I cannot figure out how to use this panel. No matter what I do it says "no selection" even though I have a recording open.
Trying out editing a podcast in audtion instead of Ableton live and its not going great. Litterally everytime I do anything in audtion my audio hardware settings are changed. Launch the program - settings are changed. Add an audio file - settings are changed. Try and export - settings are changed. Hit play - settings are changed. The list goes on but it ultimately causes the audio to not play, or if it does play, its just loud static noise. ** When I say audio hardware settings, I am refering to audio driver, bit depth and sample rate. They are constantly reverting/ changing to settings that don't work!! This does not happen in Audacity or Ableton or any other audio software. So whats the deal? Is Audtion always this wacky?
I need information for below questions please. Sir, In my home location seldomely there is vehicle announcement for advertisement. I assume there is facility for preparing the same. Would like to know the following : - Can I use adobe audition to record voice for annoucement ? - Is there voice from itself and can I change voice for that itself ? e.g. : heavy voice, and thin voice etc.... - What are the facilities in adobe audition to do this. - Can I include music in that in between some sentences ?Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to create a basic surround mix of a film we just finished editing. I don't have surround speakers to test (I'm using a 2.1 setup), but I have access to the movie theater we are playing the film at this weekend to run as many tests as I need. Just finished watching Jason Levine's great 5.1 tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcYqm42QTbo&t=3032s BUT... There's no longer the Dolby options. 1) What do I do now since I can't export to Bluray or H264 files using Dolby? How can I create a simple surround mix for the theater? 2) When exporting the sequence into Audition it had a few errors: a) Bezier Keyframes were converted to linear (okay, I can deal with that I guess)b) Some audio clips have gain values beyond 15.00 dB. They have been lowered to the maximum gain value of 15.00 dB. (this one really stinks)c) 3 of the 8 effects referenced by the file could not be found: Highpass, Lowpass, Bandpass. T
Setup: 2 wave-files of 2 Mics, the Mics were mounted on table and 2 Persons had a discussion about a topic, they were sitting next to each other on the table and talking into their mic. I created a Multitrack-Session in Adobe Audition and Synced the 2 wave-files whitin it (head slate/clap). They are synced perfectly but now if I listen to the discussion we have a slight but very noticably echo / reverb because the sound of Person 1 recorded in Mic 1 gets into Mic 2 some milliseconds later and quieter and vice versa. This creates a echo / reverb in the Master Out of Multitrack Session for both Persons. My question now is: How to "automatically" mute an audiotrack in multitracksession, when I have a specific decibel level where below it, the track should be muted and above it the track should be active (not muted)? That could fix the problem. Or does anybody else have a great idea how i can fix this problem? Thank you very much for you help, I'm pumped for your repli
can anyone tell me how it is possible when i record a miditrack in adobe 3.0.1 within a session of 170 bpm that on another daw like cubase that same midifile is much slowe
Hello This recording has so much of noise. Is it possible to clean it so that the speech is understandable?
I was 16 chapters into my audiobook when my Rode 3 NT-USB mic got splashed with some water. I used a blow dryer on it just in case, but when went to record the volume of my voice was so loud it was distorting the recording. It was also picking up way more ambient room noise than normal. I was able to finish the book using the "loudness" settings for ACX, but I really wasn't happy with how the last chapters sounded. I decided to order a new mic thinking mine was damaged, however, I just hooked it all up and it does the exact same thing. Ruling out the mic as the cause, I now have to think there is a setting that I accidentally changed on Adobe Audition CC 2018. Normally I get a -12 to -6 db level with my voice and now I am getting the redline pegged out past 0 db with just a normal conversational voice level. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated! Cheers, Tim
I'm editing a sound file. As I work along I sometimes would like to add a "sticky note" or annotation to a location in the recording to remind me of a chore I need to do there. (Such as "re-record!") I'd like to be able to add color-coded notes -- even notes that are big and flashy. But this doesn't seem to be possible. The closest thing I can find is the MARKER function. I'm not sure what markers do but I see that I can use a marker to flag or tag a location in my sound file. Then I can change the name of the marker to something to get my attention or remind me of the chore. But this seems very limited. So I thought there might be some other full-featured tool I can use to add notes to my sound file projects. (I notice the recent question that seems somewhat close to mine, and the answer was to use markers, etc.)
I edit lengthy audio vo for a radio personality and break the tracking file down to bits etc with markers. Is there a way to ANNOTATE the markers, so when I return to the file and check the markers I can see which bit it is?Thanks -- Mike
Sometimes when I go to save an audio file, I get an error that says it can't save because another program is using that file. However, I have nothing else open on my computer and can't figure out how that file is being used elsewhere. Typically this happens when not using multitrack.
