Bridge frozen, perfectly ok previous day. I can use the left hand scroll bar but cannot open any files. There is no malware. I have the latest version. have reset preferences, reset default workspace and purged cache. I have checked start up scripts. etc., Any ideas please. If I delete Bridge and reinstall do I have to do this in a certain order OR just delete the programme???
I was prompted to update my Adobe Bridge, and upon launching the updated software, I was met with constant crashing. I can't even scroll more than two lines into a folder before the program closes. For reference, here are my system specs: Windows 10 AMD Ryzen 5 3600 16GB of RAM (2x8GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Zotac RTX 3060 12GB OC Adata Swordfish 250GB M.2-2280 NVME SSD (This is the drive with the files I'm attempting to access) If someone knows what to do about this, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out, as this program is literally unusable at this point. {Title edited by Moderator}

I can't believe Adobe is dropping support for Bridge 12 in Sequoia. It's still the most stable version of Bridge in my opinion. We had all sorts of issues with Bridge 14+ on an M2 Mac mini. There were weird thumbnail caching issues with external usb hard drives. They would constantly reload and take forever to reload every time you launched the app. Labeling and tagging images would sometimes revert for no reason. Any chance you could just revert the changes and go back to Bridge 12 when everything worked? If not, I'm afraid we're stuck on Sonoma for the forseeable future. These newer Bridge updates have just gotten worse and worse.
Bridge 15.0.4 crashes everytime when trying to labelling, rating, writing metadata in Macos Ventura. It happens everytime since I updated to this version. And won't open .cr3 files in bridge itself.
I have several folders of family photos nested like this: 2025 Jan 01 20 Feb 01 132024 Jan 01 20 Feb 01 13 Inside each folder I have certain images tagged with the red label. Is there an action or a batch process that can copy all of the red images from the nested folders into one folder on my desktop?
I just installed Bridge 2025 on my new Mac Studio. I got an error message "GPU Rendering is Disabled" and something about Photo Downloader not working. Has something to do with Adobe not bothering to update Bridge for Apple Silicon processors (after three years?). How will GPU Rendering being disabled affect my work experience with Bridge? What's not goin to work? Thanks.
When I import a folder to Bridge from an external harddrive it is empty when I open it. Then I cannot delete it or replace it. I have restarted and reinstalled Bridge but nothing helps. How to solve it? / Johan
I'm still recovering from the horrors of the Bridge V13 disasterous UI redesign, but I've learned to deal with many of the remaining issues - though the product has never been as useful or efficient as before... V13 was The Bridge Killer. One thing that is still a huge pain (driving me nuts today especially) is the file path bar should live BELOW the content tabs. Additionally the rest of that bar AND the search bar should live on that same level.so it feels like the tab is actually associated with the pathso searches for each tab are unique and what is shown applies to its own individual tabso if you pull a tab out into a separate window you can tell what the heck is going on with that tab. Currently it's just thumbnails out in space with nothing... (See attached image).
Is there a way to just type in a file number in Adobe Bridge to select it? It's tedious and time-consuming having to hunt through hundreds of images when a quick entry could take me directly to the image I want.
1. Please add a 'shortcut' key for 'close a single content panel' (ex., Ctrl+W). Every time I have to click on the '3 lines' option key to close one panel. That is annoying... 2. I wish the file name greyed out when the 'Ctrl+x' cut key was applied.
This decision to remove the 12.0.4 version from the Creative Cloud desktop app has been taken to ensure adherence to Adobe's download policy. For more info on the policy, click here. Since the application version is no longer in development, and will no longer receive security updates, it may pose a security risk moving forward. We strongly encourage all users to upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible. We remain committed to your success, and are here to provide continued support throughout this transition and beyond. Thank you for being a valued part of our community. Note: Users with the 12.0.4 version installed on their devices can continue using the application, though its not recommended as it may pose security risk.
hello,Sometimes after opening and editing a jpg in camera raw and pressing "done" the changes are not saved and do not appear anywhere. Why does this happen?I usually use bridge for masking and changing color.
Will you please fix this multiyear problem that a user can not re-open a file that was previously "edited" in Lightroom. All that happens is a message: "Previously added". As if this is the point of Lightroom ... adding files. As a result of this message, the user now has to figure out the date, and then go pawing through Lightroom Library, where there could be hundreds of similar photos from that day in the Library. It's a timeconsuming waste of time. 5 minutes. Why would a user want to "edit" a photo again? Adjust the color. Re-crop. All kinds of reasons. Just open the photo. Previous "edit" or settings applied is fine! JUST OPEN THE FILE. It's what the user wants to do. Re-edit. OPEN THE FILE. Lightroom knows where the file is in the Library. OPEN THE FILE. Yes, I know there is no such thing as destructively "editing" a photo in Lightroom. It is not helpful to turn this report into a discussion that Lightroom doesn'
I reently installed PS and Bridge 2025. Bridge will not open, When I try I get a message "Program quit because on an unknown error." I am running Sequoia 15.1.1. Sugestions?
