I'm running Windows 10 on an Hp system. I installed Bridge CC 2017. It ran then next time I tried to open it it failed to start. I tried to start it with the application manager which now also fails to start. I attempted to run both in administrative mode and get the change to the computer request, nothing happens.I uninstalled bridge and used then used Bridge CS6 Then Reinstalled Bridge CC 2017 it ran then on reboot would not run along with the application manager.How do I get these two programs to operate again?

Hi all. I'm inexpert at scripting but I've been having fun creating a Custom Info Panel in Adobe Bridge thanks to this thread:Custom Info Panel as Bridge MetaData Panel​. This is for a project to restore some harmony to a rather large photo collection. At some point in the past an external contractor got around some problem (now forgotten) by creating a custom metadata schema to track some specific needs of the client. Going forward we'll be keeping everything within the bounds of IPTC standard fields, but for the clean up it would be really helpful to display the custom fields alongside IPTC fields in the Info Panel. When I look at the XMP list of raw data for an existing image I can see the relevant fields listed like this:        <CR_1_:BBCCompliance>False</CR_1_:BBCCompliance>         <CR_1_:Campaign>1985-2003</CR_1_:Campaign>         <CR_1_:

I have 17 PS files that need to be flattened and saved as PDFs, can Bridge do this?I have been doing this one at a time, I'm looking for a quicker way. Thanks,Tim

How can I make the Recycle bin the default place for deleted items in Bridge Cs5?I know it can happen, as when I recently did a system restore, and after I reinstalled cs6, all deleted files went to my Recycle Bin – I could clearly see them and restore them if I wished. But then after a few weeks, it changed to now delete mysteriously completely, but there must be a way of restoring, as I can still see the file in File>Open Recent (when I click desired file nothing happens)(I would also like to know how I can restored my deleted movie file that I spent hours editing allready?)

A problem just started today. I opened PS and then went to open Bridge. When I clicked on a photo I got a message that said "the operation could not be completed". Then the computer froze requiring a restart. Tried this several times all with the same result. I have no idea. Until this time all worked flawlessly.

What is this little symbol? I can't get any reaction from Bridge when I hover over it or click on it.....ThanksPat

I am using Windows 10, 64 bit, on a Dell Precision 6700 notebook.Photoshop CS6 is running properly, however, Bridge CS6 -since 3 weeks - is crashing down permantly.How can I solve this problem?

The title is probably not sufficiently precise as bridge is working well except :When I am trying to change the "cache" directoryWhen I am trying to copy or move files to other directories using the "select directory"The only choices Bridge is offering are "Desktop" and "my identidy"; I am unable to select "computer" or any other disk.Your assistance would be greatly helpful.Thanks.Best regards.

I found that Bridge 2017 is painfully slow against the 2015 edition and stalling after each click.Suspecting the cache, I tried to locate the cache to somewhere else, but I could not reach outside of my users account.I did reset all customizing by pushing the ctrl-alt-windows keys after start.I'm running Windows 7.Bridge version (2015) 6.3.186 x64 - (2017) 7.0.0.93 x64

These needs have probably been mentioned before but I have to bring this up once again to reiterate their importance:I waited with bated breath installing the latest version of Bridge as I though this time it would include sorely needed and let's face it, very basic requirements!1) SVG preview - what's the point in having all the available features in Illustrator and Muse when I can't even view the file in Bridge?2) Why can't the preview panel File Properties show the size of an Indesign document? I have to pick up details from archived publications which means using the old document as a template - but  publishers change sizes and I have to open large files - just to find out it's the wrong size.Please Adobe - surely these features can't be too hard to implement?

Within Bridge, the file icons for my camera raw images are just showing CR2, not the image itself in the preview.  I just upgraded to a MacBook Pro 15" I added the programs back on this newer machine with no problems except this so far.  I searched and thought I needed to download the latest Camera Raw plugin for my camera type.  When I click on the camera raw.plugin, it says, could not complete your request because PShop doesn't recognize the file.  When I click on package, it says "cameraprofiles.mpkg" can't be opened because it is fro an unidentified developer.   I downloaded these from adobe.  Any help?

Tried  to download pics from my Canon 7D this morning using Bridge 5.0.2 to my Mac Pro using OS El Capitan (15A262e) V10.11 and my Camera (Canon 7D) was not recognized. Apple Photos recognized the Camera.  I then booted to Yosemite, V 10.10.5 and Bridge recognized the camera in that OS.

