When I first started looking at the Metadata it included way more information that I wanted to scroll through and so I went in to preferences and unchecked many of them. But two that were really important to me were "Description" and "Keywords" under Attributes. After unchecking the ones I didn't want but leaving those two and several others checked I get the Metadata panel you see on the right of the image above. You will see that neither "Description" nor "Keywords" is there. You will see in the image that the Attributes section is not there at all. Incidentally, the Description and Keywords was there in the original panel before I adjusted the preferences. What did I do to mess this up? How can I get those fields to show up? I am on a PC with Windows 10.Thanks so much for any help.
Novice question: I am able to interactively edit all the metadata fields I want in Adobe Bridge, except for two fields. Right clicking a JPG file in Windows displays the attached metadata properties. I can find all of them for interactive editing in Adobe Bridge, except for the two highlighted in yellow, "Subject" and "Comments". How to I find these two fields in Bridge, what are they called, and how to I interactively edit them in Bridge? I am using Windows 10 and the default install of Bridge 12.0.1.246.
is it possible?
I just bit the bullet and took the subscription, since my CS6 stand-alone won't work in my new computer. Initial impressions: NOT GOOD!!!For instance, I bring up a folder of shots. How many are there? Doesn't tell me. Will I be working with 10 or 100 files? It's good to know sometimes.Camera Raw is AWFUL! CS6 had operations in a row on the top; now they're all over the place. Again, no indication of progress.Etc.Is there any way to convert this awful interface to something like a "legacy" Bridge and Camera Raw?(Don't get me started on the new Photoshop!)
Hi,I want to desinstall Adobe Bridge CC 2017.But when i lauch the uninstaller program i have this message :"L’app « KBRG_7_0 » doit être mise à jour."Le développeur de cette app doit la mettre à jour pour qu’elle fonctionne avec cette version de macOS. Contactez le développeur pour en savoir plus. Can someone help me ?Regards.
Hi, I'm scanning some old slides using my trusted coolscan V. I use bridge to (in bulk) change some metadata. Whenever I try to change the "date created" to 1975 it does not accept the input. I have to make it 1980, commit and then use the up/down controls to select 1975. Maybe Adobe can pick this up and fix it. Clearly a bug. Thanks. Leo
Just as the subject says - Bridge batch rename feature is buggy to the point of unusable. Even after resetting prefs as per the ctrl+alt+shft thing when opening Bridge. Cheers. 🙂
The depth of knowledge in this community amazes me. I have recently begun to use Bridge again, but this time for managing my videos. Is there a way to conduct a search, by keyword, or filename or other searchable data but only for my videos even if they are in different folders, subfolders, and even different drives? If so, how. If you can tell me or point me to a tutorial video or instructions I would be very grateful!TIA.P.S. I am using Bridge CC 2022 on a PC, if that matters.
Tools and Place dont work with Photoshop 2022.Can anyone help?
Search doesnt work for all kinds of criteria in newly created folders after I updated Windows to w11. Is there a worklaround for this?
Adobe Bridge no muestra las miniaturas de los Nef Raw de Nikon D750. Si los dirige y abre en Camera Raw. Qué puedo hacer?
So with the CC updates, that I feel like are an extortion scheme, I now find that with my new camera I had no thumbnails for anything. I updated and was able to see the RAW files but not the videos. They can be viewed in Nikon's free program and played as well, but in CC Bridge of Photoshop, just a box, can't play nor add data. As at some point I use a custom program to extract the metadata to add to my database, this is a major problem. Windows media, also free can play the videos but I can't do anything in CC.
If a user has only Adobe Bridge installed (which I believe can be obtained 'free') ie. No Photoshop, no Lightroom, no ACR! Will Bridge display RAW photo files (as edited) IF they are accompanied by an XMP sidecar file that includes those edits ? This statement at - https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/metadata-adobe-bridge.html would suggest it is possible. The question arises from a user that cancels a subscription (and loses access to Ps, Lr, ACR), but has saved metadata XMP to the RAW file images.
