Audition

Hi, I'm in the process of moving from Windows 7 to a more powerful system running Windows 10. Now I encountered a weird problem with Audition CS6's spectral frequency display. The problem is that the display runs extremely jittery/choppy (in centered position which I always use). Never had this problem on the slower Windows 7 system. Does anybody have any idea what to do about it? Thank you so much!

In addition to the Parametric Equaliser not working correctly, there's a serious problem with the Graphic Equaliser (I'm using the 20 band version). If I turn up the 500Hz control, it actually increases the frequencies at around 5,000Hz.If I turn up the 250Hz control, it actually increases the frequencies at around 2,500Hz.Turning up bands from 710Hz and above do nothing but crash the program. Sorry guys, but the current version of this software is not usable in a professional environment.I'm using Audition version 13.0.1.35. Greetings all,  I recently updated my Adobe Audition software, and now when I go to adjust the Parametric EQ bands, they will not move or adjust the sound. Can anyone help me? I cannot for the life of me figure out what has happened. Thank you! - JB

Hi,Does Audition have a function where I can look up a sample on my computer and listen to the sample/loop prior to importing the file into my mix session?  I can't seem to be able to figure out if it does have this functionality.    I've used other software platforms that did have this functionality and it was very useful.   Thanks, Ian

Hey friends, I've had an ongoing problem where: 1. I make a selection and 2. Apply the 'silence' effect or, reduce aplitude through the HUD or the aplitude effect tool itself. The result is always the same: Only the very center of the selection is adequately attenuated leaving the beginning and the end of the waveform within the selection at levels that are well above the applied level. My only solution has been to keep re-selecting the waveform remnants and repeating the process. I'm removing breaths and ums from long dialauge recordings and the problem is driving me nuts! Below are before and after pictures illustrating the problem: 

I wanted to remove all the frequencies of the music except bass, so that only with the beats of the music. Could someone help me?

I have several audio recordings that I need to homogenized. In every recording there is a person saying something. Before the person starts talking and after the person is done talking there is a silence that lasts variably for 3 to 8 seconds. I need that to be 2 seconds before and two seconds after. Is there any way to create a preset feature that would help me with this? I mean without having to do it manually. I'm new to Audition, I will appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

I have song where I want to edit some vocal parts that people could not understand what words were said or sang. But without changing music. How can I do this? I tried to find tutorials and nothing. 

Hello, I want to start thanking this incredible community. I've been reading some posts, and it's incredible how helpful everybody is. If you need more information about the specifications, please don't hesitate to ask me. Challenge: I created an aggregate device on my MacOS with three microphones. Audition recognize the mics and record without issues on the multitrack interface. However, when I playback the audio, it seems that the recording is muted and unmuted throughout the entire play. I tested the mics individually. This playback problem occurs with all the microphones. It's strange because I can see the audio wave alterations where the play is "muted." So basically I've recorded a bunch of audio for a film but, now that it's on my computer, it's so quiet that I literally can't hear it unless I adjust the audio gain to something crazy like +60. Of course when I do that there's a huge amount of static and even then I can only hear the slightest bit of actual sound. Is there any way to fix is or are my audio files worthless?

Hi,  My issues is that when I'm in Adobe Premiere I will highlight an audio clip, right click on it, and select "Edit Clip in Adobe Audition." In the past, Audition has opened and the clip will be available to edit. However, now Audition opens but the clip doesn't transfer over.  Any ideas on what could be wrong or how to get the clip to transfer over using this method? Some additional information if it helps:I am using a MacBook Pro 10.15.1 (all up to date)2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i716 GB 1600 MHz DDR3AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB Graphics I have installed Premiere and Audition 2020 (and un-installed and re-installed both versions). I've restarted my computer multiple times. I've renamed the dynamic link folders "Dynamiclinkmanager.old" and "Dynamiclinkmediaserver.old"I've cleared all my cache. I've uninstalled all the older versions of Premiere and Audition.  Thank you! 

