Audition

This is an example of what I need to do in Adobe Audition CC. I need every track to start and end at the same time because I need to send them out to someone.Thanks.

Anyone know how to get the type of echo/hollow sound effect on your voice like you can hear clearly in the first seconds of this video: Why I Love League of Legends But Hate Playing It - YouTube​  ? Also, anyone have tips to how I can edit my voice to sound more epic as I am going to record a motivational speech? Grateful for all replies!

Unfortunately, the Meta Cover Image does not work for me. In both Multitrack and Waveform view, the image browser is greyed out and not clickable, I can not select an image. What can this be? I ask for help.Thanks.

Hi - my M Audio Delta soundcard started to create nasty noise, so I've put in a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6, and pretty much got it to work. But whatever I do, when recording in Audition it limits the sound to -6....which is pretty puny.Never happened with the Delta - any ideas?

I am so pissed that Adobe Audition didn't save my Waveform. Literally, I just recorded a 2 hour podcast and when I went to merge the tracks (because I had to record in two separate programs - Audition and Garage band) it overwrote the track and there's no recovery on waveform. Here's the rub, I'm running a Blue Raspberry mic on Audition 2018 on the most recent Macbook pro. I can get a level detection in waveform, but not in multitrack, even when I select it from the device dropdown. What's even more frustrating is that I bought two Blue Raspberry mics hoping for a consistency of sound and they aren't able to be detected using the aggregate devices. But why would using one mic work in waveform, but not on the mutlitrack. Hi guys,Adobe Audition has this very convenient feature of marking audios by defining audio and silence in the Diagnostics window. I've been searching on the internet seeing if there are any scripts or way we could batch process multiple audio files rather than one by one.Is it still the case that the batch processing in AU still doesn't support the diagnostics and no scripts could help in this case?Thanks a lot!Best,Penny

Hello!I'm looking to set up a process for normalising my files, but in a pretty manual way. Basically, I want to know all the steps that are taking place throughout, rather than letting Audition use an automated process. The Match loudness process is close to what I'm looking for, but I'm thinking of the following basic steps:1. Hard Limit - figure out what level to hard at based on a particular stat of the file.2. Normalise to -2db3. More? let me know if I should be adding.It's step 1 I need some help on. What stats would you use to figure out a starting point for the hard limit? I know you're going to say 'it depends, needs to be done by eye' but the trouble is I need to write a script around this to allow it to be done automatically. So, the Amplitude statistics give me a lot - do one of the RMS measures give me a decent starting point? Eyeballing it, the Maximum RMS Amplitude looks like it's in the right ballpark, for example. Any help would be appreciated!

For some reason audition is silencing small segments of sound throughout my audio files.  I am working on a multitrack session.   It seems to be happening after I make edits.I believe that it is happening when i merge two clips together e.g. after i delete a segment of audio and merge the remaining two clips together.  The silences are not happening at the point at which two sound clips merged, however they are happening minutes later in the audio.I have attached a picture below in which I highlighted an unwanted silence on a voice file that was inserted mid-speech.  I highlighted the portion of sound that audition automatically silenced.Any help would be much appreciated.

there is an audiobook which CIA censored many names from the memoir, and the publisher pasted an exact audio phrase on the whole file repeatedly many times, and listening to it is a frustrating experience.So I need a method to cut out these 30 seconds long warning phrase automatically or replace it with a simple beep. I don't want to do this on a 15 hours long audiobook manually.Can anyone guide me on how to do such task automatically with the help of a plugin or something?Thank you in advance.

I export a multitrack session from Premiere to Audition, add a Multiband Compressor, for example, adjust parameters with automation turned off while I experiment with the audio, get my settings just right, then I want to automate fader levels only.  I go into Latch mode, position the playhead at the beginning of my sequence, and as soon as I hit play, every single parameter of the effect is instantly reset to zero (or factory preset defaults)  Help??!  I'm used to Pro Tools, where, in the effect window, I can deselect a button to tell the effect to ignore automation data.  Can find anything like that with Audition.Thanks!Steve ThomasonAlpharetta, GA

I noticed that InDesign has a "Save A Copy" feature that allows you to save a functional snapshot of a project as it progresses. Does Audition offer the same? I think I think it would be helpful to preserve a working copy without having to create an entirely new multitrack session. I'm new-ish to the platform and am still defining my workflow.  Please let me know if I'm overlooking this feature.Thanks - Ken

Hi everyone,I use a pro sound card. I have a problem when I recording. Positive half cycle and negative half cycle is difference in adobe audition. Why, I couldn't  understand.. I have a sampleThanks in advance

set up is a MacBook, el capitan OS. Scarlett 18i8 interface with 4 XLR mics. Adobe will only see the 2 of the 4 inputs - and will only put one on the right and one on the left channel. I have the newest version of focusrite control. Audacity picks up all four mics fine.  How do I get adobe to let me map more than two inputs?

