External hard drive and SD cards are now much more complicated and slow in Bridge 2020. They alway used to appear automatically in the "Folders". Now it seems you have to import via the "Get Photo from Camera" Icon before they appear. It takes ages. I would perfer to go back to old Bridge. Is there anyway I can do this. Unfortunately I uninstalled old one. Or is there another way to get them into the folders automatically that I have missed.
Installed Bridge 2020. I can no longer right click on a folder to “browse contents in Bridge” as I was able to in previous versions. Right clicking on a folder simply shows “Bridge”. Clicking on that opens an error message that partially states “This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action…” Gee – I thought Bridge WAS the associated app for browsing a folder of images? At least it was in the last version. Please advise how I can fix this so I can continue to browse folders of images by right clicking on them and opening with Bridge. It is getting to the point where I am as leery of updating my Adobe apps as I am of installing any Windows 10 updates.
Hi Anybody know why it takes so long to open a Raw file through Camera Raw in Bridge about 30secs for a Canon MK3 ?. Same file opens in LR in half the time and I need a solution for Bridge as LR does not suit my workflow pleaseUsing a 2013 MacPRO retina with a SSD on High Sierra it was running a lot faster on previous version of CC until I updated it
After updating today bridge tries to open all types of adobe-files with After Effects. The links to the corresponding programs are set correctly in Bridge. What can I do about this annoying bug?
But now exporting took away what little control we had. No longer can I change the color space to sRGB when making jpegs, I can no longer run scrips made in PS, I can no longer make tif resizes and jpegs at once..... Bridge needs way more options on exporting. Yes, it needed a lot of work. Eliminating them it wasn't the right option.
Hi! Since the new Bridge (2020, version 10.0.0.124) is not usable for me at the moment ( see this post), I am contemplating to install the previous version (9.1 ) in addition to the new version. Unfortunately, I selected to uninstall version 9.1 while installing version 10.0). I now have only the new version (2020, v10.0) installed. Do you expect any problems by installing the old version after already having installed the new version? May I expect any conflicts etc.?
In the latest version of Bridge, when you delete a file by either highlighting it and hitting Delete, or right clicking and selecting Move to Trash, it deletes the file, but then does not select and highlight the next image in line. So, you have to actually move the cursor and select the next image. It's a big annoyance and a time waster. Also, you still haven't addressed:1. In Batch Rename, if you copy and paste in a long file name, you can use arrow keys to scroll into the part of the name that's not initially in the dialog box, but the text no longer moves to show you where you've moved the cursor to.2. In Output, you STILL can't paste in the file name when selecting Export to PDF. This is literally something you can do in every other application developed in the last couple of decades. I've previously reported both of the above by email to one of the developers. Sorry Adobe, but it's like you're not even trying anymore. Oh, AND if you delete a file in Bridge and then

I am using Bridge 9.1.0.338. I have never had an issue with Bridge until about a week ago I installed macOS Catalina Version 10.15 and now when trying to use slideshow option my screen is very messy and the picture is extremely pixelated with alot of red on the sides. Is there a problem with the mac update or do I need to uninstall and reload Bridge? Or hopefully there is an update?
Im trying to edit the metadata on some image files that are .BMP and it will not allow me. I get the error code:" This property cannot be modified." They are my images. and while I cannot edit the meta data of the .bmp files, I CAN edit the JPG versions of the exact same images. Whats up? and no, it is not an issue of the under preferences and thumbnail changing the processing size to something higher. These files are well under the range able to be processed.any help greatly appreciated.
I have updated to Bridge 2020 today. When I connect an external hard drive or SD card reader they appear grayed out and I can't open the files. I was alway able to do this in old Bridge. I can't view my photos anymore. Please help. How do I get round this. I use MacBook Pro.
Anyone know what's going on ?
Ok. I am running Catalina OS, updated to CC 2020 today and besides deleting the working version of Bridge 2018, I can't re-download it. I need the cut and paste function. Now, forced to do more steps, open the folder I need to move the file to, so that it shows in the selections for the move option to work, now the process of moving leaves a blank thumbnail behind, which has to be deleted manually. REQUEST:Restore the Cut and Paste Function - We need it. -orRe-enable the download link for Bridge 2018. (which has the working feature of cut and paste working correctly)Correct the issue of temporary blank thumbnails after the move file process.
