I have Audition 2017 and 2018 installed. When I arm 2018 to record, there is a echoing reverb effect. In other words, if I said "Test", I'd hear that repeatedly in my headphones until I unarm that track. This does not happen in 2017. I am not using any special plugins or anything. I even did a clean install of Windows 10. The only special equipment I use is a Behringer XENYX Q502USB mixer. Can anyone explain why this is happening in 2018 and not 2017?
Is it possible for Audition to provide support for an AJA T-Tap thunderbolt to HDMI/SDI video adapter? We use these in two sound studios for external video monitoring for foley/adr sound sync. Being able to send the Video panel from audition to the AJA T-Tap would be ideal.FYI the AJA T-Tap works with Premiere Pro's video output (and also Pro Tools).
Does anyone have experience of using an AJA T-Tap thunderbolt-to-HDMI/SDI video adapter with Adobe Audition? This should allow you to view Audition's Video panel on to an external display/monitor, with the intention of performing foley/ADR sound sync in a recording studio.I can't seem to get video output from a 2015 iMac to an external monitor (TV) via the T-Tap.For info, Pro Tools and Premiere Pro are outputting video to the TV monitor via the AJA T-Tap with no issue. Not sure if this functionality is currently available in Audition. If not, I'll request it with Adobe. Thanks in advance!
Please read this blog before reinstalling a previous version, otherwise, you might mistakenly uninstall the current version of Audition installed on your computer. To reinstall the previous versions of Adobe Audition, follow these steps:1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop application.2. Click the Apps tab.3. Under MY APPS & SERVICES, click INSTALLED APPS4. Find Audition in the list of installed apps and click the drop-down arrow on the right side of Open.5. Click Other Versions & choose the previous version of Audition that you want to install on your computer.NOTE: Starting October 2017, Adobe Creative Cloud has moved to native OS support for Dolby Digital decoding (reading Dolby files) and no longer provides support for encoding (writing) Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus sound formats in the current and future releases of Creative Cloud. Due to a change in licensing agreement with one of our vendors, the following versions of Audition are not available for download:Audition
Ok, hello everyone. I have an issue here, I have a Scarlett 6i6 interface and I´ve just connected 2 microphones at the front channels and 1 at the back to record with the 3 of them at the same time, but Audition only recognizes the 2 channels from the front. What can I do to enable the channels from the back part of the interface? I´m really worried because I have a lot of work to do now.I hope you can help me as soon as possible.Thankyou,Gabriel
Hi all,Is there a way to have more than one clip selected and then delete all of the clip effects associated with each individual clip in one go?What seems to happen quite a lot is that I'll be adding the 'Volume' effect in Premiere Pro, if audio levels in a clip is too low. That's all good, however, once I import a Premiere Pro sequence containing a lot of these clips into Audition, it always comes up with an error message, as the 'Volume' effect isn't supported natively by Audition. In Premiere Pro, there is a command that wipes all effects off a selected number of clips, however, I can't seem to find this for Audition. Could somebody point me into the right direction? That'd be great.
Folks,I'd like to get better concert recordings with a device phone. Can anyone suggest what the technique might be? I guesswe can buy a supplemental microphone that plugs rightinto the phone jack, except when you dont have a phone jack.Anyone there with experience?I am not looking for bootleg quality, just usable. Most built-inmics seem to have NO bass response. My NikonD800 can do it well, but it's hard to get that in. ThanksSteve Zee
*quick disclaimer*I'm super new to Audition, and have only just started using it. So I'm totally open to suggestions and alternate ways of accomplishing what I'm doing!Alright, so here's what I'm trying to do.I have a super old audiobook that's split into several tracks (mp3 files), and I want to combine into one single file.I've figured out how to do this by importing all in Audition, selecting all, and adding to multitrack mixdown. Then I export that to mp3.The bitrate of the source files is 32Kbps, but when I export from mm I can't go below 96Kbps.I found if I do "Mixdown session to new file", and then export file, I can go down to 32 (and beyond), but that takes a really long time, and I feel like there must be another way..How can I do this better?Or is the a simpler way to just merge the files? Thanks in advance!-Shaun
I just recently upgraded my mic to a Rode NT1 and got Adobe Audition to mess around with and record some simple guitar and vocals. When I record audio using an online recorder or just hear the preview from the audio interface, the sound is perfect. Whenever I arm to record and record something in Audition (multitrack) and then play it back, it sounds somewhat metallic. This happens with the guitar and vocals. Another way I can describe the odd sound is it sort of sounds like when you use the adaptive noise reduction and as soon as you play it back it sounds like your audio is coming out of a cardboard box but not as dramatic. Is there a setting that comes naturally that I need to adjust?
Hi Guys! I just downloaded Audition. I'm running:AMD Phenom 2 X4 965 Processor 3.4ghz8 gb RAMWindows 7 Home 64 bit500 GB HDI am only using Audition currently to edit audio files, that are about 40-60 minutes long. When I switch to centered auto scrolling the view is extremely choppy, but when i just edit audio normally it functions pretty ok. Are there settings that I can use to have this run more optimized???Thanks in advance!
Hi - I love the Multitrack template for DJ Drops/Broadcast in Adobe Audition but I'd like to know if anyone would like to share some other templates for DJ Drops or broadcasting? Can't seem to find anyone anywhere.
