Hello! I have a 5.1 project. I use some stereo sound effects on the mono track to make it sound from the center channel. The analyzer shows that now it is mono. But what about downmix 5.1 to stereo? In this case, will the stereo fx on the mono track remain mono or as a source in stereo? Thank you!
Hi folksOut of my area of expertise, so I am looking for an expert to help me create an effect preset for reasonable fee, which I will be able to apply to all my voice recordings. What I am looking for is following preset:- Clean up noise and hisses- Create smooth vocalIf you are up to the task please contact me via pm and I will provide you with short wav file on which the effect preset can be built on.RegardsH
Hi peeps, Just trying to see if I'm overlooking something really simple, but since updating (not sure from which version I noticed it gone) I can no longer automate the clip volume in the clip itself. I use this feature waaaay more than the track automation and I'm totally lost without it. Searched everywhere for an answer but no one seems to have mentioned it? Cheers
Hi Folks!I've just had a discussion on the phone with a support representative that I could barely understand, and after originally asking me to re-re-install Audition (Again), he effectively decreed that the use of Multitrack Sessions are not supported by Adobe.Audition destabilizes into uselessness and eventually fully crashes in the event that Dynamics Processing is used as a Noise Gate on a track effect or a Master effect on a Multitrack Session for an extended amount of time (Several hours). After finally tracking down that this is the specific contributor to the crashing, I was advised that it should only be used for short file processing and not for Multitrack Sessions because the use is not supported. Are we in a situation here where hundreds or thousands of people using this for real time audio processing are going to have to find an alternate software package, or is this just a support agent who didn't want to do his job and provide support? If it's the latter, then how can I g
Hello,My Audition, CS5.5 crashed when I try to record on my Macbook Pro. It opens, but I when I try to record, it crashes. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Also, I no longer have the activation codes. Thanks,Gene
Hello there,This topic is always covered when it comes to converting one clip from stereo to dual mono. But what do you do when you have an edited scene with LOTS of clips cut together? I am looking at a timeline for an edited scene that was a 2-camera shoot, and each camera having 2 channel audio. So I have a total of four separate audio tracks I need to get into mono. The point is, the only way I currently understand to get these files to mono is to take them one by one into the waveform editor. There's got to be a better way? It's super easy in Premiere to grab a whole track worth of stereo audio clips, duplicate them, and then have one be L channel and one be R channel (and mono, with Fill Left/Right...), all while retaining my edits (crossfades, etc.) Premiere obviously lacks some of the detail and noise reduction that you can get out of Audition (from my understanding, anyway. I'm pretty Premiere savvy, not so much in Audition, although I can do noise reduction, use the frequency
hello - i have a microphone that is connected to a phantom power supply via traditional xlr and then an xlr to usb cord going into my windows surface/adobe audition ( also tried a regular voice recording software to ensure it wasn't an audition issue) although i get the input loud and cleaer there is a high pitched "squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" in the background and it's highly audible. i changed out the cords and power supply and it didn't work. i also tried adjusting the input on my PC recording device settings but it just adjusts the input overall not and doesn't remove the tinny sound. any other ideas as to what could be causing this?
So i have two file. A full song with vocal and background music, and instrumental from that song. The question is i want to remove the background music from that instrumental.Adobe Audition CC 2017Sorry for bad english. Thanks you.
Hi folks,I own a Mackie ProFX8V2 and tried to set it up with Audition and Premiere Pro (latest CC versions). Unfortunately, I have no idea how. I read the official guidelines on how to set up external fader controllers but this hasn't been working so far. I added "Mackie" to the devices, then went into settings, but there was no "midi-device" detected. I know that the mic that is connected to my Mackie is detected since I can record sound from it directly to Audition and Premiere Pro.Is the Mackie ProFX8V2 not fully compatible? Or did I just set it up incorrectly?
Hello!I had a frequently used Adobe Audition CS6 installed on old iMac running OS 10.7.I just bought a new iMac with Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra, and then I installed Adobe Audition CS6 from installation disc with product key. Upon opening the application, I get a message window with, "Your application install appears to be damaged. Please reinstall the application." After reinstalling the application, I get the same message. I ran the available updates from Adobe on the program, and the message still appears each time I open the program. So, I opened Adobe Audition again and imported an audio file to the editor and started fooling with the file. I played and stopped and deleted and copied and pasted, and all seemed to happen as expected and worked just fine.Nothing is crashing and all seems to be okay. I always keep back-ups of original files just in case something bad happens or I do some stupid sound editing and have to get back to the original.Should I just ignore the message upon open
So I recently have gotten Audition CC 2017 so have no idea what I am doing. I opened up a video I have recorded and I record 3 separate audio tracks, one for voice, voice program, and desktop audio sounds. I use Vegas Pro for editing and set up the audio button. In Vegas I see 3 tracks like I am supposed to, but than I open it in Aud. and there are twice as much. I put those into a Multitrack session so they are correct but now when I try to export the session they are eithor downmixed to a single track or it exports all left and right separately. How could I export each Aud. Multitrack track separately?
Total noob to Audition so sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm trying to apply effects to tracks and sidechain using sends. There are buttons for effects and sends, but they do not show the relevant controls on each track. See my system below: I am expecting to see something like this (screenshot found elsewhere): Any ideas what I'm missing? Thanks.
