Hi,I use Adobe Audition on a MAC. I have an Audio Devices MixPre 10-ii recorder on which I've recorded six tracks. I want to bring those 6 tracks into Audition and perform a remix into Stereo. I've managed to transfer the audio file to Audition Multi-track BUT all 6 tracks appear as one track (photo attached) - can anyone please assist. Thanks Andrew
Thank god for this post. Audition Audio Only Playing Through Left Side of Bose Headphones I don't know what happend but any help would be appreciated so I don't do that again. First, my mixdown wouldn't export to premier correctly then I tried to close down audtion and when I reopened I could hear no audio and then I want to reopen another project and it came in only on the left side. I think someting got wonky with the dynamic link.
What is the preferred method to restore the default setup (including edit and CD windows) screens on Audition 3? There is no general restore or rebuild in any of the menus.
Hi everyone, can anyone tell me please if there is a more detailed, step by step and more competent introduction to Adove Audition? The videos from Audition Learn are not quite precise and informative enough for total beginners. Appreciate any help, thanks!
Hi, I'm using Adobe Audition CC build 12.1.45 and I wanted to create a telephone effect for an audio recording I created. Looking online I saw a tutorial that shows an 'on hold EQ' effect under Effects -> Filter & EQ -> FFT Filter and in fact in the tutorial there are numerous other filters. However when I try and do this I only see 4 filters available to me and the "on hold EQ" isn't one of them. Has the list of filters drastically changed? Am I missing something? In the tutorial in question the user doesn't appear to be using any additional plugins. I've just been trying to apply this to a single waveform track I've created. This is the tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0sqIErc_kY Thanks
Hello everyone, I am sending you this message because I have a small problem.Since a few days, I don't have access to any export in Audition, all the means of export are grayed.I was able to do an export earlier in the project, but it's not available anymore. In my opinion, I must have activated a parameter but I don't know which one? Could you help me?Thank you and have a nice day !
Hello, I'm having issues recording two microphones and I'm not sure why. I've made sure that the project is the same bit-depth (24-bit) and they're both 48100hz Any ideas? Below is a link to an example of what it's sounding like. I'm on a 2022 Macbook Pro M1 Max, 64GB Ram and over 800GB of computer storage available. Any thoughts? Troubleshooting Podcast V1
hi I have created an audio file which consists of several meditations, which my customers usually download to and listen to on their tablet or phone. I'd like to include chapter marks in this file so that they could easily jump with one click to the meditation they want to listen to. I guess, the idea is similar to an audio book, except that it doesn't have any visuals other than the cover. So those chapter marks would need to show on the playback progress line (somehoew).Does the professional audio mastering program like Adobe Audition have this option? (I'd be surprised if it didn't)thanks
Hello guys 👋 I have a problem here. My audition file won't save, save as, or export multitrack session. Here is the screenshot, it's greyed out. Please help me 😭
I have a very long reverb added to a track, and I want to have the reverb sustain past the last note, but it cuts off at the end of the clip ...I've tried adding silence to the end of the track, but it doesn't seem to stick...the playhead stops at the end of the clip, and returns to the beginning. What am I missing? What's the right way to do this? Thanks.(latest version of Audition, on a Mac, using iZotope's NeoVerb if that makes a difference)
I was using audition the other day and it was working but now when im in multitrack I cant even hit the little R record or select a device nothing is showing up, I know im doing something wrong and im super new to this program just looking for some help
After working perfectly for most of today, I now can't hear my multitrack play out. I can the individual tracks perfectly when I switch to waveform view. None of the tracks are muted so it isn't that. The volume indicators for each track react fine as the multitrack plays out but nothing registers in the levels window below, when the multitrack is playing. Any ideas?
Recorded linear PCM audio through Sony camera with lave mic. Audio fluctuates with volume and sibilance hissing.Any way to repair/correct in Audition?ThanksKevin
I suppose as long as I can equal out the audio that would be a help. No matter what I do I either make everything quiter or louder. I would like to make the quiet sounds louder and the loud tones quiter. I am having issues with the audio, and I would really like some help trying to fix my problem.
Hallo! Ich erhalte die Fehlermeldung "Die Vorgabe XY konnte nicht geladen werden", wenn ich Voreinstellungen verwenden möchte. Kann mir jemand sagen, warum?
i've heard adobe audion is a great voice enhancer for discord, but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to set it up.
