Audition

Every time I drag sound file into a project, Au creates a new copy of it in "Conformed Files".A lot of useless disk space is spent on it. Duplicates and copies of the same files in different places of different projects.How to turn it off? Other programs do not make unnecessary copies of files. Reaper does this on the fly and does not create a bunch of unnecessary files in the project folder.

Hello everyone! So, I am editing several podcasts. I have raw audio files and the guest has many “ahh´s" in the conversation. The length of the audio file is almost 30minutes and I have been doing it manually. Is there any way to save some time and just capture the “aaahh“ and automatically remove the same in the entire audio file? Disclaimer: the background removal doesn´t work since it is taking the voice, the moment I apply it to the entire audio, it messes up their voice. Please help guys thank you so much!!!

Hi there,So I've been having a little bit of trouble sending audio back from Audition to Premiere and having the changes match.•Just as a test I sent a dialogue clip to audition, normalised to -0.1dB.•In the effects rack I used a Tube Compressor to boost the low points and lower some of the top end volume as seen in the screen shot.•I also have a Hard Limiter to cut off anything above -1dB•After I get the volume to a nice area from -3 to -1 dB  I save and go back to Premiere•At this point the clip in Premiere renders the changes and has been improved however it does not match the output being shown and heard in Audition; Audition it's as I said -3 to -1db but in Premiere the clip sits between -5dB and -3dB. •I have made no changes to the audio clip within Premiere and there is nothing in the way of audio track effects besides a Hard Limiter on the Master set to -1dBIs there a reason why the Audition output doesn't translate to Premiere?I'm running the following setup: 2013 Mac Pro

Hei!I am not completely familiar with audition, I tried to do this in Premiere but it didnt sound as good as I would hope. I have this audio where a guy is talking, but I want to cut some of the unnescessary words he says during the audio without changing the background noise ( there is a light buzz). It would have been smart to get rid of the background noise first however the first part of the video is already out and right now I am trying to keep it consistent. Any thoughts you guys?I tried to do it in Audition with Noise reduction and REstauration, and I just selected the guy's voice that i wanted to get rid of but it just leaves the audio with a weird sound after that...

Whenever I try to import my audio files into audition, it glitches/skips when I play it. But, whenever I play the file in my music player it plays smoothly with no problem. How do I fix this issue?

I can open, import any sound file and play it or edit it with no problems in Adobe Audition CS6.  I Have just tried to record a simple wave file in AA, but it won't.  I did this by playing the file in a media player and Stereo Mix (what you hear) set.  My sound drivers are fine and in Sound and Audio Device Properties, the Recoding Control has Stereo Mix enabled.  The Line In is enabled also.  I then tried the Line In by connecting a sound source to it and tried to record.  Again nothing.  Here are screen captures of Audio Channel mapping and Audio Hardware:Thanks in advance for help.

I have Audition 2018 on my iMac, but when I log into Audition on my MacBook, they are not there.  Is there a way of exporting them so that whichever computer I use will have them available?

Hello, I have purchased and downloaded a MultiTrack song to perform with.  I tried to pan the "click track" to the left, and the remainder of the recording to the right, and I still hear both in my headphones.  What steps should I take to make the click track the only thing playing in the left, and everything else in the right?  Any YouTube sessions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Anyone else having problems scanning existing/loading VST plugins after the latest Audition update? All Waves plugs status shows "Not working" and won't reload, also can't "enable" them either.... Ozone and Neutron VST3 also the same problem... Thanks for any help!!

My multitrack page has gone missing.  I still have the edit and CD screen but the multitrack screen refuses to load. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I need to play a video of me playing guitar and singing while I record additional sound tracks. Can this be done (playing and recording) using one instance of Audition? Or, can you run a second instance of Audition? I’d imagine, if nothing else, you could do this by using some video player to play…and Audition to record (simultaneously on one PC). Thanks!Rusty

Hi,The Audition (CC 11.0.2) interface is very slow on a high-res display. I switched from a 4-year old iMac to the iMac pro and my framerate while moving the display field or zooming has dropped to 3-5 fps. --> The problem is definitely the rendering of the interface on high-res displays, because when I drag the window to my non-retina second monitor, the framerate is normal again. If I open the app in low resolution (MacOS finder setting) it looks ugly, but the framerate is good again.Any word on a speed increase, or GPU acceleration for the interface?Thanks!

Wondering if I'm the only person experiencing this.  I just upgraded to CC '18 11.0.2 on my new work machine and the audio output is colored in both the linear and multitrack editors.I haven't inserted any effects into the master section or effects rack but raw voice is feeding through my headphones with a minor delay/dry reverb effect.When I play the raw audio using Windows Media Player it sounds perfectly fine.  When I play the audio on my primary production machine using CC '17 it sounds perfectly fine.Please help!

