I have some vocals I recorded over a backing track, and I'd like to be able to remove the backing music in order to isolate the vocals (as much as possible).I have a separate waveform with just the backing track. Is it possible to use the backing track waveform as a selection (or mask) in the recording with the vocals, enabling me to essentially cancel out the music?
I've been recording a podcast for a few months now, typically I record 4 tracks simultaneously for about 1hr-1.5hrs. I've never had any real issues until now. After recording this weekend I realized (in post-production) that some of my audio is sped up and noisy. Obviously the tracks are significantly shorter, but my first thought was to check my undo-history to see if it was my fault. There was one difference that I remember during this recording and that is at one point I paused the recording for a bathroom break. I'm not sure if this could be the source of the issue but I would really like to recover this audio, or at the very least document the cause so that I may avoid it in the future. Please help.Specs:MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)2.7 GHz Intel Core i5macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)
Anything involving audio that I've tried works fine, but the video aspect is completely useless currently. I don't have an error report, but here's a screenshot of whenever I import a video clip into audition. Help!
When I upload audio files into Audition, the sound become distorted by crackling and pop sounds - both in waveform and multitrack? The original files are fine, I've listened to them externally from Audition, which makes me think it has to do with the editing software itself. I've recently upgraded to CC 12, but still same problem. And the software functioned fine during the earlier half of the year - this has only happened recently (in the past month or so). It doesn't effect the sound of the final podcast but it's frustrating to edit with. Has anyone experienced this before?
Hello,I am experiencing weird problem. In my audio session for video documentary there are some clips that look perfectly normal. Except when you try to play them random scratching/popping sound ocurs (like audio ending in the midde of sound, no fade out). When playing in waveform view it works well. If I try to play them few times in a row it starts to work better somehow. I really wouldn't mind this problem but it also affects final mixdown. When I play exported mixdown with these same parts, the sound of each problematic part changes from the beginning. It starts sounding like low pass filter and after 1 second it fades to normal. I hope I explained good enough. What could be the problem? I tried different mixdown settings but problem stays. I also tried pre-rendering tracks and it is the same. I am using quad core HP Elitebook 8570w with 16 gb RAM and SSD. I use Roland UA-25EX sound card and MME setting in Audition. Latency is set to 250ms. I would appreciate any help.Thank you!
Hello,I am using Audition CS6. However, I am with Audition an absolute layman! I am not familiar with the technical terms and therefore have problems using the search functions.I have a concert recording for a friend as an mp3 file. My girlfriend needs this piece of music to practice. However, this song is almost 4 hours. She has great difficulty finding the places when she has stopped playing. Now I wanted to install markers to which she can jump back and forth on the CD. It works in audition but not on the CD. Where is my mistake? How do I solve this problem?Regards and thxJoe
I was forced to upgrade to Win10 pro upon having to replace my mobo and cpu, the i78600k which will not work properly on win7 pro. My other Adobe software programs are working just fine but Audition is all kinds of wonky and I am unable to get it to work after reinstalling and going back to the 2018 version as well. I did a quick Camtasia vid to elucidate what is (not)happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here is the link: Audition not working - YouTube
Greetings, I am making a short Animated film in which I have children and a witch. Since this is low-budget work, I would like to use my own voice as a reference (for acting out emotion, emphasis, etc). Amazon has an AWS utility called Polly which does Text to Speech in different voices, e.g. English-Australian with Male, Female, young girl/ boy characters. However, the problem with Polly is that there is no emotion/ Voice acting ability in it.it I was wondering whether I could use some software plugin (such as a Vocoder perhaps) which would take my voice as a reference, but generate speech in a voice similar to Polly's output? Thanks in advance for your reply.Regards,Rajnesh
Hi! Im quite new to Audition and have found out how to do Text-To-Speech although when i try to change It to male, It is greyed out. I am using Audition CC 2019
Hi people, I am wondering is there a possibility or better way to make two recordings sound like they were record at the same time when they are really a instrumental recording recorded one day and then a vocal recording recorded another day...Is it possible to do this...I am wondering would a layer of the instrumentalThen a layer of vocals Then a layer of of instrumental Make it sound less like one was just laid over the top or would it just still sound the same as if I had just laid a instrumental over the vocals?Just wanting to do my best so that the vocals don't sound like a voice over....And people don't say hmm..."why does it sound like the instrument is covering up the vocal?"?Thanks for your advice and possibly help!
Hi. Am having an infuriating time. I have to complete a podcast edit for a client, and Audition won't work. It just crashes either on start up or just after. I have tried going back to CC2017 and it does the same. There was a dialogue box saying there is a "workaround or solution" and pointing me towards this page which contains neither: Audition Crashed. Now what? I'm getting seriously fed up with Creative Cloud's instability. This seems to have been an issue for a while - has anything been done about it?Running Windows 7 PC.
