So I have audition 3.0...I am running it on an Asus computer that has a NVidia Geforce GTX 860m video card. I have realtek speakers and driver. This computer has a lot of RAM and an I7. I am using an older tascam interface, a US-122. I have used Audition for quite a while but only for mixing and mastering, as I would record files onto my boss 8-track digital machine then dump then into audition to edit and mix etc. My question is does anyone have a link to good site that explains how to set the buffer/latency? I've never had to do it before and it's a bit confusing. I'm using the audition driver cause then I can use the tascam for the input and my realtek for the output. It records fine but play back is choppy, ie plays slow with short stops and starts. From what I've read if I lower the number is better but for playback I wanna increase it. Do you think my generic audio drivers will work well enough for this? I have a lot of ram and processing power but is that enough? Thanks for any
I'm sure it's something basic I'm missing, but on another software I'm able to move the red cursor to a point where I want to insert more dialogue, hit record, speak, and the existing dialogue is pushed further down to accommodate the new stuff. In Audition, I try the same thing, yet it erases the dialogue in front of it (the dialogue further down the track). Help. Thanks in advance!
Hello,I'm sure this is off topic, so please forgive me...I'm trying to create a voiceover and it always sounds like I'm doing it with a tin-can phone... I'm hoping that upgrading to the following will help: https://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/focusrite-choose-your-mic-recording-package-with-scarlett-2i2-and-mh310-headphones?rNtt=2i2&index=1 but the question is, which mic works best with Adobe Audition or other CC programs? The MXL 990/993 or the V400? I really don't know...Again, I'm sorry this is off topic, I know absolutely nothing about audio and I can't find anyone to answer my questions before I throw money at a project.Thank you!
I purchased AA3 in 2009 (still have the box). I continue to use it on a laptop that’s just as old for freelance voice work, but I’m LONG overdue for a computer upgrade (understatement of the year). Is 3.0 reinstallable on a modern Windows 10 laptop, or should I suck it up and get Audition CC? (Which leads to the question I haven’t been able to find an answer to yet: does CC have radio automation data input for .wav files, and the ability to set segue tones, date carts, etc, as 3.0 does? I know some recent versions did NOT support this for a time). Thanks!
When working on an edit seam, I see a ghost of where the play head waswhile sampling through. I have a feeling there is a key stroke that will jumpthe play head back there? Anyone? Thanks. see image OK suddenly why can I not insert any image?? png, no, jpg nosee alert:ok cannot insert any image. it's only 300kbosx 10.12.6
I'm trying to improve the quality of the dialog in a file I'm working with that includes both a musical performance and a dialogue between the performers. The recording setting for the event wasn't ideal. The mics worked well for the musicians performance, but not so well for individual speakers during the dialog. The voices are boomy, heavy on bass tones, and hard to understand. is there a way I can edit the dialogue sections to improve the sound quality? I'm not a complete rookie at Audition, but don't know the tools to do this kind of editing. I'm grateful for any help. — Carolyn Servid

I know this question has been asked myriad times, but it would be NICE if Adobe added this feature to the next update. While it may not seem important for general VO work, it is extremely important to those of us (Audiobook narrators, which is a booming industry) to have in the studio. PnR allows the narrator to narrate smoothly, with minimal interruption after setting the start point. I know the hybrid of PnR exists in the multitrack view, but it is not the same. Especially when you need to "re-PnR" to get the take just right. This is not "loop-recording" for multiple takes, or just the simple "punch-in" recording to correct mistakes and the recording stops at a predetermined location. Punch and Roll, is the combination of "Punching in" at a predetermined location (with a pre-roll amount the operator can set from 2 seconds to 20 seconds), and having Audition continue to record until the "Stop" button is keyed. You are also able to "loop record" but t
Hello,I'm using Adobe Audition CC 2018. I'm trying to clean a heavy interference from the audio clip and really struggling to take it out.I really appreciate if anyone can help on this topic.Regards
Hello,I'm working on a storytelling video at the moment about a young artist. The only issue that I have is that I recorded her voice with the same mic everytime, but I did record her in different houses, different room sizes etc... So the sound from those different spots sound quite different from each other. I'm doing a storytelling video where I'm switching from let's say house 1 for 5 seconds, then house 2 for 10 seconds, then going back to house 1 for 10 seconds etc... So having her voice sound different everytime few seconds makes the whole thing really weird.I know I need to work with EQ or compressor for sure, I was just wondering if any of you knew of a tutorial that would talk specifically about this topic? I've been looking all over internet and have found nothing, but I am probably not using the right key words in my researches because there is so much storytelling videos, reports, short documentary those days that they must be some tutorials about this specific topic somew
Hello All. I edit 2 interview-based podcasts and I'm looking for ways to improve my efficiency. My current work-flow is:1) Insert both interview wavs to multitrack2) Group them to sync3) Speed up playback by 200% to reduce the listening time4) Mark interview thematically with subclip markers - make any major cuts5) Mark interview for vocal tics and mess ups (ums, ahs, etc) Now this is where I'm having trouble. Currently, I go through, select each marker and command + k to split, then delete the newly made clip (of the vocal tic). There are a few solutions I can think of to improve this workflow, but I don't know how to execute, if it's possible. I would like to:1) Return the interview speed to normal while having the markers maintain their place in the session. (Currently, they stay locked to the timeline, this still happens when I unselect this option from the "Markers and Metadata" preferences2) Select all of the markers and ripple delete everything (instead of having to do it
Hi,I am a voice over artist that records audiobooks. I have started using audition and have thought of a feature I would like but am not sure if its possible. I have one input (my microphone) and I want to have a multi-track set up with my microphone recording to one track. The tricky part is that I want to be able (ideally via hot key) to switch which track of the multi-track my microphone is recording to.This is helpful for character voices. I would record the narration in one track and have separate tracks for each character voice. Whenever a character came up, I would like to be able to hit a specified hot key and change it so that things are no longer recorded in track 1 but now in track 2. when I hit a different hot key the recording would swap back to track 1.The result would hopefully look something like this:Track 1) ------------- ----------- ----------Track 2) &nbs
Hi, all! I found the online filter, downloaded it and placed it in the same folder as my AA software, but now I'm mystified as to how to convert an AA WAV file into FLAC.Do I need to reinstall AA3? I have rebooted but still don't see a way. Thanks for any help!