Hi I am currently trying to export my vocal stems from Adobe Audition 2020 & have tried this in the earliest version that the creative cloud allows to have installed. I have changed the bit rate and tried using earlier versions to export my audio without the popping but no matter what I change, some of the stems always have popping on the stem. there's no effects or anything on the stem it's just the stem alone and it has popping noises. Any idea how to fix this?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated as I have a lot of files with dead space at the beginning and end of a music track I would like to easily delete.
When I duplicate a session and try to remove old, unused clip references, which I’ll never need in the future, it warns me it’ll delete these references in every other session in which they're used, and it cannot be undone. This is ludicrous. I didn't believe it would actually gut a previous session, but lo and behold it did! How does this make sense? I reverted to backup. Disaster averted. But now I'm terrified. I want to save the layout, track names, the base starting time code of 10:00:00:00, etc., as a template. And it should not have any baggage from previous sessions. What do I do?
Hello, I've never understood how to convert the raw audio values found in a WAV file to absolute pressure values, and also how to interpret the waveformsdisplayed in Audition in concrete physical terms (i.e. in units of Pascals)For instance, assume I have WAV file, and I parse it to determine which format the data is stored in, and also extract the raw numerical data for one channel, with no conversion from the natural representation used by the format (i.e. ints stay as ints, floats are floats, etc). Now assume that some "oracle" tells me that a numeric value of x (e.g. x= 0.8) in the file represents an excess pressure (over ambient air pressure) of 2x10-3 Pa at my ear drum.Question: Given this calibration point, what formula do I use to then calculate the sound pressure (in Pa) associated with a numeric value of y (e.g. y = -0.3)?(I understand that this could depend on the format that the data is stored in -- so, what are the formats that are commonly used, and how would
For a voice-over (narration) of a slideshow, once the audio clip has been edited initially, how is it best "finished" for acceptable loudness and avoidance of clipping or overly soft (inaudible) speech? Should I use Normalize and/or Hard Limit? Should I simply use a broadcast standard (even though I'm not broadcasting), such as in the Match Loudness for ATSC or ITU. Note that I don't know precisely which settings to choose, so please include exact recommendations. If there is a written or video reference which answers these questions, I'm also willing to read or watch it/them.Thank youKeith
Hey guys! Question about the Remix song feature in Adobe Audition. I use it a lot to quickly cut down songs to shorter lengths for social media. Sometimes it works flawlessly on the first try, but it seems to make cuts at random depending on what length you tell it to make the song. I'd love to be able to more precisely choose which sections of the song it keeps, for example: Shorten the Intro from 30 seconds to 10, keep this drop, this middle section and the outro and make it all :30 seconds. There may be a way to do that but I don't know the program very well, this is pretty much the only feature I use it for. I'm a one man band filmmaker and not an Audio guy. Any help is very much appreciated!
Hi, I am making a mix for my friend using FLAC files that sound perfect in my file explorer - we finished the mix and exported it and the quality was.... well terrible. At first I thought it was because we messed with stretching and levels so to test this out I used a plain FLAC of a song I know well into audition completely unedited and without any input from me audition COMPLETELY flattened the song, seeming converting it to mono and removing an extremely noticeable quality when listening on headphones. It muddies the song and completely disregards its use of left and right channels despite me doing nothing but load it onto 24-track mixdown. Can someone please tell me how to undo this? Is there a hidden setting I'm missing or will Audition natively crunch music down to be flatter and less nuanced?
Hello, I'm in a position where I can't re-record this again as it was over 2 hours of audio voice-over. To start, I take a medication that gives me a dry mouth, so de-clicker is my savior most of the time, however, I'm noticing when I'm working with the file in post, it creates a lot of crunching/static sounds where it cleaned up mouth clicks. It's not as bad as the mouth clicks, but it's irritating to hear when I'm working with the file. I run the de-clicker through the diagnostics panel in the waveform editor, usually using the heavy option. When I play it back in the waveform editor, it sounds great! But after sending it to a multitrack, these issues appear. Sometimes it adds a hard click/clucking sound to the end of a hard "k" sound (similar to the sound the little girl in the movie Hereditary makes). Any advice would be appreciated! I'm recording at 48000mhz at 32-bits.
I'm upgrading to an M1 and i plan on using my old intel machine for podcasting. I looked to see if anybody asked this but couldn't find anything. I'm sure it's not impossible, but just need to know what i need to do so I can do that.