Hello,I'm trying to record using ZYLIA ZM-1 (USB microphone array http://www.zylia.co/zylia-zm-1-microphone.html ) and Audition, but every time I try to choose ZM-1 ASIO driver in Audio Hardware, Audition crashes. Do you have any ideas how to fix this? I'm using Windows 10. Thanks in advance!
I have a question and could appreciate some help. I record a podcast with up to 3 blue yeti mics on audition with a dell g5 5587. No issues. I wanted to add a 4th mic as I have done in the past with a dell latitude that had 4 usb ports, this laptop only has 3. So I purchased a powered usb hub and got the error not enough controller resources when I opened audition. Would anyone know if you can use a powered usb hub? It was a 3.0 speed maybe I should downgrade to 2.0 hub? Just wanting to add more inputs. Thanks
Hi, when I record a Favorite it ignores my spectral selection. It would be nice to have that feature. For example I need it to edit partials in many string samples, a spectral Favorite would be great here Cheers,Guillaume
Hello,I'm assuming this isn't possible but I figured I would as the Adobe brain trust before giving up! I work at a radio station. We have CS5.5 and I use CC on my iMac at my home studio. However, I have favorites which I would love to import into my iMac. I would recreate them if I could remember the processes! I was just wondering if anyone knew of way to accomplish this?
Hi -On Audition 3.1 on PC it was very easy to have a mixer panel below the multitrack editor panel; and then to resize the height of either panel on an as-needed basis.I'm now on CS6 (I will upgrade to CC at some point ) - but - for ages - I haven't been able to achieve placing a mixer panel below the multitrack editor panel (merged). I can only have them as separate panels; and if merged, side by side. I'm not expert on the whole undocking panel feature - I really struggle with it to be honest. In a nutshell - I want to undock the multitrack editor and mixer panels, and re-merge them with the mixer below the multitrack editor, so that I can manually resize their vertical panel size using the yellow dividing line, on an as-needed basis - my preferred way of working Any help appreciated. Thanks,Kevin Nolan,Dublin.
Hey guys,I am currently editing a 2-hour long podcast. I worked with 4 mics and have got a mixdown file for all of them that I am using to edit. I have matched the loudness to -16LUFS and have a horrible amplified breathing sound sometimes before people started speaking. Is there any way I can get rid of that? Thanks in advance
I've been using Audition for a few months now and I just went to save something and noticed, as far as I could tell, that there isn't a native file format for Audition when you go to save. My use of the program was pretty light and my college was making us use oh what was it, Reaper, which I couldn't ever really get a grasp of. Anyway, any reason why this was done, do the other formats work fine on there own, is Audition not as good as I think it is, or am I missing something else?
I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing or might have a solution for the following bug:When an audio file "goes offline", even for a second, a warning dialog with "Audition has encountered an error reading or writing to disk. We recommend you save your work and restart audition" is displayed and the track is replaced with 2 second looped portions of the audio. The waveform still looks alright, however when using the Spectral Frequency Display, you can see the looped audio. I understand that there will be issues when a file "goes offline" in Audition, but this is quite a annoying bug. Why can't it offline and relink like video files in Premiere?Saving the edits also saves the looped audio, there is no way to undo this.
I have huge problems getting AA CC 2019 to pick up sound on my 2016 Macbook Pro.I have tried both my Røde NT USB mic and my SoundBlaster E5 USB sound card. And both work fine with everything else on my Mac. Garageband, Ableton Live - everything just works.Except for Adobe Audtion...All inputs are set up as required in Audition and System Preferences. Both devices devices show up as they should. But when I press record Audition picks up total silence. As in NO SOUND AT ALL.The waveform is completely empty. It did use to work up until Mac OS Mojave came around. So I thought maybe that was the problem and CC 2019 would fix it.But no luck. Still total silence.Any ideas?ThanksJesper
You need to follow the advice in this thread:No Audio In regardless of source selected
I I have a few audio clips that their name are in arabic language. After insert into Audition 2017 their name are damage. Or in the other word:Audition dos not support the Arabic language. Can you tell me what can i do?With my Best regard
Recently, I've noticed an audible click at the beginning of audio tracks that I create in Audition and render out to MP3 or WAV files. At first I thought the click was being generated by my playout software, PlayIt CartWall, but on closer inspection I discovered that when I used the Export-Multitrack-Mixdown function in Audition to export a time sequence from the multitrack timeline, Audition is adding the click at the beginning of the exported file. How can I eliminate these clicks without having to edit each one manually?
I'm working in the multitrack file and switched to waveform to use the noise reduction process. That was working fine. Then all of sudden, I went back to waveform and there is no audio. There is audio in multitask only. Help??I'm using a MAC- High Sierra Thanks.
