I am using Adobe Audition for the first time and am having a problem making a simple audio recording. As you can see, after recording for about 40 seconds doesn't even give me one second of audio. My mics and playback devices are working with other programs but Audition cannot pick up anything.
I have a mono track panned 100% to the left chanel. The track then clips (see red indicator). Why doesn't the left master out chanel clip? (I have reset the indicators on both track & output chanels to confirm...)
HiI have the sound of a meeting (attached a little portion of it) which seems to me to be clipping but when analysing it in Audtion it shows no clipping problems. I don't know the namd of this distortion but need to fix it.When exporting the same audio by Premiere Pro in some computers you don't even hear the sound and there's a weird sound.1- How could I analyse it?2- What's this problem name?3- How should I fix it?Best
It won't even let me click the record button on multi-track. I checked my microphones and everything is good. At times the record button will work but still doesn't record or show the sound waves.
Hi, I have an interview audio file that I have edited and added some noise reduction etc, and hit save. However, the audio had turned out muddy and I want to change what I originally did. However it seems like because I hit save, all my history on the file is gone. I still have the original file outside of audition, but I don't want to have to cut the whole file again. How do I revert the file back to its original state on all the cut files?
After the last update, Audition has become completely impossible for me to work with. It has become incredibly heavy, it takes a very long time to be allowed to move sound clips on the tracks, as it has to think a lot. And when I have worked for about half an hour, it goes completely wrong. Suddenly I can't mark anything, and when I try, the message "Audition encountered an error" pops up. After that, all the menus are gone and I have to close it all down and start them up again. It happens every time I've worked for half an hour in Audition. Since my primary work is with Audition, this means that I am up to having to restart Auditon 12-16 times a day. On the whole, I find that Audition seems worse and worse with each update. Is there anything at all that can explain to me what is going on or say something about it? It's insanely frustrating.
I run ProTools Studio for recording / mixing as well as utilize Adobe Audition for mastering (Isotope Suite) on a PC running Windows 11. I also run Sonarworks on a systemwide setting as well as the ASIO Sonarworks setting in Audition. The problem is intermittent where when exiting Audition, Sonarworks crashes, and I end up having to reboot the computer to get Sonarworks to run properly (a reboot of the program Sonarworks after said crash then runs wrong - so a system boot is necessary to correct the issue). Not sure if the bug is on Audition's side or Sonarworks side. It is problematic and hinders my work flow to a certain degree. Anyone else running into this problem with a similar setup? I use Audition on a very basic level. I import multiple voice recording files from an SD card, tidy them up a bit & then upload to We Transfer to send to customers. Lately I am having problems where the odd file in the batch, seems to become corrupted (see attached sound clip) This is happening when I export it from Audition to my computer (the original file on the SD card plays fine) I believe I may have accidentally changed by export settings previously, which might explain it. Can anyone advise if these settings are OK for a simple set of voice recordings? Thank you.
Hello I am not sure how to explain this, and it's happened to every adobe version I've had, and it seems to be getting worse. I have followed multiple forums here, and it's still happening, so I figured I better post something. When you are recording or playback in editor waveform, it lags even on playback. The audio doesn't match up. I do a lot of restoring old vinyl, so the audio always as to match for me. I am using a presonus studio 68c in asio mode buffer rate of 1024 sample rate or 4100.
When recording I have been having consistent "stuttering" while recording. I have my DAW hooked up to an XLR mic (through an audio interface of course), but the problem also persists when only using my built-in microphone lap top with nothing else attached. When I would record in another DAW, such as Audacity, the recording is successful and I do not experience any stuttering. Here are my specs:- Intel 13th Gen i7- 16 GB RAM- 1 TB nvme- Windows 11 (Fully Patched) When I am recording, I have the same issue recording in WAV form and in Multi-Track (I have had more success with not stuttering with Multi-Track, which is consistent to the other community inquiries). I have tried reducing the latency to 120, we ensured I was recording in Mono with a sample rate of 48000, with a Bit Depth Rate of 16, but I have had no luck. I am lucky to get maybe one recording in five that is "stutter" free. While recording, my CPU levels are consistently below 10% usage. RAM levels are right at 35%
i haven't seen this reported anywhere elsewhere so it seams like I'm an edge case, but essentially Audition for me is acting like programs do when your CPU is taxed 100%. The whole program is just extremely laggy, the whole window takes ages to move then I try to drag it around, it takes a long time to open effect windows, the playhead is laggy, ect... It's worth stating that my PC is pretty overpowered for Audition so there shouldn't be any issues like this and there weren't any before. It's just acting like my PC is working too hard but it's not, i have no idea why this would happen besides some weird bug.
When I select all my tracks and select Export->Multitrack Mixdown->Selected Clips... it takes me to a dialog to select how I want to store it. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what format I choose, nothing is exported! This is critical for my podcast. Do you know what I can do? I'm running Version 24 on a MacBook Air M1 running Sequoia 15.1.
