Hello,I use audition 2017 on 2 different pc, one at work and one at homea particular effect (phone in essential audio) does not give at all the same rendering at home as at work.at home it seems to work well while at work this effect saturates thoroughly. Is this due to an audio card problem?audio cards are Realtek High Definition AudioThanks for those who may have an answer.
Trying to reinstall Audition (CS5.5) on another computer after other computer died, but it's not accepting the serial number from my license certificate. I think I remember hearing or reading somewhere that you first need to deactivate the software on one computer before trying to install it on another one. If that's the case, what can I do since the other computer crashed and there was no opportunity to deactivate Audition.Would greatly appreciate some help here!Jack (jwaters@salemhawaii.com)
If I copy the mono channel 1 to ch.2. But it still have flat in the orchestra performance. What can I do in Audition software to make it have an stereo sound like playing "gradually"fade in and fade out?
I'm using a Mackie Onyx 1620 mixer where all my mics are going through to an Audition project. It reads each individual microphone but not any adjustments I make through the mixer. For example, it doesn't read any EQ changes such as bass, treble, frequency, or even volume adjustments. The mixer reads it but Audition doesn't. Can I adjust the sound before they go into Audition? If so, how can I get Adobe Audition to read those changes? This is probably an easy answer but can't figure it out and can't find another post about this concern. IIf someone knows the trick or settings to use to make audition read the eq settings on my outside mixer, that'd be great.
Hello. I am looking for a workflow for editing a film. Not really a pro here. My sound guy sent me poly wave files of two labs and a stereo boom. I merged them in the project folder and then edited. Now I want to clean up the sound in Audition. What is the work flow? Should I send the merged files into Audition? Then how and more importantly where do I export them to have the changes go directly into the timeline? Is this possible. New to Audition, but i have a lot of clean up to do on this outside short. Thanks in advance![Moved from the non-technical Lounge Forum to the specific Program forum... Mod][Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome]
I filed a bug report on this, but I figured I'd post it here, as well. The FFT Filter now nukes the last channel in any clip that has more than two channels in it. This is a real annoyance for me, as batch-applying "Kill the Mic Rumble" is usually my first step in a film sound edit. Here are the steps to reproduce the bug:In the Waveform Editor, open a clip with more than two channels. Apply the FFT filterResults:As soon as the filter finishes processing, the highest numbered channel will become silenced. Waveform and spectral display will now be blank for that channel, and no sound will be audible from it.Expected Results:All channels should simply receive the application of the filter. None should end up silenced.Workarounds I can think of are:Split out to multiple mono files and apply the effect to eachIn the Multitrack Editor, use the filter in the effects rack, so that it doesn't have to be applied.Neither of these workarounds is a particularly good solution
I would like to keep my sounds organized. I am using an iMac as well as running Adobe Audition cc 2017. Will Audition allow me to keep all of my sounds and music organized much like Adobe Bridge does for images? If not, will Bridge do that? Thanks
Hi there !I'm a new user of Audition, and I have some trouble with the shortcuts.I'm working on a french version of Audition with a qwerty keyboard, so I had to reassign some shortcuts. It worked in the editing screen, the shortcuts were reassigned correctly, when I pressed the buttons it's highlighted, showing me the software knows which button is assigned to which shortcuts and link both informations. But when I'm working on waveform ou spectral analysis, three of them don't work : the one I put on Q, E and A. (Fade In, Fade Out, and Erase the selection)I thought the reason was a conflict between the qwerty keyboard and the french software, but I tried to map Erase on X, still doesn't work. It deselect my selection and put the read head (I don't know if it's the true english word, but you get it ) at the beginning of my now erased selection.Fade in and fade out just does nothing.Does anyone have a solution with that issue ?Have a nice day !
Dear readers,Recently I started working with Adobe Audition CC (AA) to make my radioreport. I am struggling to find a good workflow. Work I want:I have recorder about 100+ short audioclips. My audiodevice names these STM-001, STM-002, ect. these are all interviews, voiceovers, ect.To get started I organise my audio. Give parts of the fragment a name and a short subscription, (for example: speaker 1 "we cannot afford to build new houses"; speaker 2 "we need to build more houses"; Voice over 1: "problem with housing"; Voiceover 2: expensive houses", ect). Next I want to have all the selected fragments in one list. Now I can start building my reports in the multitracksession. The option I can find to do this in AA is with markers. But to see the markers I always need to go back to the waveform and look into all the original audioclips. I cannot find a way to put all the marked pieces into one list and open in while working in the multitrack window. An option is to export the all markers and
Hello, everyone.First, I am new here, so I might need guidance.I am a fan of a game called Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2, and I decided to mod it. Some of my units needs new voiceovers from voice actors, and some of them contributed to the mod.My question is, how do I make a Walkie-Talkie effect that is almost perfect like the game does? Here is examples of voiceovers with walkie-talkie effect that the Game use:idesmod.waviconmob.wav igisee.wav Here is an example of a voiceover for a unit in my mod with no filters (RAW), voiceover by https://www.georgeexley.com/ Invader - Select 1.mp3 I have tried methods, but I can't give even a similar fashion. Hoping more in this community to help me.
