Bridge

Install of v14 broke my main reason for opening Bridge... to run a very simple custom output module template.  It's not recognized in v14.  I reinstalled v13 and it wont work there either now.  The computer involved is an M1 Mini, Ventura 13.5.2. Ive used the same template reliably for many years on numerous versions through the last v13 version without any issues.  I haven't upgraded the Bridge install (13.0.4.755 on my laptop (M1 Air, Ventura 13.5.2.). Same template works fine there.  Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?Thanks!Bob Smith

I cannot speak for all photographers. But for me, the Review mode in Bridge was always a waste of space. Here it is:Can I change the size of the displayed image on screen? No. Can I zoom in on it? Only using the utterly useless loupe to pixel peep. Can I display the exposure information? The ISO? The focal length? ANYTHING other than the filename? No. Thus in version 12 and earlier I used the Slideshow to review my images instead. At least that way I got the whole image on screen AND I got exposure information as well. I didn't get any control over WHAT information was shown, but at least this was more useful than a filename.  Now let's look at the same image presented in version 13:Soooo now, you have NO way of reviewing photos and being able to see the exposure information (not to mention any of the other metadata fields which you SHOULD be able to display at your discretion, but hey, it's an Adobe product, so....) Am I missing something or is this yet another Ado

Hi,       I am unable to use sorting (alphabetical order) while keywording in Adobe Bridge 11.1.1.185, Which I was able to use on Adobe Bridge CS5. All the settings seems fine and almost similar to Adobe Bridge CS5. Please find attached screenshots for reference. I am using Windows 10 pro (64 Bit)

When in batch rename Adobe Bridge is generating the file name but also changing the images to a document file...This just randomly started and I have not adjusted any settings. How to fix?

I have been using the subscription for several years and am fastidious about upgrading when I receive notifications. Since upgrading to the latest version of Bridge (11.1.4.213), I am unable to batch process any files in Photoshop because of the error message "Install latest version of Photoshop to continue..." I have confirmed that I am using the latest version of Photoshop (23.5.1), and have re-installed the latest version, to no avail. I am using a late-2013 27"inch iMac, running OS Catalina (10.15.7). Please help!

Digi-tech at Anthropologie here, running 4 sets a day.  At the end of the day, we use Bridge to manually sort shoots and output a pdf for company review.  Its been working fine for a year, but all of sudden Bridge will no longer allow us to manually sort images.  The blue line will appear, but files will not move.  Some images will, but others are just stuck in place.  We preferred Bridge 22, but when this issue arose, I updated to 24, and the same problem persists.  I've tried clearing the cache.  Please help, this is a huge issue for us!  Screen recordings attached of issue on 22 and 24.  

In Bridge 2023 (Version 13.0.0.562) when I rearrange files to sort and order them manually, it does not move the images. The blue line comes up to indicate where the file should move to, but after release, the files remain where they are. I have selected and unselected "ascending order" I have manually selected "manual" in the sort order. These do not seem to work. It appears to work when looking in a folder directly, but doesn't work if I am viewing a smart folder. Cheers

Seit der neusten Bridge 2024 und Photoshop 2024, fehlt bei Bridge unter Werkzeuge Photoshop. Auch kann man nicht von Photoshop zu Bridge wechseln. Die Startskripte scheinen leer zu sein. Bridge habe ich neu installiert.

I am using an M1 Silicon Mac Studio pro 32 gigs of ram, and My photography editing workflow is, to download my card with Adobe PhotoDownloader in Bridge, then star my keepers, then sort by stars, and double click on each one to edit it in A.C.R.  I seldom even need PhotoShop because I shoot well.  🙂   I reveled when Adobe took Bridge V14.0.0.102 out of BETA, and made it a general release.I quickly deleted my Bridge BETA, and PhotoShop beta and went with the actual release versions now.  Suddenly I noticed a much slower response when launching Bridge, and it was loading my images slower, and even slower processing them out when I asked it to EXPORT to my already made export presets I've always used.  BTW, I am VERY GRATEFUL you finally gave me back my ability to export to .JPG instead of JPEG.  That was a wonderful restoration. After struggling checking Bridge and ACR settings and finding nothing out of the ordinary, I simply returned/re-l

Hi therte, i want to batch rename images. I want to remove all digits after the first 7 digits / only keep the forst 7 digits. Any idea or a expression how to handle it with batch reame in adobe bridge? Many thanks!

