Bridge

I have had some problems with my PC (running W11) as a result of a corruped drive.  As far as I can see these problems are now resolved but I am left with one remaining issue. I can no longer rename files in PS. I can rename in Windows Explorer as normal  but when I try to rename in PS, using right click, the text is highlighted as usual, but when I try to type the new file name I get the error message "invalid type conversion". Can anyone assist please

All this pitiful discontent, and adobe are nowhere. You know what happens when you don't listen to your userbase for long enough? As soon as the next nearest functional thing comes along, they leave in droves.   I've just installed bridge 12.  It works.  What exactly did we gain from the last 2 versions?  What bells and whistles were worth sacrificing usability and stability.  Bridge is not a creative tool. If we were in a workshop it would be a vice: it's not sexy. You just need it to work, but boy do you notice when it doesn't.  It sends a clear message about your entire company and your absence here shouts it louder.  I met a former Adobe employee the other day, he came from macromedia: Back in the days when I was doing his job for him - evangelising adobe products to anyone who would listen.  How the mighty have fallen, but hey who cares about the users, or the products when you have ker-ching!

I have windows 11 Home  22H2 and bridge 14.11.274. Until an hour ago I used window structure filmstip in adobe bridge. two things have happened:I can not access PC, for it says in the content window that  No Items found. This makes searching liited to using the favorites and Folders panel. That is slow.The various panels in the window are not coordinated.  So If II enlage the filmstrip the preview panel  stays the same size.I have reset preferences and rebooted the computer several times.Thank you

you had one job...! 21000 jpegs in a folder.  Xn view can handle it with no problem.  Bridge absolutely chokes.  Its interface becomes unusably slow, moving from one image to the next takes seconds. It doesn't appear to be busy creating thumbnails, and I've left it for hours seeing if it will cache, but its just as useless at the end.  The folder is 180gb.so how big a folder can it handle?  

I showed this bug to Adobe Care who suggested I send it to the community. Would anyone know how to fix this? The metadata fields do not show all the information contained. Look at the video I shared to understand the bug that happens

I am in Bridge 2023. I want to open a file in Photoshop 2023. I double click the image and what happens? It opens in the Preview app of my iMac computer, as though I was using Apple's Finder!! I right click on the image in Bridge and yes, in the top spot for an Open action I see Photoshop 2023. But it's not working. In the 'Open With' set of Application options I see that Preview is designated as the Default. Really? Bridge thinks that I want to use Apple's Preview every time I want to open a file?  One thing to add - I recently stopped using Preview as the Default app to look at PDFs with and am trying out Adobe Reader app. Could this change have caused Bridge to malfunction? Anyway, I should not have to right click on a file inside Bridge in order to make a selection for it to open in Photoshop.  Do I uninstall this version of Bridge or what?

I added about 6,000 photos into a file and they were all fine, but now this one specific file is read only and I can't rotate images and I'm not sure how or why it changed?

Does this latest version resolve the Sandisk CFexpress reader problem. I am reluctant to upgrade just in case there is still a problem.  I am currently using 14.0.2.191.

I just started using bridge 2024 after using a 2018 version for years and never had this problem. I have a new imac oS Sonoma 14.4. When in Bridge it does not always show the correct preview. It is double generating one next to it. The image preview seems lagging after I sort them and move around. I tried emptying the cache, again it's new not used much yet. I am importing jpegs that have been processed in lightroom and I want to sort them in bridge in a certian order, then change the image numbers sequenced. I attached some screen shots.What am I doing wrong?thanks

Hola, hasta hace poco, uaba Bridge para añadir a mis fotos palabras clave, títulos, descripciones, etc. Desde hace unos días, al poner todos estos datos y darle a la opción de aplicar y guardar, no se guardan. A alguien más le pasa? QUe puede ser? Gracias.

Bridge 2023 (version 13.0.0.562) not generating thumbnails or previews for files larger than 1GB even though I have the threshold set at 5GB. After purging the cache and restarting it still doesn't work.

