Bridge

In all past restarts, Bridge opened with all collections repopulated. This time, however, that did not occur. Path names to image folders refer to my user name, rather than to the external drive where the images actually reside.I _can_ manually recreate the some of the important collections, but am not optimistic about survival after a restart/shutdown.After posting this I will, however, make a complete shutdown, see if any improvement occurs, and will post a reply here.Thanks in advance.

I mainly use Bridge as a way of tagging my images and videos. With Bridge it gets the work done eventually but the process is laborious and boring.I feel this is a big part of the software that can be improved upon with features including:Keyword suggestions based on keywords used, including locationKeyword suggestions based on imageImproved layout, horribly difficult scrolling through a long list in a small areaFace detection (applies relevant name of person within image)Flikr's layout on displaying tags is so much kinder to the eyes, one to look intoThese are immediate ideas for now, for a long time now I've been considering other keyword solutions. Hi,I wanted to import GoPRO videos as I always do. I noticed I don't have Lightroom anymore (the old CC disappeared and I didn't know I need to choose and install between Classic and CC now) so I opened Bridge instead since I didn't have the time to install Lightroom back. What hit me was the amount of memory it uses while importing photos from card. All of a sudden OS X showed me prompt about not having enough memory to run the system. That was strange taking in consideration my mac is 32GB od RAM and the only apps that were opened were Photoshop and two Chrome tabs. Also it crashed three times while importing...Is this some kind of bug? Screenshots below:

Hi, I need to move some files from one disk on my computer to another hard drive and I wanted to know if I will keep my keywords attached to the files. If the keywords won't be attached to the files, how to move the files and keywords at the same time?Also, I wanted to know if it's possible to hide files that have a specific keyword. Like, I have some pictures with friends on a folder but I want to show only the pictures that don't have the keyword (friends) that I created.Thanks for your help in advance.

I use Adobe CC on a Windows machine. The file system is NFTS and therefore I can give the folders and files a description. I would like to see this inBridge.Does anyone know if this is possible & how?Thank you........................... liz

Hello ..I just installed Bridge CC & was trying to copy all media files from a SD Card. I haven't changed any config's except the folder location, naming etc.The issue i face is that, the Application selects all files, jpg, txt, everything and copies to the local Folder, and since i have marked to delete the originals ; all files are deleted (no folders though) from the SD.Please help me find a way to choose the media files only for the import. I have quite a lot of JPGs, AVIs, MOVs, MP4s.RegardsGJ

Since upgrading to bridge cc 2017 my tiff thumbnails are no longer visible which rather defeats the point of bridge - any ideas

Ist die Bridge für mich Kostenlos oder wird es dann zum Abo ??Lohnt sich der Umstieg zur Bridge CC ?Bleibt meine alte Bridge erhalten ?Wäre schön ein paar Informationen zu bekommen.

Als ik dubbelklik op een afbeelding in Bridge verwacht ik dat de afbeelding in Photoshop wordt geopend,. Dat werkt niet. De foto wordt geopend in Windows Viewer. Hoe is dat te verhelpen?

Hello, I have set the "export cache to folders" in the preferences in bridge thinking I will never have to backup my database since the cache is not in one specific place but "travels" 😉 with the pictures in that specific folder.So when I move the folder, the cache of that folder goes along with it.Am I right about that? Or am I wrong about this? If so, I am also wondering why I still have to pick a cache location below that "export to folder" preference? Since the cache is all in different folders then... guess I am missing something here? Thanks in advance

I need some HELP! I have cc photoshop 2015.5 in my computer. that version because it works with Nik Collection. I had updated to the new version and discovered my Nik Filters don't work so re-installed 2015.5. Here is the problem I need the adobe bridge version to go with this and can't figure it out! Adobe support keeps sending me in circles and i have been trying for hours to figure it out. I just deleted adobe bridge 2018 as it would not allow me to view my raw files. ugh oh I have a Nikon d500 camera.Please someone Help me! Thanks so much Susan

Since updating to windows 10 Bridge is looking in C drive to open photoshop when clicking on a photo. When I installed everything I placed photoshop  on my E drive. Is there a way to reset bridge so it looks in the E drive for the photoshop exe instead of the C drive. it looks like it just needs a letter change at the start of the path.

Hi,If the "Start Bridge at login" option is unchecked, Bridge maintains a useless empty entry in the Windows registryHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | AdobeBridgeThis is wrong. The AdobeBridge value should be deleted, not emptied. This may fool some startup management utilities. Not a big deal but this very old bug should be fixed now.

Yesterday I upgraded to Photoshop and Bridge CC 2018 from last years version. I also installed High Sierra on my Mac. I am currently working on layered files that are in 16 bit and in Pro RGB. They are about 400 M. Now when I save them as either a PSD or as a PSB the previews display as shown below. I have never encountered this before. Is this a know issue with Bridge CC 2018? Any idea how to fix this? I have re-saved the files a few times and that didn't seem to fix it.

I mainly shoot with two different cameras and end up with two different types of files- a Nikon D800, which gives me NEF files, and a Canon G7X Mark II, which gives me CR2 files. I import files directly from cards into Lightroom (6.10.1), but when they are from the Canon, I immediately convert them into DNG files. I have done this workflow for years from older DSLR Nikon & Canon small cameras with no problems.Once I do my quick editing to get rid of bad images and renumber images, I save changes to the raw/DNG files, then open that folder in Bridge CS6 (5.0.2.4). I click on one or more files at a time to open them in the ACR window, make adjustments, then click Done. Generally I do not mix NEF and DNG files when doing this- one or the other. Sometimes Bridge saves just fine, other times...I get the progress bar, sometimes with spinning beach ball, then Bridge crashes, and I loose my edits. Hi all,We have here same issue that this discussion:Bridge CS6 Export Panel has stopped working overnight (i.e. the window of export panel doesn't show from 2 week ago, and now we can't make any export from Brigde CS6. It is important for our work).Then, I follow instructions on this KB, from previous discussion:Export panel not working in Bridge CS6 But, for us, this workaround doesn't solve issue. using Bridge CC2018 on a new computer. I can't get a pdf to view full size (fill the screen) in the preview tab.

I just have upgraded to Bridge CC 2018 only to find out that all custom templates I had created in the output module are gone. There does not seem to be an easy solution for this issue as I have been told by Adobe support. The reason for this seems to be that the old output module file format used to store the settings for custom templates where .json files while the new version of Bridge uses .xml files for those. So if you have, like me, many custom templates it might be good if you manually write down all the settings you have used in order to create those templates new in Bridge CC 2018.

Hi all.  I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out.  I've just downloaded Bridge CC 2018. I haven't used Bridge prior to now.  I can add a folder to my favourites but when I click on the folder in favourites it opens a mac finder winder instead of opening the folder within Bridge to view the contents.  The default favourites (e.g. pictures, desktop etc) operate as expected just not ones I've added.  Has anyone experienced this issue and managed to resolve it?... or do I have the wrong interpretation of what 'favourites' should do?Thanks in advance
