hey so i am trying to preview my audio in audition and for some reason it is not playing the preview. it shows that it is playing but i am not getting any audio from it.
A few years back dominicp50156988 posted a question similar to my own, however they had a Peavey 10 Mixer and I have an Alan & Heath ZED 10FX.Trouble that I'm having is that Adobe recognizes my mixer as USB AUDIO CODEC, fine but I cannot select more than two channels (both of which produce the same sounds) even though there are four mono channels and two stereo channels. I have not found anything in the manual nor online stating that only two channels can be recorded like it was for dominicp50156988 and their Peavey 10.If anyone knows if this is the case or if I have not pushed a wee button somewhere I truly appreciate your help.
HelloI plan to distribute this audio recording a rending of Francis Brabazon's poem via YouTube. The audio recordings are over four hours. This link is a sample of the audio. Before I commit to creating this project using a photo slide show to complement the audio I was wondering if it is possible to improve the vocal. The fellow's voice in the recording if fine. However I was thinking it may be possible to give his voice a modest change possibly to slightly enchance the sound of his reading.Let me know if there is a useful method to improve the voice. Thanks!Using Audition CS6https://youtu.be/kkiu5Gil8dQ
Hey everyoneIs it possible to use the Kompressor-Effect based on a Bus from another track? (Windwos 10 Build 12.1.5.3)Thx for any help. Cheers
I did a podcast interview via Skype. The audio unfortunately went in and out at times during the interview. Though it is very clear when you do hear the audio. I've transferred the audio to Audition where the problem remains. Is there any way to save this audio? I'm new to the podcasting and using Audition so any adivce helps!
Why would I be unable to record audio above -9? It's applying a limiter to the audio as I'm recording and leveling out and distorting everything louder than -9. I'm recording mono voiceover files. Tried 24bit, 48k and 16bit, 44.1k.
Hi ,In multitrack sesx/sessions, when working on really short sound samples or sound effects, it can be tricky to jump between different things happenning. Is it possible to shorten the duration of the session/sesx file?I am used to clicking on the time scale, just above the playhead to quickly zoom the viewer forwards and backwards in time. Maybe I am missing something and there is a better way of working? (Meaning my need for duration adjustment is a symptom of my wrongdoing?)
I use mix paste frequently with the Spectral Waveform view. I always open it with CTRL+Shift+V. Occasionally I'll want to cancel out, which I use the Escape key to do. Frequently, the Mix Paste window will close, but another one will immediately trigger and open. This happens frequently, and I've only ever had to click cancel twice; never more than two. It's been happening since versions of 2019 and persists into todays release: 13.0.2.35Windows 10, fully up to date as of 1/15/2020.
I have 8+ tracks for my film, 4 dialogue, 3 sfx, 2 atmos and 2 music tracks. Is there a way to apply the essential sounds tag to each seperate layer rather than each clip / file? When I do select all on the layer / track, and apply it seems to only apply it certain tracks. Thanks
Using a mono track, mono clip, 5.1 bus. The puck is not inset into the Center channel. When I keyframe panning, the puck moves accordingly, but the volume lines do not. The lines stay in the center channel. Is this a bug?
When I apply the Convolution reverb to a track and play the track, the playback slows down and I hear crackling noises.
Sad not to see an update yet. Sometimes (especially with software) fixing one thing can mess up another.
Hello Everyone. I have the Sennheiser EW 112P G4 Wireless Lavalier Mic. I have a few questions, please.I was told that It would be best for recording directly from the Sennheiser Into Canon 5D Mark4, to do the following:1- Inside the Canon 5D Manual Audio Dial, Reduce the camera Pre-Amp all the way down to Zero and go one click up. Technically, the Camera Pre-Amp is doing no work. 2- Inside the Sennheiser Transmitter, Lower the Sensitivity to somewhere around -12dB, and Inside the Receiver, Play with the AF Out, for example, +6dB, or higher. Keep playing with AF-Out, and Sensitivity until the AF-PEAK is not Hot. Someone else told me, It would be better to use at least 25% of the Canon 5D Mark4 Built-In Preamp, and 75% of the Sennheiser. Not to go all the way down, Inside the Canon Pre-Amp. Also, with my Sony PXW-Z150 Camcorder, which has an XLR Jack, I did some testing, and I noticed that the Sony Built-In Pre-Amp was much more Powerful than the Canon DSLR. I notice
Hello, I'm on a Macbook Pro 2016, running Catalina 10.15.1 (64bit OS). I upgraded to Audition 2020, and I'd like to get rid of all previous versions of Audition. When I click on the uninstaller for Audition CS6, I get an error message saying that the Uninstaller doesn't work, and that I should contact the developer of the App. I've attached a Screen Grab. I suspect the CS6 has associated files in several places (Applications, Library etc...). Does Adobe have a 64bit version of the Uninstaller? If not, and I have to do a manual Uninstall, could you tell me the procedure to remove Audition CS6 from all places in my Mac? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards,Rajnesh
I'm trying to "Interpret Sample Rate" for a 192kHz track Audition recorded in 176.4kHz even though the header says "192kHz". Converting the sample rate won't work, first I have to "Interpret," but it won't let me as when I open the "Edit" menu the option "Interpret Sample Rate" is grayed out. I am in the waveform editor when trying to do this.