Hi, I'm trying to connect a Digidesign M-Box 2 mini to Audition CC 2018 without success. I have downloaded the latest drivers as well as the standalone core audio driver, but audition can't see the m-box. Has anyone faced and resolved this issue?
Please fix my account, I can't call and I need to use Audition now
I love Audition, I really do. It's what I learned on back in the CEP days, and I still use it for all of my mixing and mastering, but as of late (the last year or 2) It has been crashing on me over and over again. This morning I opened up a brand new session, loaded maybe 15 tracks into the session, did my gain staging, panning, adjusted levels, added a stereo buss, clicked to add a reverb plugin to the buss and BOOM. Crash. It was the only plugin I had even attempted to put in the session. I hadn't even used and stock plugins yet. Luckily I had saved the session right before trying to open the plugin because it crashes all of the time any more. I kept working on the mix for a couple of hours and I think that Audition crashed on me at least 20 more times working on that mix.I have sent my crash files to Adobe more than once. I have NEVER gotten a response. I always send the error report if given the option, yet it never changes anything. I would say that it's the non-stock plugins, but
Good day. I am using Audition 3.0 Build 7283 on Windows 10 Pro. I have been using Audition since it was Cool Edit Pro, but I am no expert. I have some songs that were converted from WAV to MP3. All the files were created using the same process. I am trying to create one file with clips of the four songs. Audition allows me to enter 2 of the files, but gives me an error message that the other 2 files are not the same format. I used Audition to open, and save all 4 files individually to the same MP3 format. No change. Any suggestions? Any help will be appreciated.Thank you, Dan Wilson...
I welcome! I will try to explain what I want. I have audiofiles with an overload on low frequencies (from beat of a drum). Such sound beats ears. It is necessary to make so that not manually to lower the loudness of each peak of an overload of frequency. Is able to do it by means of some filter? To me sees so: to allocate the range of frequencies and to set cutting off level.Reference to a sample of the sound file:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PvqsMffG1cfi18OBKsdGCy32_JkldUfY/view?usp=sharing
Hi - I'm new to Audition, I started using it a couple of weeks ago to clean up audio files created with a SoundDevices MixPre6 and then import them into FCPX. I love the results, and the AutoHeal effect is a lifesaver to fix breathing sounds picked up by sensitive mics, but I have one problem that is driving me nuts. With 4 mics recording to separate channels on the Mix Pre, I get a 6 channel wav file (the 4 independent tracks and a stereo mix). If I import the file directly into FCPX I can separate it into 6 tracks and edit each one independently. When I import it into Audition I can see all 6 tracks, and I can make changes (apply effects) to individual tracks, but I can only hear the first 2 (the stereo mix). If I deselect the first 2, I can't hear anything, but I can see the change in the waveform and the changes are there when I save the file and then import it into FCPX (eg, if I select #3 only and select a range within that track and set it to silent, I can see that on
Just checking to make sure that the 2018 edition of Adobe Audition CC: Classroom in a Book will be released by September 10, 2018. We began classes yesterday.
I have created multiple audio files, MP3, in Audition (CC 2017) and for each file, I have added ID3 metadata. When I open the files I can see that the metadata I have created is there. But when I create a CD layout and insert the files in the CD layout the ID3 metadata is not there in the metadata view. Also, if I add the metadata while in the CD layout view it is not being saved. I want this information to be associated with each file when I burn the CD. No metadata is being added for any of the tracks on the CD. How can I get this to work?
Hi everyone!I'm a complete noob, so sorry if my question is stupid. I'm creating a 5.1 surround song and between Ls and Rs is veeery quiet (behind listener). I want the whole song to be at the exact maximum volume at every side that is coming from. Thanks for help!
When I try to apply effects, I get this message: The selected effect may not be suitable for real-time playback because its either CPU-intensive or high-latency. To maximize playback performance, enable pre-rendering on the trck containing the effect. My question is: how do I enable pre-rendering? Will this solve my issue?
Adobe CC apps on iOS devices are incredible. Is there an Audition CC for iOS in the works? I would love to be able to record and edit podcasts on my iPad Pro. Ferrite is the best option right now, but I know Audition would be much better. Please and thank you. Fingers crossed,Mike
