Illustrator (Beta) installs and launches once, but after a system restart or letting the machine sit overnight, it stops opening. The app hangs at the very start of launch and never reaches the UI. A clean reinstall fixes it only for one session. When I want to select from a text just a part, it dosen't allow me, in Illustrator beta. In normal Adobe AI is ok.

Bonjour, J'ai un bogue avec le curseur de l'outil texte. Celui-ce ne se place pas là où je clique mais en début de texte. J'ai essayé différents réglages qui ne changent rien.Idem pour les selections de textes, il selectionne plus que ce que je surligne.Merci

Erro ao selecionar o texto com o mouse. Apenas é possível selecionar o texto através do teclado.

Problema al selecionar el texto no me permite seleccionar un aparte del texto me seleciono 2x3 lineas a la vez, es imposible selecionarlo con el mouse, solo permite con las flechas del techado pero es un proceso lento y no debe ser asi 

Buenas tardes,intento seleccionar parabras sueltas o frases de mitad del texto y hace una seleccion de parrafo desde el inicio o final. 

Impossible to highlight a separate letter in text, Illustrator Beta ends up highlighting the whole word or row. Additionaly when clicking on certain spot in a text frame the cursor doesn't appear there, but automatically in the beginning of the text frame.

When I do image trace the screen around the item goes black and it says it goes off the artboard. This is on the beta.

I am in fashion and fill vectored shirt silhouettes with repeat swatches. I noticed today that if I select my filled vector shape and copy/paste to a new file, the direction of the pattern rotates in several of the filled sections in the new file.Also, I noted that when using the eyedropper, I cannot shift+eyedropper and collect the color from a filled section. It only shows as white. I have to pull the swatch out of the swatches window and collect the color from the original swatch. I was able to collect color before from a filled section with shift+eyedropper.

There does not seem to be a way to remove the generative ai status from a generated object when completed with adjustments thrtough the use of the turntable function. The system slows down substantially when working with generative features and it would be optimal to be able to keep all of the work as is but not be editable in generative ai when complete. 

I have noticed shutting down Ai Beta is taking a very long time. Sometimes a have to force a shutdown. Windows Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200

In a window opened by creating a new document at startup, rulers do not render except when actively dragging/moving the window (which makes the window contents go haywire as well). As soon as the window is released, whether re-docked or left floating, rulers stop rendering again and the window contents come back. Opening a second window, rulers appear as expected, but the first window remains bugged. Lots of redraw artifacts occuring in white space where rulers are supposed to be, too. Doesn't matter if I switch to Global rulers or leave them as Artboard rulers. Outcome is the same. I tried enabling and disabling options in Performance settings. No discernable change.

There's an issue when selecting text.

In the latest version of Illustrator Beta, creating an Area Type object creates the following problems:You cannot use the mouse to position the insertion point within the text. You can only select the beginning of a line, not within the line.You cannot double-click a word to select, nor triple-click a sentence to select. It always starts selection at character 0.When inserting characters from the Character Panel, no matter where your insertion point is positioned, it inserts the characters at the beginning of the Area Type object, not at your insertion point. Cutting or copying text, then trying to paste, does not work. Cutting works, but not pasting.When multiple elements are selected, including an Area Type object, resizing the Area Type object should only affect the Area Type's defined boundary, unless grouped. When grouped, all grouped elements should be resized. When selected as one of multiple items, it should retain its resize/reflow without affecting the rest of the select

Ich habe es gestern aktualisiert, heute habe ich es für die Arbeit an Visitenkarten geöffnet, ich kann nicht einmal einen Text schreiben, das Programm hängt sich ständig auf, ich bin wirklich genervt, ich kann keine Schriftart auswählen, es will ständig KI aktivieren, ich habe nur 8 cm der Visitenkartenarbeit in 2 Stunden fertigstellen können, ich musste es ständig schließen und neu öffnen, in Photoshop habe ich schneller gearbeitet. Was auch immer Sie gemacht haben, das Programm hängt sich auf.

Type cursor defaults to bottom of area text. cant select particular part of text by clicking on it.

When I want to change the size adjustment of rotated text boxes (90° counter clockwise) from manual to automatic, the right adjustment handle changes the hight and the bottom one the width - They are flipped. I added a video, as requested.Step by step:creating a text boxrotating the text boxchanging it to "area text"resizing the boxdouble click the bottom indicator BUT instead of adjusting the hight, it adjusts the width.

I paste text into a premade textbox in a template, and then cannot place my cursor in the desired spot in the text. The cursor stayed at the end of the box and began highlighting all the text instead of moving to the desired place I clicked. I wanted to delete the spaces at the beginning of the rows but could nto due to this bug. The issue does not occur in Illustrator 2026 30.0, only in Beta 30.2 45.

(Beta Illustrator 30.2 45 (64 bit) on (Windows 11 Pro). The text box, copied from InDesign (and also from new text), is difficult to select in its entirety, especially with a mouse selection. In practice, it is only partially selected, as if the style and formatting attributes were partially bugged. I tried the same file on Illustrator Release (30.1), but it works perfectly there.

After update to 30.2 45 version of the Illustrator Beta, I have not been able to select the desired text properly using trackpad or mouse. The selection doesn't start from where I point the mouse, it starts selecting from elsewhere. This happens in both Area Type and Point Type text. I operate on Tahoe 26.1 Mac OS. 

cannot click on text anywhere I want and edit from there; I must find the end of the line, then move the cursor over to where I want to edit text. 

Issue: I cannot see the option to install previous versions of Illustrator Beta in the Creative Cloud desktop app. This feature works fine for Photoshop Beta, but is missing for Illustrator.Why this is critical: I am currently experiencing the known "Text selection offset" bug (cursor jumps away from click location) in v30.2. Because of the missing rollback option, I am stuck on this version and cannot downgrade to a usable state.Windows 11 v 25H2
