I am facing a serious issue with Adobe After Effects. As soon as I open my project, After Effects starts hanging and becomes completely unresponsive. Along with the software, my entire PC also starts hanging and I am unable to do any work. Please help me resolve this problem as soon as possible.

Hey everyone,Since this morning I’ve been encountering very unusual problems with my After Effects, Premiere Pro and parts of the Illustrator UI (haven’t tested any other apps).Whenever I select a panel it immediately looses focus and deselects itself. Unable to search or input values on layer properties within the current build of After Effects. Every time I try to select an input text bar (i.e. search bars, input value boxes, etc.) it immediately cancels out, not allowing to type. Search bars and input text bars work when panels are un-docked but within the workspace. I've tried:RestartingReseting PreferencesRe-installing After EffectsReseting WorkspacesUn-installing pluginsUnfortunately the problem still presists, has anyone found a fix for this?

issue with aftereffects UI displaying on a pc, 2024 works fine, installed 2025 and this is ewhat i see, the preview screen works fine, the rest of the UI is doing this, if you randomly click in the screen you can see that everything is there you just cant see it.   

I cannot activate any numeric fields by clicking on them (Position, Rotate, Opacity, Scale, etc.), to type in numbers — only scrubbing changes the numbers. When using After Effects I'm unable to use dropdown menus to change things like quality, size of my composition on screen, and other dropdown menus I have from scripts. The dropdowns are still there but when I click on them nothing happens. I do have third-party plugins/panels installed and I am on Windows 11 24H2 with a Ryzen 5 5600, RX 6600, and 24gb of RAM.

Meu After e meu Photoshop estão com esse bug, ao clicar com o mouse em algumas áreas, simplesmente não abre e fica bugando o clique. O bug acontece apenas nos aplicativos, no computador, navegador e outros problemas não acontece, estão normais. Tenho todos os drivers atualizados, tudo atualizado.

Have seperated all my files in illustrator but when I import into after effects, only some of the layers are imported from the artwork. There is no error message they just will not be added for some reason?

Hello, I have a bug on: 1. After Effects V 25.3.2 (with Neat Video plug-in)2. on Mac Studio 2022 (M1 and Sequoia 15.5) and MacBook 2019 (Sequoia 15.6).3. DNG Sony FS7 camera RAWs, which I open in AE in: All Files/Camera Raw//Camera Raw Sequence.4. The expected result is colorimetric conformity between Camera Raw and After Effects (a workflow I've been using for 8 years without any issues until now, but stopped using for at least several months). The actual result is a completely different colorimetry in After Effects (see visual 2) compared to the desired colorimetry set in Camera Raw (see visual 1). Hi. I’ve encountered an annoying parenting bug in my project. I created a simple position animation on the parent layer, and when I try to adjust the keyframes on the timeline, the child layers behave as if I never changed the keyframes. Even when I try to unparent them, they still move as if they’re still linked to the parent layer. 

AE, PP and Media Encoder are often eating all of my 128gb of RAM. I'm not doing anything special to make this happen, just using them as I have for 15 years. Just opening Media Encoder and it sitting idle is currently consuming 25gb of RAM. I will put this down to generally appalling performance I'm getting on this release across all of the video apps. I have never, ever seen any software perform so sluggishly. Black frames, glitches, random upside down frames. It's absurd. What is going on at Adobe? 

In previous versions of After Effects, when using the Rotate Tool (W), holding Shift would constrain rotation in fixed increments (by default, 45°). In the latest versions, this “angle snap” behavior seems to have been removed, and holding Shift no longer locks rotation to specific angles.This feature was extremely useful for precise alignment and fast workflow. Could you confirm if this change was intentional? If so, is there any way to re-enable it, or could it be added back in future updates? Also, is there any keyboard shortcut or alternative method that replicates the old behavior?

Básicamente me pasa con un cliente para quien edito videos.Al principio el archivo va bien y se ve perfecto pero según pasa el tiempo y voy editando no se porque el video empieza a traerme fallos y a romperse lo cual es rarisimo. No se como solucionar este problema.  El video crudo se ve perfecto no tiene esos destellos de luz.  Tampoco tengo alguna capa superior que moleste o provoque ese tipo de flash raro. 

Okay, so I have a huge problem that I've been trying to fix for days, whenever I click on anything inside of my project the whole screen just flickers and when I use effects, it flickers, basically just when I do anything, it flickers like crazy, even when I'm previewing. There's a video attached to this post where you can see the problem, I really hope someone can help me🙏

After opening windows, they always position themselves in the middle of the application on the main monitor (I work on two monitors).The attached video shows exactly what is going on. It does not only concern the color palette. It is a general problem.

1. After Effects Version 25.0 2. Windows 11, version 24H2 3. Audio error such as jumps, muted, and glitch. Played the original audio file in the explorer and it's all good but in the AE the audio experiencing errors both on the previews and rendered. Hi,I have a new problem. I'm using Adobe dynamic link in Premiere quite often, and it almost always works just fine. Today, I used it just as always, and suddenly, the imported footage into AE got really overexposed. I tried to import the same footage directly to AE (without Premiere), and I had the same problem. It is not possible to work with it. Even when I tried to dial it down with Lumetri color, it didn't work. Those whites behave like they are just blown out. But they are not as you can see at screenshots. It is footage from A7IV in Slog3 (it does the same with LUTs on it).

In After Effects Beta 26 on Windows 11, when I use a protected region marker and scroll the timeline, the left side takes the color of the first protected region marker. It disappears weirdly when I hover my mouse.The behavior starts when I scroll the timeline to the right, where the layers or timeline go behind the left panel or layer properties panel. At that moment, the panel takes the first marker/protected region label color, and hovering my mouse over it makes the color vanish at that spot.I can also draw on it in circles to try to remove it faster, but it behaves inconsistently. 

Hi! I have this error come up when using AE 25.5. It's been days and I've been through the basics of troubleshooting to no avail. When I go open up the software, the splash screen doesnt pop up. Instead a series of pop up messages come up. When following the prompts of these pop ups all windows close and the application doesnt open. I'm not trying to open a file. I'm having an issue with AE where it clips my white values when I put any effect (exposure, hue/sat, etc) on my layers. Even negative exposure of -.01 will suddently clip the whites. It's like it turns it into 8bit instead of its native 32.Project color settings are OCIO Aces 1.3/32 bit / working linear ACEScg.,Sequence is a 32bit ACEScg exr, interpreted as ACEScg,viewport display is set to sRGB Display/ACES 1.0 - SDR Video (tried others too). Also tried None and have been  using the OCIO display transform on an adjustment layer.Raw Sequences look great, but when I put an effect (like exposure) on some sequences directly, I notice whites get capped with barely any adjustment, even negative adjustment of exposure.Weird: I can buffer the entire animation with capped (wrong looking) whites, and in the OCIO Display Transform effect, if I hit 'reset' it will 'fix' the entire sequence once. So it looks perfect. If I adjust a single thing, it re-caps all whites. Hitting reset again fixes