As photographer I work with Lightroom and photoshop/Bridge. I always load my pictures directly to an external hard drive, process my pictures in Lightroom where I also fill in the caption. When I open them in Bridge, I also can read the caption.Recently I had to work on my Macbook, because my iMac was send back for reparation. I've got it back now and I see that when I connect my external hard drive to my iMac and in Bridge I want to read the caption of my pictures on that hard drive, the caption is totally empty! When I plug that hard drive at the macbook again, and I use Bridge on the macbook, the caption is filled in. Does anybody now what's going wrong?

Hi,It used to be that in the Bridge CC favorites list the items got smaller the more you added.This was practical.For some reason, this doesn't work any more.Now the items are unnecessary large and force me to scroll all the time.Where can I find an adjustment menu to put Bridge to the old behavior to shrink items in the Favorites list?thanks!

How many interns are working on Bridge?  With all the new apps Adobe is chucking at the wall to see what sticks, you can't even get Bridge's UI inline with CC GUI standards when you name it 2017?  This is really embarrassing.

You can make such a thing? (as the topic)Now, you can only copy photos between collections. If he wants to move it ..... I have to copy from a collection 1 to collections 2 and removed from the collection 1. The "transfer/move to" is needed.You putting?

Bridge will not display Meta data under the thumbnail even though I have checked it in preferences. Recently, Bridge mysteriously disabled its trashcan and no longer offers the Delete option on a drop-down for certain raw image files that are from a Nikon Camera, (extension "*.NEF"). And it's inconsistant, as well - it will allow me to delete a few of the NEF's but not most of them.  Yet I can delete these files using Windows Explorer. The Trashcan icon is grayed out to indicate it's disabled - why would it be? It looks like I have a glitch and should reinstall, but before I do, if I'm missing something here, please someone tell me what it is.

I have been using Adobe Bridge CS6 for many years to tag my Canon CR2 raw files and also, more recently, some Panasonic Lumix RW2 raw files. I have tagged tens of thousands of images without any problem, but after processing a batch of 878 holiday images over the past few days I have noticed that a small number of them are not retaining any of the keywords. I have tried many times without any effect. Rather oddly, it is not always the same images that are affected. However, I always appear to have a total of 26 images that fail to retain keywords after exiting Bridge. This suggests to me that I might be hitting some limit in the system.In case it is relevant, I am running the latest version of Windows 10 on my PC and the Bridge CS6 version is 5.0.2.4 x64. The bridge cache is 8.95GB in size and contains 58,857 files.Can anyone shed some light on this problem?DavidEdited: To clarify that the 26 affected images are not always the same.

I updated my bridge and it became so slow it's annoying, what happened?I only remeber it being so slow back in cs3. Is there something one can do?

I am a new Photoshop/Bridge user. Due to a problem with Bridge (not the topic of this post) and a now obviously inadequate backup strategy, I've lost all my metadata keyword definitions from the Keywords tab after reinstalling Bridge. All the keywords are still with the associated photos, but they aren't available in the Keywords tab. When I open a photo subdirectory, the keywords in that directory appear in italic in an alphabetic list under "Other keywords". Two questions: 1) Is there a fast way I can spider through my photos directory, grab all the keywords I've already used, and re-create the keywords tab info I've already used as an alphabetic list (that I can then create groups from)? 2) Now that I'm "once burned, twice shy" I was wondering if there is a way I can define keywords and keyword sets from a flat file by script so I can "back up" the keywords I have and redefine them at will? (Obviously, ideally this would work both ways--from an external source and to an external

I work with PSCC 2015 and PSCC 2015.5 versions. To open files in Photoshop I select the thumbnail in Bridge call the contextual menu Open With and select the appropriate Photoshop version. This process works fine, but cumbersome when doing 100 times in 10hrs. I have been unable to assign a keyboard short cut to each Photoshop version in Bridge to speedup the file opening. Another idea is to create a UI dialog with options to chose which Photoshop version to use. After the images are selected in Bridge the UI dialog is called by the return key on the keyboard. Is this possible in Bridge, to creating a custom UI dialog the serves the option to chose which version to use with the selected image thumbnail?Is there a reference script that I can modify to create the UI?MAC OSX environment

Is it possible to add a shortcut to a script? I know how to put it in the menu (MenuElement.create) but I would also like to be able to run the script from a keyboard shortcut or a custom item in the application bar or the Path bar.
