Summary:I record a weekly radio program in Adobe Audition on Windows 11, and my workflow uses Multitrack sessions where I import songs (MP3, WAV, or FLAC) and then record voiceovers and mix everything down. I have a set of FLAC files from the Qobuz music service that will reliably crash Audition when imported into Multitrack - specifically, they create an error message and then Audition becomes unresponsive. I'm not sure what's broken about the files; they play in Windows audio players reliably, and they pass the "flac -t" test command in Linux. If I download the same song from Qobuz directly from the web site, they import into Audition just fine - so I believe something about how they're being encoded by the Qobuz Downloader is exposing a bug in Audition. If the files are malformed, I want to report a bug to Qobuz, but I also believe that a FLAC file should never be able to crash Audition, especially if it can be opened and played in other programs. The file
I'm running the latest version of Adobe Audition CC, on Windows 10, 32GB or RAM (which I never come close to using all of), on a machine with an Intel i7 7th generation 4.2Ghz processor. It runs smoothly for most operations I do. Even simple things in Audition are fine. But once I get a big session going with lots of life effects, things really grind to a halt. This is understandable, but I'm wondering if there's something I can to to alleviate the huge lag time I end up getting every time I hit play in a session. It becomes so laggy that it's incredibly frustrating to use. I mean, a 4 or 5 or 6 second delay, every time I want to hit play.I keep all my files on the SSD C: drive. Is that better than a secondary standard HDD?I avoid using effects like Full Reverb and Reverb and others like that coded red. I use almost no VST plugins. What can I do to speed things up? Is my CPU just too slow?Any advice welcome! And I'll answer any probing questions you may have. Thanks, AA community!
I do a lot of editing in Audition. I understand that the space bar is used to start and stop playing. However, if an alternative button was available, to turn the cursor into a hand to move the editor display to the right or left instead of selecting audio, it would be excellent. Having to move the cursor back and forth from the top of the panel and back to selection is cumbersom at best.
Simple question - where ReWire in that new version, are ReWire exist in that new version?I'm using trial version & can't find ReWire like I'm found it in Audition 3!Anyway guys, how to ReWire Reason???
Since the CC 2014 launch, the option in in Premiere Pro and After Effects to "edit in Audition" is greyed out. Right-clicking a clip in Premiere Pro doesn't have an option for Audition. I cannot send my compositions, sequences or clips to Audition for audio editing. I contacted an Adobe Support personnel earlier this evening. They suggested to go into my Mac's System Preferences and enable a root user, log out of my account, log into the root user, shut down and boot up into safe mode. None of these scenarios worked. It is still greyed out, in both user accounts. Is this a known issue? I even uninstalled and reinstalled Audition. Still nothing. All my Adobe apps are updated. My Mac is updated. Again, never had this issue before. I'd appreciate any assistance! Thank you!Cheers, Evan Lockhart
I notice Audition won't open M4A files. Is there a plugin that can be downloaded to make this happen? I suppose I could copy my M4A's to CD and open them that way.... as long as during the copy process no loss of quality happens to the files. Kind of a pain to copy them all to disc and open them as track 1, track 2. etc., instead of the original name of the files.
been diving into editing with audition, and being able to just straight up split a file into individual files from marker to marker would be nice. currently, unless i am missing something, you have to set markers and then define regions by dragging something to the next marker etc. a simple split at all markers would be much faster. maybe i am missing something? just an idea.

In premiere, I insert room tone between voiceover bytes in order to smooth out the voiceover and make the edits sound natural. (this is a common practice in industry). I crossfade these chunks of roomtone over a duration of 2 or 3 frames. This is very easy to do quickly in Premiere, selecting all of the transitions and using the keyboard shortcut. However, these crossfades change when I bring the sequence over to Audition for the soundmix. (I'm sending it over from Premiere via Edit -> Edit sequence in Audition). The crossfades become fade-outs that bump up against each other. Obviously this is not ideal, and I have to go through and adjust them one-by-one over the duration of the entire film.See attached screenshot: the top track is how they get translated in Audition, and the bottom track is how they should appear.Note: This has not been an issue in the past. This has always been a part of my workflow and just recently started happening. Not sure if the problem is in Audition or P
Hi Team,The company I work for subscribes to Adobe CC and want me to stop using ProTools and swap to Audition. I am ready to comply but must have a suitable controller. Does anyone here have experienxce in using a fully functioning controller with Adobe Audition? I have read countless comments and suggestions but have not seen one instance of someone speaking of a successful pairing.I have tested a Behringer X-Touch One and it's functions are limited to being a transport controller, Play Stop Shuttle etc. I have used the same device to run ProTools with full functionality. "Help me Adobe Support Community, you're my only hope?
I just started using audition and I have a good computer. Windows 10 64 bit. 32 gig of rams and it's running off a half a gig solid state drive. None of my resources are maxing out in the monitors. I am barely at 5% of my computers potential. What do I need to do? It just says not responding how do I get a crash report?
I think it would be very handy if I can copy effects from single slots in the effect rack and paste it to another track to it's slots there. Like in Reaper 😉 with rigth click or so ... thanks up front. And it should be possible in waveform effects rack as well.