Hello! When I apply any plugin directly (not through ER) - the waveform changes visually. But if I apply anything through Effects Rack in Multitrack view - the waveform stays the same all the time. Is there any way to make it transform by adding plugins on the Rack? It really helps me if the audio visualized...
Hi, for years I have been doing Create-->New Audio File and quickly capturing a mono file from my microphone for voiceover work. This worked throughout the years using a few different interfaces from Focusrite. I recently upgraded to Scarlett 4i4 (3rd gen) and for some reason, the out-of-the-box output presets only allow me to "hear myself" when recording audio if I go into Multitrack Session and record/arm the track. I find this is overkill for a simple VO, and def not the way I've worked for years. Is there any way in Audition to turn on "monitoring" for the simple new audio file recording mode? Because it always just worked before, I always thought it was "on" by default... The fact that I can't hear myself in this mode now throws a wrench in the established workflow. Please assist...
Audition 13.0.2 is now available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop app. This update is aimed at providing better stability and performance and is recommended for all users.
I was working on a two-track spoken dialogue project and everything looked complete and together. (I'd imported the project out of a Premiere project). When I opened the multitrack to continue working the next day, one of the clips on the first track was missing its waveform. It looks like there's no audio in the clip when I know I'd been working on that section the previous day. It just sounds like I've muted the track.I'm hoping someone knows a way that I can get my audio back because I've already done several hours worth of work in this project and I don't want to have to start over. The clip is not offline and everything is exactly how I left it when I shut it down the night before. I'm not sure what to do from here.
Hello Everyone. I would like to know which Technique Is Better. For example, I have attached my Blue Yeti Pro, XLR Jack Into my Focusrite, and Focusrite Is connected to the computer. I can either adjust the Gain from Focusrite or the actual Blue Yetti Pro. Which one is better. Also, I can attach different Microphones, Into my Tascam, and I can either raise the Gain from the Actual Tascam or form the Microphone Transmitter, Receiver.UPDATED:If I am using my Tascam Field Recorder, I personally like to adjust the Gain, from my Tascam. With Focusrite, It looks like It works better If I adjust the Gain from the Focusrite, not the Yeti.Thank you very much.
I remember in the past when you "saved as," or saved a new file from an exisiting one, it would automatically populate in the files pane list. For the past few years, I've had to open the folder manually (click folder icon, upper left) in the files pane, locate the file and click it. I would love to eliminate this step. Is there a way to have the file appear in the files pane from a "save as?"
Hey all!For some reason, after I Ctrl+Z a razor in my Track view, the playhead jumps to the beginning of the session and plays from there instead of just continuing from where it was like it usually does. I haven't touched or changed any settings before this started happening and installing the update didnt fix it. Any suggestions?- Hayden
i currently do not record with any effects on, but once everything is laid out, i usually send all my vocals to a bus thatll have my main effects for cleanup ect...im wondering...while using a cpu heavy plugin...specifically AUTOTUNE PRO, alot of my clients like to use it in real time, which isnt much of an issue. but im curious how some of u would handle this....would you put autotune on a bus and send the tracks that need it in real time to that bus ? or put it on each track manually?
While editing Audio with Audition 13.01.35, Space Bar stops working to play/stop after renaming the markers. To enable Space Bar again, I need to close and restart Audition. Adding some info. It seems this occurs after renaming the marker with a double-byte character.
Hi everyone ! I’m not a recording engineer, just a mucic lover and I’d like to prepare a batch of audio files for listening while commuting. I wonder if someone would be willing to help me setting up a “favorite action” that I could batch apply to a large set of files. Here’s what I think the succession of actions should be : Match loudness to –23 LUFSDynamics Processing > Classic soft knee (I think it’s the best option, but correct me if I’m wrong)Match loudness to –23 LUFS In my understanding, the first pass of loudness matching is important in order to have the dynamics processing operating correctly on tracks with different sound levels. And a final loudness matching is required, once the dynamics has been compressed, because the level of the resulting track can be louder or softer, depending on the music piece. I think setting up an action with these steps must be rather “easy” for a specialist, but not for me. I’ve started to study Audition’s user guid