For a couple of weeks, while browsing the jpg files in a folder of mine, I'm noticing that some jpg files are no longer readable and can no longer be used with any software.I verified that the problem is getting bigger and I also tried to move the folder to another hard drive because I assumed that the hard drive was faulty.I tried to uninstall the new version and installed a version 13.1 that had not given me any problems.I scanned my system and there are no viruses, I also performed a scan to correct the hard drive sectors.Now I don't know what to do anymore.Does this happen to anyone of you?

can’t label and tag raw files (NEF)  inside Adobe bridge (and folders) after update to latest Mac os 15.0for example" commad+8 does not work on a (raw/NEF) file only on the folders inside adobe bridge is working but not on the files when opening folders...also it is not possible to label and tag through menu bar..any suggestions? I did uninstall/instal - command/option/shift to reset Bridge no succes so farA.J.P.

Is anyone using the new iCloud drive? I started only recently and found it working quite well for my tasks. But unfortunately it does not show up in the Bridge, which makes it a bit impractical once you have created a few folders. Especially, when you, like me, use the bridge all the time. So I would appreciate if anyone has any information if this is kind of an issue that is already discussed or that might be changed in the future. Or is there a way to solve it? And last but not least, is it an Apple issue or an Adobe one?

I just purchased a new 2021 iMac; running Ventura 13.0. I've installed the latest version of Adobe Bridge, and the thumbnails from my desktop (folders and files) will not load, making the software essentially useless. The spinning pinwheel just goes on for literal hours. I've purged the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, downgraded to the previous version - all to no avail. Anyone have any ideas for a possible fix?   

M1 Macbook Pro, 13.6.7Bridge 14.1.1Seconds after selecting 'quit' nothing happens.On the Bridge Screen in small print it reads: ‘Generating thumbnails… Generating Previews…’Show the Force-Quit menu and Bridge is listed as 'not responding'. Previous versions of Bridge have been substituted—same result.

Hi.M1 studio mac running the latest version of everything.Bridge does not launch period when network share is mounted.Starts in like 4 seconds when no network is mounted.Went through extensive troubleshooting with adobe techs.Can't solve it.Does anyone know of a replacement free or paid?Thanx 

I have found on web, that Bridge doesnt need CC. Can it be somehoaw installed without CC installing into PC? 

For years, I’ve been using Bridge/ACR to access & process files on my network attached storage (NAS). In early April, Bridge turned into a demon spawn - as soon as I direct it to view a folder on the NAS it kills all network access and hangs my machine. It completely clobbers any network traffic, internet too. Killing the process in Task Manager doesn’t work, the only way to recover is a hard reset. (Every other application or file explorer accesses the NAS/internet flawlessly - it is only Bridge/ACR that breaks the network on my machine. Sometimes it will hang on for a few minutes, which allows me to launch an image in ACR, but invariably it kills everything.) Bridge works fine if I access files locally, and it also works fine if I run it over WiFi (although that is PAINFULLY slow). I’d really like it to get it working with the NAS again as that’s where all my files are. Keeping them locally has workflow, storage, and backup implications – especially if I get a backlog.&

Hello!I am new to using the latest version adobe bridge. I tried to export some images from a shared library (I have the editor access)  by drag and drop to the export panel. I have input all details and clicked start export, but it redirected to a new pop up - "export progress - 0 pending jobs"  Please let me know if there's any way to fix this.Thank you! 

In earlier Bride versions there was a checkbox to disable the necessity of pressing Cmd+[key] and getting rid of that additional command. Please see attached screen shot, in earlier version there was a checkbox to disable the necessity of pressing Cmd. Is there a possibility to permanently activate that star rating and colour label are permanently also show in full screen view (that what you get after pressing the space bar)? When will we get a more modern and faster importer with the possibility to sort and group by date, similar to that one in LrC? Missing since years: a filter to switch between displaying of images/videos/images+videos in the importer, all of them, Bride, LrC , Lr. Appreciate any reply.