Installed new Marantz Pod Pack 1 and followed on-screen set-up prompts. Audition recognized the mic and was able to record without issue our of the gate so to speak. Playback however was not the desired result as it sounded hollow and without depth if that makes sense. Struggling to believe it's a mic quality issue as there are many positive reviews online pertaining to the Pod Pack. I'm going to guess I'm missing something in the settings or such. Any coaching here would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for taking a moment to share your expertise.Kevin
I'm a sound engineer, mostly working in the UK TV sector (BBC etc). Next week I need to work in some studios which use Adobe Audition. It's a long time since I used Audition so I figured on downloading a demo version to refresh my memory. However, this studio is still running ver5.5.I tried to find a demo product on Adobe's web site and realised that Audition seems to be up to ver10 now. So I'm assuming that a ver10 demo won't have much in common any more with ver5.5.Is there anywhere where I can obtain older demos (e.g. 5.5)? Or are the basics still pretty much the same?
I've tried several times to import a saved workspace into Audtion CC (version 10), both on PC and Mac. I always get a "successfully imported" message but the workspace does not show up. What might the problem be?
While trying to re- install Audition CS6 after a HDD crash I got the following message. " Your serial number has been revoked. Contact Customer Support."Customer support didn't help and sent me here. Any answers out there?Denny D.
During a live session I am having the connection between my Midas M32 and Audition is lost. The recording stops and displays a message the the device list has changed. I have to usually relaunch Audition and reset the inputs for the daw ... re arm the channels and then return to recording... It is happening several times during the session after updating to Audition 2017 on the Mac. Please help!
So i have this simple sound which i want to extend out to give it a future bass vibe. So is there any way which will allow me to stretch out the track and still making it sound normal? I don't want to slow-mo it because it will mess up the sound. SO kind of like a fade-out effect that doesn't fade out for a bit longer, hence increasing the duration of the track.if there are any questions you need to ask me regarding this issue to make it clearer, please do. Thanks
I cannot find an Auto Gain effect in Audition? Some of my other wave editors do have this, but they don't have adjustments or presets. Probably an over-glorified compressor of some sort. In Audition, I only see Dynamics Processing, Multiband Compressor, Single Band Compressor, Gain Envelope. Which of these is the best to use to get the same effect?
I have recorded a Skype video, and one of the speakers talked at a very low volume. I ran the Multiband Compressor in Adobe Audition on the audio, with the preset of "Broadcast" chosen, and was impressed that it brought up the volume and somewhat "Normalized" the audio. But I really need to go through and raise the levels in every area where the one speaker is speaking. The wave form looks like this for the audio:See wave form hereSo it is very obvious which sections need the volume increased. I have to do this many times over a very long audio track. Is there some way to do this fast, highlight the areas all at once? Perhaps do the opposite, and bring down the audio that's too loud, by somehow cleverly highlighting is all and lowering it? Then later bringing the volume up on all of it?I hope I have at least explained it well enough to be able to get some help.Or is there more I should have done with the multiband compressor? I played around a lot with the numbers while previewing the a
[Moderator moved from The Lounge to Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC.]I'm using Adobe Audition cs6. I can only use 1 channel input on my Focusrite Scarlet 212 and my Behringer 404HD. Both have multiple microphone inputs however Adobe only picks up the 1st mic input. I thought it was only the Behringer 404HD then I tried the Scarlet 212 and it still only picked up the first channel. This issue leads me to believe that the issue is a setting in the software that maybe i need to adjust. Any suggestions on what this issue could be?

Hi folks.During a project I'm working on, I have a slow autopan that only needs to be applied to a music bed at certain times, based on when there is a silence longer than 4 seconds in the voiceover track, and then returning to central panning when the voiceover resumes. It needs to do this smoothly, with no obvious jump in the panning. The easiest way for me to do this would be to have the effect in the effects rack of the music bed permanently and then automate the wet/dry of the effects rack, or the individual effect when required. But I can't see any way to automate effects or plot any evolution of effects properties.I could achieve this result pretty easily in Ableton but I'd rather keep the whole project in Audition. Does anyone have any ideas how I can accomplish this? As I was writing this I thought maybe I could sidechain the autopan in some way - but I'm not sure what I would sidechain it to! Although the autopan is only required when there is a silence of mo
Hello community!Im having this problem when I open in Audition the OMF created on Premiere.I've set the clips on green so you can see whats happening. Those clips was originally being played normally on Premiere. They were not muted or had the volume set to low. I dont know why but when I import the OMF the volume keyframes are set to -∞ ! Sometimes it happens with isolated clips, sometimes with the entire track. Since is very annoying setting all keyframes back to zero clip by clip, I have 2 questions:1) Why is this happening? There is some way to avoid this to happen?2) There is some way to set all clips keyframes set to zero at once? (I saw some post saying about export a XML and import it again and actually it worked, but i noticed all clips moved a bit, wich would give me another work to set them all back to the right place to keep the sync. So thats not an option to me.)Thank you very much for the attention and hope someone can help me.Hugs!
I have recently set up audition to use my mixer (Behringer u-phoria umc404) to record 4 separate tracks simultaneously for a podcast. This works great but upon reviewing the tracks, the mics have created an echo with the voice of one person bleeding into another track. My question is this: is there an easier way to mute those sections and get rid of the echo other than manually picking clips here and there and dropping the volume?I have tried to look for answers but didn't find any for this particular issue. Also, my skill level with audition is novice so i may have easily overlooked something. Thanks in advance!
