The program crashes every time I start editing the audio files. I am asked to restart the program, but the result is always the same. For months, I have not been able to move forward in my work.The erreur message is: Adobe Audition 1.5 has stopped working. What should I do?

Hello.I recently encountered this error - I have no idea what could be causing it as the 2TB hard drive i'm writing this to has 1TB left in storage. It's a normal solid state drive, freshly partitioned. Every time I open Audition 2025, the panels in my workspace resize. I have to then reset them to the appropriate size I work with each time I open the program. Then when I close and re-open the program, I have to repeat the process all over. Audition Version: 25.0.0.47Platform/OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit

I am able to remove any other audio file but I am unable to remove this one. The blank space is present while listening to it so I cant ignore it. 

 I generally edit with Audition windowed on my external monitor and not on my laptop screen. Didn't have any trouble when I last used it, but now if I am editing on my external monitor, I am unable to drag and drop files from the files window into batch process or match loudness.If I move the Audition window back to my laptop screen, I can drag and drop with no issue. I tried it on other monitors and it also didn't work. I am able to drag and drop other files into other programs windowed on the external monitor. I can drag and drop files from Explorer and into the Files window while it's on the ext monitor.Can you help?   This is for Audition v25.0.0.47Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHzInstalled RAM 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)Edition Windows 11 ProVersion 24H2Installed on ‎12/‎17/‎2024OS build 26100.3037Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.48.0

Playback at the point of adjoined clips is inconsistent. Sometimes it plays back as it should (in my case, gapless/seamless audio), oftentimes it plays back with a brief gap between the edit.MacOS 14.7.2 (23H311) / Audition 2025

I just got a new computer and downloaded the latest version of audition. I had to uninstall and reinstall before it would open the first time. Now I have to completely restart my computer every time I want to open audition because otherwise it won't start.

Just started having an issue with Audtion 2025 (25.0.0.47) where when I create a new multi-track project (nothing else open), I get a spinning beach ball for a minute or two before it eventually opens as normal. Saving the empty project file takes a literal 60 seconds. There is also a 10-20 second pause when hitting record. This is on a Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.7.2 with 32 gb ram and using a Focusrite Scarlett 18|20 interface.

For version 24.6.3.2 of Audition I sent an 80 minute stereo render to match loudness and at two places there wew split second dropouts, around 19 and 33 minutes in. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason.  If Adobe support wants the input and output files and the settings, I can provide a google drive link so you can test reproducibility.   

I am playing a 8 tracks interleaved audiofile from the sound editor ,but only tracks 1 to 6 are playing, even if the audio output mapping seems correct and continuous (all software outputs are regularely mapped on physical outputs). The tracks 7 and 8 are not routed to the RME Fireface audio interface 7 and 8 but 10[Lsd] and 11[Rsd].R.C.

Has anyone else had a problem where Audition will only open the first few seconds of a file? I have an audio file that's around an hour long, and it will open and play fully in other programs so I'm fairly certain it isn't a problem with the file, however Adobe Audition will only open the first 9 seconds. Is there a simple fix that someone has come across or is this something that only I'm running into. Any answer is appreciated. I've tried it in Audition 24 and 25 using Windows. 

Hi, Not a biggy, but for some reason, thre multitrack session templates keep disappearing from Audition.  I've gotten into the habit of using these and not having them is disrupting my workflow.    If I complete unistall Audition (including plists) and reinstall, they reapear, but then diapper again a number of weeks after.   If I reser the app (reopen with shift held down), the templates do not return. Any ideas?

I have Audition 2023. It jerks when I try to play any file. It records a few seconds and stops. I noticed that when I open ProTools then Audition, all these problems stop and Audition functions just fine. What could the issue be? I use M-Audio air 192/14 interface. I have reinstalled the drivers a number of times. Has anyone else faced this issue and what's the remedy? 

I have had this issue for over a year now with Audition and I don't know what to do anymore. I've done complete reinstalls of Windows and Adobe and it persists. I've reset settings, turned off hardware acceleration, etc. No matter what, I keep having issues where most of the time effect windows will not load properly. Presets and preset stacks work, but I can't edit them. I'm at my wits end on searching and trying to figure it out...has anyone had this issue or know the fix? 

I've been using CC without too many issues for a couple years. Then today, my recording sounded like this! (Attached.) It had been working fine, until it didn't. I changed no settings or anything. I don't have the technichal vocabulary to desribe what is "happening" to this sound file, so any suggestions would be appreciated!Note: I've rebooted my PC three times, tried it with no other browsers or programs running, and that didn't help.  Hi. I used Auditon a lot recently but today it suddendly stopped starting up. The program just freezes upon start up with this screen. I tried to roll back to the previous version - same problem. My realtek audio chipset is onboard sitting on a ROG STRIX X570-E GAMINGAppreciate helpful comments! 

