When using the Photoshop CC 2015 select tool it creates smaller squares around the edge of the selection, then when you move the selection box it copies itself hundreds of times much in the way windows XP would when it crashed you dragged the window around. Additionally could anyone let me know how to download a previous version of the software as I need to regain some after effects plugin functionality. I am using a GTX 760 on windows 8.1, playing with the GPU settings in the preferences had now effect. Thank you

Since downloading Photoshop 2014 yesterday, I've noticed a variety of issues that make the program almost unable to use. 1) Selection issues. All selection tools *seem* to work normally until I attempt to use the new focus-range selection tool. After doing so, any selection tool I use (lasso, rectangular marquee, etc) result in me getting selections such as these: They consistently show up as selected rectangles of various sizes, spread out throughout the canvas. Any additional selections made from this point only amplify the errors. 2) Also possibly caused by the same tool, I started to develop other issues like layers disappearing from the canvas, despite being visible in the layer panel and visible glitches/artifacts on the screen when opening separate windows (such as the save window). The Cmd selection inside the Layers panel of the latest update of Photoshop is totally messed up and is consuming more time against the older version of photoshop. How can I downgrade the updates to the old version. This application issue and the time it is wasting of mine won't make the cut

Yesterday I updated to the new Adobe Cloud CC 2015 version. After that Photoshop and Illustrator 'have stopped working' when i load them up. Windows Version 8.1 Latest patches and updates. Graphics card AMD Radeon 295x2. Updated last version. No crash log, only windows event log. I have already contacted the indian support guys, but they were not that helpfull and just plain rude but I will make a written complaint for that also. They made me create a new 'admin' user on my system and all should work, well thats just a bogus solution. This update was issued by Adobe and this has nothing to do with userdata. I cant create new users every time software updates, this should be tested by Adobe. I suggest adding a better 'cleaning' tool that also cleans user/roamdata. I uninstalled, used the cleaner tool, cleaned registry , reinstalled still the same bug. Muse , Lightroom CC 2015 all work apart from Photoshop and Illustrator. So please fix this!!

When Alt+Shift dragging a mask from one layer to another in the Layers Palette (be it a pixel mask or a vector mask), the mask is copied from one layer to the other and inverted at the same time. For a long time, I thought this was not working for vector masks, but yesterday I found it indeed is too... but I think it's done in a confusing way, because one can't tell just by looking at the vector mask thumbnail or checking the operation mode of the path components.I mean that while the pixel layer masks are clearly inverted when Alt+Shift dragging (the mask thumbnail is inverted), the vector layer masks thumbnails aren't - I mean, they really do work the opposite of the original, but the copied-inverted version displays the same mask thumbnail as the original not inverted one, and the path component keep showing the same operation mode as the original if inspected with the Path selection tool. I just installed 13.0.5 update. I'm having trouble using scrubby input to adjust leading. The leading will snap to a different number after release from scrubby input. This occurs after scaling text layer. To reproduce: create new file 1000 x 1000 @ 72PPI Type in two lines of text at 72 pt. Go Edit >Transform>Scale and scale text either up or down, commit transform. Select the two lines of text and use scrubby to input leading value. after release of scrubby the leading value jumps to unexpected numbers. I thought this got fixed at some point? I guess not.

Photoshop CC 2015.1.1 - Why am I now unable to drag images from Illustrator directly into Photoshop as a smart object. I thought this would be resolved with yesterday's update but apparently not. 😞 I know I can add them to my library. I know I can copy and paste. Please don't ask me to do either of them. I want to know when this will be fixed or if it's a permanent 'improvement' by Adobe. I have raised it in the Adobe forums but no luck yet.

If Photoshop 2015.1 is closed, and I open it by right clicking (Windows 7) an image and choosing Open with Photoshop, it opens in the Start workspace with no panels. The only way I can get back to my normal workspace is via the workspace drop down menu. There is no benefit from the Start Screen in this situation. It is just an interruption to workflow.

Photoshop CC 2014 - The liquify filter fails to load the first time you try and open it, and if you open manually the second time it opens but you get the previous mesh instead of a clean one. The issue happens when you invoke Liquify from a script or from an action.

Photoshop CS6: While the "Preferences" - "Interface" - "Open Documents as Tabs" are not selected, then some commands in the Actions do not work properly! For example: Copy and paste layer from another document (file) recorded as Action. Please help me! I cannot stand the tabbed interface! Simple issue: you create a vector shape, and then another one in the same layer, and you want to subtract the latter from the first. There's a "mouse" way to do it (on the "Path operations" button on the top), and there used to be a "keyboard" way to do it, with the +/- keys on the numpad. I used it all the time, it was very handy. Since Photoshop CC 2015, it doesn't exist anymore, and it's very annoying. Please, Adobe, put it back! Thanks!

