Audition

Please help. I have a multitrack session in which I add clip markers (M). The markers appear in the Markers panel. The markers do not appear on the clip.  The problem seems specific to my multitrack session—if I start a new multitrack session, import a file, and add clip markers, they appear in both the panel and on the clip. Did I inadvertently disable the display of clip markers? Am I not understanding some behavior of the Marker functionality? This has happened to me before...and I'd like it to stop happening now.Any insight, ideas, or answers are greatly appreciated.Thank you! 

Hello, I don't know what to do. My balance isn't working anymore. It doesn't matter if it's a mono or stereo audio file: If I turn the knob to R100, the clip just gets quieter instead of just playing on the right. On the left it's just normal volume. I tried it with a stereo track, with a mono track, with mono to stereo conversion, different headphones, all the same. What have I adjusted or am I doing wrong? Thanks,Piero(working with the latest version on Windows)

When I save a file under mp3 format and reload later Audtion is adding time to it, for example if it was 00:18.000 whe I open it again will be 00:18.076, any idea why is this? Thank you all in advance 

Check this out. (not funny)I have a audio file of 10 seconds in the multitrack. The file is selected. The result after "File > Multitrack Midown > Selected Clips" is a file that is 10 seconds and 160ms! The extra audio is just silence. Why is this? I would expect the files to have the same lenght?On the other hand when you first select the audio around the selected clip, the mixdown "File > Multitrack Midown > Time Selection" will be exactly 10s, as expected.Files that are created via a Selected Clips export commando should have the same lenght as the selected clips.Kind regards,Frank

I have about a hundred wav files where I need to cut out the beginning and end of the file (for example, see the linked image; keep everything inside the two markers, delete everything else). Every single file is different, so I would like to set up two shortcuts that will delete everything to the right and to the left of the playhead (respectively). That way all I have to do is place the playhead, Delete Right shortcut, place the playhead, delete Left shortcut, done. Basically, I need a shortcut that will select to the end of the file (similar to Select Clips to End of Selected Track). Is this possible, and if so, how would I make these shortcuts?

Adobe Audition keeps freezing when switching between multitrack and file for a couple/few weeks. Anyone else experiencing this and have a solution to make it stop?

I need help asap please! anyone encountered this issue and fixed it? I have a file I recorded, in fact multiple files where I open them and the wav file is all there you can see the recording but large chunks and in some cases the entire file plays nothing. It's not my audio output it is the file itself. This is days of recrded work just gone.   

The issue I am facing is that: when plugging my headphones into my audio interface (behringer umc202hd) the computer sound will output into the headphones as desired, however when I go onto Adobe Audition the sound is cut out and is not outputted through the headphones despite having the correct outputs selected: I have tried going through forums, videos, and all kind that suggest going into sound settings on the computer and so on, but none of that has worked out. I am very confused as to why it will play the computer sound through the audio interface, but then cut out when I use Audition.

I record dialogue for animated cartoons on Audition v. 13.0.9.41 and sometimes have to pitch shift the character's dialogue track down one or two semi-tones using the Pitch Shift Rack Effect. However, when I play it with the pitch shifter, it sounds like the vocals on the pitch shifted track are quickly wobbling between the left and right stereo channels. This happens in Audition and persists after exporting via a multitrack mixdown. What's strange is that if I play it over and over again, the "wobbling" quality doesn't always occur at the same moments in the clips. Does anyone know what is going on and how to export this audio without the glitchy quality? Thanks! 

Hey everyone, just to clarify first, I've posted this question on the youtube help forum  and I have't gotten a response yet(maybe someone through here knows someone that has gone through the same issue as me and to let them know to respond to my question over there there by any case). Anyway, i hope I can get some type of help  through here in this forum since I use audtion to record.  But my issue is that  I've been uploading videos to my youtube channel for the past few months but I've noticed that with each uploaded video, the audio is lowered down than how I normally heard it when I was working on it on Premiere Pro/Audtion.   I've been researching for the past few weeks on why that happens and I know that the stats for nerds, it shows you the volume stats, but no matter what I change on the settings for LUFS on premiere/audtion or if I just raise the volume on the audio dbs, it always comes out low! I bought a Neuman TLM 103 Mic and a Focusrite Solo Gen 4. I have an IMac outside my studio connected to a monitor inside my studio. I can record in multitrack, but I don't know how to correct mistakes. I need to take sibilence out and rerecord. When I hit the track where I have recorded it goes to Waveform and if I try to delete anything it says something like, it will cause a problem with the recording. Can anyone help me with this? As of 2021, in Adobe Audition's Waveform editor,the "Insert" recording function has been incorporated into the Beta version,then in the following official versions. This function had been requested by the community working in voiceover.But many quickly realized that an essential element was missing from this new function. Early on it was mentioned to Adobe that this feature was completely useless if used with MARKERS and that this needed to be fixed. Indeed, even if in the preferences you choose NOT to lock the markers, they remain blocked when you use the "insert" function during recordings. In short, this “Insert” recording function, if used only once with markers, can therefore screw up an entire project.This is because all the markers are therefore instantly in the wrong place, given that they have not moved with the recording. We are now in 2023 and we still have the same issue.Markers are still blocked with the use of the "insert" function during recordin

Back when Audition version 23 came out, I upgraded. Two things were immediately apparent to me, that I did not like: The function of adding markers directly to clips from the multitrack view really interfered with my workflow. I kept accidentally writing markers to clips when I meant to write them to the session. I couldn’t find a way to easily distinguish what kind of maker I wanted to place without making sure I didn’t accidentally have a clip selected at the time. (Did anyone else have a problem with this? Or was it just me?)It was sluggish. Really sluggish. I tend to work with gigantic sessions full of hundreds of clips, and that makes Audition sluggish. But with version 23, it was way more sluggish than usual. (Version 24 was no better in this regard.) So I stuck with version 22 and have been happy enough with it since. Today I needed to reinstall Audition (for reasons). I was heartbroken when I went to Creative Cloud, went to “Other versions,” and saw that Audition (23.

On a Mac Ventura 13.6.7 M2 Studio. I keep getting a stuck screen on AuUI,  sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesnt so random. I was told by tech support that a midi device is causing this but then which midi device is it? I have 37 hardware synths in my music studio system so I kind of need more specific idea of what to look for. I am attaching (2) Sample Activity logs, 1 when this happens during startup and then another when it does work but then freezes during a session.Please help as I am trying to troublshoot this for few months now.Let me know if you need anything other log file for troubleshooting.

Hello, I am using Adobe Audition Build 24.2.0.83 on a HP PC with Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2. When I Batch Process a wave-file with the extension ".WAV" to mp3, the converted mp3-file gets the extension ".WAV.mp3". If the file has the extension ".wav", the converted file gets the correct extension ".mp3"I do not have this problem with Audition 3.Please help me with this issue with uppercase letters in the extension, now I am forced to use Audition 3 instead of the updated version.Kind RegardsMats LundellMusikverket  

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've saved lots of projects. But...I hit "export" and I save the file. FineI hit "save as" ("save" is not available) and it still just offers me to save an audio file, but not the project.  I'mattaching a screenshot... I'm using 24.4.1.3 on a mac studio running Sonoma 14.5

Audition 24.4.1.3If a file has two consecutive spaces in its name you can't open it from Windows Explorer by clicking on it or using ope or ope with or drag and drop. And that applies to any program that uses "Process start" by passing the file names.  You can only open the file using the "File Open" in Audition.All of the above work in Audition CS6. I'm using Windows 11.
