I am having trouble finding a way to arm multiple tracks to record at once. I have about 10 tracks that I need to arm and un arm at the same time, but I can't find a way to do it. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this?
sometimes my file is like this after saving (export)... why is that happaning? (i dont use fade...)
I select the background noise, click on multitrack, and comeback, capture noise print is available but it sounds slightly different. if I play the selected portion it's greyed out again. I have tried copy-paste to increase the selected area. sometimes it works sometimes it does not. I am so frustrated I can never access the noise print option.Kindly help me with this issue. (adobe adution 2022)Thank you!!
Got a noise print for a Track, and then went through my favourite saved process for the clip. Uploaded another clip and I keep getting the 'Noise print is incompatible with this file'. Files are from the same source, and I have tried to open in new projects, multi tracks but now all I get is this message, what have I missed in the process?
Experimenting with video in Audition so I can watch the performers, and it seems the video will render a significant part of the performance but then it either goes blank (unless I hit pause, then it shows the current static image) or somehow diplays another secition of the video? Any advice for how to get this to work properly? I'm just using a reduced res (640x360) version of the video from my phone for this purposes Eventually it will go to Premier for full res final video editing. Should I just go the Premieer as a start and then back to Audition? Attached are the file specs:
I was asked to digitaze 45 maxell 35-180 analogue tapes. To reduce copytime, I prefer to set the tapedeck speed on 15 inch instead of 7.5 which was used originally. Adjusting JKL in Preferences, Playback & Recording, you can easily slow the playback speed 50%. But how do I save it to a new file with that new speed? I can't seem to find it. Thanks for reading and answering! Best René 🙂
I have all my Adobe CC cache files pointed to the same directory. That way I can keep these cleared out to free up space, and so I don't have obsolete files from old projects floating around on my drive later. Audition is also pointed to this directory in the auto-save settings, but it keeps creating an "Untitled Session" folder in Documents > Adobe > Audition > 24.0. I have even tried disabling all the auto save settings, but it keeps generating these files. How can I stop this?
I have noticed a significant difference in efficiency between Mac and Windows when editing WAV files in the spectral view. I own a MacBook Pro with the M3 Max chip, yet despite this, the speed when processing WAV files in the spectral interface is extremely slow. For example, even a simple operation like a +6dB adjustment requires a few seconds of waiting. On the other hand, any ordinary Windows PC can perform such operations without any delay.Since I need to perform a lot of spectral editing recently, I am considering abandoning the M3 Max and purchasing a new PC.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Audition developers, what is your explanation for this?
When editing multitrack WAV files, could you allow users to customize the display height of each channel? Currently, the height is evenly distributed among all channels, which makes it challenging to observe details, especially when working with a 16-track WAV file. It would be much more convenient if we could adjust the height of any individual channel.Additionally, it would be great to have this customization feature in the spectral editing window as well, allowing for individual channel height adjustments.
HI all, My company has been using The Match Loudness panel in Audition using the ITU-R BS.1770-3 preset to adjust all voice-over audio to an industry standard volume. I've been tasked to verify this is still a relevant best practice. After a quick Google search, I came across this:https://www.itu.int/dms_pubrec/itu-r/rec/bs/R-REC-BS.1770-5-202311-I!!PDF-E.pdf This PDF talks about ITU-R BS.1770-5 being the latest loudness model, which is not listed as a preset in Audition. I've scanned through said PDF, but it gets into math and tech jargon that's over my head. My question to you is... is ITU-R BS.1770-3 still a relevant model to match loudness? According to this, it's dated (2012). But despite the age, maybe it's still a relevant model? For reference, here are the settings we use:Is this still an appropriate approach to matching loudness for VO? If not, what would be the best practice and/or model to match to? Thanks!
Hi Audition Experts,I recently had to make the tough decision to move from Macbook Pro to a PC laptop. In setting up the PC version of Audition, I notice that there are subtle (but really difficult to manage) changes between the editing functions using the trackpad. For example, with the spectral frequency display, a two finger pinch on the Mac makes the view expand/contract horizontally, however on the PC, it makes the view expand vertically. A setting I can't seem to change. Also, despite the settings changed to "most sensitive" for the trackpad if I swipe to move across the recording quickly, it moves fast on the Mac, but in the PC is hardly moves at all. I'm not in a position to add a seperate trackpad, or use a mouse etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced these subtle differences, or if I am missing some settings somewhere. Are there any other differences people notice about working across platforms? Many thanks!