I have been trying to figure this one out for awhile and I am open to suggestions.  I produce a podcast and random drop outs show up in the final mix.  I do pitch shift the vocal track and I know this is processor intensive so I pre-render that track and send it to an FX bus for eq and compression using Izotope elements. I'm using the lastest version of Audition running on windows 10 home edition with a core i7 and 24 gigs of ram. I use Samsung solid state 250GB SATA drive.  The pitch shift is done with the internal Audition effect.Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I have an edited podcast with several interviews and all files are in a multitrack, but for some odd reason each file is linking to one audio file. The correct files are still named in the multitrack timeline. So I tried to delete the one file that is playing for all my tracks, when I do that all clips in the timeline say offline. I then tried to relink media with the correct file but I get the spinning beachball of death and audition will crash. Thankfully I exported the entire podcast and can edit it, but I wanted to edit my working file. Any ideas? And yes, my backup file is doing the same thing. I can go back a few versions, but then lose changes.  Why does Audition do this? I haven't moved my files.

I’m looking at some interviews to clean up the ambient audio challenges in either Audition or Premiere Pro, BUT it begs a question.I was originally trained to eliminate ambient audio issues BEFORE post. That is, fix the problems on location like, turn off fans, AC/furnace blowers, unplug a fridge with it’s compressor going off and on, etc, etc.I’m finding it increasing difficult to eliminate all these sounds. Recently I was filming in the only room available at a particular office complex. Visually everything was great, but we discovered there were at least 6 different sounds coming from some known sources (the office maintenance tech helped us with that), others we never could quite figure out how to eliminate the challenging ambience.So in this ripened age of digital non-linear editing with a plethora of audio plugins, do most people just fix it in post now?If yes, any tips or tutorials you would recommend to eliminate the ambient sounds? Thanks!

In Auditions' Amplitude Statistics, it expresses DC Offset as a percentage.  I understand what DC Offset is, but am not clear how to interpret that value (is it a percentage of the total bit depth?, dbFS?, RMS?, volts?, etc).  The Audition user guide does not offer any explanation.Thanks in advance for helping me with this.

I have a question about working with markers when editing audio:When I double click on an existing marker (from the marker window) in a file, the playhead snaps to that marker, and the marker is displayed at the very left edge of the waveform/editor window (when I'm zoomed in, which I almost always am for long files with lots of markers). Is there a way to change this so that the playhead still goes to the marker, but rather than displaying the marker at the very left, it appears, for instance, in the middle of the editor window, so that I can see some of the waveform both before and after the marker? (Instead of just after.)It seems like a small thing, but if there is a fix for this it would actually save me tons of time when editing really long files.Thanks,Brian

I think it would be handy to be able to view a spectral view and traditional waveform edit view simultaneously. Is this possible?Thanks!

Through some "mis-click," a separate bar appeared below one of the timelines in the multitrack (shown below). I would like to get rid of it, but despite searching all over for what I'm is an easy solution, I haven't found it. Help please?  Thanks Steve

So, I have this audio that I recorded for a podcast. My audio, the host audio, is fine because I recorded it locally and with all the equipment I use for podcasting. No problems there. However, I didn't want to "burden" my guest with too much technical requirements, so I just recorded the audio from the web conference call we were on. I didn't have the equipment or the know how to do a mix minus or anything like that, so it really is just the raw audio, and it's not great.I don't normally record this way, but it sounds like the microphone on the guest's computer was less than ideal so I am looking for a way to clean it up and add some clarity. Recently I've tried to save a .sesx & this prompt appears. I have not personally locked or marked anything as read only nor do i know how. I AM AFRAID to complete the action save as because in doing so on another .sesx, that gave the same prompt, the program merged some of my tracks in the editor panel i wasn't working on with the current multitrack session. Meaning after i completed the action 3 different sessions became one i do not know how nor care because I'm sure it was a bug that needs addressed apparently. what i need to know is how to unmark the session from being "Read only or Locked" so i can save or command+s normally without this prompt appearing. Thank you for your time & consideration.

I work with a laptop (Windows 10) connected to a second screen.  Whenever I try to move my Audition window to my second screen extension or try to resize it if working on the laptop alone, it crashes.  How do I stop it crashing and how can I set it up so that I can move it to my second screen.Strangely it worked fine while it was a trial - as soon as I subscribed it's developed this glitch.Thanks for your help.

After Saving an audio file In Audition CS6, the file becomes corrupt; when I look at the file again, it is only 1 second of static alternating 1 second of silence and only on the Left channel (Right Channel is silent) for the duration of the file.This is happening on 2 separate systems.  We have been using Audition CS6 for years without an issue, until now.It is periodic too, no warning, rhyme, or reason.Thoughts?
