Bridge

The last few iterations of bridge (13.0.2 down through 2022 versions) are essenrtially unusable on mac (I cannot speak for all macs, but for me it's on big sur and montery). I know I've read of this "flickering" issue before, but I'd like to know if there's been any news on that front or if it's been reported. When trying to use bridge to view raw files, upon hitting spacebar to view full screen, the image begins to kind of flickr. Not a screen issue, it seems more like an effect issue - like the initial flickr you get when viewing full screen gets stuck and just keeps blinking which makes it impossible to view images. The other issue that I've heard before and, again, am wondering about, is the excessive cpu usage of bridge 2023 (on mac, at least). While running bridge and with no tasks going on or previews being built, the mac's fan will get loud and the activity monitor will show that bridge is using like 500% cpu. Between those 2 issues, and the fact that delete and fill is missing

Before updating to Bridge 13.0.2.636 and Mac Ventura, my workflow was to Plug in the SD card, open Bridge, import all the files converting them to DNG files in the process, then doing a batch rename. Now after getting a new Macbook, updating the OS to Ventura, then installing Bridge13.0.2.636 I can't find any reference or tools to continue this workflow. Why can't I continue to convert my new downloads to DNG files in the import process?

I have updated to Bridge 2023 and lost most of my previews for  Rhino Files - just gettng the Rhino software icon. I have tried a number of settings (software rendering on and off, clearing cache). I may not understand how to truly clear the cache. If I continually work in a folder,  it eventually changes overs to previews. I have about 3,000 relativly small Rhino files in folders. Is there a way to just make this happen all at once? I have this issue everytime I update Bridge. Also, Bridge's  search often just doesnt work. I can type the name of the file into the search bar and it won't find it. But if I just sort by name the exact same text is there in the file name. This is a constant issue. Thoughts on this? It is probably obvious that I am not a tech support perons :), but it sounds like some sort of indexing issue? 🙂

Hi guys, I don't know if it's just me, but I cannot set "Use Current Folder" option in the Source section when editing Smart Collection. I have a bunch of smart collections imported from Bridge 2022 with the source set as "use current folder", they all still work without any problem in the 2022 version, but when I use them in Bridge 2023 it changes the source to some random folder on my disk called "moodboard" (don't know why this particular). When I try to edit and change it to "use current folder" and then hit save nothing really changes. When I use this collection again it's this freaking random "moodboard" folder listed again. And the same happen with every other collection that had set "use current folder" as a source.

What happened to Bridge? Used it for years; loved it. Now it sux in so many ways on both my long term desktop and my new laptop.  Crashes, freezes, files not being copied or moved.  It's always something. Can we scrap a few updates or something and go back to previous release? Or something.  Please.  I'm about ready to give up on Bridge.

Cześć. Pracuję na apple pro m1 i praktycznie od roku czasu jak go używam sporadycznie pojawiają mi się problemy z wyświetleniem zdjęć. Zdjęcia nie ładują się w pełni. obraz miga i dzieją się cuda. Apple twierdzi, że problem jest po stronie adobe bo z ich testów ( komputer był w serwisie ) wynika że wszystko jest ok. błędy nie występują poza programami z adobe. Te same kłopoty są w photoshopie i lightroom. Czy ktoś się spotkal z takim problemem? Pomocy

This is the opposite of everything I find when searching for a solution.I've just installed Photoshop+Lightroom and now every time I double click an image from within Bridge, it opens in PS. Which I do NOT want. I want it to open in Microsoft Photos because I use it as a quick control of image quality. Going into file association I can't find the "Photos App" and Windows won't let Bridge go into the folder it's located.... (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps) Uninstalling PS...it opens in Lightroom. Uninstalling LR...I can open it like I want again. The file association is now "none". But I can't set it to "none" when I have PS/LR installed...Reset to default also doesn't do what I want with PS/LR installed. So.....how do I do what I want?

I've just seen a YouTube video in which the author, a MAC user, is able to use "Open With" from Bridge to run a Photoshop plugin on a file without using Photoshop.I've tried this on a Windows PC and "Open With" does not show a list of Photoshop plugins that are installed on my PC. Is this feature just something that is available for MAC only

I updated to Bridge 2023, and now, frequently, I will open a folder and see doubles of every image. Selecting one images highlights both same-named images — and then they both un-select on their own.  Restarting the program will fix it, but it always seems to come back. 

Is anyone else having issues getting to the "Image Processor" tool bar drop down from Camera Raw?The top menu items (Image, Layer, Type, Select, Filter) are inaccessible in both .DNG and jpeg files.All software is currently up to date. (Posted April 3rd, 2023).

"Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature." Hello,When I try to open a file with Camera Raw, the error above shows up. Although opening the Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop works! Also double clicking a Raw file in Bridge will open the Camera Raw window, but if I try to edit a jpg file for example (right click, open in Camera Raw), the error will appear.I'm using the newest versions of all CC 2020 applications on Mac OS 10.13. All earlier reported solutions with older Adobe versions did not work out for me. Reinstalled all the applications, opening Bridge through Photoshop also doesn't work.Thanks a lot for your help, much appreciated!

Ich versuche verzweifelt, einen großen Bilderordner mit 250 GB Datenvolumen (36.633 Dateien) in Bridge 2023 zu bearbeiten. Dabei bereitet es schon erhebliche Mühe, die richtige Sortierreihenfolge zu erstellen. Außerdem sind zahlreiche Dateien, die ich eigentlich löschen wollte, nicht gelöscht worden. Jedenfalls sind sie nach einem Programmabbruch wegen Freeze des Programms und nachfolgendem Neustart wieder in der Datei erschienen.

I have a folder of images labled Zoom. I decided to rename it 1.Zoom and Adobe Bridge deleted all the photos in the folder and converted it to a Zoom meeting link. - Thanks Adobe, my next 3 hours of work are for you!

Can you please help to know how to convert old Bridge version .workspace into currently used .xml?

I have a SharePoint folder synced to my OneDrive that has graphics stored in folders numerically (i.e. 001 Graphic Title, 002 Graphic title etc). I want to view all the graphics here visually, so I went to the folder, selected "Show items from subfolders" and waited for it to find everything. Having done this, I see that it's not actually showing all files. The list of graphics starts from 003, so the contents of folders 001 and 002 aren't shown. If I double click into these folders, Bridge will show me the files in there. What's going on here?

Bridge 13.0.3.693Windows 10 – latest versionNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB - with two monitors Flickering in full screen.  If I revert to Bridge 13.0.2.636 then the flickering stops.  I have not seen flickering in earlier versions of Bridge.  It began with Bridge 13.0.3 No other applications on the PC see flickering.  It is only Bridge 13.0.3 in full screen.

Hi everyone, I hope you can help me out with a problem I am having. I'm not sure why this is happening but whenever I try to use the photodownloader in bridge to remove my photos from my SD card the thumbnails for some of the images appear glitched. They still seem to be perfectly fine files and work fine with everything ive tried it just makes me uneasy seeing the glitched thumbnails. downloader also for whatever reason no longer will fully see all of the images on the card right away. Instead now i am foreced to use the "get photos from" dropdown and hit "refresh list" once if not multiple times before it shows the full ammount of phots on the card. Obviously this could be a problem with my card but i have no idea how to figure out if its the card of photo downloader so i figured i would ask here. The first image below is just to show that downloader is to displaying the full ammount of files on the card and the second image shows the full ammount of images on the card. Thanks!

I can open and run mov-files from the iPhone in all the video editing software (AE, Premiere, even Photoshop). I can also transcode them in the encoder. So the codec has to be available to CC.Yet, bridge can neither preview nor run the files. Why, and can I fix it? (installing dodgy free codec packs isn't an option I want to try).

With the new 2022 Bridge 13.0 I experience an annoying behaviour when I move files from the current folder to another folder in the folder list by dragging and dropping. After dropping the files the folder list automagically jumps to the top. Therefore I need to scroll down again, to move the next files to the directory. Very annoying! Can't the view just stay the same after dropping? It doesn't make any sense to scroll to the top after files were dropped to a folder.I think this wasn't the case in the last version.Not really an error but a usability problem.

I downloaded Bridge v. 13.0.3.693 this morning. It opened files on my desktop, but tried it on my external drive, I got a blank screen. Anyone know the fix?

Adobe Bridge - Photo Downloader cannot download images as there is no Source box.The a system error: Photodownloader.exe appears."The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR100.dll was not found".I have reinstalled Bridge but this has not rectified the problem. I am using Window 11 on a PC.

I have been moving my raw and processed files to a Raid 5 Synology NAS for storage.  Bridge does not seem to see the network drives or give me the option to browse them and open files as I normally would.  How can I fix this?  This is a major issue for my workflow.  (I can open individual files using File>Open in PS but I need the ability to preview multiple files and manage them through Bridge.)  I am running the latest CC versions of Bridge (10.0.4.157), ACR (12.2.1)  and Photoshop (21.1.3) on a Windows 10 platform.

Hello everyone;I am having issue with Synology Drive. I am seeing this issue with only JPEG files.  Bridge can generate previews for RAW file but not for JPEG files. I have to pin JPEG files to local then Bridge can generate preview.I have seen some old posts which I checked out. Did not help. SOmehow my issue is related to JPEG files only.My System is WIndows 10 and 11. I see the same issue for both.I would appreciate if anyone has any idea. Thank you.