Does anyone know how to change the numeric decimal places in amplitude statistics back to normal? Mine changed out of nowhere to really long format and I cant get them back to the way they were or default. Thanks./
After successfully trialling Audition, when I click on [Buy] in Creative Cloud (on my Mac Desktop), it takes me to Adobe Presenter purchase page... WTF?!?And on the Audition product pages, there's nowhere to BUY the software. What gives!?I've never had this much difficulty spending money with another software supplier. Just might be the trigger for me to go spend my money elsewhere.
Edit: I updated Melodyne and then it started working, should've tried that first, silly mistake! Gonna leave this post up just in case it helps anyone else 🙂 Hello!I recently got Adobe Audition and although it's been hard to figure out, I'm excited to use it!The one roadblock I've come across so far, is that the melodyne effect doesn't seem to want to load correctly, making it unusable. When I try to use it as a VST it looks like thisand when I try to use it as an AU it looks like this:I was using reaper before, which I still have and melodyne works on it so it's not the end of the world, I can always export and use melodyne and then import it back, but I'd rather use all one DAW if possible! Anyone have any ideas on what's going on?
Hello, I have a very powerful computer with a powerful processor. I used to work with the old Adobe until now and I didn't encounter this problem and I would appreciate help. Every time I start playing the track with the spacebar, it takes almost half a second for the track to start. It's very annoying and inconvenient to work with. In the old auditions, it always goes online when I press the key. It's important to note that I work with a wireless keyboard (but I also worked in previous versions). Is there a setting or something that can be done to improve the editing process and so that the key works without delay to start the track?
When I attempt to use any UAD plug in, the software immediately crashes. This has never happened before and started with the latest update.
I just installed audition cs5.5. I was able to open an existing mp3 file and edit it, but when i tried to open a new file to make a recording, it wouldn't respond. This is what happened...I clicked file - audio - new - audio file, and the editor appears. I tried to drag the "current time indicator" but it wouldn't move. I tried to click "record" and "play" but there was no response.Did I do something wrong?
I have a large number of files in my Audition project, and waste time searching for the clip or music piece that I want to use. I am wondering if Adobe might add a feature where users could create "bins" or folders within the files panel where we could sort our files into sub-categories (e.g. music, bridges, dialogue clips by speaker, etc.)
After a year of flawless movement, Audition's playhead today started moving jerkily. For any audio editor to function AT ALL, it has to have some graphical element (Audition's "playhead"), that moves instantaneously along the waveforms, matching the sound being played over the PC to the waveforms associated with that sound. The work I do in Audition is IMPOSSIBLE without this most basic function. For the first year of steady use, Audition did this perfectly. But today, mid-session, it shifted to jerky movement. Now it jumps position every 200 to 400 ms, then freezes in the new position, motionless until the next jump (200-400 ms later). This started occurring midway through Audition editing work on a single .wav file today. One moment the playhead position was moving normally. The next, it only moves by jumps and freezes.I had nothing else running on my PC. I have not recently installed any new hardware, software, driver updates, or accepted recen
Currently it is not possible to resize elements of the UI based on need, as it is in Premiere Pro. Specifically, it would improve my workflow if I had the ability to resize the effects section of the UI when in mixer view. There's a TON of space dedicated to the faders which is nice but unnecessary for the work that I'm doing. I'd much rather have the option to see 6-8 plugins across all of the tracks instead of the 3 that are visible by default.Additionally, it would be helpful to be able to expand the Sends section to see 2 or 3 at a time across all tracks. Features like these would be really helpful in my migration from Pro Tools
Recently purchased Adobe Audition CC 2019. Currently using both Adobe Audition and Garageband for recording music and vocals. Using Zoom R24 and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 as my interfaces on both software programs.Problem: Using both an omnidirectional mic and a condenser mic. When I record a vocal track with either mic through either interface in the Garageband software, the vocals come out sharp, clear and normal sounding, no issues or problems. HOWEVER, when I do the same using Adobe Audition, the resulting vocal tracks sound somewhat distorted, not at all normal sounding. The best way to describe it is they come out sounding almost slightly doubled and as if they were recorded in a closet.Discussion: I have examined all the settings etc. that I am aware of on Adobe Audition as well as my interfaces to see if I am doing something wrong, but I can't find anything obvious.Question: Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on
For those who do not know - Adobe no longer has activation servers for AA3. Anyone know a workaround for not being able to activate AA3 anymore. I've had to do a new install. Disabling activation is quite an astonishing move by Adobe if this really is the case thanks, Greg
Good morning dear Adobe friendsI have an idea for something great for the Edukshin software: to make a feature that translates a singer in a song into another language that I choose from the list of languages in the singer's own original voice. What do you think?
We often use the noise reduction in our audio to take out general background noise and other minor noises and use the noise capture print a lotWe are working on a project now and have noticed when we do noise capture and then noise reduction process nothing happens and there is no difference in the audio either. This is using the basic settings which have worked fine for us in the past.We are using the 2017.0.2 release Build no. 10.0.2.27We are having to take it into another program to remove the noise.
