When I opened an old project of a documentary made with Premiere CC2020, the LUTs that were applied on an adjustment layer are sometimes applied and sometimes not. All thoses shots are using the same LUT. This project was initially on another drive, but the entire project folder has been mirrored on the one I'm using. I had to re apply shot by shot the LUT that was sometimes not applied or not correctly apply the LUT.When importing the LUT in the Lumetri Panel in "Creative" than "Look" -> "Browse", sometimes on certain shots the LUT give a complete different look that it should give. Colors have less contrast, shadows are very light (see the video). So when I add a new Lumetri color effect in the panel and import the LUT in question, the LUT is imported correctly and the result is as it should be.Does anyone has an idea how we could open an old file without having to do a part of the grading again and avoid this kind of problem with LUTs?Thank you 🙂
Currently, I am trying to edit a video. All clips are in HD. However, I created a slow-motion scene (from 100% to 30%), and now I am experiencing performance problems. Here are the issues I'm facing:When I press play, the blue bar does not move. When I delete or move a clip in the timeline, it still shows until I click on another clip. When I switch from the normal Workspace to Coloring and back to normal, the Timeline and the Effects panel are missing. I deleted the slow-motion clip, but the problem persists.Steps I have taken:Deleted the clipRestarted the PCCleared the media cache But the problem is still there (only in this project). I am unable to complete the video in this situation. HELP!One more thing to note: when I close Premiere (this project), a window pops up saying "Waiting for Library writing." I haven't seen this before. It looks like a big file, but it isn't. My System:Windows 10 (all latest uptdates)AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - 12-CoreNVIDIA RTX 306032 GB RAMPremier
I downloaded the latest Premier Beta and the "Invert" box cannot be check in the Opacity Masking. Does anyone have a workaround since I have created a bunch of windows that need this in my footage? I have attached a screenshot
Hi,Since the last update, you have to activate the timeline twice (by touching its window) for shortcuts to work. Thanks for your help.
I hit play. While it's playing, I click somewhere else on the timeline to reposition the playhead there. Playback stops, but the playhead only goes where I want it for a moment, then it snaps back to its last played location. Super annoying. It doesn't happen every time, but it can get stuck in this behavior for a while. Mac with Ventura, Premiere 24.3. I'm working in multicam mode here, but I can't tell if that's relevant.
Hello I have the latest Macbook Pro Ultra M3 with 128 Go of RAM. On the last update, each time that I place an audio file in a sequence, it automatically applies a -3dB attenuation to it. Please, the last update is buggy as hell... It becomes impossible to do serious work. Thanks for ypur help.
I've been having this bug since Premiere Pro 2019. Adobe, will this one ever be fixed?Once you apply the Transform and Basic 3D effect onto a 4k footage or a big picture, anything bigger than the standard 1920x1080 I use, these effects glitch. No way of fixing it by cache deleting, preferences resetting, copying the materials to a new sequence, reinstalling everything from nvidia drivers to Premiere Pro and the whole adobe package. I actually got a new PC and this bug still persists. These two Premiere Pro own effects just dont work together (and I need them to!). In Premiere 2019-2020-2021-2022-2023 and now in 2024!Adobe, please, FIX IT!The only fix that worked for my 4k footage was setting the scale to 50.1 from the default 50 (I have Set to frame size enabled in the options menu for all the bigger footage), but in this case there's a 3840 x 9051 pixels image (an internet page screenshot) and it does not work.Marvellously these effects work together flawlessly if I chan
I am working on a series of audio podcasts. I am using Premiere because I am very comfortable with the interface, plugins, process, etc. Per a number of podcast editors, I am using a 2 frame audio transition as my default. HOWEVER, whether I drag and drop or ctrl + shift + d to add the transition, it is inconsistent. Sometimes I get a 2 frame dissolve. Sometimes I get a 1 frame dissolve... that I then have to double click and change to a 2 second dissolve. Extra steps. Extra time. Imagine having to do this over 150 times in one episode! Does anyone have this same issue? Is there a work-around? Is this a bug? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Hank
It's been like this for the last few updates--When I alt+drag a clip from the project panel onto a highlighted clip on the timeline, it used to preserve the inpoints (along with whatever effects were applied on the timeline clip). This was especially great for replacing watermarked stock clips with full res clips and/or updating animation clips. Now when I ALT+drag the footage from the project screen always begins at the beginning of the clip. I can't believe that more people aren't complaining about this. It is super time consuming to update a lot of clips any other way. This happens on any and all computers I have worked on--not just on my personal, home system.
Just built a new machine with Intel 14th gen cpu, the latest one, and adobe keeps saying I can't download premire pro cause my cpu is too old and doesn't meet the required specs while my 5 year old machine has no problemsI have all drivers up to date and windows 11 with all recent updateswhat is this.....
I've just installed 24.4.1 build 2 on my Win 10 rig. I've got ten clips on a sequence, from one of the cameras connected directly to my system via that delightful Atem unit. I have two boom mics, and I was shooting a series of tests with very slight adaptations to the sound into my Xenyx mixer from each mic, to get them not only balanced but sounding as identical as possible. The clips are extremely close ... these were after achieving a "pretty close" match ... going for "identical". One clip was auto-tagged dialog, the other nine? Nothing. As all clips are me talking through the same pair of mics, nearly identical in audio levels and waveform, I can't figure out why only one would "tag" ... this doesn't seem to be working correctly. @mattchristensenor anyone ... any ideas?
