outgoing Google Voice calls can not be recorded by the Google Voice software/app. How can I record both sides of a conversation when I am making outgoing phone calls with Google Voice from a  desktop PC using Adobe Audition?Thanks for your help and pointers!

Hey all, I have an out of the box iMac Pro, running Mojave 10.14.5, Auditon 13.0.1.35. This is a reoccuring multitrack that i know works....the Yeti is assigned as the input in Audio Hardware and as the input on the track i'm recording to. It recognized the device- but when i arm for record I get no level whatsoever from. Bounced the mic back to the same session on my macbook pro with the same exact settings and it works. Furthermore, also did a troubleshoot and looked up the Yeti in Sysytem prefs/Sound and got a level from it. Anybody come across this?....very frustrating.

Hi,I think I found a bug in 13.0.2.In multitrack session, when I change the sample rate from 44 to 48, it successfully changes it in my audio interface's panel (Focusrite Control) and it also displays properly in Audio Hardware Preferences inside Audition. Perfect.  However, when you look at the project view (bottom right), you will see that the display does NOT update to show the new 48 sample rate. I even tried quitting and reloading the template I created. Same issue. 

I can't believe this has been such a difficult answer to find. I'm recording audio for an audiobook, but while reviewing my work, I realize that I accidentally forgot to include all of five words from a sentence. I just need to move everything down and re-record the audio, but the only way to do that (that I know of) is to take it into multitrack by creating a new file, separate the tracks, and insert ANOTHER new recorded file inbetween them. That can't possibly be the most efficent method in Adobe Audition. Any ideas?

The guest's audio track has really loud and unpleasant breathing in sounds, so I want to decrease the volume but not remove them completely, as my concern is that removing breaths completely, it would make the guest sound like a robot. Here's a short sample: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9rltnu8d6w9ken7/Podcast%203.mp3?dl=0 It's 90 minutes long recording, so I would prefer not doing this manually but rather using an effect that can do this for me for the whole recording (even if it's not perfect). I can't find a solution on YouTube so hopefully, there is someone that can point me in the right direction here.
