If multiple users of Bridge access the same image database, are the Keywords selected on images by each user, common for all users. Or does each user have to allocate their own Keywords. I hope this is not a silly question.
After updating to Bridge CC 2018, I'm very surprised to find that the File Info panel has been changed (downgraded?) to the one that previously was in Photoshop. I now find that:- I can't find an autocomplete option, so I have to type the same info again and again for images with the the same basic subject and description.- I have to select the template to use EVERY TIME I open the panel. Is there something I'm missing here? I heven't been able to find any options or preferences to avoid this.Thanks.
We have a shared network in our office which hosts about 2TB of images. We are trying to set up a system so I can tag the images with keywords so our designers can easily search for the images they need. However, it is taking HOURS to do one images search. Is this simply because we have so many files? Or is it because it's on a shared network? Is there a way to load the metadata FIRST, so Bridge doesn't have to load all the thumbnails before finding the tagged images? Thanks for your help! We are using Adobe CS6.
I was looking into using Bridge across a network so that images can be quickly searched using keywords by multiple users of that network. I have since come across multiple threads stating that bridge is not suitable for use across a network as the XML data is stored to the local cache. Does this mean that if you move your files to another machine you can't see the metadata as it's stored in the cache of the old machine? Is there any way of saving this metadata to the actual files so that if a file were to be moved the metadata is moved along with it. If I were to add metadata to files in Adobe Illustrator for example would this show up in Bridge?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A few month ago after an Creative Cloud update, all my drop down folder previews lost there alphabetical organization. Making it pain to get to where I need to go quickly. I'm able to sort the content windows perfectly fine, this just effects the explorer bar, when I preview a folders contents. Please help! Image example below:
I was wondering what was the best way in setting up Bridge CS4 on a network (12 to 24 workstations). I don't want each computer to have to load the thumbnails from my image bank (around 70,000 images). I know there is an option to build and export cache inside my image bank folders. But is there a way I could have a central cache that all the computers could read from? If so could it be updated as soon as we add another folder of pictures? As an extra question, is there a way to export smart collections other than manually? Thanks for your time
I'm using Adobe Bridge CC 2018 on a late 2013 17" iMac running MacOS High Sierra and have been using Bridge the past few days with no issue. Last night, I selected images in Bridge and opened them in Camera Raw. I was editing last night with no issues. I put my display to sleep, and then this afternoon I turned the display on again to continue working. Bridge wouldn't respond to my clicking on folders or images and wouldn't quit. I Force Quit it (it wasn't listed as not responding in the Force Quit window) and rebooted Bridge. Bridge bounced in my finder as if it was opening, but then stopped bouncing and wouldn't appear on the screen. I tried opening it via the Applications menu instead of the finder bar at the bottom of my screen, still wouldn't open. I check in Force Quit and it says Bridge is open and running but it isn't. I Force Quit it and tried again, still won't open. I uninstalled and reinstalled, still won't open. I found a thread saying to change the "read and write" in pre

I looked in the presets folder: there are NO presets. Every post I have read says the default presets install with the program, but they don't for me. Where can I just download the files and add them to my presets myself?
I tried to download Bridge CC 2018 and i got a msg that my computer specs are not adequate to install. I'm using a mid 2010 27" 2.93Ghz core i7 iMac... what could possibly be wrong?
(Adobe Creative Suite CS 5.1 + Win 10, with the latest updates) - In Bridge, when you right click on an image to open it in Photoshop the app is missing from the list of applications to use. This is a recent issue and I have no idea what may have caused photoshop app to disappear from the list. Question: is there a way of getting Photoshop back on the list of apps that are available to open the image?Thanking you in advance,Rory Tate
So out of the blue today, I open up a bunch of images in Bridge CC (Latest Version) and like I always do, I highlight them, then right click the image then I click "DEVELOP SETTINGS".....then I would choose a preset....all of the files I'm clicking on are "RAW" files. But today I go to do that and all it says is: Camera Raw DefaultsPervious ConversionCopy SettingClear Settings(see photo attached)There used to be a list of all my PRESET THERE.....how can I get them back?Kirk
Just installed the latest version of Bridge 8.0.0.262, where I found that the Description and Keyword panels (in the Info Panel) cannot be resizedI think this is a major step backwards, as I only a couple of lines can be seen. The colour of the panel is also much darker than before, which makes the text harder to read. Usually have more than 20 lines for my purpose (especially the description panel) and need to see than all at once, which I do by expanding the panelI wonder if this could be changed - apart from reinstalling CC 2017?