Hello, I have run into a very sudden problem where I am unable to open ANY of my Premiere projects. I am able to create a new project but when I try to open one of my existing ones I get the message "an unknown error occurred opening project". Also, none of my projects are shown as recently opened anywhere within Premiere even though I worked on some of them as recently as a couple of days ago.A few things I have tried:- Opening the project within Premiere, where I get this error message- Opening the project from my Finder, where nothing happens when I try to open the project file either through double clicking or right-clicking and selecting "opeN"- Creating a new project and importing the old project there. This didn't work with most of my projects. It did work with some autosaves of projects however none of the media is linked for some reason and when I try to relink it I consistently get a File Import Failure message saying "the importer reported a generic error"- Updating to
I am editing large amounts of student films into promo reels. When I import the films which have a very strict naming format, occasionally, some will show up in the project window with a different media name. It doesn't matter which method I use to import. I have tried ticking File Name in the Metadata but it makes no difference. I then have to find in Explorer (which it does no problem) and copy the file name across, but that's a ball ache. I am using Premiere Pro 23.6.5 (build 2).Windows 11 Education vers. 22H2Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz16.0 GB RAMGPU NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 I am importing MXF files, saved as DNXHR OP1A. These are films that have been editing and exported from a variety of software (Mainly AVID, Premiere and DaVinci). I think that they were exported and renamed and they are loading with exported name (Untitled, Export 1 etc) and not the submitted title. I have tried to recreate this by changing the name but it imports with the new
Adobe PP Vs: 24.4.1 (Build 2)Windows 11Adobe just updated on my machine and am unable to use the Alt+[left arrow/right arrow key] to nudge the selected audio track left or right specifially after I select and move an audio track. To recreate this issue:1. select audio clip2. move it to a different part on the timeline3. try and nudge the clip left or right using Alt+[left arrow/right arrow key] I have attached a video, sorry for the low quality video but you get the point. When I move the clip then try to immediately nudge it, it doesn't work. I deselect it, then select it (without moving it) then nudge, it works. I was able to do this before this previous update. Thanks! Sorry for the low quality video
I resized three images in my project to a smaller size, but after two seconds, they revert back to their original size automatically. I haven't used any keyframes to animate the size change. Is there a way to keep them at the resized dimensions? For reference, I've attached images showing the issue (before and after).
I keep getting this notification when opening Premiere. I don't have any plugins installed. Premiere 24.2.1, Mac Sonoma
I've just updated to the latest version of Premiere Pro and when I make updates to a linked After Effects file the link is broken in Premiere. Meaning, I have to manually relink the file each time I make an edit. This is completely breaking my workflow. Previously the linked comps just updated automatically, no problem. Sometimes, they even updated without having to save! Any suggestions?

Premiere Pro, don't know what version as it's now stopped opening. I opened a project I started two days ago. I waited for the circle at the top right to finish it's graphical fill and become a tick mark, which idicated it's finished finding my material.I positioned the playhead on the timeline, but the record window remained black. I could move the playhead, but the record window remained black. Pressing play would not do anything, no playhead movement and no video. I doubled-clicked a source file, to load it into the source window, but that too was black. Pressing play did nothing.I exited software. I opened software again and it now crahses before getting to Projects window at the start. This all work on Monday. Didin't use it yesterday. Now it crashes. All other non-Adobe graphics software works correctly. It's just Adobe.Threadripper Pro 3975WX256GB RAM (8 x DIMMS)Nvidia RTX A60007 x 1TB nvme M.2 hard drives.Win
Hello I need urgent assitance - premiere crashed on a big edit delivery, now it wont open any of the project files. Require uregnt tech support. Can anyone help. [Personal information removed by moderator.]
Ever since I updated to Premiere Pro 24.4.1 the render timeline in to out function is extremly slow. Well adobe, you've done it again.
Ever since updating to 24.3.0 I have had issues with Undo and Redo. They both stop working after I've been editing for an hour or so. They are not grayed out in the menu, but they don't work. It's the same when using shortcuts (Command Z and Command/Shift Z) and manually from the edit dropdown. After I quit and restart Premiere they work again (temporarily), but as you can imagine not being able to undo edits is a massive problem and has screwed up my project. I'm on a 16-inch Macbook ProM3 MaxMacOS Sonoma 14.1128 GB RAMNo plugins installed. Any ideas?
Hey Everyone, I have a Macbook Air 2020 model using Monterey OS and I'm using Media Encoder to upload a sequence from Premiere Pro to Frame.io. I've been doing this for months with no problem, but todaywhen I did it, Media Encoder gave me an error message. The message was:Encoding error 9007This is the first time that I've used a 60fps clip and I have it in a 23.976fps timeline. I'm not sure if that's a part of the problem or not, but I wanted a slow motion look for a portion of this scene for my film. When I went to the queue of Media Encoder and clicked on the yellow hazard symbol next to the word "failed" this is the information that came up in the text box: - Encoding Time: 00:03:3404/12/2024 08:30:05 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorError compiling movie.GPU Render ErrorUnable to process frame.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: /Volumes/MAIN G-DRIVE USB-C/Film/Scene 33 for