I have an iMac 2020, new a few months ago. I've copied my Bridge Collections folder from my iMac 2017 to my new one (User (your username)/ Library/ Application Support / Adobe/ Bridge <previous version>/ Collections). I've added Read/Write permissions to all users of the Collections folder. iOS 11.6.1 on both iMacs (prefer to not upgrade iOS until major bugs get corrected). Bridge 2022 is listed & checked in Full Disk Access & listed in Files & Folders in the Security & Privacy window. I've closed Bridge (3-4 times, after the steps listed earlier). I've restarted my iMac. But my list of collections is still not visible in Bridge. I'd appreciate any other thoughts on how to resolve this issue. Thank you.
In Bridge 12.0.1.246, the side panels in my workspace are hidden whenever I minimize Bridge or go over to any other program and then return to Bridge. This has been a problem for a long time, not just in the current version. I can click and slide the edges and get the panels back, but it's quite a nuisance. I am on Windows 11, but the problem existed in Windows 10 as well.
We are looking for ways to improve our workflow for a team of 33 designers. This shared cache system came up in talks as an option for speeding up and improving Bridge. I'm looking for any feedback, positive or negative, about your expeirence with the this cache system. Just some specs. We have an image database in a cloud that all designers access remotely. We add images to this database twice a month, so the cache would have to be updated and synced to each designer 2 times a month. With this transition more metadata and tags will be added to images to increase searchablity. Thanks for any feedback you may have. Dave
Hi,On my Adobe Bridge (latest version) when I choose a file, al the file properties are blank for some reason and I don't know why.I'm working on an Asus laptop with updated windows 10 64bit.How can I get my properties back? Thanks 🙂
I am taking a Photoshop class and we are using Bridge and Camera Raw for the first time. I get my photos from class in a file and download them to my desktop and then open them in Bridge, but they will hid themselves without me even doing anything, unless I somehow am doing something I don't know I am. The only way to get them to reappear is to close everything and redownload the file and open it again. I was workign on editing some photos and they disappeared again, so I had to start all over again. It happened again after I was almost done with the assignment and now I am back to not seeing any edited photos, with all of them hidden except for one. I can show hidden files from the view menu but it only shows me this, and i cannot see or open the photos.
I always see my mac and my backup in bridge. Today bridge don't open my backup.
When I try to make a contact sheet in bridge and select the files... in Bridge>Tool>Photoshop> Contact SHeet> it doesnt show that any of my files are selected, when they are selected in Bridge.
I admit I never really needed to use Bridge for most of my career. But now I do and when i try to see the 100's of stock images i have I am limited to seeing only the first bit of them, why because I have no scroll bar? and no matter what view i use I have no scroll bar. Checked preferences for a setting but no luck. This can't be right. Searched the forum and the web and found others with this problem but no fixes. Windows 10 64 Bit Bridge 10.0.3.138 Nvidia RTX 2080 on HP Omen i9 Laptop Any ideas? TIA {Thread renamed by moderator}
Hi I delete a keyword on some of my files. I launch a Search on that keyword. If I select one at the time Description, Filename, Keywords… the files will not appear in the Search Results. But if I select All Metadata, the files appear in the Search Results as if that keyword is present in the files, but it's not.How is that possible?
Hello, I have a problem with a javascript (extendscript) I wrote for AI, PS, ID and IC. See https://www.behance.net/gallery/134777275/Javascript-for-AI-PS-and-ID-restore-files-from-CClib To get it run in Bridge as well I added "target bridge". AI and PS will ignore this line, but ID and IC will start the Bridge instead to run it in ID or IC. I created two versions: one for AI, PS, ID and IC (without #target) and one for Bridge (with #target). But I think, that can't be the best solution, can it? If there no #if #else like in C++ to check which #target is the right one? – j.
De repente he dejado de ver el nombre de los archivos. Sabe alguien por qué?
Photoshop 2022 23.1 / Bridges 2022 12.01.0Layered files (tiffs) do not show any layer that is added from my library in the Bridge preview. If i purge cache, the correct preview loads (alto it's blurry) then reverts.
