Bridge

hi i edited and rated photos then comand + drag photos from bridge into another finder folder and now when i open those images in bridge i no longer see the edits i made or the ratings. this was never an issue until i got bridge 2021 update. how do i fix this?

MacOS Mohave 10.14.6 Bridge 2021 11.0.1.109 I have had this problem occur in previous versions of Bridge (2018) so always dread upgrading and unfortunately forget how the heck I solved this problem in years past ... although I vaguely remember trying a number of different suggestions and stumbling on a solution - clearly something that Adobe should work on making far easier if at all possible.  When using the 'Find" function, Bridge simply will not reliably find photo files that have specific keywords attached to them. It will find a few but then stops dead in in its tracks and will not continue to scan through the drive and its many subfolders. I have check boxed that it should check all subfolders and non indexed files. I notice that if I manually view files that I know have this specific keyword, that on subsequent searches it will now show those photos, presumably because thay are now indexed. Why then will Bridge not start searching, alpha numerically

I discovered a new problem in Topaz when several in a selection only showed silhouettes.  I went and opened in Adobe and they were only showing the alpha channel.  Apparenly I had used years ago when wanted to change the background.  I dragged the alpha channel to the garbage and resaved with -1 added after the name.  I created an action and recorded deleting the alpha channel, saving to the file name with -1 added (in case I might want the original) and then closing.  However I found no new files, as it used the name of the example used, with -1 added and saved them all with the same name, overwriting each time.  If I hadn't used the -1 they would have saved with their own name, but then I wouldn't have the original.   So Zenfolio uncovered some with alpha channels, but I didn't run a lot through that before uploading to my site and then I found 7 more such silhouettes.  This took about an hour of extra work to write down their ID numb

I am running PS 22.1.0 on my Mac 10.14.6. I have always used Bridge, but after some updates, my Bridge 9.1.0.338 is not compatible with the Camera Raw plugin. My creative cloud list of updates doesn't show one for my version of Bridge.

HiWhen I try to export RAW files into JPG, export job is posted and visible in the export progress window but NOTHING happens at all. No error message, no progress... Bridge Version 10.0.2.131. Any idea about this behavior? Are there any log files to analyse?Regards René

Hello!Why can't I use batch rename? I select the files I want to batch rename click the batch rename button the menu appears i configure it but the button "rename" doesn't become available. I already uninstaled and re-installed and nothing. Why?Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Before I go further on my keyword list, I think I should back up and ask if Bridge is the way for me to go.  Ultimately I want to publish some books for family members, a combination of photos, genealogy and stories.  I plan to use Mixbook.  I have old family photos which I will scan myself as I don’t want to let them out of my hands.  With those added to already scanned and digital images, I will have a total around 2500 to 3000 covering 1870 to present, although the last ten years are in the Photos app.  I will get them out gradually and put them in folders on my Mac desktop arranged by year.  They can stay put for now. My plan was to rename each image manually, so they sort chronologically, and add keywords.  After that I would gather them by groups into collections for each project, through keyword searching.  I was planning to use Photoshop Elements to spruce up some of the old ones, but not dramatically.  I really don’t want to co

I started using Topaz denoise and a strange problem arises.  In the description field, I have a scientific name followed with 2 spaces by common name.  ie. Canis domesticus  DOMESTIC DOG.   At some point in the past I had the reverse,  DOMESTIC DOG  Canis domesticus.  The order is important, because I use captions which take this in galleries and sort species alphabetically.  So when I go through a folder of tiff in Topaz, making individual changes, I find that many, sometimes almost half change from the present order to a previous order, and also I noticed one had the keywords change.  In a family folder, there may be slide scans, or digital shots but the type or date doesn't seem to matter.  I saw some from 1997 or 2002 that didn't change. In another case, I saw that the location was missing in the metadata and added that and sublocation.  When the operations were completed, I saw that the location and sublocation data

I used to love Image Processor Pro, which made this a snap. Now it seems that the only option is to create an action for each size desired. Why doesn't Image Processor allow you to change the reolution? It's just plain stupid not to have this feature. Am i missing something, or is this a glaring oversight?

INCREASINGLY URGENT I have downloaded v11.0.1 of Bridge. Every time I open it, I get a message that reads "We cannot verify your subscription service". I have doublechecked that I am online and I have tried to follow the various Help suggestions. None of them seem to work. In addition, I have no idea what the message means, especially as Bridge is/was free. All of this is taking up too much time. Is there an easy/quick way round this problem? If not, I will simply uninstall version 11.0.1 and revert back to the previous version which worked fine. Thank you

I'm using the new Bridge on my new Macbook Pro; however I can't read  the folders through documents? The Bridge can read the folders which are on the desktop. What is turned off so I can't read the folders from the documents in Bridge? Thanks if you can help! [Personal email removed by moderator]

Just starting in Bridge.  Using a Mac.  Not using the Photos app.  I want to individually (not batch) rename my images.  I do not have thousands and I have developed a convention which I like.  It seems that this is easier to do via finder than within Bridge - fewer clicks.  I have done no work in Bridge so far.  Just have built my keyword list and am experimenting.  I was planning to rename the images and add keywords at the same time within Bridge.  But it appears easier to do this within each folder outside of Bridge.  Am I missing a downside?  Thank you.