Hi, currently experiencing an issue where after previewing a video file in Adobe Bridge in any way, whether that be through the preview panel or hovering your mouse over the file, it no longer allows me to rename it. Trying to rename normally (right clicking and clicking rename) comes up with the error "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." Attempting to rename with batch rename does nothing; the files just keep their original names, and no error pops up. Closing the preview panel prevents it from doing this; however, even hovering my mouse over the file to skim through the video causes this issue as well. If I manage to right click the file and click rename or batch rename before the thumbnail begins to scroll through the video, then there or no issues and I can rename just fine. I am running the current version of Bridge on Windows 11 and have tried reinstalling, rebooting, and clearing preferences/cache. Any help appreciated.
Upgraded to the new 2019 Versions of the CC apps today, but I am unable to sync the color settings across apps. Also, the color setting do not stick within the individual apps. I update the universal color settings in bridge and apply, if I quit and relaunch bridge the color settings indicate they are not synced. If I open Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign the color settings are indeed not synced. I can manually update the settings in each app, but as soon as I quit, and relaunch, each app, the color settings have reverted back to their 'defaults'.I have deleted all CC applications and data, run the CC Cleaner app, reinstalled CC from scratch and the color setting issue still remains. This behavior isn't happening with the 2018 versions of the apps. I can set a global color setting in Bridge and it will apply to all apps. The apps maintain the color setting between quit and relaunch.Mainly just curious if anyone else has seen this behavior?
When I open Bridge i'm getting a blank screen with black boxes. I can use the dropdowns but any dialogue boxes that appear are blacked out. I have tried reinstalling the app, emptying the caches and reseting the prefs, I think, as it's difficult to do when i can't see what I'm selecting.
I'm new to javascript with Bridge.I want to pass a filepath to Bridge 2025 using applescript and have Bridge reveal the file and also change the file's star ratings. The filepath is in Numbers and I pass it in a string variable to Bridge. If I use the open command, it works but there's a long delay of about 5 seconds before control is returned back to the ApppleScript -- too painful for many files to be run through quickly this way. When I try to save the code below, I get an "Expected end of line" with javascript highlighted after "do". In Bridge's startup script folder, I put the code shown below as recommended by AI.This *prevents* the function "selectFile" from running until Applescript sends the request to run that function with the parameter "filepath" (according to AI). For ease of finding my script, I'd like to put this script in the StartupScript folder if I can keep it from running at startup, but putting it there isn't essential if it complicates things too much. If
I recently switched from an M1 iMac to a 2019 Intel based Macbook Pro (Running Sonoma 14.5).Ever since the switch, when I open Bridge it creates a large number of cache_.dat files on the external drive where my photos are located. In the Settings there is a cache location instruction which is set to HD / My username / Libraries / Caches / Adobe Bridge / Cache / v36, but there is no Adobe Bridge folder there (even when viewing hidden files). Instead it seems to be just putting the files on the external drive. There were several thousand files that I had to remove. These files don't gp away when I close the app and don't go away when I tell it to purge cache files.i have uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge and it made no difference. Any thoughts? Thanks!Phil
Dear community, for quite some time now a real weird behaviour of the magnifying glass is annoying me both in Bridge 2024 and 2025. When viewing small images (i.e. 640x400px) it shows a strange facetted-effect.I used Bridge CS6 before - there the magnifying-glass-window was always filled completely with the selected magnification as shown below. Is that a bug in 2024/2025? Do I have some presets wrong? What can be done to have the correct rendering? It's reeeeally annoying when using it for detail research on several images. (CS6 was running on macOS El Capitan. Now I am using Bridge 2024 with macOS Monterey 12.7.6 and also tried Bridge 2025 with a clean install of macOS Sonoma 14.7.2. - Unfortunately both are showing the same effect.) Bridge CS6: Bridge 2024 and 2025:
Using Bridge 15.0.4.534, although this was also the case in the previous version, before i updated just now. WHAT I'M SEEINGI have a folder containing many nested folders, most of which contain image files. In the sidebar, i have the top level folder selected, and below that, i have expanded FILE TYPE.The list of filtering checkboxes under File Type show just the contents of the currently selected folder. GOALHave the Filter > File Type feature return results from all sub-folders Not sure if the above would constitute less of a filter and more of a search. But i was assuming there'd be some way in Bridge to show me everything of X file type within the current folder PLUS sub-folders.
I'm experimenting with bridge as a potential tagging alternative to what we are already using. The big problem I'm facing is we cannot tag by changing the file name due to our need to edit with the clips while others on our team tag them. We currently tag in another software using what is essentially the description and keywords. If I could add the clip description to the panel where we could edit it just as if we were editing the clip title, that would pretty much solve the only big issue switching software would cause. I have absolutely zero idea of how to write scripts for this, so if anyone has one that would be a tremendous help!
Recently, IT installed a new server at our company, which contained our photo files. Since that time, we can't label photos in Bridge, and if we make edits in Camera Raw and click "Done," we get a message that says "Unable to save the raw conversion settings. There was a write permissions error." Everything works fine for raw photos located on the computer and another external hard drive. All updates have been made. Any thoughts?
