I have been using AE Beta and having no issues until I've tried rendering out some animated 3d objects and seem to have some weird ghost purple boxes that are not on the original file, anyone know a work around for this?

Hi I'm playing around with the 3D functionality in the beta. I have imported a textured obj file. It works fine. In the project manager I can even see it's texture file (psd). That's really cool. However if I open that texture file in Photoshop and edit it, the change doesn't happen in AE. Since you are linking to the texture file it would be cool if I could update that or even switch it out for another. Another related bug. Once I have imported a obj with a texture file. If I delete the obj from AE. Change the texture file. Export the obj with the same name or another. It will still not update the texture file. It is as if it has already been used, it will be stuck with it. The only way to update the texture is to duplicate the texture and give it a new name, re-export the obj and then load it. - Jakob

Hello, I have encountered an issue where when I try to add a 3D object into my composition, it completely fails to show the object correctly. (Sometimes its just missing, others some "ghost" components show up. By ghost I mean the following:I export my OBJs from Fusion360 , there are multiple components in my Fusion design, but I export a specific body as an OBJ and then other bodies, not the one I exported randomly show up in the view of after effects. After restarts, the issue randomly goes away/comes back.

I'm using the latest AE Beta and I downloaded a brain 3D model (obj) from the Adobe stock. Each time I import the file, the model is never whole.  I've toggled the 3d Draft on and off, no difference. the same goes for when I change resolutions from half to full.  Would anyone know as to why the model is not whole?My system:  I tried fbl format, I would then get the rainbow cube.  Quite the unpleasant tease this is.... 

Importing multiple .obj leads to duplicates of previously added objects when dragged to timeline. Using beta 23.3.0 build 11. I then imported glb and it rendered the correct newly added object. 

When using multi-view (4 or 2) I am getting the same viewpoint in all four cameras. Exited and reentered multiview and still happening. Hovering over objects shows where they should be rendering to.  Just updated to AE Beta 23.3.0 but was having this issue with prvious version too. 

Hi there.  Since I saw you all tweaking the colorama's color picker for the next update, It would be nice to change that color wheel to the default shape layer's gradient interface as well. I've worked in a lot of projects in the past that we needed to position the colors precisely on the wheel but it was hard to achive it without a percentage slider parameter like we have on the shape layer's gradient interface. That would be awesome and thank you!

The memory and performance bug keeps appearing on a non heavy project in the After Effects Beta app + After Effects 2023. I have plenty RAM and have tried all possible solutions to stop this problem, fix this bug please.

When slecting and moving keyframes in the timeline, there's a lag and "stickiness" where they will continue to move with the mouse instead staying in place. 

Has anyone else come across this?AE won't start just keeps erroring this and creating dump files on desktop 😕😕 Been testing the Beta since it was open to public, first time something like this happend. I thought maybe it was a faulty build they released but in the last week there were already two new updates and the error is still showing 😞

In a big project... with hundreds of comps, copying a few layers inside a comp to paste into another is quite laggy.

Thanks for working so hard on this guys.  I love beta on my M1.  I haven't had any issues until the last couple updates including the new release. Mostly text and graphics issues.  Need to close down and reboot.  But text change propogation is real laggy.   I was wondering if you are optimizing for Ventura and I just need to update from Monterey.  I've avoided doing so in case of issues.  But if you guys are optimizing forward for Ventura, I'll update if you think that will help.  Thanks.

When importing an ae project, hitting cancel creates a cascade of errors and unlinked missing files to appear in the project window

Steps to reproduce:1. Set a comp to Cinema 4D renderer2. Add some text3. Make it 3D, extrude the text and add some bevel4. Add different colours to the front and bevels5. See those lovely colours6. I change my work station GPU to MSI 3060 (12GB). I update my after effects beta to last version (23.1.0 66 build).Specs. Windows 11, 32gb RAM, CPU 11700kFAfter rendering or before rendering after effects reload (or reboot) my GPU. Only relaunching the app is helping. Maybe the problem is, what after effects use 100% of GPU or something like that.Maybe the problem is that i use Red Giants plugins (colorista + looks). Please fix this bug. 

Is it just me, or are the cursor icons missing? Hand, arrows(leftRight) and so on... I just see the default arrow

I wanted to see how fast the M1 would roto.  Opened clip I used before on different machine.  Selected person then tried to frame through roto.  CRASH right away.

Crashes when applying Look to adjustment layer from Library     Mac M1 laptop

There is no problem with OCIO settings in color management, but in the Japanese environment of the Mac version, a Unicode error occurs when trying to use OCIO for effects.This can be avoided by starting OS and Ae in English mode; the Windows version has no problem in Japanese environment.

Hi,i'm having the same issue but a different error code, 127 whihc i supposed to be resolved following the troubleshoot. Allowed my win10 user to gain all rights on the temp folder, reboot the system and disabled the AV. The percentage indicator slows at 47%, takes minutes to reach 48% and after a few minutes comes up with failure alert, "Unable to install". I've tried several times, the log states as follows:"Exit Code: 127 -------------------------------------- Summary -------------------------------------- - 1 fatal error(s), 12 error(s), 0 warnings(s) FATAL: Error occurred in extract of package (Name: AdobeAfterEffectsBetaBetaAllTrial_maxon Version: 23.1.0.62). Highlights from glow display black edging. Almost a "dark glow". Not diplayed using Adobe colourmanage and 32bit lin setup. Sidenote. using ocio config Aces CG v2 (beta) issue is less but still visible.   

Steps to reproduce:Select a layer whose anchor point is not at its center.Layer > Transform > Center anchor point in layer content Result: Anchor point does move to the center of the layer, but the layer's position changes dramatically, moving to a different area of the comp. This behavior has been present in the last several versions of the beta.Expected: In After Effects v22, this command moves the anchor point, but the layer stays put. System info    Application: After Effects (Beta) v23.1.0.39    OS: macOS v12.6.0, RAM: 64.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10

My Mac is M1 and has 32GB of memory. It says "low memory warning ram use has been extended for previews" every 1-5 minutes, which drives me nuts.When AE Beta shows this warning, I checked my Mac memory and the remaining memory is 13~20 GB.I set RAM reserved for other applications at 3 GB and RAM available for AE at 29 GB on the preferences.So I guess this problem is not about my Mac, but AE Beta. This issue has started since I updated AE Beta in the new version last week(I hadn't updated AE Beta for a couple of months). It affects my work and time so badly.Please fix it and increase compatibility with Apple Silicons.
