Audition

Hi, We are in the process of improving the stability of Audition and have received reports of Audition crashing/hanging in different scenarios. Some of those scenarios are not reproducible in-house, a crucial step towards fixing them. Those that we have reproduced, we have fixed. We need your help in understanding how to get the system and/or Audition (preferrably the latest available version) to a state where a crash/hang happens reliably. Please let us know if you are interested in helping us get to the bottom of this. If so, please respond with your scenario, what you were doing, the system details, plugins (if any), audio device and control surfaces used, version of Audition, and anything else that you may think relevant.   Looking forward to responses so we can work closer with you and release more and more stable versions of Audition out.   Satish Quality Engineer Adobe Audition Team

Friends - I have an older version - Audition 3 (WIN10). I don't do a lot of editing now so CC is not needed but... in using this i find for some reason that the MERGE option is always greyed out. I actually had it work by chance this week but can't get it to work again after selecting the clips and then right click. It always wants to SPLIT which i've obviously already done.  ;-/    -  Your feedback on correcting this would be super helpful for this simple project I have. Everything else still works super great. THANKS, i need to get this working to speed up my project.

I have some audio that I want to use the DeClicker on.  I have imported the audio, and I can press scan with the Declicker (process), it will find all the clicks but when I click "Repair All" Audution crashes. I am currently using version 23.5.0.48 can anyone help?

As noted, I get a pop up window (screenshot below) after updating Audition to the latest version (23.6.0.61) on Windows 10 22H2, whenever I use Multitrack > Mixdown Session to New File (either Entire Session or Time Selection causes the problem). The files used in the multitrack then appear as if they are being worked on, and the waiting symbol appears indefinitely stuck at 100%. The files are unable to be closed or edited in Timeline view, I have to quit the app fully. So far it appears as if the files are rendering correctly before throwing the error.  I have not encountered a data loss issue yet, but this is still a concerning bug.  

Hi all, I do my fine editing using the Spectral Frequency Display and suddenly it became distorted. The audio sounds fine but the display doesn't look right. The Hz isn't 'zoomed in' if you will, so that isn't the issue. I've tried closing and reopening, opening other projects, creating a new project, updating the software, and restarting my laptop. Everything looks distorted now and nothing has fixed it. I also tried reaching out to Adobe support but good grief, that was the biggest waste of time. They barely seem to know anything about the program. I need someone who actually uses Audition to help me troubleshoot. Any ideas?

Hello everyone,I'm having a problem with an audio that I have. The voice is doubled twice and the same voice is heard displaced very little, like a kind of echo.I've tried removing double vocals with Audition, but have been unsuccessful. I have tried several tools, including the one to remove reverberation, and it has not worked.Somebody could help me? Using Audition 3.0, and the on clip gain control inexplicably disappears, and I can't find a way to bring it back. Have tried toggling "on-clip gain control when there is no selection range" in the preferences menu, resetting workspace, rebooting program, rebooting computer. None of this works. Help.

Bonjour à tous, J'utilise Audition pour monter un podcast mais depuis 2 jours, je rencontre des bugs un peu étranges.Lorsque j'applique un fond sur une musique (avec le petit carré à l'extrémité de la piste), celui-ci ne s'entend pas, comme si l'effet ne s'appliquait pas... Aussi, j'entend des variations de volume irrégulière sur la musique alors que le fichier source est de bonne qualité.Je précise que mon logiciel est bien à jour, version 23.6 août 2023. Est-ce un bug lié à cette nouvelle version, d'autres ont-ils ce soucis ? Merci par avance ! 

Hello. When I playback my recording is making a "pop" and "crackling" sound. Like when a speaker is broken. I unistall the app, and install it again. And is the same. I record my voice, and playback sounds, like "monster" changed from my original voice.It was fine. I did not remember moving or changing anything.I have a MAC PROP, and AUDITION 2023, from adobe. Everything was working fine.Can someone help me please.Thak youI use "thetikee" so I can get back to this post later.

Hi, It would be really convenient to be able to double left click on the name of a marker to change the name and type from a small dropdown menu. It would be a small change that would create a better workflow and match consistency with other Adobe products like Photoshop. Hope this gets added. Thanks,Jack

What Hardware is needed to use multiple Yeti USB Microphones in Adobe Auditions?