Everytime I load up the adobe site and try to access audition it simply says it is not compatible with my system, even though I more than meet the requirements. My specs are listed below, perhaps I am missing something? Processor - Intel i7-9700k OS - windows 11 version 23H2Memory - 16 gb of RAM available GPU - NVIDIA 3060 with 19 gb of memory available storage - 170 gb available display - 1920 x 1080 monitor sound card - ASIO 2.15 downloaded Network - Ethernet connected
Hi Everyone,I have some clips with audio that has been blasted / harsh. I am attaching an audio sample for preview. I'm not a pro audio editor and struggling to restore the audio. Any tips will appreciated. Thanks!
Hallo Leute!
Why does the same transcription feature from Premiere Pro not exist in Audition? This would be a game-changer for anyone who uses Audition for making podcasts or radio stories.
I'm having a v annoying problem with audition. When I hit record the volume bar shows an inital spike, and then drops off. Nothing is recorded except from a vague crack at the start, and the playhead jumps ~1s at a time. It also seems like what is recorded is a LOT shorter than what I try to record (if I record 10s of me talking, for example, Audition turns that into 2s of audio) I've tried different microphones (including my laptop default), all of which work on Audacity, but all have the same problem on Audition. I've tried in both waveform and multi-wave, but neither work. I've checked that the sample rate on preferences is the same as that of my microphone and it is. I'm stuck! Any advice/suggestions?
English:Hello, good evening, I have a podcast channel and I recently recorded a chapter but I forgot to turn off the secondary audio channels and it was recorded with an echo in my voice, the participant's voice did not happen at all, everything was fine.I would like to remove that echo or reverberation effect that can be heard. Does anyone know what tool I can use please?I have already used reverberation reduction and it still cannot be heard properly.
What do I do wrong currently? While working in multitrack mode and trying to move individual items, audition constantly opens that track. In preference settings I have this checbox, multitrack clips, bring clips to front, off! What elso can I do? There is no option for double click to open tracks. Thanks for reading and hopefully answering. Best René
Hello everyone, I use Adobe Audition 2022 Build 22.0.0.96 and as I made the problem clear in the title when I export a file as MP3 with 320 kbps quality via Audition, frequencies between 16 kHz and 20 kHz are cut off. this problem is independent of the source file. for example, when I export a FLAC file as MP3 this happens. When I edit a full frequencies range MP3 file (20 Hz - 20 kHz) and than export it this problem also happens too. The funny thing is that when I do the export process with Audacity which is a free and open source software, this problem does not happen. I tried the same experiment with other paid softwares such as Acoustica 7, iZotope Ozone 9, iZotope RX 9 Audio Editor, and as I mentioned, frequencies above 16 kHz are not cut like Audition in any of them. I think this problem is caused by Fraunhofer MP3 Encoder but I can't do anything to change it. Therefore I will try to find the solution by writing my problem here. I also want this problem to be seen by t
Hi thanks for taking the time to read.I'm using Audition with a Rodecaster Pro and downloaded ASIO4ALL as specificed in the Rode instructions: RCP_Multitrack_Guidelines_Audition_PC.pdf (rode.com) Using ASIO works fine to record multi-track however I can't listen back to the recording unless I switch to MME. How can I fix this? I saw a similar question asked in 2018 where the answer stated it's not possible - I wonder if things had changed 3 years later. Thanks
Just checking.. this still isn't posssible I'm guessing?
I have around 50 clips, some a few seconds and others one minute, from a number of recordings: one male and one female. I've run a 50Hz low pass filter across them, as well as a perceived loudness (legacy) which has helped get the loudness levels right. However, the male voice carries a lot more bass so, compared to the female voice, it doesn't appear to deliver the higher frequencies and annunciation gets lost in the lower frequencies. I have tried Vocal Enhancer under parametric equaliser to cut more lower frequencies and lift the upper ones but this is subtle. When comparing the two they still sound distinctly different. Is there a way of batch processing all clips so that the graphics are equalised? That is, the lower frequencies of the male match those of the female? TIA
I Know I'm not the first to say this, but definitely been a while since this question was addressed.I do alot of voiceover reads that come in all shapes and sizes, but most of the time it's just text on screen copied from a web page, as well as scratch and professional reads for work using transcripts, srt's, google docs, pdf's, etc. I realize that audition is an audio only workflow, as I've read in other forums, but why can't there be a simple text only window added to the (window) menu where you can copy/paste or input text into a field? Having to switch back and forth between pages while reading, or collapsing and expanding windows is kind of a pain, and yes, I have a dual monitor but the angles of my monitor vs where my mic is positioned isn't always in favor of that technique if I'm reading, or standing away from my desktop. Likewise scrolling while you read a document in another window can be distracting to the content you are making, and I prefer not to have to jup back and
