Wish I could be more specific, but as of recently, seems within this project I'm working on that 2023 attempts to open a file, throws two errors, and then decides the file is corruptable and needs to be saved, while then opening the "corrupted" file as a (converted) file is automatically saves. "After effects error: error attempting to duplicate a text Object. Skipping the text later. (76::53)""your project file is apparently damanged (skipped sectoins: 1) Please save using  a different name. (26::0)"Unfortunately I can't just make a new project from scratch as this is client related AE proj that needs to be duplicated into different languages, but since it just saves a back up converted file I'm not completely lost. Just wondering if anyone else is experience this really odd behavior. I'm using a very simple number counter expression, but I think the "error attempting to duplicate a text object" might be related to the Overlord plugin in some way I don't understand. Wil

Hi. I regularly work with data files in Adobe's MGJSON format. I have detected a problem where large numbers are constrained to a lower limit in certain situations. Take this minimal file example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r2pocu067skwgx6/mgjson.mgjson?dl=0(by the way, shouldn't this forum accept uploading MGJSON files?) Any large data values are constrained to 32768 or less. You would think this is just the largest number AE can read, but if we tweak the data outline and define a slightly different legal range, the values are read correctly:- Changing the minimum legal value to 0 fixes the issue- Adding a decimal point and a zero to the min and max legal values also fixes itI'm not sure why AE needs to know the min and max values. I was just using the max value that can be repredented in a JSON file, but from now on I thin I will use the min and max occuring values to try and avoid this bug.

I'm an After Effects user of 20 years, and I have never experienced this one. Essentially I cannot preview anything! Simple text animations (preview set to 1/16 res) will not playback in real-time. Dropping an HD 30fps video into a new comp also doesn't playback in real-time, despite having no effects applied. I have a pretty decent machine - specs below. And yes, I've tried dumping the cache, restarting AE/my machine and all other obvious troubleshooting protocols.  OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19045 Build 1904511th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 64,0 GBNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Adobe has been failing hard in recent years. After Effects Stop Responding and Freeze importing PSD file as 'Editable Layer Styles'.Other files are imported. If you merge all the layers, then the psd file will be added. The problem occurs when I try importing as editable layers.Tried clearing cache, rebooting. Didn't resolved issue. Windows 11 / AE23.1 / RTX 3060 / i7-1200H / 16GB RAMall drivers updated with latest ver.

I just updated my MP (Late 2013) macOS to 12.6.3 so i could then update 2023 (23.0 and above) versions of AE and PRE but both installs in the CC app have failed.  Is there a compatibility issue here with a MP this old? thanks  

I'm not sure what is happening here. Every time I add something into the composition, e.g, a photo, effect, ect. The comp window freezes. Although, I am able to access all features of AE while this occurs. Even scrolling increases or decreases the magnification or minimization of the project, yet it remains frozen. When I close AE it crashes and cannot be re-opened without restarting the computer. I really suspect it may be a graphics issue but my GPU is supported and up to date. This problem occured after some use with this new build buat initialy everything worked fine.  Here is what I have done. - Removed and Updated drivers- Uninstalled Re-installed AE and AE 22.1- Looked for bugs or errors in Windows 11- Reinstalled OS My Comp Specs are OS Windows 11CPU i7 13000KF (Intel UHD 700)Discrete GPU AMD Radeon WX3200 4G64GB RAM DDR42T Samsung Evo SSDI scrolled here and quit the program and as you can see the Comp is now much larger. Can anyone please please help me sort the below? I tried to delete the software, downgrade and it's still not working, it works fine on my friends windown computer but no longer works on my machine (Macbook) which is where I started the project initially. Hello Nerds!First time using Production with Premiere Pro brings tons of problems.If I try to export a Pr sequence to Ae or replace clips with an Ae Comp, I alway get an error like "unknown internal Error". Some clips are then in AE but without content that can be displayed.Footage is empty.Copy and past some clips will also cause errors like these "unknown error "5027 § 12" or "17 § 19"(see sreenshots) Any ideas how to get it work again? AE Version: 23.2.0OS: Windows 11 In my first comp with all the layers, if I turn on either the Timecode effect layer, or simply a text layer with this expression: timeToFrames(thisLayer.sourceTime())The green cache playback bar doesnt show. However, if I put these layers in their own comp, the green cache playback bar does work as expected.

Hello guys. ı have one projext but ı can do not render. it's app not do render. Or if it does, it's taking too long. As in the example, the video I put in 15 seconds, 4-5 effects takes more than 24 hours to render. can anyone help

Previously, After Effects allowed us to use the keyboard modifiers combo "Control + Command" for the customized shortcuts, but now it does not work. I tried dragging an extension or a script from the command section to the keyboard layout, but this will not work. The temporary workaround will be editing the shortcut text file directly. Is this a known issue?

Hello.I have a legitimate Adobe After Effects CS6 and recently needed to use it and it's running very slowly. It turned out that it does not see my Nvidia Geforce 1050 Ti card and does not use CUDA.Can someone help me, I use this program occasionally, but sometimes I need it. help.

I thought I'd officially report an issue with R3D files.This has been a problem since AE 2020 but now that 2023 has ACES built-in I thought it might be easier to do something about it. Since AE 2020, the default colorspace for the R3D raw importer has been RedWideGamutRGB with a gamma curve of Log 3G10. This was a deliberate change and was noted in the AE 2020 release notes. The problem is that this colorsapce is not supported by the native ICC system, and After Effects interprets R3D files as rec 709.  This means that R3D files look wrong on import.  Anyone using AE 2020 - 2022 has had 2 options, either manually change the raw importer back to rec 709, or download OCIO and work with the Red colorspace using ACES. But this requires technical knowledge and the basic issue is that the default color settings for R3D files are wrong. With AE 2023 now supporting Red colorsapces through ACES, at least AE can now deal with Red colorspaces natively.  But the R3D f

This latest build of AE (23.2.0) doesn't recognize my Helvetica Neue and Gotham font families (and I'm sure there's others). What happened??? This happened in some previous builds and Adobe was able to fix it fairly quickly... I hope that will be the case with this build as well... I use these fonts in a number of client projects. Please help and fix!

I have a problem with after effects 2023, i work my project in after effects 2022 and works ok, but in after effects 2023 crash every times.I rework the project and fail too. Testing all layers i discover the problem. is an .mov file crashing the AE 2023.

Using the latest version of AE 2023 & PS.Importing a layered PSB file into After Effects. As soon as I click on a layer, I get a "zero denominator comparing ratios (17::16)" error, in some cases it keeps recurring to the point I can't even quit the application. Screen recording attached below - note this this is a new project with no other assets loaded.  The error appears when I double-click on a layer.

For years, I was able to import a certain .pdf (that is part of one of my templates), but now, all of a sudden, Ae comes up with an error. The .pdf does not contain any text...

every time the second time I play the timeline with space or prview with shortcut it the timeline plays again.the right thing would be to stop the play the second time.I don't know why and maybe it's an after effect 2023 bug.the third time it stops but it pisses me off every time I'm working. I need to click twice to stop.someone help me to solve

The new H264 encoder out of AE is a welcome addition, but am I the only one experiencing absolutely horrible audio quality?  Even if I set the AAC bitrate to 512kbps, music still sounds heavily compressed.  Video quality is solid; not sure why the audio is so bad. If I send it through to Media Encoder, audio is fine, even at a lower bitrate. Is this a bug of some kind, or is there some hidden setting I can change?
