SummaryA regression was introduced between Photoshop 27.4 and Photoshop 27.5 affecting Adobe Fonts integration.Starting with Photoshop 27.5, Photoshop permanently displays a fixed set of Adobe Fonts in the font picker, even when those fonts are not synchronized. The issue is isolated to Photoshop and does not occur in Illustrator, InDesign, or other Adobe applications. The regression is still present in the latest Photoshop release (27.8.x) and in Photoshop Beta.EnvironmentOperating SystemWindows 11 (clean installation)Adobe Applications TestedPhotoshop 27.4.x → Works correctly Photoshop 27.5.x → Regression introduced Photoshop 27.8.x → Issue persists Photoshop Beta → Issue persists Illustrator → Works correctly InDesign → Works correctlyCreative Cloud DesktopLatest available versionAdobe FontsEnabled only for manually synchronized fontsExpected BehaviorPhotoshop should display:Locally installed fonts. Hi Adobe Photoshop team,my name is Gianpiero Veronio. I use Photoshop regularly for graphic and cover-art work, and while working on a recent project I noticed a reproducible geometry/rendering issue with the Line Tool.I was able to reproduce the behavior consistently, so I prepared a short report with screenshots and technical notes in case it may be useful to the Photoshop engineering team.Issue summaryWhen a dashed stroke and an arrowhead are used together on a Line shape, the line becomes visibly tilted even though the Transform rotation remains at 0.00°.Steps to reproduceCreate a line as a Shape using the Line Tool. Set the stroke width to 10 px. Apply a dashed stroke. Make sure the line rotation is exactly 0.00°. Enable an arrowhead on the line.Actual resultThe dashed line becomes visibly inclined while the Transform panel still reports 0.00° rotation.Expected resultAdding an arrowhead should affect the arrowhead geometry only. A line at 0.00° rotation should remain horizontal.I
Since version 27.4 and continuing in 27.5 I’ve been experiencing image flickering when using the Curves adjustment. In version 27.4, the issue occurs in all Curves use cases. In 27.5, it appears primarily when applying Curves as a Smart Adjustment on a Smart Object. It is slightly improved, but still noticeable when using Curves as a standard adjustment layer.I’ve attached a video demonstrating the issue: The first example shows Curves applied as a Smart Adjustment on a Smart Object (strong flickering). The second shows a direct adjustment on a non-Smart Object layer (no issue). The third shows a standard adjustment layer (minor flickering still visible). The flickering is clearly visible, especially in the first case. Please look into this issue, as it makes precise adjustments very difficult.Thank you.example video:https://youtu.be/jbe6K-ORr44
The on-device Remove Tool is consistently slower than Cloud Remove on an Apple M1 Pro (32 GB RAM). The slowdown becomes severe when removing multiple small objects such as electrical outlets. SystemMacBook Pro M1 Pro 32 GB RAM macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 Photoshop 27.8.0 Native Apple Silicon GPU acceleration enabledExampleOne outlet: Cloud: ~6 seconds Device: ~15 seconds Eight outlets: Device processing takes several minutes. Even on a blank 2000×2000 document with a simple black rectangle, Device Remove takes around 10-20 seconds.I have already:Reset Photoshop preferences. Reinstalled the AI model. Tested newest Photoshop Beta and rolled back to 27.7- neither affected the issue Verified GPU acceleration is enabled. Confirmed Photoshop is running natively on Apple Silicon.
I am experiencing a consistent issue with Generative Fill in Photoshop 27.8 on my MacBook Pro 13" with Apple M1 (16 GB RAM) running macOS 26.5.1. After launching Photoshop, Generative Fill works correctly for only two or three generations. After that, every new Generative Fill produces severely corrupted results with random black, red, yellow, or blue artifacts. Restarting Photoshop temporarily resolves the issue, but it returns after another few generations. The problem occurs with both empty prompts and text prompts, and it does not depend on the size of the selection. It happens on multiple Canon CR2 RAW files that previously worked without any issues, and the corruption is visible not only in Photoshop but also in exported images. Interestingly, the Remove Tool, which also uses Generative AI, works normally and has never produced this problem.I have already reset Photoshop preferences, reinstalled Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Adobe Bridge, and updated macOS to the latest available ver
Mac Studio M1 Ultra, Tahoe 26.5.1Photoshop 27.9.0 I have been testing the new Harmonize feature a bunch, and all other quirks it has aside, it is near impossible for me to adjust the masks that it produces. I am not sure what is causing this (Gen-AI is my guess..) but I would describe it as an input-lag. If I am trying to manually adjust the mask with the brush tool, I am met with such a delay that I am unable to do anything precise. The Harmonize feature seems to function at a normal speed, it it just customizing the mask that it produces that lags. I would not imagine my hardware matters here since nearly every other Photoshop feature runs pretty quickly and the M1 Ultra chip is still quite powerful.