Hello. I'm a novice user of Audition on a Macbook Pro. I was working in Multitrack and it just crashed. I've saved many, many times but the current version when I reopened the app is only showing the edits from a week and a half ago. The other tracks are there, on the index on the left, but all of the clips I had edited and placed in tracks have disappeared. Can you walk me through recovering any of the versions that I've saved? Anything at all would be helpful.

The  Audition version is 22.0.0.96The os version is  Windows 11  Pro 22H2 The mathine is  Legion R9000P ARX8the problem is attachment of  video below.When play the any type of audio and using any out device like  RealteK(R) Audio headset/speaker the volume is change between low and norm aperiodicly.and the sound like using skill of Frame extraction.

Je fais mes modifications dessus, lorsque je reviens sur l'éditeur multipsite mes modifications audio ne se sont pas faites. Sur ma piste j'ai un panneau "Attention"Pouvez-vous m'aider s'il vous plait ?

I do have a screenshot of the issue. However, when I turn on my laptop and load Audition, it's empty even if I get the message to continue where I left off. I have to manually load all of my files that I am working on in Audition. Here's what the issue was yesterday when it comes to saving Session files. Can anyone help me figure out the reason why Audition doesn't want to save my Session files ?:   I do have an update trying to save another Session File. Here are the screenshots for that. How do I fix this?:        

Hello everyone! I have a more technical question but I hope you can give me the answer to that. When I scan an entire signal in order to analyze the overall spectrum of it, Audition computes the Overall spectrum with certain amplitudes that I found being different among other audio analysis softwares by even 10dB offset (of course all comparisone are done with the same analysis window characteristics). I suppose that it depends on how the Short-time-Fourier-Transform of the signal is normalized frame by frame before doing the mean over all the frames. Does anyone know how this normalization is done and by what value it is done? I'm calling this a bug - how can users be expected to read size ~4 font in Audition? It's almost unusable. It's also low contrast grey-on-black. Has Adobe heard about accessibility?

I recorded some audio but it's only coming from the right speaker. Is there a way I can have it come from both speakers without rerecording the audio? 

I'm recording using Adobe Audition 23.0.0.54 and a AT2020USB+ microphone. Previously never had issues, but lately Audition is unusable-- upon playback my audio repeats itself or skips, and this is showing up in the waveform as I record I can actually see it record extra audio repeats. Any idea why this is happening? For example, when I simply count to ten it records me saying one, one.... two three.. six, six seven, etc. File attached for reference

 I have been trying to automate tasks in Audition. But I find limitations that prevent me from doing what I need and I have some questions that I would really appreciate if someone could help me with. 1. In After Effects there is an option: app.beginSuppressDialogs()To prevent dialogs from being shown. But I can’t find anything to get that same behaviour in Audition. I get a save window when calling save through code and it stops the process of calling further commands, so not sure how to get around that. 2. ApplicationCommands project under CEP on Github lists commands, are these up to date? Or are there more things that can be done? Does anyone have ideas about this? 

Who do I add a second or two of silence to the end of a track. For example, if it is 5:04, I want to extend it to 5:05 or 5: 06. I am a beginner who has used Audition on and off and this has been an impedment to learning as I will forget how to do something. I used to know how to do it but cannot remember and am having no luck searching around in the program. Thanks.

Hi can anyone help. Ive been editing a clip by using the automatic noise declipper and since then I have no audio whatsoever on that clip but all other clips play fine. It's not just in audition I tried playing that clip in itunes and there is no audio. There is a waveform though so I have no idea whats wrong with it. Screenshot attached

Adobe Audition - Mac When pressing play there is a delay - perhaps 500 milliseconds or so, when using automation. The delay seems to get worse as the project is edited further and becomes more complicated. I found that if I removed the plug-ins from the track, the delay is gone even with automation on.If I remove automation and leave the plug-ins in, thenthe delay is gone as well. So the playhead delay happens when using plug-ins and automation together.Which plug-in does not seem to matter, any of them, Adobe or otherwise cause the problem.This is only a two track edit but often happens using more tracks.Yes, my computer has more than enough power, and yes it happens on other computers under the same parameters. Workaround:My rather convoluted workaround is to create a bus track, install plug-ins on that one and rout the output of the track I am editing to the bus. This seems to work. Does anyone have a fix? I did call Adobe but got the usual unitere

Randomly I will get Adobe Audition 23.5 stuck on initializing auUI on startup.
