Bridge

While using Adobe Bridge 9.1, even with 8.1, i am getting CPU usages, causing my fans to blast out at max speed on my high specced 2015 MBP, about 120% usage each time I open bridge. Is this normal? Are there known fixes? I have already tried increasing my camera raw caches?  

I have a PS CC droplet that converts a TIF file to a JPEG that I keep on my Desktop. When I drop a TIF on it to convert to a JPEG, now it seems like it does make the JPEG, but it isn't visable on my desktop or in the Bridge file "Desktop". But, if I manually convert the file to a JPEG and do a Save As it wants me to overwrite an existing JPEG?? But you can't see that JPEG in the folder and it still doesn't show up if I overrite the 'invisable' JPEG file. I'm running Adobe Bridge version 9.1.0.338 on Windows 10 and I can't seem to do something that I figured would be extremely easy. I'd like to adjust the star rating of some JPG files in Bridge, and have those ratings reflected in the Windows File Rating metadata. However, I do not seem to be able to make a change in Bridge that is reflected in Windows. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks!

If I want to add keywords to a PSD file it does't work. Same with IPTC. Then I got an error message and after the acces to the file is denied. I need to modifie the acces via information!! I use a mac OS Sierra and CC2019. Any idea. 

Using advanced Find (Ctrl-F) in Bridge, is there a way to find all images with a particular meta field that's empty? For instance, a query something like "Headline / Title does not contain *" (where * might be a wildcard meaning "anything". For that matter, I don't see that wildcards exist either.  Is that true? Hope this is just my ignorance and not a lack of program capability.

I am using SOX 10.15 Catilina and Bridge 2019 CC. I have had no issues until the weekend. When I plugged in my external drive Bridge asked if I wanted to allow it to access the external drive. I accidently pressed no and now I canot access any external drives. I am a teacher and the numerous drives I have contain all my schools yearbook images... any help would be much appreciated... When i am editing in adobe bridge, the black colours in my photo turn blue.how do i turn this off?this wasnt like this before.but my kitten walked on my keyboard and probably pressed some buttons and activated this.i dont know how to turn this off.. searched everywhere.i hope someone can help me!

I've been trying to use Bridge (MacOS v.9.1.0.338) over a network with little success. I've been plagued with latency issues: spinning wait cursor for many system calls, infinite write-times to metadata edits: just general frustration. I also had these problems when testing the network version of Neofinder. I had to buy an upgrade license to test it, and it just didn't work. The Neofinder developer tried to help, but soon ceased responding to my requests. However,  his last email to me included a link to this article on the Apple Support website: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208209. In it is a Terminal command to "...prevent macOS from reading .DS_Store files on SMB shares. This makes the Finder use only basic information to immediately display each folder's contents in alphanumeric order." Hello,i have downloaded some gigabyte of photos from my camera via bridge CC photo downloader till it breaks up suddenly and with no reason.After I start the import process again I saw that all files that already have been copyed are now double but with an additional Number at the end of the file name.Is there a way to avoid this? thank you

This isn't new, it's been going on for a while, but it's getting old version after version.  Still there in 9.1.0.338 I create a workspace configured the way I want it.  I give it a UNIQUE name.  I SAVE it.  I have the boxes checked to "Save Window Location as Part of Workspace" and "Save Sort Ordere as Part of Workspace".  Yes, I can exit Bridge, come back in, and the Workspace is still there.  I can switch to a different workspace and exit, and come back and switch back to my workspace.  All fine.  UNTIL something happens and the system crashes or gets rebooted or something I'm not aware of, but once THAT happens, the workspace I create is still THERE, the name is there, but the workspace is back to the useless Bridge default.  And I have to create it all over again. Is there something I'm not doing in the create or save that I need to do so the workspace DOESN'T at some random point go back to the default?  Or is this

I see a side panel in Bridge telling me to login to use my creative cloud files. i would like to access my Lightroom cloud and my adobe cloud files. i do not want to store images locally on my PC. How can i get this done? thank you,