When editing an adjustment applied to a Smart Object as a Smart Filter, such as Hue/Saturation or Curves, the canvas does not update continuously while dragging a slider or adjustment control.Instead, the Smart Object temporarily displays its original, unfiltered appearance while the mouse button is held down. The adjusted result appears only after the mouse button is released. This makes it difficult to evaluate small or incremental changes because the adjustment can’t be previewed in real time.Steps to reproduceOpen an image in Photoshop. Convert the image layer to a Smart Object. Apply an adjustment through Image > Adjustments, such as Hue/Saturation or Curves. Double-click the adjustment beneath the Smart Object to reopen the Smart Filter controls. Confirm that Preview is enabled. Click and drag one of the adjustment sliders without releasing the mouse button.Expected resultThe canvas should continuously redraw and display the Smart Filter result as the slider or adjustment value
when i click the generative fill button in photoshop, theres an Icon that says "fi" which stands for firefly. ive been able to click that in the past and choose nano banana / gemini 2.5. but this time when i click it, Firefly is the only option and nano banana gemini 2.5 isnt there any more. where did it go? how do i get it back? im on photoshop 2025 version "26.11.6"
After several months of correct operation, the program began to spontaneously close. Photoshop 2026 (versions 27.3.1.4 and others), the application consistently shuts down about 40 seconds after launch. This happens regardless of user activity: opening a document, navigating settings, or staying on the Home Screen. The issue reproduces on different computers with different hardware, with updated GPU drivers and reset Photoshop preferences.Steps to Reproduce: Launch Photoshop 2026 (version 27.3.1.4). Wait approximately 40 seconds. The application closes automatically without warning.Windows Event Viewer Log:Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 27.3.1.4, time stamp: 0x697d544e Faulting module name: Photoshop.exe, version: 27.3.1.4, time stamp: 0x697d544e Exception code: 0xc00000fd Fault offset: 0x000000000102b6eb Faulting process id: 0x3970 Faulting application start time: 0x1DD2653E2BA545D Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2026\Photoshop.
Issue: Photoshop version: 27.3.1 Release OS: Tahoe 26.3 (25D125)Steps to reproduce:Image > Mode > Duotone… Change Type to Monotone Attempt to name Ink 1 anything with the letter “P” in it You will not be able to type the letter “P” because it will instead toggle the “Preview” box in the Duotone Options panel on and off Expected result: Being able to name an Ink color with words that have the letter “P” in themActual result: Typing the letter “P” toggles Preview on / off
I'm experiencing an issue with Photoshop web version. When I opening the Photoshop web version, the interface shows only a white screen with all buttons grayed out and unclickable. Problem persists across different monitors and even when switching to another PC. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you for any info.
I have had a Creative Cloud CC plan for years. This morning when I opened my app and clicked on Photoshop it began to open but then disappeared. I rebooted my computer. I tried every possible fix. I tried the Repair option. Nothing works. Now what do I do?
When I'm working on a large batch of images, after a few images, the pen tool path starts to disappear, especially when I'm zoomed in. Restarting my computer and restarting photoshop doesn't fix the glitch. Not every file as the issue, but once a file has the issue, I can't fix it unless I create a new file and copy and paste the image into it. I started doing work paths on most of the remaining images and waiting until I was completely done to "create new path", but I noticed that when I did "create new path" first, the issue would happen instantly. I can sort of work around it by trying to create a path while zoomed out, but that makes it difficult for me to be accurate when tracing the area I'm trying to isolate. I have a 2022 mac that's up to date, plenty of storage and ram and an m1 chip, so there shouldn't be any issues with the software. I first noticed this issue several years ago, I would say at least 2020.
I use TK9 panel for luminosity masks. On the same M4 Mac PS 26.11.6 works correctly, PS 27.9.1 intermittently fails when I click TK9 “Save a Mask”. The error message is “The command Duplicate is not currently available. I have already reinstalled PS, reset PS preferences, disabled Use Graphics Processor. Could you investigate whether there is a scripting/API change or regression affecting plugin operations involving Duplicate commands or channel creation?
Hi there, I'd like to report a bug, as in subject. This happens only in 25.9 version, I've downgraded to 25.7, and it doesn't happen. When I have a document, with couple of artboards in it (let's say, ad banners) - when I try to move any artboard, and, after clicking on the name, and starting to drag it to move it someplace alse - when I try to pass it over any other artboard, or layer, which is outside the artboards - PS freezes. It happens every time, in every document I've opened.
