Bridge

This is a regular problem I have been having with batch rename. If I need to rename very many files or the same files again because I made a typo or something else silly like a had a photo out of queue, batch rename will freeze indefinitely and then I have to close adobe bridge out entirely, force close it, and then start all over and there is no telling if it will work if I try it again. This has been happening for MONTHS. I am a full time photographer and I am at my wit's end with Bridge. As useful of a tool as it CAN be, the hiccups are starting to outweight the benefits. On a Macbook pro 2019 version on Venture 13.4. 

Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8 In List View, columns are poorly justified. They should either have a fixed indent or be left-justified, column headers can be centered or left-justified. But please make it consistent as it just looks terrible and is confusing now.

I can not figure out what I did.  I select a photo, hit the space bar for full screen and if I right click on the photo it now magnifies to 200% instead of the 100%,help!

I have lost my images on bridge. I dont have another copy of the images I lost. I saved them in the same folder after renaming them under adobe bridge rename batch. Now it make the original photos blank with no images on them. Can someone please help? Please do not take this down. I need assistance. Can someone help to recover these images back to a jpeg? DO NOT TAKE THIS DOWN UNTIL I HAVE AN ANSWER!

Hi, is there a way to - or a workaround - to preview old adobe illustrator v.8.0.1 files in Bridge 2023? Thanks

Bridge 13.0.0.562New with this release, virtually every time I open any folder (including one that I've been working in for days) I get a popup recommending I purge cache now.  I click on it, a popup appears saying it's purging cache.  But...The popup always comes up with the progress bar at 25%, stays that way for about 8 seconds, then disappears.  Every time.  The progress bar never moves from the initial 25%. And by the way, Bridge performance is worse than ever.  Every time I open a folder (again, even one that I've been working in for days) Bridge immediately starts consuming over 99% CPU.  And getting Bridge to do anything is slow and painful.  Lots of white screens with "Bridge is not repsonding," no ability to scroll up or down, etc.  And when I edit a file in PS, it takes upwards of 30 seconds for the PSD to appear in Bridge. All of which is to say that Bridge is wasting a LOT of my time. I9-11900KWindows 10 latest release

With Bridge having sadly discontinued its handy feature to produce an HTML-based online gallery, saved locally, has anyone found a useful replacement? I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks to some third party as long as they had the earlier features displaying a thumbnail index with links to each picture with a caption posted from the image's meta description. Anbody found anything to recommend?

Hello all,I have a folder structure that looks like below, shoot-name-for-client-A  photo  video When I want to export, I thus cannot use the Folder Name template to rename the exported files since it creates names like "photo-xyz" instead of what I want "shoot-name-for-client-A-xyz". Is there a template for upper level folders? If not I also saw that there was something called Shoot Name that is set during the import, since I have around 100K pictures already imported, is that possible to set this after an import? In any case "Shoot name" doesn't show up among available templates but I'm hoping that it will once it is set in the metadatas or something. Thanks for any help.

Hi all, I am not sure if Adobe understands this issue, reportedly fixed in 13.0.4 but to me still an issue.Maybe I am doing something wrong.I have about 100 files in a folder marked RAW and about the same number in a folder marked JPG.If I select the last file in the RAW folder panel, then navigate in the folder panel to the JPG panel, then navigate back to the RAW folder in the folder panel, the panel jumps to the first file in the RAW folder. This slows down my workflow as I have to scroll down to the needed file. Regards, Steve   

I have an iMac running Monterey (12.6.8) and when I try to use photo downloader to download images from my CFExpress card I am getting "No Device Found".  It works fine with my XQD card in the same drive (the drive reads both types of cards).  I can browse thru finder and copy the files manually no problem but I would like to have the photo downloader functionality because I use it to convert filenames, types, and add meta information.  And although I've tried to just create presets to do the same function, oddly enough some of the same tasks I can do with photo downloader can't be done with presets. I have also tried with the latest Beta of bridge and receive the same results.

Creative Cloud has been working fine for me for a number of years but now Adobe Bridge 2023 is almost destroying my ability to carry out any task on my Mac Mini. I quit Bridge and then it reopens itself after about 40 seconds. I think I might have to stop using Creative Cloud if this continues. How can I uninstall Creative Cloud or at least Bridge? 

Hi - I've found something similar on here from some time ago, but altering the code has stumped me. Our naming convention is follows this pattern :  MMC-1234_20200304_123456. We'd like to take everything before the first underscore (MMC-1234) and insert that into the IPTC Title field.  I have a script from an earlier post that does something similar, but I've tried to learn how to update the code without luck. I'll post it here in case it's just a line or two change. I updated Bridge and Camera Raw and now I can`t  see preview of raw files (nef, arw and raf). There is only a preview for jpgs.  See attached. That´s awul. Can you help ? Thx.

Hello dear community,as far as I can remember, I could zoom in with a left click in the image preview and zoom out again with another left click.Now I can only zoom in and have to use the mouse wheel to zoom out. Is there a possibility to change back to the old behavior?

I have been selecting images in Bridge and using the tools> Photoshop> photomerge, image processor, etc for decades. Now thery are gone. WHY????? Now there is "auto collections" instead. It is a ridiculous overcomplication to my workflow. Perhaps it is useful to some. But, why take away such a great and simple way to process images with photoshop without having to open them. I would really like some answers.I can appreciate adding new features, but it is not right to take away ones that works so well, unless it makes your job easier and bettert.Bob Swanson

Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8. All images shown are on internal SSD. Changing options for displaying transparency/grid are inconsistent and the thumbnail incorrectly changes from showing to not showing the grid and transparency. Clearing cache fixes the thumbnail grid display intermittently but it reverts if options are changed.Note the differences between preview and thumb, the grey background vs white vs grid. 

We tried to reset the view settings of the folder to default. We tried resetting the setting of the File Explorer to default. We tried resetting the preference of the VLC app as well but still in File Explorer, some videos show thumbnails and some do not even though all of them have .mp4 extension/format. It works on a macbook pro but need it to work on windows (Win 10 Pro v 22H2)

Whenever I double click any type of video file Apple TV opens up with a strange pop up window and then plays the file full screen on another window. I do not want to open Apple TV - ever.  There are no file type associations for Apple TV. What can we do here? I've also included a screenshot of the Apple TV window that opens along with the video. Not a cool, professional workflow. I'm in Adobe Bridge 2023 info below. Apple M1 Ventura 13.4.1

When browsing audio files in Bridge, if you try to rename the file, you get an error stating the file is open in another process.  I bet you it's because of the audio preview in Bridge.  Ridiculous that these two critical features in Bridge conflict with each other.  Is there a fix in sight for this? 

anyone know why i don't see preview and can't use camera raw for editing this happens a few days ago. thanks for help

I just posted recently and now none of my TIFFS are showing up in Adobe Bridge preview.  I tried all the tips I have read here and nothing seems to work.  I even uninstalled and downloaded an earlier version but nothing has worked.  It only worked the first day I installed it then has been a problem ever since.  PLEASE HELP!! Thanks.
