In the cc2015 versions of Photoshop the Healing Brush behaves differently than older versions did when I use "shift-click" to connect points. In PS CS6, for example, when I hold down the shift key, the tool clones in (or heals) continuously from point to point as I click. In the last two versions of Photoshop, this has changed: a click, then shift-click to a new location results in a "line", but this does not continue to the next point clicked, even when holding the shift key down continuously. Instead, the new point is treated as the beginning of a second "line" of healing/painting. I hope this makes sense - it's surprisingly complicated to describe such a simple thing. But the effect is really disconcerting - if I'm healing along a surface, I can no longer get a continuous "heal" along a curve, for example. The Brush & Clone Stamp tools don't show this at all - they behave as expected, connecting clicked points continuously until the shift key is released. I can't find any prefer
I give up trying to use it. PLEASE give back Refine Edge!!
I use Photoshop CC 2015 on a 24′′ display connected to my 13′′ Macbook Pro. The new Export window opens on the 13′′ screen, massively outside the screen, impossible to move or resize : the only button I can reach is “Cancel”...
Dragging a selected image layer from the "LAYERS" panel to the tab of an unselected image and holding it over the tab does not result in that 2nd layer popping open so the first image layer can be dropped into it. Apparently this problem occurs for some people and not others and can even be intermittent based on much time researching it trying to find a solution. In my case, my girlfriend and I have two new MacBook pros, running two brand new PS installs, same OS on both and after days of trying can't EVER do it. However it's demonstrated on Julieanne Kost's new Lynda.com course so it CAN be done. People on the forum asking about the same thing are getting responses from people who can do it too (we just did as well). The problem has apparently been going on for years. PLEASE FINALLY TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!!
I have the latest version of Photoshop CC 2017.1.1 installed on the Win 7 Pro, 64 bit OS. I have the proper check boxes ticked in Preferences to enable the new Start Screen and the Recent Files Panel. The Start Screen comes up and functions as expected. When I select File>>Open, however, the normal OS file explorer opens instead of the expected Recent Files panel. Today was the first time I've seen this behavior, it did work initially when first activated a week or so ago. I deleted and recreated my PS profile but that made no difference. I discussed this with an Adobe technician today and after some research he claimed it is an issue for some people with the latest PS release. I did some internet research but could not find any reports of such behavior which seemed odd given what he told me. Is anyone else seeing similar behavior? Other than this anomaly, PS seems to be working as expected in all other respects. Any and all thoughts appreciated.
Photoshop 2017.1.1: When you paste a sentence with a return in the text of a layer, it looks like this. (macOS 10.12.5).
My coworker and I ran the new 18.0.1 update on our computers yesterday. Both updates appeared to have been successful and we proceeded to process images over the next hour. We both at the same time started getting scratch disc errors. We proceeded to delete out all our temp files. This did not fix the problem. We decided to take a closer look at our C: Drive. It appeared full. This was weird as we both had around 300GB available earlier that day. We ran a defrag just to be sure it wasn't a windows problem (We are running Windows 7.) This cleared up the 300GB. However once we started retouching images again the Drive would rapidly lose space again. in one photo save my coworker lost 20GB. My coworker lost 300GB in an hour and I lost 250 GB in the same hour. We have reverted our versions of photoshop back to the previous version and this seems to have fixed the problem. However we would really appreciate if someone could look into and fix this issue in the next update.
Example: If you're using a color overlay to change a highlighted state with that effect tied to the layer comp, opening the PSD fresh results in the color overlays not being what was set in the layer comp.
Like the title says. Smart objects render badly (with jags) when being scaled or transformed. There are stair-like jags on the edges and text looks like crackled.
Hello I have trouble exporting artboard containing smart objects The quality of the export when resizing at export is very bad If I flatten the layers inside the artboard everyting goes perfectly well
Running latest version of Photoshop CC 2017, I get major bad lag with zooming and with brushes when a layer that has been converted to a smart object is visible. If I turn off the layers, the brush is buttery smooth again. Efficiency indicator will drop during this lagg. PC: 256GB SSD (photoshop installed here) - 6600k - 16gb RAM 3000 mhz - GTX 1070.
If I have a file open in Photoshop CC 2017, and I open a new blank document, the new document loads beneath the current open document windows. This messes up my workflow, because I'm often creating a new document to use immediately. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Or is this behaviour intentional for some reason I don't understand?
Photoshop CC 2017: I have the same issue with type tool. Some font are working normal for example: Adobe Caslon. When I use some other fonts like Futura from TypeKit or Museo Sans and most fonts from TypeKit or default, making the type tool unusable. Like choking the photoshop. Its hard to select some phrases, change formatting and other stuff. After choose some options, every changes take about couple of seconds, sometimes wheel is spinning...I'm working on Mac Pro Tower 2012. 6 cores 3,33ghz, 48GB RAM, ATI Radeon 5770. SSD drives for system, for scratch disk and other ssd for storage. OS X Yosemite.Of course before CC 2017 everything was working fine.I have made such as things as:1. Disable Font Preview - Nothing change2. Reset tools - Nothing change3. Check Book fonts and erase fonts with warnings - Nothing change4. Reset Photoshop settings - Nothing change5. Disable GPU - Nothing change6. Clear cache - nothing changeI thinking about moving to the old version of Photoshop.