Hi all.Not sure if I should call this a bug, but here's my issue. Runing a batch process in Audition has no effect on the audio of my clips, either in my timeline, or even on the new file. This use to work some years back, but haven't needed to apply it until now. Made a screen recording to show the issue for anyone who can spare some of their precious time and attention, any assistance, thoughts or comments greatly appreciated: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3qcmmjo4rjkp1hvueqao0/Audition-Batch-Processing_issue.mp4?rlkey=97v4r56dd2e2cclm1hj96shfq&dl=0 Best, Alex Computer specs:Win 10 Pro (latest update)i9 10980-XE128GB RAMAsus 2080ti (latest update)1TB m.2 C drive1TB m.2 Cache1 x 2TB Black2 x 6TB Black2 x 12TB Gold Premiere Pro version: 24.5.0 (build 57)Audition version: 24.4.1.3
Adobe Audition V24.4.1 crashes as soon as I open the app. I got the pop up loading screen for the app, and seconds later an error message:"Sorry, an error has occurred. An error report has been generated. Click “Send report” to help us analyze the cause of the problem and explore solutions." If I click on the "View Report" blue link bellow the error message, I'm sent to an ".dmp" file, in the following path:/Library/Caches/Adobe/Audition/24.0/SentryIO-db/pendingI'm running a fresh update of Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 on an 15-inch, 2018 Intel Macbook Pro.Already tried uinstalling all Adobe Apps and Creative Cloud, running AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool, restarting and reinstalling CC and Audition. The same issue occurs with other available versions of the app on CC, such as 24.0, 23.0, 23.6.6, etc.

I think it may have been discussed elsewhere, but i present a radio show, my set up is a RODECASTER Pro II, a RODE NT-1 signature microphone, and i record onto ADOBE AUDITION, i drag the music MP3 file format. and record (i know some of you are gonna shout) a continious file, is there a way i can make ALL the recordings the same level please, (oh i have a MacBook Air) and it does have a mouse.Say how do i hightlight the whole show and make changes before exporting...Sorry i am kinda new to this...........but any help would be useful.
I am doing an urgent radio piece for BBC news. There is a fault with the hardware audio settings on my Adobe Audition 2018 latest release so it cannot play any audio. I need to sort this out and also to learn how to cross fade clips in and out and equalise levels of different clips. The news piece is for tomorrow so I need the session today. Can you contact me if you are able to access Team Viewer and do a remote session on my laptop. [email address removed by forum moderator]
I have a template to set Audition's I/O to the Rodecaster Multitrack; sometimes, this is swapped to the (system default) Rodecaster Multitrack. However, the template does not remember the assigned inputs. 2021 M1 iMac on Sonoma 14.5Adobe Audition 24.4.1Rodecaster Pro 2 Interface It's preferable to not follow the system default. Does anybody have any experience with this? Cheers!
Hi all,Am I correct in understanding collaboration in Creative Cloud is going away?Regardless, I'm wanting to share Audition and Premier projects with collaborators, for review and possibly their editing. Do folks here have suggestions for how best to do this?I'm on a Mac with fast internet and plenty of iCloud storage (and others are on Macs). Thanks for any assistance.
Hi All,Surely there is a way to hide Markers in Audition, but I am not finding it. Any help appreciated.
I have tried all 54 solutions given to ppl who had similar issues. Audio hardware, mapping, disc cache, restart, space bar, multi track, not waveform, etc. I am on Windows 11, I have checked for updates. The restarting with shift key worked once. but I'm here again. I am relatively new to Audition. I pay for Adobe, no plug-ins are being used. I have cut up my track repeatedly to line up sections. Could this have something to do with the audio not playing? When I move the playhead I can hear the track distorted. I wasn't t sure how to remedy the soundcard when it was suggested. Could this be the problem? Thank you so much for all the assistance 💪
I've begun, after years away, making some basic recordings of acoustic instruments and vocals. Is there a forum specifically for 1.5? Or specific threads I ought to follow? I have questions! Thanks
Please help. I have a multitrack session in which I add clip markers (M). The markers appear in the Markers panel. The markers do not appear on the clip. The problem seems specific to my multitrack session—if I start a new multitrack session, import a file, and add clip markers, they appear in both the panel and on the clip. Did I inadvertently disable the display of clip markers? Am I not understanding some behavior of the Marker functionality? This has happened to me before...and I'd like it to stop happening now.Any insight, ideas, or answers are greatly appreciated.Thank you!
Hello, I don't know what to do. My balance isn't working anymore. It doesn't matter if it's a mono or stereo audio file: If I turn the knob to R100, the clip just gets quieter instead of just playing on the right. On the left it's just normal volume. I tried it with a stereo track, with a mono track, with mono to stereo conversion, different headphones, all the same. What have I adjusted or am I doing wrong? Thanks,Piero(working with the latest version on Windows)
It would be great if on the Mixdown dialog box, there was a check box something like this:[ ] Don't let effect tails increase track's durationCurrently, when you mix down a track, it may add a second or two to the end of the track to handle the tail of any effect, such as the decay in Reverb. For Radio (which is what we use Audition for) you need very exact, clean, tight edits. The extra duration that gets added from certain effects is a big problem. We get around it by using automation and cutting off the envelope for the effects a second or two before the track ends, but that is a lot of work when you're dealing with hundreds of tracks each week. It would just be great if we could check or uncheck a box to have the rail of any effects automatically cut off, so the duration stays the same.(You'll also see a lot of people on the forums very confused why the length of the mixed down track is larger than the track in the editor.)
When I save a file under mp3 format and reload later Audtion is adding time to it, for example if it was 00:18.000 whe I open it again will be 00:18.076, any idea why is this? Thank you all in advance
