Audition

I downloaded the trial for Audition CC 2018 and can't get a recording to play back without skipping and pausing... basically acting like a scratched CD.  I spent over an hour with support rummaging through my PC, but he couldn't fix it.  My Audacity is having no issues at all.  I just think the Audition is a better program based on reviews and I would have loved to have at least been able to compare.  My trial is now over and I never got to actually try it.  Others have complained about this and I found no actual solutions.

I'm experiencing pops and crackles during playback. The pops and crackles are not recorded in the waveform.I'm using Windows 10 HP laptop, Apollo Twin USB interface

Hello,In both Audition CS5.5 and CS6, when the user inserts multiple files into a multitrack session, they are placed on multiple tracks. (As the help file says, "The files are inserted on separate tracks at the current time position"). Please change this to allow multiple files to be inserted onto a single track.I can understand the usefulness of the current behaviour in some scenarios, but there are other workflows in which the placement of multiple files on multiple tracks is a serious hindrance.E.g. In this thread, a user mentions needing to insert 10,000 individual files for dialogue editing and mixing.I also posted in that thread because my own workflow involves editing hundreds of individual files, which are single notes recorded for the production of virtual instruments.The reason why a "one-track multitrack" workflow is useful to me is that it allows great flexibility in processing multiple files individually or at once, comparing them, adding markers, fades, etc. It would als

I love the idea of autoducking. I am testing it, with a dialogue and a music track, I think I set everything to the spec. But... I can see the dotted line to show the ducking (so it is calculating it perfectly well) but it is not affecting the output level of the music track at all. It just calculates it, as it should, but no change in the music volume is heard. Any ideas why? I tried to change sensitivity, reduce by, and fades settings and everything works as expected, just... it does not.I've noticed that the music clip was a .wav file with Remix not enabled and that was affecting processing (hey, I am new!) but after enabling Remix, no luck either. When I arm the adobe audition to record i get a fuzzy echo when I talk.  It doesn't record that way but its hard to listen over the headphones and record. Help!

Hello.  When I do my recordings, I always have to go back and delete the first .2 seconds or so of audio, because I always hear my mouse click.  Is there a way to delay the effect of recording by .2 seconds or so, that way I do not have to go back and fix this each time?Thanks!

Today I updated to Audition CC 2018. I immediately ran into problems with my recorded Favorites and their associated keyboard shortcuts.I am on a Mac so YMMV ))In my workflow I normally select a 'hot' section of audio and in order to calm it, run my keyboard shortcut: [Command+Option+Control+num3]. IOW three modifiers and the numeral 3 key of the keypad. To raise a quiet piece of slected audio, I would type: [Command+Control+num3]. This suits me and is deeply ingrained in motor memory having used it for years many, many times a day. These Favorites were indeed recorded when I was a younger man some years ago. They are now useless.Audition CC 2018 gives me an error message that the effect cannot be applied to the selection OR file. GRRRRRAfter much fiddling around with recording new Favorites, I find that the actual selection's position within the file is recorded in addition to the audio adjustment (Effect). Irony alert. When I bring in a clip, such as a long video file with audio, it always wants to save a copy of the file somewhere.  Audition used to just keep the file where it was and I didn't have to save or copy it anywhere.How to I stop audition from creating a copy of every file I bring into the timeline?  I just want the file to live where it is without a copy.Some of these files are huge sizes and with every new project all of these copies are destroying my drive space.  Plus, it's takes a while to constantly import a copy of these large files when I just want to save the multitrack session.Thanks for any information you may have.

Is there a way to increase playback speed of audio that keeps it still audible (when I use 'L' it sounds like a chipmunk). I've seen ways where you can shrink down the track so it plays faster, but I would like to keep the time stamps the same because I use the timestamps to mark key points within podcast episodes. It would be awesome if there was a spot to speed up playback by an amount you set (like 1.5, or anything else). Is there a way to do this without changing the timestamps?

I want the sound to change from 60 hz to 75 hz and gradually to 100 hz. But I want it to change smoothly. Is there a tool for that? Because EQ changes the whole sound but I want to create some key points.

Every time I try to enable remix on clip my audition crashes. It gets to analyzing and just shuts down.  I'm new to audition but completely frustrated. I tried to find the error logs but can't.  Windows 10, does it in both Audition 2017 & 2018. 