I updated to Bridge 10.0 (and Photoshop 21.0) an hour ago. I worked on 10 images w/o a problem, then with one of them, the Bridge metadata reads the old color mode and size, and not what I had changed it to; from rgb to cmyk and from 12 inches to 6 inches wide. I checked 3 times; I opened it in Photoshop; I hit refresh in Bridge. No change. Could you help me?
As of this morning, Bridge (both 2015 and 2019) is effectively ignoring all the XMP files in ANY folder. I had started editing a batch of images last Friday at work, made ratings choices, already had rotated images, and made global processing changes. All I did was go home for the weekend and come back to work today. But today no version of my Bridge applications work right. None of the edits appear in the thumbnails or preview pane. I can't rotate images. I can't even OPEN an image into Photoshop from Bridge - it says PS doesn't recognize that type of file!! What? It sure has been recognizing it for the past 15 years - a simple Canon RAW file. Trying to open a finished jpg results in PS saying "file not found." Whoa, this is really messed up.This MUST all be connected to issues I had with Creative Cloud last week. At some point, my Acrobat started saying I couldn't open any PDFs because CC couldn't verify/login to my CC
I am not a frequent user of Bridge, but the CC Desktop App shows me -as in the screen-clip. Why are there two versions? Do I have both? Why is one shown as "New"? Which one should I use? Clicking on the Oxford Cap (Mortarboard) shows both with same Information as Version 10!
Bridge encoutered a problem and is unable to read the cache. Please try purging the central cache in Cache preferences to the correct the situation. What shall I do to make the constantly failure fixed?
Hello!I've got a problem with previews in Adobe Bridge. My current os is 10.15 (19A603).
Yesterday, I installed Bridge Version 9.1.0.338. It keeps freezing up when I try to move photos and video files from one folder on the same external hard drive. I have to go force quit and open it again, but the same thing happens. I read about some recent issues regarding this, but the new update doesn't seem to fix it. Very frustrating as I use Bridge extensively for organizing my photo/image files. Many thanks.
I use Bridge at work for image processing and cataloging. I use a workstation with local image storage and a server for storage. Our network is Gig Ethernet, 10Gig to the server, Windows 7 Pro on the processing workstation. I have a decently fast i7 PC with 16GB of RAM. Fully updated Bridge CC.Frequently, I need to find and work with saved images in larger folders (over 9100 images currently) and/or nested folders. Most are JPEG files although I have smaller numbers of active PSD's as well.Listing these folders, even on the internal hard drive, takes forever. I understand that thumbnails and metadata are read but several minutes before I can work with anything is ridiculous. There are frequent "Not Responding" timeouts of a minute or two, lots and lots of lag, terrible performance. Delete or rename a file and the ENTIRE folder listing rebuilds, again taking several minutes. I frequently have to switch back and forth between folders and its painful to say the least. Bridge is by far the
PS Bridge show all images soft. when I bring them into Phtoshop they are sharp. I'm on windows 10. In preferences; My view of images is set to "Keep 100% Previews in Casche. Plus Casche is purgde every 30 days. I purged all local files. I searched the support community and didn't find anything on this problem. Seems like two updates ago I didn't have this problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Hello, is there a possibility to search adobe bridge for specific file types? For example - Search for all *.psd?Sincerely, Peter
All my application files have disappeared; attempting to open from shortcuts on desktop gets message that "The operation could not be completed. The specified volume could not be found." This applies to all creative cloud apps. The Creative Cloud Installer cannot be opened; I get the same message. Any suggestions?
I like to cull through my photos in Bridge using 100% previews. When I open a folder, 100% previews are generated, and although it's slow it's worth the wait. If I close down Bridge and then open the same folder the next day, the previews are generated again. Is there a way to retain the 100% previews without having to generate them every time I reopen Bridge?
Help! I can work on one photo (or one set of photos) in Bridge but when I go back and choose another one to open in Bridge it always crashes. Every time. For the last 70 times or more! I know the drive it is on is full. Could that be the problem? Also, when looking to see which drive it is on (I have 4) I saw these previous versions (in the photo). Can I delete the old versions or do I need to keep them? Or can I move Bridge to my newer, larger drive? If so would I lose all my "Collections"? Thanks SO MUCH! ~Valerie