Hi everyone,I need your help for an OMF export. After recording ansd editing a podcast's episode in Audition, i have to send an OMF files to the sound engineer cause he works w/ ProTools. Unfortunately I can't export in OMF. My computer crashed several times and I don't understand why. I've just noticed that one file is more than 1k Mo and the other less than 500Mo. I don't undestand why the size is so different between the files cause they both are 19mn long. I've cleaned the cache but nothing change. I can export in OMF the file less than 500 Mo. Can you help me to change the size of the 1k Mo file please ? I attached 2 screenshots 😉 Best,Aurélie
Hey there, I have a Tascam recorder that created two mono files. I would like to combine these into a single file with one occupying the left channel and one occupying the right channel. I tried creating a new audio file and copying/pasting one of the files. But when I do that, it places the sound in both the left and right channels, so I don't know how I would get the other one to be included. Thanks so much. Alan
I'm fairly new to Audition and really only know how to use the "Edit clip in Audition" function from Premiere. I'm trying to edit a whole sequence together but when it opens in Audition it's not what I expect. There doesn't seem to be any audio. My sequence in PP is over an hour long but in Audition the .wav file is only 1 second long. There's a video file that's the correct length but there doesn't seem to be any audio in it. There's a third file as well but I don't know what it is and for some reason it's length is a little less than half the total length of the sequence. I've watched a number of tutorials on it but they all go straight from "Edit in Adobe Audition > sequence" to being able to add items to tracks and whatnot. I don't know why mine's different. There is (hopefully) a screenshot attached. Having a hard time getting screenshots into this post. Keeps rejecting my post when I submit saying there's invalid HTML in it... 😞
Hey Guys,Hoping to get some advice here. I've been using Audition for a long time, and I've never run into this problem before. I'll record vocals for a track, and when i go to playback they appear to be .100-.200 milliseconds off from the original record time. So the vocals are always off beat and I have to go into the track setting and adjust the start time to get everything back on beat. This is something new that started happening recently. I'm using a Focusrite Scarlette Solo 2nd Gen as my audio interface.
With some pc's and on Windows 10, when I play a file on audition old versions, the playing stops when I go with the mouse out of the audition window (e.g. for working on other pc applications). This doesn't happen within Windows7. Is there a menu choice for avoiding that problem?
Hi all,I am a musician that has over the past years began recording my band. all is great with Audition. Until I decided to try Autotune.. I got version 8 and tuned my track.all sounds good. UNTIL I unmute and listen to everything. Then the tracks is back to UN-TUNED. I solo track and it is TUNED. I try'd to bound track out muted so I get the tuned portion and it doesn't work.I have worked for months non stop trying to get Graphical Mode to work....the Auto Mode works fine...but, is a blunt tool. I need graphical mode.ProTools tutorials have figured out the work around. Create a new track and bus signal to another new track...then tune the 1st bus and record on second track. But how do you do that in Audition!?I love audition and have spent close to 5 years making it my tool of choice...don't want to leave it!Please help
I sometimes mix music with AU CC2019 on my laptop equipped with intel Core i7-9750H (6 cores, 12 threads). However when I'm running or rendering my project (mainly using third-party VST plugins) , only one of the cores (threads) works. It seems that other 5 cores (11 threads) are wasted. When I mix my songs with the build-in effects, maybe one more thread works. But I cannot be satisfied under this circumstances. I know that Adobe Pr is able to implement multicore rendering. Can Audition be implemented as well?
I'm editing a two-hour long dialog file in Audition CC 2018. I've recently been editing a lot of these files. It's been going great. A few minutes ago I notice that this current file I'm working on is displaying yellow warning triangles at the bottom of each clip. They say "warning this clip may have shifted out of sync due to a source media file change." I have no idea what this could mean. The triangles go away as I scroll. They make me nervous. I have recently tried changing the stretch / time / pitch / volume of a small clip selection. I didn't like the result so I undid the change. Hmmm, I did stretch one little portion an hour ago. But I've gone back and undid all changes of the past hour. Triangles are still on every clip. I did record 2 tracks and am only editing one. I save one as a backup, who knows why. I had 2 microphones. I've only been editing one track since I started the editing project weeks ago. The triangles appeared a half hour ago. Ideas? (Hey, it looks like this A
great can u guide me convert audio.mp3 to audio.pcm with audition cc 2018 ?
I was in the middle of an editing session (have been using Audition for the better part of 15 years) when all of the sudden I completely lost the ability to click on a track in multi-track. left click and drag down the volume adjust line, etc. I double checked to see that the tools I always use (predominantly the move tool) was engaged and it was. Logged out, re-booted, had the IT department here re-load Adobe and still nothing. I am sure this is a super simple settings fix but I'll be damned if I can find it. Help? Thanks!
I have a problem using Multitrack. The sound from the speakers (music in the browser, the voice of friends in discord, etc.) somehow goes into the microphone (virtual audio cable) and everyone hears it through my microphone. What could be the problem?
I am editing several long interviews that I'd like to cut up into separate audio files. Is there a way to do this automatically? I wouldn't expect Audition to perfectly cut it into usable clips, but is there somethign that could get me halfway there and save time? If not, is there another feature/workaround that can speed up the process of cutting up interviews into usable bits? I'm using the lastest version, CC2019. Thank you
Hello,I use dropbox desktop app at work and at home so I can edit audio files from either location. I have been working this way for several years, but since upgrading to Audition 2019 this has stopped working. It works from any other local folder as well as Network drives, but since upgrading to Audition 2019, I cannot open audio (wav/mp3) files from within my local dropbox folder by double-clicking the file. My home computer has Audition 2018 and this option continues to work at home.I can open audition first, then open the file that way. I can also copy the file to my desktop and double-click to open and edit it. But both of those approaches take extra time, which in radio I do not always have.Audition is already set as my default app in Windows 10 for audio files.Any help would be appreciated!Thanks!-Bryan