Hi friends, and hopefully developers... for me, saving an audio file as an M4A always introduces a tiny split-second of silence at the end. (You have to close the file and re-open to discover the silence.) While this probably isn't a problem for 99% of users, that silence causes issues on my end because I create M4As that are looping audios. The silence is no bueno for this task. I've had to go to a different platform for this final task of my work. I'd much rather stay in Audition. A fix would be appreciated. I’m having a little bit of trouble with Adobe Audition, for some reason its not finding all the session files. Here’s some context. I’m working on a film where all the audio has been done inside premiere. I imported the premiere project file into audition to do a 5.1 mix and everything is good. I can access the project file from a different computer over the network and it finds the files every time. However when I copy the entire project over to a SSD to work on it on the go there are select video and audio files audition cannot find and its making me link hundreds of files individually in a very inconvenient way compared to how premiere does it. The premiere project file that is linked to the session can find all the files fine, the file structure hasn’t changed to when I copied it over to the SSD and I just don’t know why this is happening. The picture is what I get when I open the file up on the ssd.

Running Windows 11, Audition build 23.6.1.3I can capture a Noise Print just fine.  But I can't see the Noise Reduction (process) window. It's nowhere to be found. I've restarted, rebooted, and reinstalled, but it simply doesn't work.Do I need to wipe all of my user preferences and start completely from scratch?  I hope not, cuz I have a lot of customization I've done to the workspace, addons, etc.Any help is much appreciated. 

I have been continusely getting this same error message and now I have lost over 20 mins of recorded audio. The file visually appears to be there but the audio has gone! I did not save over the audio I simply closed the program and re started when I open it up and try and play the file there is nothing. An entire days work is now gone. 

Hi team,  I really don't know what happened this afternoon, but I spent the afternoon editing, exporting and going about my business. When I was sharing the files I'd edited, I was getting messages back from people to say the files wouldn't play. Audition didn't crash, or show any warnings.  The .sesx file and the mp3 files that I exported are all absoutely unreadable. I've tried repairing them with all the usual services and they seem to be absolute toast. Trying to open them on Audition returns a 'dat?' error. Wechselt man den Eingang von Stereo auf Mono erlischt bei aktivierter Rekordspur die Pegelanzeigen. Man muss Rekord deaktivieren und erneut aktivieren um den Pegel sehen zu können. Dasselbe Verhalten ist nach einem Programmneustart zu beobachten. Ich hatte ursprünglich das Problem der Mikrofonfreigabe vom Mac welches durch den Support gelöst wurde. Da wurde auch kein Pegel angezeigt. In dem Fall war aber tatsächlich kein Pegel vorhanden, da der Mac das Mikrosignal nicht an Adobe weitergereicht hat (vom Scarlett Interface) Jetzt ist es nur noch eine Darstellungssache. Wenn man es weiß, kein Problem. Aber das lässt sich bestimmt beheben.

When I record a podcast on Audition for Mac OS 15.1.1, after about twenty minutes, a clicking noise starts to appear on the audio track. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I’m using professional microphones and a mixing desk. I didn’t have this issue before. I haven’t changed anything in my setup except possibly the update to my Mac.THANKS a lot. J.

Bonjour, Je viens ici pour demander de l'aide en espérant enfin trouver une solution à mon problème. Voilà, depuis la mise à jour de Audition 2020 et dans toutes les versions ultérieures, je ne peux plus utiliser les effets internes. Actuellement j'utilise la version 2025 d'Audition. Quelques soit l'effet que j'essaie de charger un effet, j'ai systématiquement le message suivant qui s'affiche : La préconfiguration "nom de l'effet" n'a pas été chargée correctement. Dans la capture ci-joint vous pouvez voir que j'ai essayé d'appliquer l'effet "Enhance lows". En revanche, quand j'utilsie la version 2019 de Audition, tout va bien, ça fonctionne. Je précise que je n'ai aucun souci avec les effets externes comme ceux de ma carte Universal Audio sur les versions ultérieures à 2019.Sur le net, je ne trouve personne qui en parle, donc aucune piste pour trouver d'où vient le problème. J'utilise un mac rétina 4K de 2017 sous Ventura 13.7.1 Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée ?

Track 1, Track 2 and Track 3, Bus 1, Bus2, Bus 3.On each track there is an instance of Izotope Neutron 4 Compressor in FX slot 1.Bus 1 Send 1 is routed to Side-Chain>Neutron 4 Compressor (Track 1 - Slot 1)Bus 2 Send 1 is routed to Side-Chain>Neutron 4 Compressor (Track 2 - Slot 1)Bus 3 Send 1 is routed to Side-Chain>Neutron 4 Compressor (Track 3 - Slot 1) Track 1 Send 1 is routed to Bus 2Track 1 Send 2 is routed to Bus 3 Now when I try to Route Track 2 Send 1 to Bus 1, the only option available is Bus 3, I can't send to Bus 1, and if I send to Bus 3 from Track 2 I can't send to any bus from Track 3. So Bus 3 is now getting audio from Tracks 1 & 2 and sending that audio to the side-chain input of the compressor on Track 3, as expected, but the other busses are only getting one input each.