As a long-time user of iZotope Ozone I yesterday received the message that Ozone 8 is now released. I have downloaded the trial version and installed it. I did notice that the product page does not list AA as being a compatible host. However, the installation appeared to proceed "normally" and an initial use of it within AA CC 10.1.1.11 showed both the VST and VST3 versions to be listed and hence, presumably, available. However, I have opened AA this morning and ALL the Ozone 8 VST3s are no longer listed. To be clear, all the VST modules seem to be present but not the VST3s. I guess this question is aimed primarily at SteveG or ryclark, but does anyone know why this should be? As a matter of interest, also, is there any "obvious" reason why Ozone 8 should not be compatible with AA, given that every prior version of Ozone that I have owned/used has worked flawlessly in various versions of AA?TIA.
Hi there,So I recently upgraded to Audition 2018, and I'm having a slight issue with the Input Monitoring on Multitrack.Specifically I can hear the input through my output (headphones) irrespective of whether I press the 'I' Input button next to the 'R' Record button, or not. It's also got quite a large delay on it now, which is annoying, but as I generally monitor through my pre-amp, rather than through Audition, that's not a huge issue for the time being. However, it there a way to ensure that it only monitors the Input when the 'I' button is activated, rather than all the time? Is anyone else having this issue? Thanks!Ed
Tengo Adobe Audition 3.0. Se desconfiguraron el Central channel extractor y los ecualizadores. Me sale la leyenda "extract" y no es posible contar con las opciones de vocal remover. ¿Alguien me puede asesorar?.Gracias.Tony.
Hey,I'm here asking you guys for help. I've recorded a video of me playing a game but the mic volume is low compared to the game volume. Is there any way to make it sound louder without messing with the game volume, and if yes, can any of you explain me how to do that? Thanks
When I record with the microphone, anytime that I open up any other window, the recording just stops immediately on it's own. Can someone please tell me what the purpose is for this? I have scripts that I have to read for narrations and other productions, and I can't do it without being able to look at the text as I record in audition. These texts are .txt files. So how do I change it so that audition keeps recording until I actually press stop?
I'm trying to edit a sequence from premier pro in Audition. When I export the sequence, Audition opens but the project itself does not. It creates an interchange folder with all the source files but there is no actual file for the new Audition project. Please advise!
Hi guys,i am testing the Audition cc2018 butr i cannot get it te record System sounds.i have a win 10 machine and the Stereo mixer was downloaded and installed. But i cannot set this as an Input in Multi track sessions combined with the Presonus AudioBox USB 96 I have also installed.I tried MME, ASIO and Wasapi.Would somebody please be so Kind and assist me with thiss issue? My Goal is to produce a Podcast where there is a seperate track for me and basically System Audio as most interviews will be done via Skype. Please find also Screenshots attached. Allthough they are in german, i think you guys know what this is aboutThanks for your help in advance
Newbie question here. I've watched several videos on compression and match loundness. Sometimes what I try works, others not. I'm having a really hard time leveling the sound of my latest interview. I use ecamm to record my Skype interviews. For some reason on the last one, if you look at the wave form, it looks like I'm speaking more quietly than my interviewee. However, if you actually listen to the audio, I sound louder than my guest so I'm not sure why my wave levels look lower. It seems like I can't balance out the sound if it appears I'm speaking quietly when I'm not. Any thoughts? I'm using a Blue Yeti mic and when I record solo I don't have any issues. And, actually, usually, I do sound more quiet than the person on the other side of the interview, so I'm not sure what happened today, but I'd love to learn how to fix this. Thank you for your thoughtful comments PS I really like Jason Levine's videos on YouTube and would love to hear more Audio 101 tutorial suggestions.
Hi guys! Anybody know a good, safe, and legal music tracker for making 8 bit video game music? What do you guys think of OpenMPT?
So when I export a sequence from Premiere to Audition, the Speed/Rate of audio clips gets ignored (see above how the audio clip selected is the proper length in Audition, but the sound waves aren't stretched as they are in Premiere below). Only workaround I've found is to Render and Replace all stretched audio in Premiere before exporting. Has anyone else run into this issue or found any workarounds? I'm used to exporting audio with handles for my audio tech which is why I'm asking. Thanks!

Here's a question for the old timers.Cool Edit 2000 originally presented a warning about "Saving in a Lossy format" if one tried to save an edited file in MP3 format. There was also an optional check box: "Don't show this warning again." Years ago I checked the box. Now I want the warning back. How do I do it?Jerry
Hi guys! I was trying to turn an mp3 file and a wave file into an atari video game style music in Adobe Audition. I did this by lowering the bitrate to 8 bit and the sample rate to 16000, but it didn't work. It was still the same. The only difference is that I hear a noise in the music's background. How can I turn the music into an atari style music? Please help me!
I'm having issues with AA. I'm recording my bands practices with 1 mic. I record in multitrack & after a certain amount of time recording stops (different end point each time). I disable record button a on that track and move to another track to continue recording. Enable record button except it wont record or do anything. I have to exit out of AA and get back in just to be able to record again. Kinda annoying. Any idea? Thanks