After viewing a folder of images then closing the window, I can not later drag & drop a folder of images to bridge. It is completely unresponsive unless I quit the program and start over. On a related note, my preferred behaviour would be to drag & drop multiple folders then have them each open in a separate window.

Really wish we could just have the system font for the interface in Bridge 2023 (as in all previous versions). The Adobe font is uglier, harder to read, and, who knows, may even have a miniscule effect on perfomance. Why not an option to opt out of Adobe's corporate typeface for our file names, folders, filters, and keywords? (Regarding readability, I have tried increasing type size, but the very limited options are either 'Too Big' or 'Too Small'.)

Photoshop is not listed under the tools menu in Bridge 2023 instead I have process collection in Photoshop. Photoshop is listed in Bridge 2022 though. How do I get it back? I added a screen capture of both tools menus.

Hello all, I have a folder of around 800 files that have a sequence number, but they are documents with front and back pages. For example, file 001.tif is the front side of the document, and file 002.tif is the back. I'd like to name these files where the even filenames (back sides) looks like 001_a.tif, or some variation that would make it known that the image is part of the previous file. That way I would have 001 and 001_a. I'm guessing a work around would be selecting every other file then batch renaming those with a sequence number and adding the _a? But is there any way to do this rename without manually selecting every other file? Any advice would be appreciated!Jen

I am on Windows 11.  Adobe Bridge will not recognize my card reader in a usb.  I researched and found answers for mac but nothing for Windows 11.  Any suggestions?

In the current Bridge 2024 (Win11) the filter doesn't work correctly:I've a folder with 4200 files in it.4191 jpegs and 8 MP4The filter only shows the JPEG files - and not the 8 mp4.I cleared the cache - didn't help.  

Good morning,For some time now, after deleting a photograph with backspace and pressing the arrow to display the next photograph, it jumps forward two photographs. Forcing me to have to go back, view the photograph and then resume moving forward. This happens every time I delete one.Obviously this is not a major problem, it's more of an annoyance and I was wondering if there was a way to solve it.Thank you all 🙂

This is happening again with Bridge Beta 14.0.0.94. *sigh* How does stuff like this get fixed, then broken again?Adobe Photo Dowloader has amnesia. Set everything like you want, and poof...next time I try to import photos from a card with Photo Downloader...it forgot all the settings. It's like a fresh installation of bridge! Please fix this!!! 

Hi! I wonder, as I have a Thunderbolt connection from my MBPro to my iMac 2019, why I cannot see the external disks at MBP _in Bridge_ attached to iMac, as they are _visible_ in the Mac Finder in MBP. This is a problem, as I'm using MBP in with combination with iMac  Regards, Tuomas

I am receiving the message, "GPU Acceleration Disabled" when running Bridge. This message began appearing in the past few days even though I have not changed the my system or the version of Bridge I am running. When I go to Camera Raw preferences, I receive the message, "Camera Raw graphics acceleration is not supported by your system." Here is my computer/system configuration:iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)OS is 12.6.9 (Monterey)Bridge Version 13.04.755Camera Raw Version 15.5.1.1597Do you have any ideas of what might be happening? Two problems with updated Bridge on Mac with Ventura OS:  Bridge does not recognize my iPhone 13; and Bridge will not let me select photos to download from my camera -- I go to Advanced Settings, but the Select button is grayed out.  When I try to cancel, that button is grayed out too.  (I did not have these problems on an older Mac with 2020 versions of Bridge and Photoshop).