Photoshop CC 2015: I'm not sure how to explain this articulately, but bear with me:I always have my (L) tool set to polygonal lasso, always my (C) tool set to slice selector. I press L or C, or whatever tool shortcut, and I get my last-used tool out of that variety (e.g. C = 1. Crop Tool, 2. Perspective crop tool, 3. Slice tool, 4. Slice select tool)Since the last update, whenever I'm using a different tool and then press L/C on my keyboard, it will select the default (first in the line of) tool, instead of the one I was last using, so L selects the freehand lasso, or C selects the crop tool, meaning I have to manually select/shift+L to get back around to the tool I wanted.Has the latest update removed the 'last-used' functionality? Is there any way to get around this? Thanks.
On the release of the latest Photoshop CC 2015.5, All of my actions have stopped functioning due to the fact that the [Make] code no longer runs through processing. The [Make] code is recorded in the Actions Panel when you select the command of File/New and OK the Panel, and it will make and create a new document in the Build Area. I have relied on this code since Photoshop CS5 and it has always functioned correctly for me until the last release on 6-20-2016. It is a major disappointment. I know that Adobe doesn't know about this problem or they would never have done it, so I am making you aware. What happens is that every time the Action Panel runs past the code of [Make] it quits the action processing and opens the New Panel, and this should not happen, the action should run through and after processing a new document should be open ready without any quits. The value of this code is major and it should be a top priority fix on any new updates. The basic default code of the Actions Pa
Hello! When recording actions in the past, I can click, drag and delete a Path and the action is recorded in a single step. For example, the action would read "Delete path 'Path 1'."I've recently noticed that now when I try to record the same process, two steps are recorded: "Select 'Path 1'" and then "Delete current path." Seems minor, right? This can lead to a problem if you have no 'Path 1' in your document. If you already have any other path selected, this two-step process will delete the other path you have selected! This affects me when I want to clean up a bunch unneeded paths in a series of documents before I send finals to the client. My files usually have paths named a certain way, but not every file has every path. When select-and-delete a path was in one step and the target path is not present in a document, Photoshop produces an error, but no other paths are affected. With it in two steps there is the potential that a path I want to keep would get deleted. I have to remember
Bug Report: Layer Stack bug in Photoshop 2015.5 Mac OS X Yosemite. - After opening layer in a stack trying to reverse the order of the layers using Layer > Arrange > Reverse - the following message is displayed - 'Could not complete the Reverse command because of a program error'
When using the new GUI in Photoshop 2017 for creating a new document in Photoshop, script events that are setup to trigger on 'New Document' do not fire and so they fail to run.Reverting to the old 'Legacy' New Document GUI fixes the problem straight away. This is pretty bad as we rely on script events to trigger on 'New Document' to setup layers automatically. This should function for both old & new GUI's regardless. Can this be fixed up please as I like the new GUI with its quick shortcuts to recent document sizes and standard photo/paper sizes.Thanks.
After Photoshop CC 2017 Nik Dfine2 hangs on MacOS. Sierra. this appears on 2 different machines. Uninstalled NIK tools and reinstalled it.. but no change .. Anyone ?Cheers KeesNote: This conversation was created from a reply on: Problems with 2017.1.
I have recently installed Photoshop CC 2017.1 on a brand new computer.Everything seems to be working fine until I try to close Photoshop at the end of a session.I get the message "save changes to the Adobe Photoshop document "" before quitting"I tried to save the non existant document and now get a message telling me that the document is being saved in the background, Photoshop will quit after saving has completed. This seems to take forever to complete.I tried creating a new file 100px X100px and tried to save it and now see theAdobe Photoshop CC 2017 has stopped working message.Upon restarting Photoshop it seems to work as expected and closed down properly. This is the third time today I have had this problem so it seems like time to see if anyone can offer some help
what's more annoying is that if you set it to loop "Forever", then change the resolution, it will revert back to "Once"! at least change that...Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Photoshop: GIF looping options doesn't "stick" in CS6 Extended?.
The best description is the video.Artifacts appear when level curve (active or disactive there no difference) clipped to the folder
Hi, I've found a bug in CC when setting opacity across multiple selected groups. Previously, selecting multiple groups and pressing numpad 5 gave all groups an opacity of 50%, whilst respecting the individual opacity setting of child elements. Doing the same in CC results in the expected behaviour on the first group (lowest in layer stack), but also sets opacity of child elements to 50% (or whatever was entered). Cheers!
Photoshop 2017.0.1: Can you please revert (or tell me a way I can manually revert) the default Properties back to Masks when working on a layer that is masked? Ugh. Normally I'd ask why but I'm not even going to anymore. Only asking if you'll fix it or tell me how I can fix it. Again, changing something that didn't need to be. With an ever-growing list, here's one more thing that will causes dozens upon dozens of extra clicks.PS 2015:Default for masks is...that's right, Masks! Good job, 2015!PS 2017:Default for masks is...no 2017, not Pixel Layer Properties. Go sit in the corner.
Photoshop (CC 2015.5.1) frequently switches into "right to left" text mode. It seems random; Photoshop has "Default Features" in the Type > Language Options menu checked on.I am able to switch back to "left to right" mode by checking on "Middle Eastern Features", and clicking on the "left to right" button in the Paragraph dialog. I then switch back to "Default Features". But after some time, Photoshop will go back into "right to left" text mode, and I would have to repeat the process above to correct it.Is anyone else experiencing this, or has experienced and know of a way to make it stay in "left to right" mode permanently? This bug is very annoying and I hope it can be looked into. Thanks!