Hi,I am new to Adobe Audition and I have managed to rip a LP to my computer but only in one large file of around 10 songs and would like to separate them into individual tracks but can not figure out how to, I have read up about adding markers using the F8 key but not a clean solution for me, is there a easier way to set AA to rip each song on the fly? it must know when a song has finished and the next one begins?Any help is appreciated, also eliminating white noise and static would be good.Cheers

Hello everybody, I discovered the effect Mastering (Effects->Special) and one of its options caught my eye: It's the one which let's you control the stereo balance. I need it to focus the sound in my songs on the center channel. So if I put the slider on - 100% it does a good job but I noticed that this adds unwanted frequencies. I'll explain it with an example: A song has vocals, piano and strings. The strings and piano are on the left and right channel (they are recognizable as stereo sound when listening with headphones) while the vocals are on the center channel. If I use that stereo balancing effect from the Mastering option on -100%, I hear the high frequencies of the outer channels (in this example it would be the strings and piano) in the center channel. The frequency section of that sound starts around 1500hz. I do not have this problem when I put the slider on +100%. Can I prevent this by changing some settings in the Master window? Or what else can I do to prevent bringin

Hi guys,got a problem with the dynamic link from Premiere CC to Audition CC. I want to use the video file as a reference while working on the audio files. Everything works well except the video! Black screen, although there is a video file in the Audition time line. Sure I can render the file as a mpeg preview in premiere, but it should work with dynamic link too! It is the newest version of Audition and Premiere.Any experiences or advices?Thanks for your help!All the best,André

Hey!Just picked up the Presonus StudioLive AR12 Mixer.  Using with windows 10 and Adobe Audition CC 2017 with the ASIO driver to multitrack and record podcasts.  I use 4 headset mics and want to playback audio into headsets after recording, but am having trouble.  How do I send audio (for review) from Audition back to the headsets?

Something has happened in the most recent update.It used to be when Auto-scrolling was selected during playback....when you clicked in the waveform to make an edit...it kept playing but STOPPED scrolling.Now, while the waveform is playing...you can't click and make and edit WHILE it's playing. You have to stop the entire file from playing...click and make an edit.Is there any solution for this?MASSIVE slow down and frustration during editing because of this.

Tengo un problema cuando grabó al momento de dar clic en el botón grabar se escucha un zumbido si doy clic en botón amarillo  (I) que es el de monitoreo se escucha el zumbido y si lo apago aun así al grabar el audio me queda con el zumbido no es la mezcladora porque probé con otra me hizo  lo mismo no es la computadora porque probé con otras 2 con más ram 4 núcleos  me hizo lo mismo el zumbido no es ruido ambiente es algo diferente y aparte que puedo hacer en que me podrían ayudar se los agradecería  bastante de hecho ya probé con 2 softwares más y me hace lo mismo invertí en cables de buena calidad y sigo igual lo único que me falta es usar micrófono de condensador pero pues ya se me terminaron los recursos pero bueno espero su respuesta gracias y hasta luego ayuda  porfa.

Long time Audition user experiencing something new with 2018 version. Nearly every time I start a new, clean file – either via hitting the record button or by selecting "New File" – and choosing either a mono or a stereo recording, 96KHz, 24-bit, as I have done for years, when the window closes and the GUI opens the main window, I get a system freeze. Every time this happens, the window is strangely defaulted as zoomed in to sample level, too, as opposed to zoomed out to view the waveform "drawing" as it records as normal. This is on a 2012 Mac Pro, 32 GB memory, very fast hard drives, running OS Sierra. Sound card is Apogee Duet for Mac/iPad.I've never had any issue like this with Audition before, ever, until the upgrade. Creating a new file first, then hitting "record", doesn't stop the problem from happening. The problem happens maybe 75% of the time. Help?

I'm working on Audition at home this weekend and the frame rate, i.e. the speed of updates to the playback bars and the time indicator, is slow. At work, I use a 1920x1080 monitor on a recent Lenovo laptop and all is well. Why would performance be worse on a 4K screen with a 1080 Ti? My CPU is a liquid-cooled 6-core, 12-thread Haswell-E Intel, the 5930K. During playback, it never goes above 16% utilization. The files are located on my boot drive, a 512 GB Samsung 850 Evo.I have never had a performance issue on anything except The Witcher 3. Can I force Audition to downscale its resolution? How do I get it to display properly?