I'm experiencing an issue where when I'm in Bridge it will cache a folder as normal. It will cache any folder I'm in like normal. The problem arises when I exit Bridge. At that point it seems to delete any cache that was created during that session. When I open it again it'll be on the folder that I left off at and it will start the task of rebuilding the cache. Crazy thing is I can go into Windows Explorer and look at the shared.cache folder in the folder I'm using and see .png files. Bridge just ignores them when it lauches again. I've done a few things trying to resolve this. I've changed the default location for the cache to a folder I created. I've attempted to Build and Export Cache for folders and subfolders. It appears to be doing this (all 58000 files!) and then once again it all seems to disappear after I close Bridge. I've tried purging the cache and then exporting it all again.I've tried two different physical hard drives and the bug is the same on both.&nbsp

I took approx 1200 images last weekend.  Uploaded to desktop computer no issues using canon eos program.  On viewing in BRIDGE all were ok until I got to approx 600th image and from there all are extremely pixelated.  If I open any into photoshop, they are fine, It is just BRIDGE where the issue lies.Attempts to fix the issue including shutting the computer down fully and restarting.Performing updates for the adobe suite which included bridgeSplitting the folder where the images were located into 600images in each folderNothing has resolved this issue Any suggestions please?   thankyou

Hey, is it just me or...I was trying to move photos named 1.jpg 2.jpg and 3.jpg from folder A to folder B which also has the files using just the same name but complete different photos(1/2/3.jpg), and I realized instead of poping a window to let me choose whether to replace the flie or rename the files or skip moving them, Bridge would just replace all the files in folder B using the files in folder A. Is there anyway to make a change or am I using it wrongly? Thanks

Hello,in our Studio we switched Systems (to iMacs) and with it to the newest Adobe Suite of Bridge and Photoshop from CS6.Now i ran into some very annoying workflow issues. 1. When copying a Pictures from one Folder into another in Bridge, i create a new Folder inside with an articelnumber for those Images. The arcticelnumber in my clipboard gets overridden with the path/address of the images i just wanted to copy. The articelnumber are quiet long and are used often so I want to keep them in my clipboard for quick copy-and-paste. 2. when i want to export RAWs from Bridge to JPGs via Camera RAW 13.1 and maybe do some adjustments, I select all Images with CMD+A and save them with CMD+S into an specific articel folder (should also be in the clipboard), but when wanting to create a new folder I cant paste the number in the dialogwindow that pops up, so i have to manuelly write it again, which is timeconsuming. 3. also when i´m finished with creating a folder i used to just p

Everytime I try to assign a keyword to an image in Bridge I get the error message "The file Photos Library.photoslibrary" cannot store XMP metadata.  No changes will occur" in popup.  What am I doing wrong and is there a problem with where my photo library is located.  It downloads automatically via Wi-Fi from my iPhone.  Please help I need to use this for an urgent project.

I am looking to add custom keywords to a specific set of files. These filenames have been populated in an excel file, and are all listed in seperate rows. Is there a way to create a list using this excel file, and search for these filenames across either individual or mulitple levels of folders? Adding those found files to a Bridge Collection after the search isn't necessary, but a bonus as it can be done manually post search. Any and all help would be much appreciated. I haven't found this ability in any of the available plugins as of Today (February 25, 2021).

Hi Community,is it possible to have a preview from the content of zip files.E.g. I have a zip file with 24 images inside. I need to see the conent of the zip file in a preview. For example the first images witch is inside the zip file.Thank youMartin 

The star ratings below the tumbnails in the content pane have disapeared. If I select an image, I can see the stars for that image only. Once I click off of that image, the stars disapear. I currently have "View content as thumbnails" selected, which I believe is what I had selected last time when this was working. But, I have tried all four options, and none of them cause the starts to show up again.I have also tried increasing the magnification of the thumbnails, since I seem to recal before that the stars disapeared if the thumbnail size was set below a certain (undisclosed) threshold. But even after increasing the slider to the max size, the stars are still hidden. This has happened several times within the last few weeks. I know I eventually figured out how to get them to show up again, but I can't remember how. Why does this keep reseting? How can I get this setting to stick, so that they don't keep disapearing when I reopen Bridge?

So, there is a bug in Bridge that hasn't been fixed for years now.  Adobe has acknowledged this bug over the phone, and email, as well as one or two times in the bug Forum.However, the Bug still persists, and it has been a few years now with each iteration no improvement or acknowledgment of the bug. no escalation of the issue in the bug forum... Nothing. just silence from Adobe. So my question is,How does one get Adobe's attention?And can we ask that moderators for the forum either respond or make some time of notification that someone has in fact read the post?