Hi all! I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me somewhat fix the issue I have encountered. I'm supposed to stream a video online this Friday with the effected audio and am HOPING I can find a solution to clean it up somewhat. Any and all ideas welcome. Background: Three times a year I record over 8 hours of the final round of a photography competition. It's a panel setup with three judges on camera with lav mic headsets.  I use OBS to record each segment and then playback the video files online at a later date as part of a streaming event.  After recording, I clean up the audio in Adobe Audition while using presets from Music Radio Creative. Current issue:  On day two of recording I foolishly didn't re-check that everything was recording fine and for the first 1.5 hours the audio recorded (after passing through OBS) is in very rough shape.  I have a VST 2 plugin (TDR Kotelnikov https://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-kotelnikov/) that was on and I susp

I am struggling editing a 60min film for my university, it is my first time using audition, I did dynamic link from premiere where I did the final cut, now I have done some work into audition using the waveform track (the individual) now after a day i listened to the whole scene only to realise I messed all up, so the question is:How can I re edit the original files I messed up? Or are the changes I made now burned on each file? Is it an offline editor? Do I need to re import each file again?

Hi! I have mastering scheduled for next week so this is pretty urgent to be honest.I have one session in particular where the "frozen" tracks either don't play at all or start playing a few seconds then stop. I found yesterday that it really doesn't matter either how many are frozen. Frozen tracks are saving to the same main directory as the session. See below for more detailed specs.This is occurring in both CC 2018 11.1.1 and CC 2019 (I just got the trial to see if it stopped).This is also occurring simultaneously with another problem, which is that there is a 5-10 second lag after I click twice in the multi-track. This results in a "Program not responding" for a moment. So in short, Audition is lagging to the point where it is unusable, but ironically, I cannot make it run faster by freezing tracks because they won't play. I'm getting ready to submit my first audiobook to ACX. (It's a book about XC skiing in today's era of low snow, climate change and skewed cultural values, such as people who live in the north hating cold weather or playing in the snow being labeled as a luxury activity. I prepped my files by wandering around online and then going for it. I'm a total layman and I understand basically no technical jargon.  I processed my files to meet the ACX requirements but the resulting waveforms had a strange look to them: they were solid black looking, blocky, and often solid in appearance along the top. ...And had more of a jaggy look along the bottom. I don't understand why a waveform is assymetric.  So I went back to the drawing board when Steve told me about the mastering how-to info on the ACX blog. Hello! To explain my question, id like to explain my workflow and what is happening...I work a lot with "Batch Process" feature to apply an effect in a group of clips. To find this group of clips, I select them in timeline, right-click, "Reveal Clips in Files Panel", drag them to Batch Process window and done. The thing is, when im working fast, sometimes it happens that I click accidentaly on "Link Media" option which is right bellow the "Reveal Clips in Files Panel", and when I click to Cancel (because I dont wanna link any media), all the selected clips changes the source media to the first one of the selected clips. And if I try to link the media, all the clips changes the source media to the one selected. So, my question is, there is a way to the "Link Media" feature, when the operation is cancelled, to keep the clips as they are without changing the source media of them? Is it a bug of Audition? Thank you!!

Hi, when I record, and then playback I can hear it properly through the right headphone but not the left. This is also confirmed when I look at the levels, considering the levels on the left channel are very low. thaaaanks 

It is very easy to bag Adobe for their support - I have seen it many times on this forum.However, I am just going to say that I have had an ongoing issue for some weeks which essentially put me out of business for a week or two but Adobe has gone out of their way to sort out a solution.They have organised numerous phone hookups and PC interaction sessions and even a private build to isolate the cause and possible solution.I just now I received an email from Rohit Kumar and his team "As communicated earlier, we had also opened a case on Microsoft to investigate this particular issue. I have a hunch there's some way to automate the process of selecting the first or last x seconds (say, 40 seconds) of an audio file in Audition 13 (Mac). I've tried a few things & haven't yet hit upon the magic wand.  Usually my projects have 15 to 45 files. I want to quickly zoom in on the start of each file. The files do not arrive with a marker at the zero mark. Any suggestions? The one way I tried to set up a Favorite didn't work. Hmmm. I could try setting up a Favorite macro to set markers for 00:00 and 00.00.40 and select the span of time. And then another favorite to delete the extraneous markers afterward. I do not know if the Favorite recorder will perceive those actions to be recordable, of course, till I try. And that would not help zoom in at the end of the files, which are of variable length, though I could try using the end of file navigation button. (Thinking aloud. Constrained from testing alternatives at rhe moment.) Better ideas? I've
