I tried opening a session file but it kept crashing. After trying with other sessions, I found out that it was due to a video being in the session. This happened across multiple sessions where I inserted multiple videos. I've tried updating graphics drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled Audition, used Adobe cleaner tool. Nothing seems to stop it from crashing.
I was alerted to this issue by my podcast host Captivate graciously correcting it when uploading MP3s to them, and it seems to have been an issue since early April 2023. The duration of an MP3 saved in the metadata seems to be a few seconds shorter than the actual length of the audio file. This can quickly be seen when opening a file in Audition itself, or any other app. This doesn't cause problems for most apps - they'll simply play back the file anyway - but it confuses podcast hosts and anyone else who might create players based on the metadata. As a result of this, it's causing extra work for these companies. I'm using Audition 23.3.0.55 on MacOS 12.6.5. I've created MP3s from Audition using both the Match Loudness process and directly saving through the File dialogue and seen the same results - duration metadata seen through "Get Info" on MacOS is consistently inaccurate.
Hi there,I can't move clips along the timeline - but I can move a clip from one track to another. But thesame timeline. This happens when I work on my MacBook Pro (some keys were damagedby liquid; I use an external keyboard and blue tooth-linked mouse). When I edit the same video project on PC - I work normally and do not have this problem.BTW: The same happens when I use Adobe Premiere.Any ideas about what's wrong with moving the clips on MacBook? What can I do to make itwork correctly? Many thanks!
If you have a track locked in premier and you use the edit>edit in audition>sequence. And you send that to audition, and then you select all that audio, and you copy and paste it into a new/existing mix the track that was locked in premier won't paste it in the correct spot in time, and it gets all weird when you try to move it,
A new bug has surfaced with the latest update.I'm on version 23.3.0.55, and now when I add a Cue Marker (using the F8 shortcut OR the menu) it moves the display window back to the start of the file. The conditions:This happens only in the Edit windowThis happens only when zoomed in to somewhere other than the beginning of the file It would be nice to get this fixed. Thank you in advance. Ever since I upgraded to build 23.3.055 when I go to export an audio file to the same external drive I've been using since and prior to the upgrade, it will not save to the destination / pathway that pops up - instead I have to go through an extra step of clicking on the browse > Save As - which takes me to the same directory - then click OK (see attached video) - the error I first get suggest that the destination may not exist or the HD is full, which is neither the case, plenty of HD space and destination pathway is there.Changes that we're made before this all happened were:1) Used / using this External HD to backup the computer using "Time Machine" - prior to upgrading computer's OS2) Upgraded my OS to Ventura (V 13.3)3) Upgraded Audition from V 22.6 to V 23.3.055 I have noticed in my Creative Cloud - my earlier and now latest versions of Audition on my list of "Installed" but I'm only opening and using V23.3.055 on my DAW. I would appreciate any ideas, thoughts on how
On a Windows 10 desktop PC, Adobe Audition 23.3.0.55. Dropping a region marker anywhere in Waveform editor causes the view and playhead to jump to the very beginning of the file. This happens on any wav file, no matter where you drop the marker, it automatically jumps to the beginning and you lose your place. One workaround I found is if you notice the marker number you just dropped, you can manually jump back to that marker. Another workaround is if you are lucky and you haven't clicked anywhere to reposition the cursor, you can use an arrow key on the keyboard to return the view to where the cursor is, and it might be where you left it. This incorrect behavior is new. In previous versions you could drop markers anywhere, by any means, and the view always remained in place right where you dropped the marker. I'm assuming this is a bug and not an intentional change to the program because it makes most sense to be able to drop a marker where your cursor is and immediately continue from
I've recently come up against a bug I can't seem to fix through various setting changes. When I add a new play marker or delete an existing one, it moves the screen view to the beginning of the audio I'm editing. The playhead remains the same, but this then results in the screen view jumping back and forth every time I add a marker which makes for a very frustrating edit. I've reset to factory settings, and changed things like "return playhead to start position on stop" and various other playback settings, but have got stuck. Any help / support is much appreciated, video file is attached to show the error. ThanksPete
I'm using the latest version of Audition on Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1. Audition will not stop crashing when I use external plugins. I have plenty of RAM and diskspace, but Audition is crashing constantly and it's making me want to get another DAW.
Not sure if anyone else has or had this issue. But my Markers in the marker window are never visible unless I cut a clip. And even then, the second I do any other command they dissapear again. I dont know if this is a simple fix or a bug problem.
Hi!I've got a problem with the sample rate configured in the preferences. First of all:Windows 10 Pro, Audition 2023, sound device: Roland Rubix 24.The hardware preferences are configured with Asio, the Roland Rubix is selected. This setup worked great with Audition CS6. With 2023 I always have to go to hardware preferences and change the sample rate manually to 41.000 to get a correct sound of the file, even if it's in 48.000 hz.I have to do this each time I open Audition, even if at the bottom of this window the option "use machine-specific device defaults" (might be something diferent, his is the traduction of may Spanish version of Audition) is checked or unchecked. In the settings for the Roland Rubix the current sample rate is fixed in 48000 Hz and it's not possible to change it. Ok, again, I never had this issue with CS6, no matter if the files are in 41.000 Hz or 48.000 Hz. In CS6 I can't choose the Sample Rate, it's in 48000 Hz but I can't change it. Anyway, CS6
Some odd behavior since the recent Audition update: After creating a subclip in waveform view, typing its name and pressing Enter, the waveform moves to either the beginning or end of the subclip. Not critical, of course, but the waveform never used to move at all during this process before. Also, my cursor often doesn't change as it used to, when moving from the waveform window to the spectral window. It takes a couple of mouse clicks to get it right. I'm on a 2018 Mac mini, running MacOS 12.6.5 (Monterey).