1. SummaryIn Photoshop 27.9.1, native Spectrum widgets (sp-textarea / sp-textfield) placed inside an ancestor container with overflow: hidden; height: 0 (a common CSS trick used to visually crop/round native widget corners) become completely non-interactive. ❌ Symptom: No cursor, no focus state, no keyboard input, and placeholder text disappears. 🔄 Regression: The exact same markup and CSS worked perfectly in Photoshop 27.8 and prior. 💡 Scope: Only native Spectrum widgets are affected; standard HTML <textarea> / <input> elements continue to work under the same CSS layout. 2. Environment Photoshop Version: 27.9.1 (Broken) vs 27.8 (Working) OS: Windows (Confirmed) Extensibility Platform: UXP Panel Affected Widgets: <sp-textarea>, <sp-textfield> 3. Root Cause AnalysisThe plugin utilizes a .crop wrapper to clip and offset native inputs: CSS .crop { position: relative; width: 100%; overflow: hidden; height: 0; } The child (sp-textarea) is absolutely posi
I’m on Photoshop v27.8.0 and Windows 11. Expanding does not reveal the ‘l’.Screen resolution in my case is 1440p if that could be an issue.
In the Canvas Size dialog, with “Relative to current dimension” checked, the width nor height can be set to 0. This is a big problem if you only want to change one dimension. Also, I will say that it is very annoying that the up and down arrow keys no longer increase and decrease the value by a whole number.
Really annoying bug. I spend 10 minutes going through my list of fonts in Photoshop, clicking the star next to fonts I want to remember as "favorites". Many of these fonts are installed via fonts.adobe.com. But Photoshop keeps turning off the "favorite" star for many (but not all) of my font selections. I think I've figured out the cause: If I start Photoshop shortly after logging in, before the Adobe Creative Cloud magic has had time to activate all my fonts, the fonts that are not yet activated don't exist yet (as far as Photoshop is concerned), and they lose their "favorite" star. Once the star is turned off by this bug, it stays off until I go back into Photoshop (after the fonts have all been loaded) and turn the star back on again.
Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 (Windows) (sorry not 27.2.2 as per title)Steps to reproduce:Open Photoshop. Create a new RGB 8-bit document. Select Image → Adjustments → Brightness/Contrast. Instead of opening the Brightness/Contrast adjustment, Photoshop enters an eyedropper/modal state. Menus become disabled until Esc or Enter is pressed. Repeating the command eventually leaves Photoshop locked in the modal state.Expected behaviour:Brightness/Contrast dialog (or Properties panel) opens.Actual behaviour:Eyedropper/modal state appears, preventing use of the command.
When using the Move tool to reposition/shift a Pattern Fill layer, the on-canvas result is not calculated live. The move is registered internally (the pattern's actual position does change), but the canvas does not visually redraw to reflect it. Toggling the layer's visibility off and back on (hide > unhide) forces Photoshop to redraw and show the correct, updated position.Steps to reproduce:1. Create or open a document with a Pattern Fill layer (Layer > New Fill Layer > Pattern).2. Select the Move tool (V) with the Pattern Fill layer active/targeted.3. Click and drag on the canvas to reposition the pattern.Expected result:The pattern shifts and the canvas updates live, in real time, as it did in Photoshop 2025.Actual result:The canvas does not visually update while/after dragging. The move has actually occurred (confirmed because toggling the layer's visibility off then on forces a redraw that shows the pattern in its new, correct position), but there is no live visual feedba
This is what the gradient style selector looks like when a gradient is applied to a shape layer's stroke. It appears very wide and with options overlapping each other vertically. The same selector for gradients on a shape's fill appears normal. This also appears this way when it's accessed through the control bar when the Shape tool is selected. This is on Photoshop 26.8.0 on Windows. {Thread renamed by moderator}
When I create a droplet in Photoshop 2025, it creates a folder instead of an EXE file. What is the solution?
Steps to reproduce:1. Open Photoshop v27.x on Windows 11.2. Open any image (8-bit PNG/JPG).3. Go to Image > Adjustments > Exposure...4. Move the Exposure slider (for example, +0.5).5. Observe the Gamma Correction slider: it instantly jumps to 0.01 and the preview becomes heavily distorted.Actual result:Gamma Correction resets to 0.01 automatically after moving the Exposure slider, producing a washed-out / broken preview.Expected result:Gamma should remain stable or adjust smoothly; it should not reset to an extreme value.System info:- Photoshop version: 27- OS: Windows 11- GPU: RTX 5070 (12GB)- GPU acceleration: Enabled- Bit depth: 8 bits/channel
