I am interested to work simultaneously on the metadata in Brige and Lightroom at the same time.Is there a way to edit and save xmp files from Lightroom in Bridge And in the opposite direction?

Is it possible to add a white label to media (as opposed to the default color options)?  i see lots of posts about how these labels unexpectedly show up when photos are imported from another source, but i would actually LOVE extra colors to play with. When editing i sometimes use the colors to help my brain stay organized.  So, white, or whatever – any way to label with ANY color(s) in addition to the five defaults? And even if it can't be done directly, there must be some back-door trick to it, no?  i mean, Bridge clearly has the ability to display a white bar, so there's gotta be some way to trigger it.THANK YOU! What changed in Bridge that .xmp files are not longer included in .raw ?

Hi, I use Bridge version 11 on Windows 10 with Photoshop CC version 2017. I note that Photoshop option is missing in Tools menu of Bridge. I read on other posts in this Community than to fix this issue, we must have the same version of Bridge and Photoshop. The problem is that I want to keep Photoshop CC 2017, not to update it. Then, if I follow logic, I have to uninstall Bridge version 11 to install a previous version of Bridge compatible with Photoshop CC 2017. Am I right? If so, which version of Bridge fit with Photoshop CC 2017 and where to find it? Thank you! Michel

Since I have updated Bridge to the 2019 version I cannot see anymore thumbnails for .MP4 video files when searching in my folders. I can only see thumbnails for .MOV files.Bridge CC allowed to see both. I am sure there must be a setting that I miss that should allow me to see both. How long has this issue been plaguing Bridge?I've found questions online about this topic going back many years now....with none of those related questions that are posted here on these Forums having any real resolution or answer....It makes Bridge impossible to use in a group / team setting as an image browser / presenter.I'm not kidding when I say that this simple, stupid, tiny detailed option is the sole reason I have completely stopped using Bridge in a professional setting.Both of the other image cataloging / viewing program I have ever used in an office team situation does this simple and very necessary task perfectly!I'm talking specifically about ThumbsPlus and Extensis Portfolio.When a folder of images are all of various pixel dimensions, and a user checks "Scaled to Fit" in Slideshow Options and then runs the Slideshow, one can reasonably assume that EVERY IMAGE SHOULD BE FIT TO THE CURRENT SCREEN, PROPORTIONALLY! .dng files randomly not opening in Bridge all of a sudden today. Some files open, other do not. But if I double-click the same file (that wouldn't open in Bridge) in Finder, it opens in ACR as expected. Error messsage says "no files selected" (but they are) or "file is read-only" (which it is not!)

 I have updated Big Sur 11.1 on my Imac - Now my Abobie Bridge Raw keeps crashing - Can any one help .      

I have plugged in my memory card to my MacBook Pro using MacOSHighSierra. My photos have come up as both .CR3 and .JPG, as per usual. When I click on a .CR3 or .JPG file to edit, when clicking 'Done' it closes and pops up with the error message:  "Unable to save the raw conversion settings. The file could not be created". It then returns to the main essentials page with no edits saved.  This has never happened before, so much so that everything was working just fine last night.  I have tried shutting everything down in the hopes that the old school method works - it doesn't. I have tried deleting Camera Raw Preferences (taken from a community post) - no difference. I have scanned the internet for possible solutions and cannot seem to find any.  I'd love any advice on how to be able to keep my edits when saving! Thanks!

I have had this problem for some time but now my Mac can take the issue any longer. When I boot Bridge the Processor goes to 99% usage (without opening an image!!) and the temperature rises to 65deg C. It almost stops working. Photoshop is fine and all other programmes run fine. I have un-installed / reinstalled Bridge, deleleted all temp and cached files but to to no avial ! My bridge stopped working a free days ago, it either will not open at all or it freeze. I am planning on un-installing my CS5 and reinstalling it to fix the problem, my question is will there be a problem due to the fact the software is older. I keep it because of all my 3rd party software and all the actions I have created. I have the original Sofware Key.

I had a merge to HDR Pro option under my tools setting before some update. Now I just have to select the files while they are open in camera raw and click a merge to HDR. The results are terrible and give me no control of gamma or detail, etc.... Am i missing something or is this the new way. If not what is a better way to go about being able to edit my HDR like previously. TIA

Hi, I was processing my images in bridge/camera raw, 130 from more than 300 (using filter) and suddenly the application crashed. The result was that all NEF files disappeared from the folder in my disk and the 130 files filtered appear as xmp. I am working on a Mac pro and no longer have the original files in my camera SD disk. The info in bridge mention no items to show, 131 files hidden. When I try to look in my disk for hidden files two folders appear, .BridgeLabelsAndRatings and .BridgeSort but both blank white. Any help on what happened and ways to hopefully get the originals again? thanks Rui

I did a batch rename of some videos then Bridge crashed. Restarted and did a batch rename of 22 images and it says it went through the motion but none of the images names are changed. why is bridge, my favorite Adobe App now having problems?

Bridge is very slow, taking about a minute to recognize any selection, from thumbnails, to tool bar. If I select anything else in that lag time, it goes to "Not Responding". There have been no software changes, no updates, no changes at all to the system. I have reset the cache, reset the preferences, uninstalled Bridge both with and without keeping preferences. Restarted machine in between each step. Adobe remotely worked in my machine for about 4 hours on Thursday. Still no help. Bridge was fine Wednesday. All other software is running great. Machine is well equipped with i7, 3.4Ghz, 32G ram, running SSD drives. Ideas?

Hello.  I attempted to open Bridge (versions 11.0, 10.11 and 9.1), which has been updated, and in each case the software froze with the message "Not Responding."  I have not seen this behvior before.  I'm on a PC.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

HiI am trying to batch rename files in Bridge - a process I have done thousands of times before, but it is insisting that I use a preset, and that I input a preset name, but when I do hit save the preset name  it just cycles through the process again and won't let me rename (the rename button is greyed out, as are the options to rename in same folder. ) Also, the only option available is to copy to another folder - which I don't want to do.This is the first set of files from a new camera and new SD card. The card was accidentally set to write protect.  Will this be affecting bridge and if so how do I unprotect them and get Bridge to allow me to rename.  It also won't let me append metadata. thank you!

Some images of CR2 files taken by the Canon 5D Mk Iv camera, are displayed in Bridge and Photoshop damaged. This situation only occurs in the Adobe software, because the camera or other software (Example: FastStone Image Viewer) appears correct.If you convert to DNG, the problem remains, with the DNG being damaged. (same as CR2 but in all software).I send the  visualisation problem (Jpg)

I used to be able to process my camera raw images with color correction and lens profile corrections, then when those 7 images were selected in bridge if i dropped my tool menu down i had a "Merge to HDR Pro" option that would then move those image to photoshop and begin the HDR Process were I could make adjustments to the photo before the HDR file was created. Now I am not seeeing my Merge To HDR Pro option under tools. Any ideas? Its really messing with my workflow as I shoot alot of HDR for real estate. 

Just a question for the Bridge Experts.  Does Bridge cache previews of JPEG files, and if so, why?  I mean aren't previews just another JPEG file?