Recently I recorded and mixed an episode for my podcast. I am using a Mac studio that's up to date and the latest Audition (2023). Everything sounded great, I rendered a wave and an MP3 copy of the final project, and dropped it into Premier Pro to add captions for YouTube. Halfway through editing the video, I stepped away for dinner. I saved the file but did not close the application as I was coming right back. When I returned, the audio quality was completely different, full of static like an old radio recording. I opened the audio file in QuickTime Player and Adobe Audition and it still sounded terrible. I then re-opened the Auditon file where I mixed the multitrack, and it sounded fine. So I mixed the multi-track down again and resaved it as a wave and then an MP3. Everything sounded good in QuickTime, so I replaced the old audio in premiere pro with the new mixdown and once again, the audio returned to terrible. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both progr
Hello there.I have found a bug.Particularly, when i am editing a .wav file into an mp3 meta data editor and i have set all metadata (title, artist, etc) when i am putting it into audition an saving it as mp3 apart from the filename, all other metadata are changing to non greek characters. (questionmarks)i am facing that problem on the last weeks, at the past everything worked without any issue.
Hello, This has been bothering me for quite some time. I did the capture noise print and then noise reduction (process), and my audio still sounds tinny. What else can I do to fix this? I've tried Parametric Equalizer, and it still sounds tinny. I will give you a small sample of one that has already had the Noise Reduction done on it. But it still sounds tinny. What do I do now? I am not a technical person, so if someone can give me the best way and the db that I have to put it under, that will be greatly appreciated.
I wasn't using Audition for several days and when I opened it today to work on my urgent project - out of a suddent it doesn't save the multitrack session - with this error message:The target directory is not writableIt does save however changes to the WAV files which are in the SAME target directory, so it's not an issue with folder permission.I restarted it several times, didn't help.this is a very serious bug - and just when I need to work on an urgent project to a deadline. can someone please help??
Hi, Whenever I place a marker, my waveform jumps all the way back to the start of the audio. Please see screen recording. Version 23.3.0.55 Running macOS Ventura V 13.3.1
Gracias.
After a recording session, I was saving an RX (recording booth ambient sound) file. The file saved, then Adobe Audition just closed. No warning, no crash report/dialog, no prompt to save the other file: a 2 hour directed session. Because we'd done the session in one go, there was no break and no chance to save it earlier. I've checked the cache locations, and the logs, but the file seems to be completely lost. I can see in one of the log files that something 'crashed' at around 16:00 today (April 12) which would coincide with when Audition just closed itself. I know the obvious explanation must be "you closed Audition" but even if I'd done that accidentally, there was no prompt to save the file. I could accept I might have closed it without realising, but I don't think I'd also dismiss a "Do you want to save...?" prompt without realising too! Does this ring any bells or make any sense?
hi! i am trying to open adobe Audition + adobe premiere but both of them not even open with me. would you please how to fix it?
Hi, Reported several errors today, but wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue. Load up mp4 = error. If it does load, go to action or even just click on wave form = errorRe-installed and reboot, still = errorTried different files = error I have the DMP files, but won't allow me to attach 😄 Thanks for any support.
Hi, I have audition build 23.3.0.55 I am experiencing a problem with the waveform in audition lagging the recording by a second or so in single track audio recording. It has been very annoying because when adding to track you have to make allowance for the lag by waiting the second or so. It also plays the sound a second or so in advance of the waveform marker. I played around with the latency settings and although the lag changes, it doesn't fix it. Changed drivers and no success. If I use the internal computer microphone the lag is gone. So I assumed something with the yeti driver. It wasn't doing it previously so I rolled back the audition version, but it still had the lag.The weird fix that I came across by luck in my seeking a solution, was. When I open audition sound hardware settings and open the microphone settings. If I leave the microphone setting dialogue box open and close settings in audition, the lag in waveform disappears when recording. The only problem is ran
Hello team.I have a bug with most VST3 plugins that use "Glitch" (or "Shred" in "Vocal Synth 2").I hear the effect perfectly in preview, but when applying it to my audio track, it does not apply. All the other settings work perfectly, but each time a pluggin has this function it's the same thing.I have the problem with the VST3 of Izotope "Vocal Synth 2", but also "Glitch 2" or "Portal".I tried these VST3 in Audacity, I don't have this problem. It's really specific to Adobe Audition.Do you know where it could come from?Thank you in advance for your precious help 🙂 PS: I made a video capture so that you can better understand
I'm having frequent unpredictable crashes in audition. Quite often when this occurs Audition has generated no backup despite my settings showing that it should generate a backup every 3 minutes. What were you doing when it crashed?Every time this occurs I am editing a multi-track session. I have usually just moved an item or made a cut with the razor tool. What have you done since you last launched the application?I often close Audition in between sessions and before beginning a new task. So the last time I launched Audition I edited until it crashed. If it crashes with a plug-in or a file, supply information about the plug-in or file.N/AHas anyone else experienced the crash? Anyone else on the forums, or perhaps a friend that also owns Audition?I have spoken to my team of editors and no one can replicate the same issue I am having. Was there an error message? Post a screenshot. The screen always shows the generic "audition has crashed screen" and asks me to submit a bug report
