I have bee scanning and archiving a number of glass negatives among 35 mm slides, photo negatives of all sizes with *.jpg, *.tiff, and PSD extensions. I need to organize and store all the files and have easy access to them for various publishing programs. Is Bridge the way to go? And a how user friendly is it?
Currently, the file type associations in the Preferences is quite dumb. I can't add more associations, nor I can't edit the command line options. I have a problem with Corel Draw, double clicking .cdr files always opens a new instance of Corel. This may be prevented by a command line options, however, I'm unable to edit that. Is there a config file where the file associations may be edited in Notepad++ ?
In Bridge 9.0.0.204, whenever I apply a keyword to several files, one always fails. Once the other files are keyworded, I can then apply the keyword again and it works fine on the file that failed. But this means always having to apply the keyword twice to files in the group. I've tried this with different groups of files, always with the same error. The files that report the error have nothing in common with each other. It's not a file size or file type issue, and it doesn't matter whether the group is two files or ten.
Hello, for some agencies I still have to edit the "Category" in IPTC-IIM, Legacy. In Bridge CC 2018 (on Mac) I can see the categories in the Metadata-panel but can't edit it there nor in the Information field.I know the field is a “depreciated” entry for many years, but my customers use it so I have to use it. In the 2017 edition of Bridge or PS it was still possible. Do I miss any entries in the preferrences? Thanks a lot,Robert
The problemWhen I try to start bridge from file explorer I get an error message that there is an issue with the display driver and it has disabled GPU rendering. Is there a way to do this?
Wondering if Adobe Bridge is a part of Photography plan (20GB)? can anyone help, please?
Came home with the EOS R the other day, love it so far, but disappointed to see no thumbnail previews when getting files via Bridge, only an icon. Please advise. I really need those previews to help me stay organized. I'm on CC, updated yesterday, 9/26. Thanks.

Hello, lately, when I load images for HDR merges in Camera Raw, the merges take ' forever', which was not a problem before. Same is happening, when I decide to move images from Bridge to a merge in PS. In LR it seems to still work faster. But I usually do not use LR. So, hardware seems to be fine, graphic card with no signs of a problem including driver etc. Might it be a windows update causing the issue or is it a software problem in the app itself? I can also not uninstail Camera Raw and reinstall ....this would only work by removing the Cloud application and its apps completely and reinstall....weird. Camera Raw is not showing seperately. Maybe wrong installed? Stupid question maybe, but I run out of ideas ...Thanks for any suggestion to solve this 😉
I make contact sheets all the time with bridge but always from files in a single folder.I have now a huge amount of images all separated into folders as they are for specific clients so do not want to remove/separate them out into a single file. How can i make Bridge create a contact sheet from all files in a tree of folders? I cant do this folder by folder as there are over 300+ clients
I use Batch Rename daily. I'm trying to Batch Rename 800+ wedding photos. I moved them to be in sequential order with my second shooter's images and also integrated film scans. I do this every day and have never had issues, but the Batch Rename isn't working. It's working in the sense that it is changing the file names, but they aren't in the order that I put them in and am instructing Bridge to put them into. I'll put them in a perfect order, Batch Rename them, and then 'sort by filename' afterwards and the photos jump around and are renamed very randomly - and they're actually even more out of order than they were before I renamed them. I cannot figure out what the problem is and have tried different phrasing, etc. to try and rename but it's still putting files completely out of the order that I put them in. Anyone have any ideas why this is occurring and how to fix it?

Does anyone know how to unpin this search "panel" from my workspace (in red rectangle)? It won't let me hook & move it, I've tried turing off all the panels, resetting the worspace and rebooting my computer but it won't go away. It's taking up too much space on my screen, and I can't see my any panels behind it (ie. Publish Panel behind it to read the metadata). Version 8.1.0.383
My alpha keyword list is very lengthy (names of cities acress USA) it is cumbersome to keeyword Albany then scroll all thw way down to Washington to keyword the next image. It would be helpful and more efficient ifI could arrange the list of cities in two or more vertical columns to reduce all the scroll up and down time. Any help would be appreciated.
Using Camera Raw inside Bridge, I did some work on several RAW files on Computer A. The Profile for these images was set to Adobe Color. This morning, I copied those files onto a flash drive to move them to my office computer, Computer B. After transferring to Computer B, when opening the files, the tint for all images I previously edited is incorrect, with an intense green color cast. (Files that were not previously edited display correctly) When re-opening in Camera Raw, the Profile box now shows "Adobe Standard V2". The box has an error icon which reads "Profile not installed, rendering is incorrect." Returning the profile to Adobe Color does not correct the issue. The Temperature and Tint sliders are set at the same values as they were on Computer A, and the only way to correct the image is to cram the Tint slider into the far end of magenta to remove the green color cast. Any suggestions on how to correct this issue? I would like to be able to do some work on both computers w
New: Use bridge for folder of images on my desktop and I see 10 word files up. Have no idea why, they are not on desktop.
I transfer lots of photos from my camera to Bridge. In Bridge I do a batch rename, keyword them and save to a file. Because I take so many images of a given subject that are nearly identical I stack those images. Later when I do a keyword search they appear unstacked along with all the other images (with same keyword) I am seeking but they are not stacked! If I could keep those stacked it would greatly speed up my search process. Any ideas about this?
All of a sudden my working tiff image icons began to disappear for the generic icons . I purged the cashe and then that did nothing so i purged the folders cashe also and then all of my tiffs images switched over to generic icons ..?? All files open and show perfect in PS and apple preview fine .
Christian

I'm still getting an error when writing keywords to metadata, here is my workflow and software versions:Bridge - 9.1.0.338ACR - 11.4.1Photoshop 20.0.6I upload my RAW CR2 files to a Synology NAS via the Bridge 'Get Photos' import tool, I select 'Preserve Current Filename in XMP' and apply a metadata template with copyright data. There are no errors at this point. Once uploaded I navigate to the CR2 files on my Synology NAS using Bridge and open the files which open into ACR. I apply lens corrections and remove chromatic Aberration and then click open and go to Photoshop.I carry out my editing as required and save the edited file as a TIFF with layers intact to a new location on the NAS. I then flatten the layers and save the file as a JPEG to the same location. I then navigate to the CR2 file and move it to where the other two files are located. I then select all three files and stack them together. The next step is to apply keywords and with all three files highlighted I sele
I have been successfully using Adobe Bridge to manage and rename my photos and videos for years. I like to batch rename files transferred to my computer with a combination of Creation Date + file number. I recently noticed that Bridge has been attributing the Transfer Date as the Creation Date. This ends up throwing all of my files out of whack. And I also noticed the Modified Date often predates the Creation Date. Is there a new time travel feature in Bridge that I am unaware of? This only seems to happen with my AVCHD video files from a Sony camera. For those of you who may have been frustrated by something similar, I came across a workaround. If you batch rename your AVCHD files on the camera card and then in Bridge, MOVE (not copy) them to whatever drive you store your files on, Bridge not only gets the Creation Date (hence the renaming) right, it maintains this in the metadata info as well when you look at the files in their new location. Note, if you COPY the same f
