I have the Adobe Bridge CC 2019 version. When I clicked on the Camera Raw button while a photo was selected in the previous version, I was able to use Camera Raw. With this new version, I am not able to use Camera Raw at all. !
Hi,It didn't bother me before that much but with Nikon D850 RAW files it's painfully slow to load the image when I zoom to 100% in Bridge.I always have selected "generate 100% previews, though this doesn't solve the issue. While fit to screen (2560x1600) browsing is reasonably fast, while I zoom to 100% magnification it takes about 3-6s before loading the sharp image (and that seems like forevermore when there's 3000 images to sort and the downsized full screen preview isn't sharp enough to evaluate whether the shot is correctly in focus or not). These are 47Mpix Raw files with the size around 50MB. I thought HDD (even though reading 50MB is nothing) is the bottleneck and wanted to buy new M.2 SSDSo I tested this on WD Black, WD Red and Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB. With Samsung it is similar as with WD Black, loading around 3sec - barely any difference between these two massively different HDD & SSD.While loading 100% image all CPU cores and all 8 logical threads go up to 100% - is it
Is there a way to show star ratings on a contact sheet created through Bridge? ...either creating it through the Photoshop Contact Sheet II tool, or creating a template in Bridge overlay.
Hey,I'm currently designing a CEP app, in which I try to update the panel based on the thumb selection.I tested my script as standalone .jsx and it works fine. ... run function ... app.eventHandlers.push( {handler: createSelectionHandler ! !} );}function createSelectionHandler(event){ if ( event.object instanceof Document && event.type === 'selectionsChanged') { if (app.document.selectionLength > 0) { var thumb = app.document.selections[0]; if(thumb.hasMetadata) { ... does important stuff... } }}If I run it via the CEP environment - app.ev
Hello! Why is Adobe Bridge turning my black and white photos (RAW-file) into color when I look at them in the program? If I photograph something in black and white, I want to look at them in black and white. Can I change this somehow?/Sarah
I just upgraded to the latest version of Bridge CC (9.0.0.204). Now, when I do a batch rename of RAW files the sidecar files do not get renamed. Help!
I have just moved up from CS6 to CC. If I double click on a .psd file in Bridge CC 2019, it opens in Photoshop CS6. If I ctrl-click it tells me that CS6 is the default even though I have set CC as the default in the system. I can't find anything in Bridge Preferences: have I overlooked it?
Adobe Bridge CC2019 generates thumbnails that look like broken bitmap files.I have tried:- purging the media cache- clearing cache for the chosen element- changing to software rendering in advanced preferences- restarting Bridge after each change- restarting the systemNothing helps.
Adobe Bridge has been driving me crazy the last few days, I use it to add caption and keyword metadata to final hi res TIFF files.Just now I had 17 files selected, created a new subkeyword, ticked it, and that wiped away all of the existing caption and keyword data I had already spent ages applying!Yesterday similar problems - trying to to assign a set of keywords to a load of images, and the losing the Description, Creator, Sublocation, City, Country, Copyright IPTC Core data I had already spent hours filling in.Anyone else seen this? I'm thinking it is possibly linked to how big the files are (Nikon D850 so each TIFF is around 70mb, Bridge used to be very reliable for this task but I'm going to have to look at using a different software app next time if it carries on.PS - It is also wiping all of the camera EXIF data so I no longer see f/ stop, shutter, iso etc.
Since installing Bridge 9.0.2.2019 I have randomly experienced a very slow startup on my Windows 10 PC, when I sign to Windows in Bridge has already launched but is not responding, closing Bridge leads to a 5-10 minute wait while it reports to Microsoft and closes. I can the launch Bridge but it is reset to defaults, it run OK then, but after one of these unwanted launch at startup events Photoshop seems to run slower, usually a slight lag when using clone, eraser and spot healing tools. Bridge is not Enabled in my Startup menu.
I had NIK filters on an old drive and mistakenly tried to install them. They didn't work and I decided I wanted them gone. I deleted everything I could find associated with NIK and this pops up EVERY SINGLE TIME I open Bridge. It doesn't matter if I say No or Yes, it still pops up.Where might HDR Efex Pro 2 be hiding on my HD so I can delete it? Thanks!!
Hello, it seems that Bridge 9/Bridge 2019 is a disappointment to me and i wonder if I should go back to Bridge 2018? Now I would like to go back to the olden Bridge, but I wonder about the drawbacks – in Bridge 8.1, will I get the submenu "Tools > Photoshop"? Will Bridge 8.1 run at all (on Win 10)?What I don't like is that Bridge 9/Bridge 2019 wastes a lot of screenspace around thumbnails – just like Lightroom, which I dislike for that reason. Bridge 9/Bridge 2019 leaves empty space free for lines like "File Size" or "Date Taken", even if you don't display those properties. If you didn't display those properties in the olden Bridge, the freed space was used by thumbnails very economically – whereas Bridge 9/Bridge 2019 remains static, showing off blank dark gray matter. (Only with Ctrl+T you save space, removing all lines including file name.) According to official Adobe, these are the enhancements of Bridge 9/Bridge 2019: - Consistent user interface, similar to Photoshop - Central
I have somehow ended up with Bridge 2017 on my computer along with Bridge 2018. The uninstaller for Bridge 2017 has disappeared. Can anyone tell me how to uninstall Bridge 2017?Thanks!