I've been using audition since it was cooledit. I recently upgraded to the new cloud based version and cannot find the noise generation function anywhere. Searching the web brought me here where the answer isEffects>generate>noise.There is no Effects>generate>noise.Was the generate noise function eliminated?

Leider habe ich auf den alten Rechner keinen Zugriff mehr, da die Festplatte komplett hinüber ist. Diesen Zustand hatte ich vor ein paar Jahren schon einmal und damals hat mir jemand vom Service über den Support geholfen. Leider finde ich dieses Servicetool nicht mehr. Ich wäre dankbar für einen guten Tipp, wie ich am besten weiter verfahre um die CS6 auf dem neuen Computer wieder zu aktivieren.Besten Dank in die Runde

I am trying to create a new multitrack session in Pr 2018, but it doesn't appear in the edit/new dropdown menu like I have seen in tutorials online, I have adobe audition installed on my computer, but want to do this directly in Pr. Can any one solve this issue?

Does anyone know how to use virtual cart machines, like SoundByte, with Audition for podcasts? The podcast template allows for adding in different music and sound effects as separate tracks. But I want to fire the elements in real time and be able to listen through my headphones in real time--just like radio.

I have video only file that I want to add audio to inside of Audition. Is there a way to combine the two and save (export) the file as one unit (MP4 or other format).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...we must get punch and roll....This has added nearly 30% of time on to my sessions without punch and roll...I would hate to do it, but I can't continue to lose that amount of time for much longer and will have to move to a different DAW.Has anyone come up with a work around similar to Auto Hot Key for older versions of Audition?

Hi guys,I have a medium-large multi track session that I'm trying to bounce to a 96khz/24bit wav in order to start mastering it. When I play the session in Audition, all sounds well, but when I export as a Multitrack Mixdown, there is a high-volume repeating stuttering sound throughout most of the track.So far I've tried:deleting all instances of Full Reverb, other reverbs, and echo effectsexporting at 44.1/16transferring entire project to a different HDD (and an SSD)reinstalling AuditionWondering what to do next?Also to note: until about a week ago (maybe even before the recent update??) Hello CS6 Audition 5 users,Audition does not play any sound anymore! When loading the file (no matter which one) and the SPACE button then only sometimes plays the sound. He does not play anything, but crashes the program after a few seconds. I've used CS6 (Producion Premium) for many years now and I'm not sure what triggered it here. I have a recent Windows 7 Prof 64 bit. The funny thing is that when I play the sound file in Adobe Premiere that is wonderful. If I click the file but "Clip in Audition Edit", he opens the sound file, but it can not play. I have already reinstalled the audition, but the error is the same. I have no explanation for that. Is there someone who may know the error and has a solution? That would be helpful. Thank you.Mario.

I've reached a few dead-ends and need to edit the video in order to solve some audio problems. I'm trying to navigate how to export my progress into FCP 7 to be able to edit the video with my audio edits. Anyone have advice?Thanks! Cory

Summary: I downloaded Audition CC 2017 yesterday (previously, I was using CC 2014). It worked great. Today, after a couple hours of editing in Waveform view, "skip selection" suddenly stopped working.I am using a late-2015 iMac, 27" with Retina display, 24 MB RAM, 3T fusion drive. Sierra 10.12.1. After my most recent updating of Audition, I am using Audition 2017.0.1 release, build 10.0/1/8Here's what happens:1. I make a selection2. If "skip selection" is not chosen, the selecion plays back properly. (With or without "repeat selection")3. If "skip selection" IS chosen, when I press the spacebar, I hear a sound, the playback head starts to move (from the beginning of the selection, not from 3 (or however many) seconds before the selection, as it should. The playhead seems to jitter as it moves. And I hear no further sound.So far, here is what I have tried:1. Close all other applications2. Restart iMac3. Update Audition to the latest version.4. can I configure the automatic addition of id3tags to each file in the metadata panel? not in the batch process

I am not very good with the professional jargon so bear with me. I have a mp3 that I can put into audition just fine. But when I go to put it in multi track, it says that the sampling rate doesn't match. So when I click OK, which usually edits it so they match and I can edit the audio, it shows up as audio with no sound. it just shows a flat line with no sound. Why is this happening?