Backstory:I work as a BTS Videographer, so I deal with a lot of mp4 videos and a logging system would save me some time with orginization when it comes to delivering to post-production.  I've attempted using Bridge before and it's logging system is optimal for someone like me but there's one big problem I'm trying to overcome before commiting to it. The Problem:After adding a keyword to multiple clips, both the thumbnails and previews in the file start to generate again.  This can range from 10 seconds to a minute and really impedes with my workflow.  Is there a way stop it from regenrating thumbnails and previews, so I can make my workflow smoother? Specs:iMac 27in, Late-2015 with macOS Mojave 10.14.16Graphics Card: MD Radeon R9 M390 2 GBRAM: 32 GB200 GB/1TB Memory FreeAdobe Bridge CC 9.1 (Already Updated) Solutions tried:Checkmarked "Thumbnails Generation over Preview Generation"Checkmarked "Compact Cache on Exit (Reccomended)"Checkmarked 'Pref

Sorry to bother you all, but i can not find a solution myself. Recently my Windows 10 wants to import images from a SD cart into a Foto app. A week ago it started Bridge automatically when inserting a SD cart into a slot. Must be some weird upgrade or so, in any case highly unwanted and not asked for. I have looked in the Default APP list but their is no Bridge or PS app listed. Neither i can't find it in the Windows store. I also tried to allocate file types towards Bridge but encountered the same problem: the programm is not listed.   In all; i'm flabbergasted. I don't want Foto's, i did not ask for it and don't need it. How can i get rid of this anoying app and more important; how can i fix my previously good working installation so that Bridge opens as soon as i insert a SD card? Hello All,   The star label rating is no longer working in my adobe bridge 2019. It stopped working in adobe bridge 2017, so I updated to 2019 and it still is not working. The ratings on my previous RAW images have stayed, but I cannot change the ratings or add any new ones. I have also lost to ability to duplicate my RAW images, which I use often to make color and black and white versions of the same photo. I have seen various other posts with this same issue, but none of the posted solutions have worked for me. I have tried purging the cache, downloading new versions, etc. Any help is appreciated.    Thank you!

I had 25,000 pictures that were keyworded in bridge previously. I uninstalled it, and recently installed a new copy. None of my keywords that took me a month to enter show in the new copy of bridge. why is it doing that? I also have lightroom classic and photshop, and there is no problem with those keywords.

Hi guys im trying to edit a few photos,but my bridge in in slow mo,yesterday my whole screen went white,and when I finally got to turn it off,and turn it back on,it mentioned something about scripts having trouble catching up??? Has anyone experienced anything like this,

I have bee scanning and archiving a number of glass negatives among 35 mm slides, photo negatives of all sizes with *.jpg, *.tiff, and PSD extensions. I need to organize and store all the files and have easy access to them for various publishing programs. Is Bridge the way to go? And a how user friendly is it?  

Currently, the file type associations in the Preferences is quite dumb. I can't add more associations, nor I can't edit the command line options. I have a problem with Corel Draw, double clicking .cdr files always opens a new instance of Corel. This may be prevented by a command line options, however, I'm unable to edit that. Is there a config file where the file associations may be edited in Notepad++ ?

In Bridge 9.0.0.204, whenever I apply a keyword to several files, one always fails.  Once the other files are keyworded, I can then apply the keyword again and it works fine on the file that failed.  But this means always having to apply the keyword twice to files in the group.  I've tried this with different groups of files, always with the same error.  The files that report the error have nothing in common with each other.  It's not a file size or file type issue, and it doesn't matter whether the group is two files or ten.

Hello,for some agencies I still have to edit the "Category" in IPTC-IIM, Legacy. In Bridge CC 2018 (on Mac) I can see the categories in the Metadata-panel but can't edit it there nor in the Information field.I know the field is a “depreciated” entry for many years, but my customers use it so I have to use it. In the 2017 edition of Bridge or PS it was still possible. Do I miss any entries in the preferrences?Thanks a lot,Robert

The problemWhen I try to start bridge from file explorer I get an error message that there is an issue with the display driver and it has disabled GPU rendering. Came home with the EOS R the other day, love it so far, but disappointed to see no thumbnail previews when getting files via Bridge, only an icon. Please advise. I really need those previews to help me stay organized. I'm on CC, updated yesterday, 9/26. Thanks.
