I've been using a Soundcraft UI24R mixer along with Audition to create a mix to a livestream. Soundcraft provides a Multi-Channel USB Audio Driver for Windows, which is basically the ASIO for that mixer. I'm using the latest version of Auditon and the latest version of that driver. That ASIO driver exposes all 32 channels from the mixer as microphone inputs. I'm using about 20 of them to create the mix (drum kit, guitars, microphones, etc.), as shown in the picture below. I then set them all to record and activate the "I" (monitor) button on each channel (smart monitoring is off under Preferences -> multitrack). I then use reastream to send that audio mix to OBS. I understand there are multiple points of latency with that, but that's not my concern (I can always delay the video that the livestream uses so that audio and video are synced). The issue is that whenever I add an effect to one of the ~20 channels, that channel (and only that channel) then becomes out o
Hi,I have a very long audio track with a single speaker, and there are several gaps and pauses in between. I would like to be able to select a gap size, e.g. 1500ms and threshold e.g. -26dB, and have audition go through the file and insert cuts in multitrack mode, maybe at the middle of the gap or the start. Is there a way to do this automatically?
I am trying to make a podcast in Audition, and I recorded a test. Everything seems fine, but when I export, I get an empty clip without any sound. What could be the problem?
Hey, when I capture noise print it seems to work, but then when I go to Noise Reduction (Process) it says the Noise Print is undefined and also something about it being a different channel (despite noise print being taken of the same channel I want to apply it to).
Is there a way with Audition CC 2017 macOS to batch process multiple WAVs or AIFFs to insert a 2-second silence at the beginning and another 2-second silence at the end of each file?
I've got two very short clips of room tone and am curious if they were recorded in the same room. Is there are a way to analyze the audio (maybe with frequency analysis) to see if it's likely they're from the same room?
These are in my recordings, and I don't know how they're being generated. System: voice booth with Neumann U87Ai into Scarlett 2i2, Windows machine. No other electronics in the booth. Not wearing a watch (the blips are over :02 apart anyway). No clocks outside of the booth, but these blips almost look internally generated. Thoughts?
Hello,When editing in multitrack, I oftentimes go to waveform to edit. However, when going between the two the audio levels are very different (Waveform lower) so I have to continually turn the computer audio levels up and down, up and down. Any ideas? Thanks,Derek
Hello everyone, I have a somewhat embarrassing question, but I can't quite recall how to perform this procedure. I have my Lead Vocal track, and I'd like to send it to a different track, specifically a send or bus track, to add a particular effect, in this case, a simple chorus. What I aim to achieve is not to create an exact copy of the signal, as it happened on the bus track, but "create an auxiliar track, where apply a single plugin to it, and control the intensity of the effect based on the level of the Fader height. So, if the fader is set to 100%, I can hear the chorus effect at full strength,in the opposite, I'll hear the clean voice with no effect applied at all. I can't quite recall what this process is called, but it's typically used to control delay and reverb on vocals. Can someone assist me with this? Base on this picture, I wanna that that chorus effect applied on the bus track CHORUS, sent from MAIN VOCALS track, become less or more intense in relationshipt to the fader
Just as the title says: all versions (at least from 22.0 up until 23.6) of Audition are crashing upon starting up. Sometimes immediately, other times after going through some motions in the start-up window, but it never actually launches. I've seen a couple of workarounds pass through that are meant to alleviate this issue, but I would love for Adobe to deliver a service that doesn't need a trial-and-error on the consumer side to even get into the software. We're paying top money for this entire suite of software, how come some of its more basic proponents aren't even booting up? Good morning everyone. I need some information. If I generate a stereo audio signal for a certain number of seconds and save the created file in standar not compressed wav format (pcm audio -44/16 stereo) in aution2 I obtain a file of 23,848 Kb. If I do the same operation using aution cs6 I obtain a slightly larger file, 23,853 Kb. The samples, frequency and channels are the same, (I use PCM 44/16/stereo saving wythout compressio) but, why is there this difference? I analyzed the headers of the two files and they are identical. I have no metadata. If I import the file created with cs6 into cs2 and simply save it(standard pcm wave file)...I get a file with the same dimensions as the one created in cs2. Can anyone give me some explanation? thanks in advance to anyone. Mario
I want to close down my monthly AA subscription and want to save all my pre-sets so that I can use again when I buy into Creative Cloud package. How do I do this or is will the transfer be automatic?
My mouse has two little side buttons, mouse 4 and 5. In the keyboard shortcuts menu, I can't input these buttons as shortcuts. Has anyone figured out a workaround to get Audition to recognize extra mouse buttons? Would love to make use of them while editing.
Last night I recorded and edited an audio file in Adobe Audition and RX8, I made sure to save it, as that was also needed to port it over into the RX software, after that, I properly shut down my computer only to find today that I can't play the file back and that it also does not automatically get recovered using Audition as it has many times before. I went looking for the original files, but they seem to have disappeared.I did not change anything or delete them and I made sure that the file would be saved to a directory that I recall. As of now, the file reports to have a size of 435 MB, but does not play back using any software. The peak file is also available.TLDR:i have a 400mb audio file i've recorded and saved from audition. whenever i try to preview it in any software, nothing seems to play. is this file corrupt, and if so is there any way i can salvage it?
so i have installled adobe audition and the asio all driver . now the problem is i cant hear what im recording to the computer unless i reset the audio map to the speakers of the computer. is there a solution to that issue?