Hey all, I'm having some issues with trying to get dynamics to work in Adobe Audition and i'm probably doing the wrong thing!I cut up interview segments in Premiere Pro and export into Audition so my Dialogue track in Audition is compromised of about 20 short audio clips. My previous workflow was to stay in the Multitrack editor and then use the Essential Sound Panel to Match Loudness and use Dynamics (setting it to about 3.1) and set the audio to 'Vocal Presence'. However, the audio clips as soon as Dynamics is used. I'm not sure how to combat this.I tried a new workflow that i found here: How To Make Your Voice Sound Better (Secrets Revealed) - YouTube However, in that tutorial, the Waveform view is used to add the effects, like Normalise etc. The problem for me is, I have about 20 audio clips that compromise that short piece-to-camera interview, so does that mean i need to go through all 20x clips in the waveform manager and add compression, normalise etc. Won't that also mean that a
Hello,I am having a problem with Adobe Audition CS6, I can't play anything no more. The play button lights in green when I click on it but it doesn't play any sound and the curseur doesn't move at all...Any idea about help ?Thank you
Very often I log into Adobe forums to report some glaring problem, and then battle the apologist or two who swoops in to defend utterly defective design or functionality. Sometimes, even Adobe representatives will defend such.Today, however, I want to report some decidedly good results. For years, I've turned to Sound Forge for any kind of serious audio work, especially noise reduction. The Mac version is a bug-riddled disgrace, so this means launching a Windows VM under Fusion and doing my work in Sound Forge there.I recently shot an interview with someone who had a noisy appliance running in her apartment that couldn't be turned off. Sound Forge's NR proved to be surprisingly ineffective in another recent similar situation, so for the hell of it I fired up Audition to see what NR options it offered. Sure enough, it has noiseprint capture and subtraction, so I gave it a shot.Right out of the box, the results were far better than I was able to achieve with Sound Forge
Hi. This vital feature has stopped working for me, for mulitiple projects. Everytime I initiate, I am hit with the message:"A previous session of Audition quit unexpectedly. You may continue the session now, delete it, or cancel to continue the session at another time."Whether I Cancel, Delete, or Continue doesn't help. It either immediately crashes, or, lets me thru, but in an Audition setup that has my Premiere audio but not as a single multitracked session ... all just single files, just loaded up, not as an integrated project/session. If I click "Multitrack", it crashes.I have deleted my caches and I think any old Audition projects / sessions.Help?
How come Audition does not have these time lines? Can I activate them somehow?Wouldn't it be better like this? (illustration)
So its exactly what it sounds like. When I am in a full screen application like a game and I am recording my voice for later editing, if I tab out of the game, there is a split second where drivers for video need to swap back to the normal desktop. In these moments its almost like my voice skips in and out, and the overall recording becomes shorter than what it was supposed to be, like audition froze the audio recording in place while focus was swapping between apps.Distortion I can handle, its nothing bad, its the fact that my recording is off time. This makes post editing a pain because usually I'll just clap sync with a video of myself at the start, and sometimes my streams last for 4 hours plus. One recording ended up being nearly 10 minutes shorter than what it should have been and audio was drastically off from the video.Any ideas?
Hi,I need to pick up a USB audio interface so I can record audio (digital piano and occasionally voice) directly into Audition. I suppose I could use the PC's audio in/mic jack in but I'd prefer to use a USB interface connected to Line Out on the piano. At this point I'll only need two inputs (1/8" L & R aux out ports on the piano) to USB on the PC. The PC supports USB 2.0 and 3.0, runs Windows 10 64-bit, has an Intel Core i7 @ 2.4GHz, 8G RAM, 4T storage. An XLR input would be a plus.Thanks.Rich
Hi,I have a Yamaha P255 digital piano. It outputs WAV files directly, 16-bit, 44.1kHz.I recorded a rhythm track on the P2155 and imported the WAV into Audition, Multitrack. Then I played that track back on the PC while I recorded an overdub on the P255. Next, I imported that WAV into Audition as a new stereo track. The two tracks are perfectly aligned in terms of the start time. But when I play them back, the second track starts to drift after a few bars. How do I synchronize these tracks? And why aren't they synchronized in the first place? They're the same sample rate, recorded on the same device.Thanks.Rich
Hi Adobe,At the moment I record in the following:Sample Rate : 44100Channels : MonoBit Depth: 16and when transfering this wav file to mp3, it is in MP3 192 Kbps CBRI have a customer that asked for a better quality mp3 audio, and I was wondering how I would make an mp3 to one of the better levels of quality such as 256 or 320.Any helps is much appreciated and apologies if this is a terrible question, I'm not the most tech savvy individual! All the best,-Christian
I am trying to work in Audition CC, but do not seem to have the Remix button as an option. Can anyone suggest why?
I am having a hard time understanding exactly what some of the stuff in D.P. means. Here are some of the screen shots I took to give you an example to base my query on. Can some explain what the vertical and horizontal lines mean in the graph? Also, a little of what the settings do? I found several things on line explaining what D.P. is, but nothing breaking down the graph/ and how the settings translate for audition. I also included a shot of my unedited track so you know what it looks like from the get.I would love to email someone a audio file of my show if they'd like to inspect raw file it's self to give me and idea of what I should be focusing on doing for future reference.PS. All of the questions I've had that have been answered have really helped me learn new things consistently, and I thank you guys/gals a lot!!
Hi. Im trying to get Audition 3.0 to record on windows 7. When I hit record I get a message that DirectSound is chosen and I would do better using and selecting a ASIO driver. There is no ASIO driver listed. When I installed ASIO4ALL still no dice.It must be something simple I am doing wrong. Can anyone help? Thanks,Dave
I was sent WAV files from two different sources, some are 16-bit depth, others are 24-bit depth. I have to edit them together in a multitrack session to make it sound like two people are talking to each other.I don't know much about Audition. Is that going to be a problem for any reason? Thanks.