Hi I recently updated Bridge cc to v 8.1 and now bridge keeps crashing upon opening it. I am on an imac late 2015 (but still running Sierra) 10.12.6. I was not having the crash issue before the last update. Thanks
Is there a supported way to remove an app event handler?Sample snippet:f = function(event){ if(event.object instanceof Document && event.type == 'loaded'){ //do stuff } return {handled:false}; }app.eventHandlers.push({handler:f});So this works great, I have a floating palette and want to force a display refresh when the user changes folders in the Bridge browser window. I tried registering the click event in the palette (where the event handler can be removed) but window events don't work right or even the same cross-platform.My problem is that after closing the palette, the app event handler and function f() remain active and continue to fire. So every time the browser loads, f() is executed.I tried a window.onClose() event but can't figure out how to remove the handler (beyond deleting app.eventHand
Hi. I can't use diacritical marks in file and folder names inside bridge. In last version i had problem with only one and now any of them (for polish language) work. It's new "feature" or some other problem? I reinstall program but didn't solve the problem. Thanks
The new Create HDR Panorama feature in ACR accessed by Bridge was so I thought the best update feature in a long while. However the reality is it's proving less useful than I'd hoped for.I am using a 27"iMac 4.2ghz i7 5k with 40gb of Ram and OS10.13.6. Bridge version 9.0.2.219When launching Bridge, Mac Activity Monitor shows bridge using 125mb of memory, if I navigate to a folder holding 1gb of Canon Raw images the amount of ram used is then up to 460mb. Launching the raw file convertor from within Bridge to process 25 of the CR2 files increases the ram load to 1.82Gb. If I then use the "Merge to HDR Panorama" feature in ACR the load on memory increases to 21gb. All of which is fine as the machine has spare capacity. The issue comes when trying to process similar subsequent batches of files. It would appear from Activity Monitor that Bridge continues to demand the original 21gb of memory even after the Merge to HDR Panorama task has been completed. Consequently subsequent processing of
I'm working on a label bar that goes in the bottom navbar. It would be similar to the stars under each thumbnail and would indicate current label colors for selected files, and let you click to change label.I have it working so far. It will indicate what labels are assigned to selected thumbs, and clicking a label assigns it to those files. However, I don't have a way to see when a label is changed manually.Reading the documentation, there is apparently an event callback for certain kinds of infosets. Labels are in the core infoset so registering a callback for the current selection seems like the way to go?I just need help in how to implement that callback. My script is still in development and it uses a folder of PNG files for my iconbuttons but below are a couple of screenshots. Clicking a label changes the selection; selecting new files changes the indicators. If I can't easily capture a changed label event, I could always just skip the indicator images.Ratings to be added later.
I just updated my CCbridge from the Cloud App. It did not bring over my previous preferences, layout, keywords etc. I still have 2017 on my computer AND now 2019. Can I find the prefs from 2017 and import them into my new 2019? Somehow I must have either missed the option when I downloaded and installed 2019 or I can't use my old ones. Thanks
Hello,I am using CANON 550D and CANON 60D cameras.I used Bridge to upload the Files, both in JPG and RAW format.Since a while, the Bridge Downloader does not recognize the RAW files on the cameras any more, while it used to do that before.I had to upload with other programs. Editing the RAW files eventually in Adobe works fine.I just have upgraded to Bridge CC 2019 but the problem still persist. (Windows 10 64 bit PC) Can someone help me out ? Are there some settings that I might have changed without knowing ?Thanks a lot Eric
I am creating contact sheets from bridge using output. What I'd like to do is save paths to each image if you click on them making it interactive. Can I do this thru bridge? Is there a script out there? I can do it manually from Acrobat however this is a big library of images
I'm old and my eyes aren't clear any more. I'm trying to get the text size of labels bigger so I can read them easily. The workspace elements are fine for size and I can change image sizes, but how do you make the label text bigger.I've worked with Windows Display modifications. They change other folders, desktop, icons, menus, etc. just fine, but have no effect on the Adobe CS6 Suite displays. I've been through the forum, FAQs, Bridge users Guide, Working with Bridge Workspace, Preferences, and looked online for help. So far no good.By the way, I sometimes use Dreamweaver, Audition, and Premier Pro and suffer from the same limitations. If there is a way to fix all of them, I'd appreciate knowing.
as i click on "manage cache" on folder, it creates a txt very strange file. is it something to worry about? (i use Imac +Mojave 10.14.2)
When I import from a card or a disk, Bridge changes the order in which the photographs were taken, so that the raws bo have correlated numets, which makes the subsequent selection very difficult. I do not know what is due. Any help or suggestion? Thank you