Every now and again Adobe Audition will crash and I am extremely disappointed to find that the autosave feature has not worked properly. I have it set to save every 1 minute and yet quite regularly I will find that the last saved version in the Autosave folder is from 10-40 minutes ago. It seems similar symptoms to this person: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/audition-cc-autosave-function-unreliable/td-p/10237359#sa_src=web-messaging However their solution was to run Audition as the administrator, which I am doing so already. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I am running Adobe Audition 2022 (cannot upgrade on Catalina) on an iMac. p.s. also very disappointed in Adobe's customer service. Live chat agent (Sandeep) just ended the chat with absolutely no resolution, having asked a bunch of inane questions. The only suggestions I got were to upgrade (I can't on this machine) or to access menus that don't exist.
Hi, So I have been having an issue where I will record Audio in multi track session, With some FX and as the audio goes into the project it will be in what I plan as the correct decibel range (-9 - -3) But then, as I record more clips I will or I go back and delete sections of clips I notice it drops to at least -18 - -12. Thats When I have stopped and copied to a new project, and everything will be fine and the correct decibels for a few recording clips, and then they will drop again. I have set my mixing the Left right logarithmic thinking that would solve it, but it is still happening. I haven't exported anything so it isn't happening as part of a mix-down. Any idea of what I can do to stabilize the decibels to stay where they originally are? Thanks for any help!
Hello,I would like to reduce the length time of an audio clip, BUT i want the voice to stay natural not robotic, meaning if if it's sped up then it must been humanly speed up as if the person speaking on that audio simply decided to speak faster, it must not be seen as being sped up robotically by a software or a machine etc;.. Or at least, WHAT TO DO, to keep the voice/tone/accent of a voice on an audio that I want to reduce its duration?? Any advice is appreciated.
Hello,1) Can you delete silences in multiple audios at once, even if they are NOT in the audio tracks and they are stil in the media library?2) Is there any scripting possible with "Audition"? Like coding and interacting with Audition through some code etc? Thanks
Hello,I have been using recording software since back in the days back to Cubase, Fruity loops and many other. Now like 15 years later I was going to start making some music again. With the idea that things had developed since then, I realised it hasn't which is kind of disapointing. So I have this Rode NT1AI1-KIT Studio Kit and read that this would be a good start. However, I am so disapointed. The sound does not sound good and the biggest problem is that there is a delay in recoding. When using the mic there is like some milliseconds or even a second of delay between speaking/singing and when its recorded. So all recordings are off beat.I thought things had become more simple and you didn't have to be a technician any longer in order to record some music. But it seems its still the same. I have read many threads and adjusted delay options and things are not getting better. Any suggestions on what can be wrong here? I mean im using an external sound card so it shoul
just recently I noticed the last two weeks after a couple years no problem i noticed my recording is normal at the begining but at mid-way through my 6hr show the recording is fast forward speed. What could/can cause this ? The Hard Drive? I am running an Internet station on the same computer could it be the HD Internet radio does drain HD's
Hello, (Newbie here)... Audition Build 24 / MacOS 12.6. / Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen / Shure MV7XI recently recorded myself biting into an apple for a podcast. I am going to discard and re-record it due to background noise, but I noticed, for the first time, these purple squiggles in the Spectral window and am wondering what they indicate, and why they suddenly showed up in this recording of the waveform? Is it because I was clipping on the recording? Probably not, as they don't appear where the clipped audio is.Is there a way to control their appearance/disappearance?
Hello, I am not entirely sure how to describe and solve this problem, so please bear with me and try to understand where I am coming from. I recorded a voice-over for a commercial that I created, however, the oice-over recording I did sounds very obvious to me that it was recorded at home and notnin a commercial studio. I want it to sound as clear and crisp as it does in regular commercial, but mine does not sound like that. I don't know what is missing, as I am quite new to Adobe Audition so I don't what the technical term is for what I am describe. Please help if you can! Thank you in advance.
Don't suppose there's any chance of it but I may as well ask. I have volunteered with the local Hospital Radio station where I live for over 15 years and have use AA3 extensively since then; producing everything from promos to full programmes. But I probably don't use even 5% of the available features and effects; mainly just the ones around volume and evelopes (dB-related stuff.) I would love some sort of 'cut down', basic version; or even happily pay a "buy-out" price (if it were affordable and not £100s; maybe up to £150 or so!) I could start using Audacity as that has the basic features I need but it would mean abandoning everything I have done over the last 15 years! Do Adobe not realise there Hospital and Community radio stations who might well be in the same position as I me? If I were an industry professional then I'm sure £20 per month would be acceptable and afffordable. But I'm not and I can't afford it.
Hello,I was in the middle of working on editing a file, both wave form and sepctral view open, when all in a sudden I got a prompt to save my file and restart Audition to prevent damage. When I reopened, I could no longer hear any sound and the spectral view was all black, though the wave form would still show. Any ideas what's happened there?