Plain and simple, there are overlapping shortcuts in the Liquify filter window. The shortcut for the Smooth Tool is the E key, however once you press the ALT key inside the Liquify window, that shortcut will no longer work, it will instead toggle the Show Mesh checkbox. Restarting the Liquify window or even Photoshop doesn't seem to help. The other pair of overlapping shortcuts is for the U key, which will toggle the Show Guides checkbox if you haven't made any changes to the Liquify mesh, or it will press the Reconstruct button if you did. This is in the Windows version of Photoshop CC 2015.1.1, it was also there in CC 2015.0.1

After the Photoshop CC 2015.1 update, the canvas area on PS, AI e ID flickers as soon as program is opened. Flickering prevents use of menus, which also flicker. OS is Windows 10, graphics board is NVidia GTX980 w/ latest driver. Reverting to earlier versions of PS, AI e ID solve the problem.

With the release of CC 2015.1, in Mac only, the dropdown menu width will auto expand past the set width to the width of largest menu item. Prior to CC 2015.1, the dropdown menu would stay at the defined width. The dropdown items would expand when clicking the dropdown menu. However, the dropdown menu itself would not expand. To test whether it was my scripts only, I added action sets and actions with long names and then opened Image Processor. This issue can be seen on the Image Processor Script too. The action sets with a long name will expand the action set dropdown menu width. However, after selecting an action set, when the action dropdown menu populates, it will not expand the width of the dropdown menu. Therefore, it appears that the menu items will not affect the width of the dropdown after the UI window is created. As a work around, I put the menu items I needed for my scripts into an array. Then, I looped through the array during the window.onShow function. This fixes the issu

Since a while now, it is impossible for me to select multiple Shape layers within the Layers panel with my tablet, pressing the Cmd Key when I am using my Intuos Pro. Everything works great with a mouse or a trackpad. My Wacom drivers are updated, I am using the last version of Photoshop on OSX 10.11.2 I have no clue what's happening as it only concerns Shape layers !!

Photoshop CC 2015: "select all layers" no longer records when building an action. Copying a select all layers step from a previous action works in playback as a temporary fix. Please acknowledge if this bug has been received. Thanks!

So this new bug has appeared after the latest update (which thankfully fixed a few previous ones). So we all know and got used to having an object from, say, clipboard (raster or vector, doesn't matter) pasted into the center of the 'viewport'. That is when I paste something onto the canvas, it's being put right into the middle of the screen. But when working with the artboards the objects are placed in the middle of the artboard (center-center) which is inconsistent and unintuitive. Is this how it was intended to be?

Within the COM bindings of Photoshop CC 2015 for Windows, the object TextItem has the property "HangingPuntuation", this should be "HangingPunctuation" instead (note the additional "c"), in accordance with the scripting documentation, previous versions of Photoshop and the rules of English spelling. As a consequence, attempts to read/write TextItem.HangingPunctuation in VBA or textItem.hangingPunctuation in Javascript fail.

I'm working on my external (non-Retina) monitor, with my Retina MacBook as a secondary screen next to it. Not uncommon, I believe. When I open a document Photoshop displays it at Retina-size (i.e 50%) for a split-second before zooming in to 100%. It keeps the window size at 50% though. Since this can get a little annoying Photoshop should adjust the window size to show the full document instead. (This happens with "Zoom Resizes Window" turned On and Off, as far as I can tell.)

I have a problem with the 'fit image' via file automate which seems to be a bug as you can reproduce this with any image: Take a file e.g.. 5758x3728 pixels width/heigh. Go via 'file - Automate -> fit image Give e.g.. pixelssize 6000x6000 + tick Do NOT enlarge. The image still enlarges the file to 6000 pixels. Even though I have selected do NOT enlarge. This happens with every image I try and which should NOT be enlarged.

I just purchased a Eizo monitor with 10 bit support and I am experiencing some really annoying "chroma banding". System details: - Windows 10 64 bit. - PS CC 2015.1.1. 10 bit enabled in Performance tab. - FirePro W8100. Driver 15.201.2401.0. 10 bit enabled in Control Center. Steps: - Create 1000x200 Profoto 16 bit canvas. - Create a horizontal gradient from pure black (left) to pure white (right). On the black and gray size (left of the image), there are very noticeable bands with greenish color. If I change the color space to Adobe, the green banding is reduced but still noticeable. The green banding is gone if changed to sRGB color space. If I change Drawing mode to Basic, the green banding is gone, but the 10bit support is also gone; I can see all the grey banding typical on a 8 bit monitor. I have attached a photo of how the three compare. From top to bottom, Profoto, sRGB, Adobe. I had to take a picture because Windows does not allow screen capture on 10 bit! Is there any current

When I double click a layer's name I can edit the layer name. I can copy the layer name, and past it back into the same field. When I press enter, and try to edit the name again it doesn't do anything. I cannot paste it at other layer's names either. The clipboard is loaded with the text, as I can paste it into other applications. I remember this being possible some time ago. I have no idea if there's anything that I've changed.

I have updated CC 2015, both Lightroom and Photoshop. I can open Photoshop and can open a photo. Every time I close out a photo, Photoshop crashes with the message, Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working. It will now close. I can't use the new update;