I'm not sure if I've found a bug or if I'm doing something wrong.I'm trying to create a large contact sheet set from about 1,400 photos. All the photos are in one folder.I tried making a small contact sheet with about 100 photos and it worked fine. However, when I select all 1,400 photos and generate a contact sheet, all of the pages come out blank. The PDF is roughly appropriately sized (the file with 100 photos was about 1.1MB, the one with all 1400 is around 9.5MB), but any PDF renderer shows blank pages.I tried adding a header/footer and when I do that, those items do appear on the output pages, but the photos are still absent.I may be able to get this immediate project done by making multiple contact pages (except that the page numbers will be wrong - suppose I can use Acrobat to fix that) but I was wondering if this is a software limit or if this is a bug.The only other post I've found referencing blank contact sheets had to do with someone who upgraded from Bridge 2017 to 2018 an
Hi,I'm looking for help with Adobe Bridge. I just installed CS4 with Adobe Bridge and I'm unable to view any CR2 RAW files in Bridge, all I see is the image icon and file number
What are the advantages and disadvantages to having this Bridge Preference switch either off or on? Either way, a RAW file opens in ACR. Is it saying that ACR can run independently of Photoshop? Is there a RAM use advantage if set this way?Mike Witherell in Washington DC
Hello,I am using Bridge as my photo import and basic viewing program. I would like to use a workflow, where i open files viewed in bridge directly in DXO-Lab - not i Ps. After having done some basic editing in DXO, i will return the new file to Ps for further editing and printing here. However, i can not find a way to open a file from Bridge in DXO directly. It only opens in Ps. Is there a way to open in DXO??. Can i install DXO as a "plugin" in Bridge??. I do not need to bring editing from Bridge into DXO.Thank you and best regardsPer J.
Hi, I'm hoping someone can suggest a way of fixing a keywording problem that I've run into.I'm not an expert in this, but I have been using Photoshop and Bridge for several years, and with the help of these forums I'm starting to develop some basic scripting skills - very basic, to be honest. My problem is that I have a LOT of files, and I have found many for which the abovementioned sets of keywords are inconsistent. dc:subject is usually correct, but lr:hierarchicalSubject contains keywords I thought I had deleted from my images, and they are no longer in my keyword list. I've included an example extracted from one of my files below.I've searched the forums and I'm aware of the discussion at XMP Hierarchical Subject (lr:hierarchicalSubject) which is the closest match I've found so far. Unfortunately my scripting skills unequal to the script from SuperMerlin in this thread. I'm happy to try modifying that script, but I'm likely to need all the help anyone
I've been working like this for years now, I have all my photos on external hard drive, this is where they have been all the time. Every time I clicked on 'show items in subfolders' they immediately showed up but now it just gives me 'no items to display' with all the folders in there, not a specific one.I tried to clean the cache in few ways, restart pc, reinstall the software. nothing helped.Anny suggestions? Thanks in advance!
So I am tagging archival photos as my job. Part of my hierarchy looks like this: Programs Business Accounting Business Administration Management Accounting However when I tag a photo with the business tag, it tags it for a second, then removes itself then adds an additional business tag in the 'other keywords' tabPrograms Business Accounting Business Administration Management Accounting Other Keyw

I need to know how to bulk/batch extract data from IPTC Core data that I have manually input into hundreds of Scanned Photos. ( jpg's )More specifically, I need to copy the data from IPTC Core fields embedded in many photos, and paste these fields into a spreadsheet.I am using Bridge CC. But I also don't see how to do this in Photoshop CC or Lightroom CC.I apologize in advance for not knowing how to do something so simple.Thank you.
Camera Raw is unable to open my images (new Nikon Coolpix P1000).Any date to add my new P1000 ?Thanks.Mario Boily
